Ordered from Pizza Planet on Bell St for a Super Bowl party. The pizza was terrible. It was super dry with basically no sauce or cheese. The toppings fell off when you picked up a slice b/c there was nothing to hold them on. My husband and I were both sick the next day and we threw most of it out. Crew let a customer harass another customer (a 64 yr old disabled person at that) because I dared to ask for a refund AFTER PLACING AN ORDER 1 HR 15 MIN EARLIER STILL NOT READY. Punk stated I "was the problem with America." Of course PUNK had his order in hand, probably ordered 30 min earlier. THEN he stared me down in the parking lot. Again crew said/did nothing. I ordered a Canadian bacon black olive small salad. I was ridiculous. The lettuce was so shredded and wet it was just a ball of wet lettuce. Called ahead of time for a pick up order. Got a X-Large pizza half sausage half cheese also a lasagna on the side. They said they stopped doing spaghetti and meatballs with 2 2liters came out to 40 bucks which is a great deal I think. Pizza was good lasagna was even better a lot of meat in the lasagna. I'm a fan. I'll freely admit that I don't like salads but I love their Cobb salad and the ranch is the best in town my opinion. There pizza is good, not great but good. They do load you up on toppings and that is awesome. They may have the best jalapeño popper pizza around as well. read more

We were in town for spring break and decided to try a local pizza place instead of the chain restaurants. Pizza Planet had good reviews and when we went there to pick up the pizza we saw on the window decals saying they have been in business since 1974! That is always a good sign, because if the food is not good then it would not still be open! We picked up the pizza and took it back to our hotel room. It was so good! Hot, fresh, flavorful! They have a drive up window for pickup which was really nice. I found the pizza to be lacking in adult ingredients however. I felt like I was eating an elementary schools pizza. Why give 3 stars then? The people were really wonderful, everyone had huge smiles and while busy, were clearly having a good time at work. Lastly, someone convinced me to give their salads a try, and honestly, the salads are pretty good. Though I would like to see some spinach or leafs other than iceberg. Ordered Pizza Planet delivery tonight. Was quoted a 7:52 delivery time (45 minutes from order time). The order was finally delivered at 8:10. Order was wrong. No salad, wrong pizza and no icing on cinnamon sticks. Of course what do they have to lose by messing up and taking too long to deliver? Payment and 20 % tip paid at order time. I would not recommend that anyone call in to place an order with Pizza Planet. I called to order a pepperoni pizza and a supreme pizza for my family. I said "let's hold the onions on the supreme". Imagine my surprise when I got the pizzas home to find 3x onions on the supreme. My husband immediately called to try and get a credit for the pizza and the server insisted that she specifically heard me say 3x onions. The place was packed and loud, but she denied that she could have misheard me. She insisted that I misspoke. I want to know how someone who hates onions would misspeak and ask for 3x onions on anything! In short, the staff didn't care, the manager didn't care, and we have ordered our last Pizza Planet pizza. Just had the best pizza I have had in years. I just moved back to Amarillo after being away for 17 years and for the most part where I lived it was Pizza Hut. Not here in Amarillo Pizza Planet will be my go to for delivery at home and hope to try their sit down restaurant. It was Saturday night and I wanted a Pizza checked with the Hut. I was going to order a med with extra pepperoni and have it delivered. I asked for the cost it was going to be $30.00. I said no thanks. Called Pizza Planet order a medium with extra pepperoni and a Salad too. Total cost with 20% tip was $26.00 . The Pizza was actually a large for me being new and a way to say welcome home. Had so much pepperoni on it I couldn't see the crust the way I like it. The salad was large and was perfect and had a ton of Canadian Bacon and Cheese on it. Came with enough crackers which I forgot to order but they were on top of it. Have ordered from Hut and specialty ask for certain things and they usually forget and don't care. Pizza Planet was the place to go in the 80's and 90's. I have been following them on FB and their progress. The cost was excellent!
