I have been here 3 times. The first time I went, they had the best gyro I have ever had. They load it with meat, the sauce is awesome, and the fries were fresh. The other 2 times I went, they were closed. They were suppose to be open at 5:30 and we waited until 5:45. Never opened the doors. The other time I went at lunch and purposely showed up 25 min after they were suppose to open. Doors were locked and wouldn't open them for us. It'd be great of they could open the doors at the times they have posted. Really lacking in customer service. read more

I wish I could give less than 1 star. The pizza was ok but they are very shady with delivery. They told me it was a 3 dollar charge for the driver but when when she got to my house it was 5 dollars more than I expected. The driver gave me a ticket with the number 24.90 written on it with no explanation of tax or anything. I ordered a 16 inch half mushroom , half cheese pizza. When I called to ask why it was more than was quoted they said they charged 2.00 for the extra topping. I said I only had one topping and she said no you had cheese and mushrooms. I didn't have extra cheese but she said she could have given me the pizza without cheese so it counts as a topping. It is amazing how people will try to nickel and dime you. Don't order delivery from here. It's not worth it. read more

Such an Amarillo favorite. I wonder if the times aren't catching up with them though. Food is still ok but 29$ for 2 Gyro plates seems like inflation has caught this great old place in a trap of to unaffordable for what ya get. Only place in this town to find a good gyro. Actually the best gyro I've had, and I've been to quite a few gyro/greek joints. Nice family operated business with a quaint ambiance. Every time I come into town I make sure to visit this delicious restaurant. It's sad to see such bad reviews for this place. Especially about pricing, $10 for a gyro plate is a steal, especially considering how authentic and delicious they truly are. If you're not willing to pay the price for good food there's a McDonald's right down the road that I'm sure will gladly fit your budget. Vince's you're truly a hidden gem. read more

I was going to Bangkok Tokyo today and Vince's had zero clients for lunch when I was there. Bangkok was packed. I parked as far from Vince's front door which was next to the gas station. As we were walking to Bangkok, a lady from Vince's comes out to tell us we can not park by gas station as that is their parking spot too! They had Zero - No Clients!!! A homeless man was sitting there between Bangkok and Vince's and heard everything, he asked me if I would eat at Vince's, I looked at him and said NO. Homeless man starts laughing and says, "They are envious of Bangkok, look they are packed and they have no one, they are stupid because now they lost you as a client"! The homeless man is smart and very correct, I would NEVER give my business to Vince's and they indeed did lose me 100% without me even going inside their establishment. I very strongly hope that Vince's goes out of business as Bangkok could use their space!!! Why be so greedy when you have zero clients, as long as people park away from your door. One thing to consider is, if Bangkok is doing so much business, maybe figure out a way to give Bangkok clients some kind of promotion for parking in your space when Vinces's has no one! Vince's will stand a much better chance of getting clients verses getting rid of clients before they even enter their establishment! I am a perfect example, Bangkok has phenomenal food and I am new in town, I had already been thinking of visiting Vince's, NOT any more with that lady yelling, telling me to go elsewhere.....Vince's loss is someone else's gain.......be smart!!! read more

Decided to try this pizza joint on a whim tonight when kiddo told me that she wanted pizza for dinner. Given the option, I'd like to support small Mom & Pop places rather than the big chain pizza slingers. The lady that answered the phone was, honestly, pretty rude when I called my pick-up order in. Rude to the point that I considered canceling the order, but I decided to forge ahead. As to the pizza - completely unremarkable and overpriced. BTW - the joint was completely empty at 7:15 on a Wednesday night. One bright spot of the Vince's experience was that the guy running the joint gave me a free sample of the gyro meat when I expressed my surprise that they served gyros and baklava in addition to the pizzas. Admittedly, the meat was greasy and had been sitting out for a while but, hey...it's the thought that counts, right? read more

This place has good food, I ordered a spaghetti and meatballs and a gyro and some baklava sh. I loved the gyro meat and the spaghetti was good. I liked the sauce a lot, it's not the best sauce I have had but it is still good. I love the meatball very soft and full of flavor. The cheese bread was good I wish it had more garlic salt, You may have to ask for more sauce if you order out like me. I ordered the baklava sh it was good the use Honey. I ordered out and it took an hour like they said and it cost 5 dollars, it was easy ordering and they were very nice to me, I will order from them again first chance I get and try something else. read more

This is easily my favorite restaurant in Amarillo. I keep telling myself that I will try something besides their calzones, gyros and pizza, but I never do. Other people have told me that the other stuff is great too. I have had gyros in other towns in Texas and one place in New Mexico and I have yet to find one that equals the taste of Vince's. Some people may complain about the wait time, but most people are sucked in by the fast food culture. Good food sometimes takes time. Other people have complained about the service and it may not seem good, but that is partly because it is all done in the family and they do a lot of business so they don't have a lot of time to serve your every minute need. The only the only thing that I would say negatively about this place is that since it is family owned and run, the days they are open and closed may not always be in concordance with the times and days on their door. This place is amazing and one that I will continue going to until they close or until I die, whichever comes first. read more

mmmm.Gyros....Best in town due to actual spit fired gyros and the portion they offer. When they close, as they have a tendency to do, I go into gyros withdrawals, and have to check myself into a clinic. Pizza is way better than anything from most places in town, but no longer my favorite.....Their calzone, which is deep fried at the end, rules supreme in Amarillo.
