Ordered off uber eats and it looked just like the picture!! I ordered the club sandwich, sea salt chips and macaroni salad. I wasn't disappointed at all!!! I had everyone at work try one of my sandwiches. I was full and wanted to share! My new favorite sandwich spot! read more

Cheap (for Pasadena) sandwiches from an independent shop. For about $7 you can get a sandwich with avocado, however, they don't offer any combo options, everything is a la carte. They have a variety of bread option including wheat, sourdough, squaw (see menu) and you can mix and match. They will even toast the bread for cold sandwiches. Sure, the price is about the same for a chain sandwich shop (Which Wich), but you're supporting your small business here. The parking lot can get really packed during the lunch rush 12-2pm, so plan accordingly. There is a small indoor and outdoor eating area but is usually all full during lunch. Vince's Deli accepts credit cards. TIP: There is a Mexican fruit stand at the entrance across from the Huntington Hospital where for $5 (Cash only), you can purchase a variety of fresh cut fruit (seasonal). read more

I have only been here once and I am already a fan! I was looking for a local Deli in Pasadena and yelp answered my prayers. I came her for lunch yesterday, phoned in my order, showed up less than 10 minutes later and my order was sitting there ready for me to pay with no line. I ordered the Avocado, Turkey, Sprouts and Swiss Sub & picked a Snapple out of the fridge to drink. My total order came out to $9.03. The sub was exactly what I was craving. As an avocado lover, you can't go wrong with avocado, turkey & Swiss, but the addition of sprouts seals the deal for me. I can't wait to try a different sandwich next week. I read on the reviews that this place gets busy around lunch time because they share a parking lot, but this was not the case for me. I take my lunch at 11:30am and I found a spot immediately. read more

Not my first time here, had the BLT w/Avacado....holy shitsnacks!!! It is bomb diggity delicious!!! Thought maybe the first time around was just a fluke maybe, boy was I wrong! This place rocks! The sammich broken down: Wheat bread was softer than a baby's bottom and tasted so delicious. The lettuce was crispy with a slight chill to it. Tomatoes....not too big, not too small...not soggy at all, just the way I like em. Now the best part...BACON!!!! Crispy and crunchy but not burnt. This takes a master chef or someone who is skilled with a grill. Ahhhmazing!!! Highly recommend this to my fellow yelpers and friends!!! read more

Part of my Reuben sandwich adventure had a stop here. It didn't look like much, as it was inside a strip mall, but I had faith. Walking inside it looked more like an ice cream parlor than it did a Deli, thats okay I've had great sandwiches from deceiving looking places before. Unfortunately you CAN judge this book by its cover, my Reuben wasn't great. Pricey. Kind of small, and they didn't offer Russian dressing. The bread was also very tough. Forgettable. read more

This place has good sandwiches. Nothing special, nothing terrible. We have tried calling for phone orders but the phone rings and rings and no one picks up. We have to call quite a few times before someone finally picks up. They have messed up my orders quite a few times. Items made wrong or items missing. Very frustrating. read more

Great spot for lunch! They've put together a winning combination: fresh food, friendly service, and affordable prices Down side is that the parking lot is busy and can be hard to find a parking spot. Macaroni salad and the sandwich was delicious! read more

I have passed by this place so many times and it's my first time as a customer! Pretty healthy options they have there, I like that they have a big part of the menu dedicated to avocado lovers. And I LOVE AVOCADOS!! You can also add that onto any sandwiches. The add-on list also includes sprouts, and I LOVE SPROUTS on my sandwiches. Just by judging from the above, I know I am going to love this place. After some serious thoughts, I went with the mushroom, avocado, provolone on wheat with sprouts. Quite a few staffs working at the station, and they move pretty fast! A lady before me ordered 3 sandwiches so I thought it will be a long wait, but the 5-10mins wait go by pretty fast! They have a list that tells you what kind of things come with your sub/sandwich, as it is not up on the board look for it by the cashier! The full-sized sandwich is just the right size for me, a regular will be too small! The avocado didn't disappoint. Instead of sliced pieces, it is more of a creamy spread. I am not sure if they have put anything else in it because it is sooo yummy!! All the ingredients including the bread are so fresh! The sandwich was a very delicious one. I believe they don't toast the bread unless it is a sub, which I am fine with. Ask for light mayo if u need to as they do put quite a lot in it. For vegetarians, there are only 2 choices. But I am sure you can ask them to skip the meat if you see something you like off the menu. This place is like the local version of subway for me. A better, healthier version and I will be coming back often to grab lunch :) read more

Stopped by today just to try it out! I really did like it. There honestly is nothing too special about this place its just good! White bread roll was very soft, ingredients were fresh. I was happy after eating. I really had no problems but it did not blow me away! I got the Roast Beef Avocado Swiss. I really did like it! I do feel that they should put more meat into it! Also you should know that the avocado is already mashed which is different to me! Oh and my friend and I thought it was so weird how you can go behind the counter to get your own drinks! So interesting. We kind of stood around until we saw the sign. OVERALL, very fresh! If I am in the area and craving a sandwich then I will deffinitely be back. I am really glad I stopped. Simple but good! read more

Vince's Deli is definitely a nice treat for locals in the Pasadena area. Location Vince's Deli is hidden within a small strip mall consisting of little family owned shops and restaurants as well as a Vons. Since it is in a crammed strip mall parking can be difficult. The inside is small but houses a decent amount of chairs and tables; They also have a few outside tables. Food Avocado Special: Regular 6" Turkey, Sprouts, Avocado, and Swiss $5-6 Large Italian Coldcut: Large $6-7 Both sandwiches were lovely and left a nice impression. The meats tasted fresh and didn't come in a slimy texture which I appreciated. The vegetables they used were fresh and in good proportion to the sandwiches. They definitely didn't skimp on the avocado which is uncommon nowadays. They have a well-rounded selection of chips and drinks which allows you to add your own touch to any meal. They also have potato salad and pasta salad; I didn't try it though. Price The price of all sandwiches, drinks, and chips is extremely competitive when comparing them to other Delis. Employees The staff was nice, friendly, and patient with us as we grilled them about their menu. After the initial purchase the staff is pretty much nonexistent; similar to subway's process of serving customers. The thing I liked about them was that they didn't ignore us when we came to the counter they stopped what they were doing and actually paid attention to us rather than ignore us and continue on with their conversation like so many other places do. Overall I really enjoyed Vince's Deli and would love to try more things on their menu. read more

Stopped by for a bite before work, great sandwich. Service was good and they even have Virgil's root beer!

Do you ever go into a place thinking...wow, I know nothing about this place but it's busy so I'll try it. That was me, at Vince's, last week. I had just dropped off magazines at the hospital and I was famished and couldn't fathom driving too far. So I popped across the street and was treated to a little bit of what Grace Y calls "sammich heaven." What I had? Turkey, Avocado, Lettuce and tomato on a soft hogie roll. It was delish and it came fast. Service was pleasant. they have a large, varied menu and I was attracted to the fact that they offered an "avocado lovers" section. I myself am an avocado lover. Yippeeeeee, I found my fix. don't tell anyone, ok? read more

TOTALLY DELICIOUS!!! Had to stop myself from coming here so often...The NY Pastrami is awesome on the french roll. The turkery avocado is also amazing...and the veggie sandwich, and everything else :) TIP: Order Ahead...they get bust during lunch hour! ALSO, THEY HAVE THE BEST RANCH...CANT FIND BETTER! read more

I had the NY pastrami on rye. Good price, the sandwich is smaller than a langers but big enough for most men. The flavor is great. The other sandwiches look good too. It's a must try. read more

Actually had to buy an envelope & a stamp at the small post office here in the shopping center...and noticed Vince's Deli...and was mildy surprised to find it was open! Since all i had for breakfast was a bowl of cereal, i decided to hop in and see what was up with this place. Inside was small. But they have a decent selection of sandwiches to choose from - especially if you like avocados! They're open somewhat early, too (0830am). There are 7 small 2-person tables for you to sit at, and 3 taller 2-person tables. Friendly people behind the counter, good food, coffee & smoothies, too! They DO deliver - but it's only from 11-2 Monday thru Friday, AND it's a minimum 4-sandwich order. Will definitely come back for more. read more

Love the bread and veggies they put in the Turkey sandwich, except not sure why they put less and less Turkey in it lately. Literally had only two of those thinly sliced slices hidden among the onions and lettuce Has anyone else noticed? Is this due to the pandemic? read more

Sandwiches were good, that's not the problem. The problem is it taking the majority of a lunch hour just waiting for our sandwiches. Taking our order went fairly quick, even though there were a few people ahead of us. But waiting almost 40 minutes for our three sandwiches just isn't acceptable. Especially when four orders placed after ours went out ahead of ours. read more

It's hard for me to order something else from here I like the BLT with Avocado no mayo on wheat lightly toasted...umm I am getting hungry writing about it but not much to write about when it comes to a BLT, haha. The shop it simple very small not too much seating and the park well it is in Pasadena so you know the parking around here, good luck. Take someone with you just in case you're on your lunch hour that way one person and hop out to pick up the order and the other person drive around to pick up back up. As good as they say! Clean, fast, good sized portions of quality ingredients, served by happy people, proud of their product. Definitely bigger and better than Subway and less expensive than Togo's. We liked the balance between fillings and bread since we aren't big meat eaters. The latter would probably prefer the equally fun Pasadena Sandwich Company's humongous, meaty creations (especially anything with roast pork - their unique speciality). Avoid going at rush hour as the parking lot is frequented by too many rude, self-important folks in a big hurry. read more

Bomb. I'm a huge fan of avocado so this place is already great in my book. I heard about this place through my hairstylist who actually frequents Vince's. I've been to this plaza a couple of times, but never noticed this mom and pop shop. I wish I tried it sooner, but if I'm ever in the area and craving a sandwich, I would come here. Vince's Deli is cheap and their portions are filling. I got the avocado and ham... My mouth is drooling just thinking about it. You have a variety of options for the type of bread, as well as cheese. When you're ordering, there's a list that is placed in front of you... Don't forget to look at that! I did and agreed to have everything added on, but I didn't like pickles so I had to take it out one by one. That's my own personal fault though. Their avocado is not like some typical sandwich spots where it's sliced, but it is mushed which makes it so much easier to eat and it doesn't slip out as much. A lot of people come here for lunch so be aware that it could get a bit crowded, but I think they do a good job getting orders out efficiently! read more

I keep trying this place every time I get stuck visiting Huntington Hospital. And every time I am reminded why I would never come here if I was not stuck visiting Huntington Hospital. I have NO idea why this place has 4 and 5 star reviews. Their sandwiches are just a little better than the Hospital Cafeteria which is why people come here I guess. And yes they are reasonably priced. But if your bar is set soo low that all you have to do is be better than a hospital cafeteria, can you really call yourself a great sandwich shop???? 1) they never listen to your order. I have ordered several sandwiches on squaw bread only to receive them on different bread. You would think having 4 ladies there most of the time they could get the bread right. 2) if you do actually take the time to try and go back or complain over the phone they tell you the manager is not there. 12:45 pm on a Wednesday during the lunch rush apparently there is not manager on duty. 3) Even if you manage to get your sandwich the way you ordered it and in a timely fashion. Its really not any better than a sandwich you could make at home. I'm pretty sure this place is the reason there is a Subway on the hospital grounds now. Because clearly mediocre sandwiches sell great around here.... read more

I don't know what it is. I really wanted to absolutely love this place. Maybe I hyped it up for myself too much after reading Sarah A's review of this place. I love me a good sandwich. I mean, a pile of meat in between 2 pieces of bread. It's like every guy's fantasy, a threesome with 2 hot chicks. In this case, the bread would be the hot chicks and I would be the meat. Just sayin'.... I actually was kinda hoping that I had bookmarked this place so I could feel a little bit of accomplishment erasing another one of my bookmarks, but I didn't, so oh well. Walking in the space is long and narrow. It seemed to be run by 2 middle aged Korean women, with a hispanic young woman also taking orders with 3 more hispanic women making the sandwiches. Even nearing 1 o clock when the lunch rush typically dies down, this place still had a line 8-10 people deep. I browsed the menu and Sarah is right, one-third of their menu is dubbed "For Avocado Lovers". It was awesome. But being a cold and overcast day like it was today, I wanted a hot sandwich. What's hot sandwich is better than a pastrami? So I got a large Sub #6, which was pastrami and sauteed mushrooms on a roll with everything: lettuce, tomato, onions, pickle, mayo and mustard. I took the sandwich home (because I never like eating there unless I'm with another person) and dug in. My initial reaction? It was good and definitely filled me up, but it wasn't the best pastrami I've had. Certainly not the worst I've had either. Still a really good sandwich considering the price. I probably will still end up going to Sandwich Story more, but when Sandwich Story isn't open (they have limited hours), I'm coming here. This gets "The Chef's" 1 1/2 thumbs up! read more

Very disappointed. Came at lunch time with 30 minutes to spare before a dr. appt. I actually had plenty of time, had the employee been able to make my sandwich. Excuse me? You don't have enough lettuce cut for the lunch rush? Wow.
