I really like it here. I'm going to give it 4 stars because I love the concept and the food is genuinely wonderful. However, I've come in with my family a few times recently and a few things stand out. The menus are not doing too hot, as in there's visible wear and tear to the point that they're just hanging on by a thread. It doesn't look great and some of the writing is note legible. Also, the last few times the food has been basically warm temperature. One of my least favorite things at an establishment, possibly pet peeve, but I like when food arrives hot. Also, some menu items are simply not available on the menu, so why are they on it? Again, food is great, concept is great, taste is great and service is always great. A few things need to be addressed however and I'll keep coming back regularly. read more

This diner used to be our fav. We drive from Whiting for breakfast or lunch. But something has happened to the service. On 2 occasions we came in with a party of 8 for breakfast and a Party of 7 for breakfast. Both times the food came out room temperature. The first time we complained to the server. The second time my son talked me out of it. But, I'm not happy with food that sits for a while before service. I wonder if they are short runners or servers? No matter how good the food is, in my opinion if it's not hot, it ruins the whole eating-out experience. Please tighten up the food delivery time Vincenttown Diner....I've been bragging about you for quite a while and I'd hate to look for another place for breakfast or lunch. Ty read more

This is my 2nd time here - half way point for me to meet a friend. The place looks nice and service is great. I ordered shrimp scampi and the whole dish swims in grease. The kitchen can be a little light on the oil/butter. read more

Listen, we've been spoiled by many other places, but especially Kitchen 87 for the past, almost 11 years.... So we are on the hunt for a new Burger, breakfast and brunch place to call home. The place is very clean in the dining rooms, the tables are Kind of Ontop of one another and barely any room to get by. If we came back, we would ask for a booth, the tables were Cramped. We did not visit the restrooms, so I cannot speak on them, but overall, nicely decorated and Clean. I got the bacon omelette with American cheese, which was very good, but the home fries kind of ruined it due to the lack of flavor and also they were mushy. I am a coffee person and my cup of coffee was $3.49 and I only got 2 cups of coffee to drink because of the lack of our server coming back. I actually had to ask someone totally different if I could have a 2nd cup because our server was rolling silverware. I was disappointed that our server didn't spend much time with us, because I had Many questions, because I haven't been in here in over 15 years. The coffee company is called Evermore and I can say that I have never had it before, but it was not very caffeine powered and I'm not a fan of the flavor. I did not feel a difference and the taste was just mundane, unfortunately. I had high hopes for my coffee because that's what I need to jumpstart my day. My husband got A cheeseburger, he selected the "Betta Chedda", which has a lot of stuff on it, lettuce, tomato, red onion and it including bacon! He added Mushrooms! It was pretty Large and good but it was Lacking something. He Did order a side of brown gravy for dipping his fries in and it tasted homemade and delicious, like Pan drippings from a roast beef! Overall, the food is good but it definitely was missing something. It is sort of troubling and I'm not sure why, but The servers walk around sort of Oblivious and look absolutely MISERABLE! I'm not sure if we Will be back, because if it is as difficult as it was to get a refill of coffee, I might as well buy a coffee maker and just make it at home. To Be continued...... read more

Our server was so sweet & I forgot her name, Rachel?? Not your typical diner at all. Firstly they serve alcohol and secondly their menu is so extensive and has flavor twists. We opted for the Turkey Dinner & Prime Rib sandwich - if I wasn't an hour plus away from home I would have had something with the birria sauce on it. Portions huge, had to bring things to go !! read more

First off the food looked good at first but that's definitely deceiving. The hamburger was originally bought frozen. At 14.99 was crazy. It was very bland and didn't taste very good at all. They pile the lettuce, onions, tomato and cheese. If you're a big man you can handle it for sure. It was so big I couldn't bite into it. Even my husband couldn't handle it so well. The French onion soup was good in the beginning until I started feeling hard pieces in the broth which btw I still have no idea what that was. Our server could care less about anything probably because she's overworked. The total on our bill was $41. Oh make sure you tip. We couldn't finish our lunch. We took it out. Drove home and threw it in the dumpster. read more

Great service, good selection of comfort foods. Places always crowded, at least at the times I go. Well I understand everything is organic and fresh etc, some of prices are a bit high in my opinion. If you go for breakfast definitely try the billion-dollar bacon, thick cut bacon with some sort of sauce and seasoning on it, it's really good. read more

Female manager was completely disrespectful and rude. If you hate your job that much just quit. She was literally ten feet away from me and instead of coming up to talk to me. She told one of the waitresses what to say to me when I could literally see her and hear her! She also talked rudely to the employee and smirked at me as I left. Everyone else was kind to me. After a quick run through the local car inspection station on an early morning, I decided to treat myself to breakfast at the Vincentown Diner, a local staple since 1973, though the ownership and menu have been upgraded to include all sorts of innovative items, and a commitment to using locally-sourced farm to table food. I was happily greeted right at opening and seated in one of them many booths. The Vincentown still has a good-sized counter area as well as the aforementioned booths and another large dining room. If you are ever there for lunch or dinner, they also have a liquor license and serve beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Looking over the rather extensive breakfast menu, I decided to go with something called a Stacker, which I wasn't quite sure of, but turned out to be the right choice! Hashbrowns on the bottom and on the top, and a filler of your choice in the middle. Basically a normal breakfast plate stacked high, instead of wide, lol. Mine included a little truffle mayo and was good to the last bite. Also included a side of fresh fruit! Vegetarian, friendly! Great coffee, too! Service was also a cheery and attentive without being overbearing. There you are dining alone or with a large group, they've got a space for you, and everyone will be able to find something to be jazzed about on their menu. read more

Mediocre food and poor service. My chicken parm was very tough. Wife's pancakes were rubbery; they were probably frozen and microwaved. It seems this place is attempting to be upscale but if they can't carry off the basics well I'm skeptical about anything fancy. Server was perfunctory and some other server delivered the food. While paying the cashier asked how everything was and I said "disappointing" and there was no response. The overall atmosphere and vibe was off-putting. We won't return. read more

This diner is the only place that knows how to cook the beyond burgers. Much appreciated. But. It desperately needs to add some vegan desserts. Real ones. That look just like the others. I'd pay an extra buck for a good vegan dessert. If it adds desserts, I'd make sure to post in all the vegan groups in the area. I googled vegan bakeries near the diner. Half a dozen or more popped up. Basically, please add legitimate vegan desserts. read more

Stopped in one late lunch time because I heard food was great. The whole experience was terrible. 3 out of 4 hated their food - let me explain - my Philly cheese steak was almost all bread very little meat could not find the cheese and way too many onions. The French fries were cold. My wife's mile high meatloaf looked terrible and tasted worst and the mashed potatoes were between 2 overcooked meat slabs and mixed vegetables uncooked - took 75% home and in the trash it went. Finally took 2 pieces of crumb peach pie home - the crust was thick peaches were not ripe and the filling in the pie I believe was peach jam. Hard to even give this diner a rating read more

We've eaten at the Vincentown Diner a few times now, once for breakfast, and once for dinner. We felt our breakfast experience was better than the time we stopped for dinner, mainly because the French Toast they serve is outstanding. When we had dinner at the Vincentown Diner the other night, I ordered a Cubano sandwich, my wife went with the Country Chicken dinner, and my Mother In Law had the Pumpkin Chicken Waffle. My Cubano was decent, but I felt there was much more bread to meat in the sandwich. It was still tasty enough though. I could see that my wife wasn't thrilled with her Country Chicken dinner, was kinda blah & boring. But my Mother In Law loved her Pumpkin Chicken Waffle, she finished her whole meal, which she rarely does. I had a bite of her waffle, and it was pretty good. We ordered a slice of Peanut Butter Pie to all share for dessert. HUGE slice, pie was creamy and good, but we detected a banana flavor in it. My Mother In Law said that places will often use bananas as a cheap filler in pies, but like I just said, we still enjoyed the dessert. All in all, we've been pretty satisfied with our trips to the Vincentown Diner, we'd certainly go back again, but probably for breakfast. read more

Best diner around. The consistency and creativity of their menu items is very well done. The Vincentown diner embraces what a diner is meant to be and the vibes inside are a true representation of that under a modern light. Kylee in particular is a fantastic server--time and time again. This place has gotten a lot of good press over the years but I don't think it is that outstanding. The ambiance is a bit dark and not inviting and the portions are not that big for what they are charging (though my panini was very good, kudos for that). Service: not great. My server seemed to have forgotten about me after my meal wound down and I had to intercept another server to track him down. Not horrible by any means, but there are better diner experiences to be had a few miles in any direction. read more

While out all day, it was time for my friend and I to grab a bite to eat in out of the sun. We were pleasantly greeted by more than one employee as we entered and were guided to our table. The booth was very comfortable. It wasn't loud or too brightly lit. Our server was top notch, very attentive but not hovering. There were so many interesting things on the menu, we finally decided to share Corn Ribs appetizer. OH MY how delectable they were, and the fabulous dip that was served with them! Another NJ dinner review. The voted Best Chicken and Waffles of southern NJ sign brought us in. The place as all the Dinners on this stretch of road has been recently renovated. It's clean with a large capacity but not cramped. I had the Pan Seared Pork Chops with a Lemon Rosemary sauce and a Caesar Salad, their Caesar like the Caesar's I had in New Jersey don't have added shaved or grated Parmesan cheese. Thinking might be a regional thing. It was good with very green leafy chopped romaine lettuce and a creamy Caesar dressing. The Pork Chops were Phenomenal. Two big thick cuts of the Pork Loin, wish it had been bone-in. But it was cooked perfect the Lemon Rosemary sauce really complemented the pork. I'd love to see that on grilled chicken thighs. My wife had the now billboard famous Chicken and Waffles. The chicken wasn't freezer to Deep Fried and the outer batter had a honey like taste lightly breaded and cooked perfect. Waffle was a good buttermilk waffle with a drizzle of honey. For an appetizer we had the bread basket with better than Texas Roadhouse fresh and cloud fully rolls with an salted butter brush and a Cinnabon honey butter read more

Love this diner. First time here and we found the service perfect and the food was beyond delicious. Had lunch here on Saturday, October 26. It was busy, but we were seated pretty quickly and were greeted by our server promptly. I ordered the "Million Dollar Grilled Cheese" and my company had the "Mile High Meatloaf". The grilled cheese was delicious! Very unique sandwich and it was served hot and fresh! My dining companion loved his Meatloaf. It's a big hearty portion. Definitely be back next time I'm in the area. read more

Very good food and service. 8 of us went there after a hike in the pine barrens. They were very busy but our wait for a table was less than they anticipated. Food is really good. They have seasonal rotation of different dishes. They use a lot of local products. In their dishes.

They said it was a 30 min wait, but we were seated in 10! And they have rocking chairs to wait on. The service was SO quick and amazing. The menu is FULL of options for EVERYONE. There's an ENTIRE PAGE of vegetarian options... that are GOOD! I got campfire waffle fries from that page, delicious. Bruschetta was great, my cold brew coffee was too. Yelp is weird sometimes man, I don't see how this place can average 3 stars it's pretty damn good. It's about as good as a diner can get, probably a five star diner but a 4 star restaurant overall. Typical ambiance and friendly service, lots of seating. A pretty inventive menu with tons of options and it seems like the specials change frequently. I've had a couple really good sandwiches. Always seems to be good local beer on tap as well. Only real "complaint" is it's kind of in the middle of nowhere and sometimes tough to justify the drive since there are similar places all over. read more

Haven't been in a while and still a great place with a menu sure to please everyone. We started with the fried calamari appetizer, large portion, delish and loved the light batter. Known for The Mile High meatloaf and there is no doubt I'll order it again and again. If not in the mood for a full meal.. the sandwiches are a wonderful tasty option. The grilled chicken panini was flavorful and French fries also have a coating with nice seasoning. Don't forget dessert. I watched a number of good looking desserts pass by me on the way to their destinations, we opted for key lime pie, too full to finish a slice between us but made sure we got a box to take home the rest, this heavenly tasting dessert will be good as a left over tomorrow. Coffee cups are oversized and filled with terrific tasting coffee. read more

If your last trip to Flavortown was to Vincentown Diner, you would be delightfully surprised at the meal you would receive here. So go ahead and add that to the list. Growing up in Jersey, I feel that Vincentown Diner definitely raves as one of the better local diners that I have been to. I mean, don't take my word for it - you can always look to a much better known and more qualified person than myself, i.e. Guy Fieiri. Not an expert in diner cuisine and experiences by any means, I feel that Vincentown Diner does a great job in keeping with the times - the modernization of their image and menu is apparent. Sure, there is definitely the train of thought that sticking with the basics is the right way of doing things. However, I argue that in an industry and culture where stagnation may result in downfall, Vincentown Diner does a great job at maintaining the basics while exploring menu items that bridges the gap to other tastes and experiences. As such, Vincentown Diner is truly unique. From the moment you arrive, you will find that the Vincentown Diner does not subscribe to the typical brick-and-mortar, 70s/80s diner appearance. The design of the building is incredibly sleek, with clean lines and appearance. It does a great job at catching one's attention as it sits upon the intersection. You may even mistake it as a fine dining venue, until you see the word "diner" on it. There is a neat patio area with rocking chairs, but all the seating is located inside the diner. Upon entering the diner, you will begin to see the transition into the old school diner look as if you are travelling through time in a sense. The diner is clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are a bit small, but this is probably not the reason why you're here. We ate here around noon, and found that the service was great. Literally the entire staff was approachable and incredibly friendly. Our waiter was outstanding and knowledgeable of the menu items; he was on point with taking our orders and delivered accordingly. As mentioned previously, the menu items fused traditional diner items (breakfast, sandwiches, and burgers) and explores a bit of other cultural items. The food was great (I know I'm being vague here, but I assure you that you will be delighted with the portions and flavor in your meal). I'm looking forward to coming back again, and trying out their burgers. If you're working on Fort Dix, whether that be during the weekday or weekend, I challenge you to make the trip out this way to Vincentown Diner. Trust me, the meal will make your day! But really for anyone in New Jersey, I would recommend Vincentown Diner as a State-wide staple. read more
