Had dinner for four last night....was not impressed. Shrimp soup sounded good but shrimp was rubbery and few! Lamb shanks, bland but large corn pieces were delicious. The appetizers were good. I left thinking it was over priced and bland. Maybe just a bad night but not real busy. read more

Great Peruvian food! Ordered the Lomo Saltado to go and it was delicious. Crispy potatoes, flavors on point. My husband is Peruvian so I'm familiar with the cuisine. I think he would definitely recommend this place. read more

Very nice place. Good service. The waiter guided us since we were not familiar with Peruvian food. Enjoyed the my dinner and will return again. read more

I love this restaurant. The food is always fresh. The service is always top notch. And the owners are very attentive. They have the best green pepper sauce I've ever had, and it goes with everything!! So good! read more

The service was great, the food was excellent! Definitely coming back to eat. Best Peruvian food in town. All the food is so fresh and each dish is a Peruvian staple! read more

Loved the small intimate space. Great for a date night. The food while heavily protein and carb centric is flavorful and extremely well done. The Peruvian alcohol made for a refreshing difference. read more

The staff was friendly, the veal heart was bomb, and the ceviche was a refreshing battery acid flavor that really cleanses your palate due to the loss of tastebuds. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and the chance to experience Peruvian food, but i still have heartburn from the acidity of the meal and that was 6 hours ago. read more

Wether you have tried Peruvian cuisine before or not, do yourself a favor and visit Villa Peru. The Ceviche and Lomo Saltado are exquisite. The Pisco sour is delicious! The menu choices are plenty and so tempting its hard to choose. I will come back to try everything else. The atmosphere is warm and inviting in every aspect. The care and attention to detail are obvious in this family run business. Food with love. The decoration is classy and elegant with the distinctly Peruvian cultural references you might expect. Two huge thumbs up! read more

Great food and service. This is a family owned placed and one of the sons took his time to recommend the different types of food. Would definitely come here again. The steak and the side dishes were outstanding. read more

We recently went to Villa Peru for a birthday celebration. Having lived in South America, and visiting Peru many times, we are familiar with "authentic" Peruvian food. The food was wonderful, a lot of the dishes were things we recognized from eating in Peru. The service was very good and attentive and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone that would like to try something a little out of the ordinary. read more

Delicious and authentic Peruvian cusine. Restaurant is beautifully decorated. Staff is attentive and food is incredible! Live music and decor make this ambience perfect for a five star meal. read more

This is the best peruvian restaurantin town! The prices are fair for the quality of food. The Ceviches are great. The Lomo is great. The meat falls right off the bone on the lamb! They have a pisco bar with 8 or 9 pisco themed craft cocktails. Totally unique! I am peruvian and i am very proud to take my friends and to recomend to everyone who havent tried peruvian food before. I have gone 4 times and will go back very soon! read more

Small portions of mediocre food at high prices. The presentation was picture perfect, but we did not go to take pics of our dinner. My lomo saltado was the best of the four entrees. The other 3 entrees ranged from average to a big disappointment. My 3 companions were Latinos who are familiar with Peruvian cuisine. None of them want to return. read more

We are so happy to have found this delicious restaurant! We went in looking for ceviche and were so delighted w this fabulous place! So many choices; service was terrific; dishes served eloquently n tasted perfect! Can't wait to come in for their special Ceviche night. We sat on their front patio w our doggy, Sammy. All was great! read more

Classy and comfortable. Beautiful atmosphere. My boyfriend and I decided to split a few dishes and try a little bit of many items. He choose the beef stew with cinnamon and cloves. I was hesitant that my palate would not appreciate it but it was absolutely amazing. Great comfort food and reminded me of Christmas. I ordered the trio of ceviche and all three dishes were incredible. Our waiter, Sal, helped me choose from the many options and he was spot on after telling him what I was looking for. Best and most unique ceviche I've ever had. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items!! read more

The food was great. The staff was friendly. What more could you ask for! I will definitely be going back in the future!

This restaurant is 5 stars. I wish I could relate it higher. Everything on the menu out of control, delicious. Can't go wrong with anything, I could've licked my plate. Absolutely beautiful ambiance and energy, great service. Any excuse I will try and come here. Officially one of my favorite places to eat in Tucson. As much I'd love to keep this restaurant to myself people need to know about this place. Ridiculously good read more

I cannot say enough great things about this Tucson gem! We were invited by one of the owners (who happens to be a coworker of my husband) to their 1 yr celebration last night. My husband has never tried Peruvian food and I've only tried it one time 10 yrs ago at a former Tucson restaurant. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly greeted and sat at a table for 2 with a high chair on the end ready for our toddler. Our water glasses were always filled and we were checked on by both our waiter and the owners frequently. We snacked on plantain chips and toasted corn. Yummy! I ordered the Chicha Morada to drink which was delicious. I tasted hints of cinnamon and pineapple. They prepared a special menu so I cannot remember the exact names of our dishes but they were unforgettable. I had the duck with a side of rice and a vegetable which included peas. My husband had a linguine dish with steak and shrimp. Both were excellent and we left satisfied!! We gave our waiter a big tip because we were so impressed with the service and food! We will be back for sure! read more

I was unhappy with the service i was getting. The ceviche was like nothing I've had. You eat it with a spoon and it didn't taste good. I asked for bread and got it not knowing id get charged. No butter. They brought out butter cold couldn't even use it. Not returning. read more

Have been here a dozen or more times, wanted to support it when it was new to this location and kept doing so during Coronavirus despite it being an hour to an hour and a half (depending on traffic) round-trip drive from our house. Didn't come much at the height of Coronavirus, but was the only restaurant we did go to during that time. Have told many, many friends about this restaurant, and in addition to coming to eat today, intended on inquiring about reservations for approximately 30 co-workers for someone's retirement party. Always good food, but came in the middle of the day today with my little daughter and stood waiting to be seated. No one came, despite the owners cooking literally a couple feet away from me on the other side of a clear glass partition. The cooks were all busy, (though there weren't many customers for the service to deal) with so I figured, no big deal. I looked at the brunch menu to see if I wanted something different. Still, no one came. A waiter passed us by three times without even looking at us, the only people standing there right at the small reception area, in plain view. Keep in mind this is in broad daylight, he was literally about 5 feet away from us, with nothing between us. One cook, who I'm pretty sure (given that masks don't help in recognizing people) is the matriarch/owner, made eye contact with me at least three times, probably 4 or 5. The patriarch made eye contact at least once, probably twice. Despite this, not a single person said a word to us or motioned/signaled for someone to make any kind of contact with us as we stood there for 5-6 minutes like a couple of idiots. We got the non-messaged message and left for another restaurant down the street. I don't know what the reason for treating me and my little girl like Donald Trump at a Berkeley Social Justice Warrior rally was, but it was outrageously rude. With the great reviews, (the food is good, even if some of the portions are a little small - except when they don't want to bother serving or even acknowledging you) mine will make no difference, but apparently now that business seems to be rolling along, I guess losing an old customer and his friends is not even worth the bother of seating me and my daughter so that we can give them our money. read more

We love this restaurant! The food is fabulous and our waitress Carla is a doll. She is friendly and knowledgeable. The Papa Relenna appetizer was yummy and my lamb shank was sumptuous. If I knew how to make quinoa taste like this I would eat it more often. read more

Villa Peru is an excellent dining experience. It's a great change of pace from constantly eating Mexican food. They offer a wide variety of food and drink selections. I highly recommend anyone interested to check this place out. read more

Valentines dinner was excellent! Very glad we found this place. This was something new for us and it surpassed all expectations! Ceviche was one of the best I've ever experienced. I can't wait to go back. Thank you read more

What a lovely experience. We found Villa Peru by accident. It is a small venue tucked in beside some big name restaurants. The service was personable and attentive. The food was superb. There was even live music by a violinist. I almost hesitate to share how great this place is because it will be harder to get a table... but the word is going to get out. I ordered the Arroz de Mariscos - a Peruvian version of paella- and it was wonderful, spicy and tasty. My husband got one of their many ceviches and it was so good. We are from the Pacific Northwest - very particular about our seafood...and Villa Peru did not disappoint. They've only been open for three months, but every table was full. I don't doubt that people will be talking about this place. We'll be back soon with our friends. read more

Really good food, but small portions. We ordered Papas Huancaina and they just give us ONE potato. I been in several perivuan restaurant and they are pretty generous with the food. I don't question the price since the quality is very good, but please don't charge $8 for ONE potato. read more

Super solid place. Ambience is great, service fantastic, food was delicious and true to traditional Peruvian cuisine. Can't wait to go back. We had the lamb and the most popular steak dish. Drinks were , Pisco sour hit the mark perfectly. read more

Great addition to Tucson. A nice change of pace from the many chains and franchises in the area which feel contrived. We found the food to be authentic in simplicity and ingredients but thankfully more flavorful than what you typically get in Peru. The decor and intimacy certainly made this place even more charming. Server was on point with recommendations. The ceviches and pisco sours were spot on for a warm Tucson night. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food and had zero complaints. We'll be back for sure. read more

I ate there last night and had subpar food and lousy service. Granted I was with a large party but why does it take an hour for a salad? The dressing was bland and the salad basic. Finally I asked one of the busboys (he surely was not a waiter) for my bill three times. He just looked at me blankly. Finally I asked another man and he was quite helpful and did apologize. If you want long waits and lousy food eat here. read more

Nice setting, friendly staff, and really was looking forward to the food but unfortunately it was just ok. I had the mixed seafood ceviche, and my first impression was immediately a little disappointed with the small serving size. Also, although the flavour was decent, all the acidity and tartness needed a sweet and/or starchy balance and there was only one small slice of sweet potato. My husband had the half chicken with fries, and it too, was nothing special-no special seasonings and flavour. Also, an iceberg lettuce salad accompanying his entree...hmm, definitely need a leaf upgrade (romaine? arugula? etc) for a restaurant of this mod/high price. $9 drink but where was the alcohol? This is definitely not good considering I am a lightweight (the whole asian flush thing) and if I can't even get a little buzz on a drink then there is definitely something wrong. read more

Great new place where they take good care of you and the food is amazing. Went for lunch and I will definitely go back for dinner to try their craft cocktails. Lovely atmosphere as well. read more

Was there for lunch and the service was good the food was excellent and the Ambiance was perfect. Will be coming back!

Restaurant atmosphere is as great. I loved the music, and the place in general. The waitress asked if everything was ok. I said yes but not great, then she call the chef saying "she wants to talk to you" I never said I want to talk to the chef, I just answered her question. She called him saying in Spanish "she wants to talk to you". She made me feel stupid. The food is ok, the service is questionable and the food is expensive. They still need to work in being kind and honest to the customer. Some dishes are great most of them are fine. read more

Love Villa Peru! Beautiful decor, friendly staff and amazing food! Several times my husband and I have been to Villa Peru and each time it's been great! Great place for family dinners or just to meet up with friends for drinks after work. There hasn't been an entree we've ordered and didn't enjoy! Husband had the Ceviche Carretillero which was amazing, he really enjoyed it. You could tell that the seafood was fresh. I had the Lomo Saltado which was great as well. Will recommend to family and friends! read more
