What a delight! Had their version of an Old Fashioned and it was simply delicious. They make their own infused "simple syrup". What a treat. They serve banana chips and a "puffed" corn to start. The sauce or salsa that was served with it was a dream! I wanted a jar of that. Had ceviche. Wow. We ordered it medium spicy and just special. I had the sea bass with scallops on quinoa. The flavors were fabulous. Thought the sea bass was a little tough. I had not seen a thin cut like that before. However in all...I enjoyed the dish. Looking forward to another visit!

Fantastic! We've been going for years. We moved away but last time we were in town we were so happy to see that they expanded and improved their ambiance by 100%. The food is phenomenal. My previous go to dish was no longer on the menu but was happy to find a good alternative.

We took my MIL here for her birthday, and it was fantastic! It's super easy to book a reservation through OpenTable, and the service was fantastic! The food came out relatively quickly and tasted delicious. It's definitely a "special occasion" type of restaurant, but it's so worth it!

This was my second visit in the past month, and while I was pleased with the service, food, and ambiance overall, there were several issues each time. One of my guests ordered the Peruvian paella and was disappointed to find that, despite the menu listing octopus, none was included. When we brought this to the attention of the staff and owner, they did bring out a separate bowl of octopus, which we appreciated. My wife was unhappy with her Lomo Saltado during this visit noting that it was too salty and served at a lukewarm temperature. The ceviche was just okay, and the Pisco Sour was also average. My guests were happy with the Aji de Gallina and I was pleased with my dish, arroz con pato. Considering the higher price point, I would expect better consistency and higher quality across the dishes. Additionally, they had run out of both Pollo a la Brasa and Picarones. It took about 20 minutes for them to inform us that the Picarones were unavailable. They had also run out of Negra Modelo, although they did obtain more later. This gesture was appreciated. Overall, while there were still positive aspects, the experience did not fully meet expectations for the price.

Excited for Anticucho!

Peruvian food here is absolutely amazing! I especially love their Anticucho--it's hard to find in Tucson, and they cook it to perfection. The restaurant also has live music, wonderful friendly staff, and excellent service. The atmosphere is beautiful and vibrant, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Peruvian cuisine and a great dining experience.

We came mid afternoon, it took a few minutes to get seated. Juan, our server was awesome, attentive and professional. We had a great steak starter to share and my wife had aji de gallina and I had Lomo Saltado. Both were excellent but the steak starter was a little salty. The seating was comfortable and the place is big but cozy. Nice place and we will certainly be back. We both had lunch sized portions but as you can see they're both a full meal. Lovely place

We went to the bar and we had an appetizer and pisco sours. Drinks are delicious. Great service and atmosphere.

Went to Villa Peru during the Lobster Festival. When you first pull up they have plenty of parking in a shopping strip next to several other restaurants. They have bar seating, indoor tables, a large private party room, and outdoor patio seating. I have to give this restaurant 2 stars primarily for the food and service. Overall, the prices were high and the food/service was just average. The server never once asked about drink refills. The lobster roll did not actually include much lobster and the molten lava cake dessert was disappointing. There was no molten chocolate whatsoever and it more like a microwave chocolate sponge cake. Pisco sour is normally one of the my favorite cocktails and even that was mediocre. Lastly, the entree dinnerware was chipped as pictured, which is a safety concern.

I came here for dinner in April and then again last night. In April, I tried the Tequeños de Queso--tasty, but a bit too fried for me, so I could only eat one. I believe we ordered the Causa Acevichada and loved it. The sea bass was good, and the Churrasco a lo Pobre cooked medium rare was really flavorful. The sangria, unfortunately, was not good. I also tried the pisco sour flight and requested no ginger, so they substituted the Ambassador. The Ambassador was just okay--still pretty bitter. I really enjoyed the strawberry flavor, and the rosemary was pretty good. The spicy one was tasty but very spicy. Last night, I ordered the sea bass again, but it was very fishy this time. Thankfully, they kindly substituted it for the Tacu Tacu. The rice in that dish was a bit salty, but overall still enjoyable. The beef in both the Tacu Tacu and the Lomo Saltado was well done--next time I'll ask if they can cook it medium rare. The Tiradito ceviche was really good, and I loved the strawberry pisco again. The rosemary was decent, and I also really liked the cabernet we ordered--I believe it may have been from Argentina.

My new favorite date night destination.Went for their ceviche fest and glad I finally made it in. Ceviche was delicious and very refreshing. Service was exceptional and you could see they worked as a team. Everyone we encountered were well trained and knowledgeable. It was a very enjoyable experience and we will be back to try other menu items. We let our server guide us with suggestions and was pleased with what we ordered.

The food here is excellent and I didn't try the ceviche this time. It's supposed to be one of the best ceviche restaurants in the US. They had so many different ones and it's Oyster Fest, so they had ceviche with oysters. The place is really cool with the bar in the back. A heads up, the front door is very large. The service was good. We did get hit with a 20% tip for a large party. Definitely eat here.

Great ambiance, very classy. Our server, Sebastian, was super attentive and amazing! The ceviche definitely lived up the reputation; if you like very lime-y ceviche, it's for you!

We started with the ceviche Trio which was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend the villa Peru ceviche... During Ceviche Festival, which occurs one week a month, they have a large variety of ceviche. With the trio you get to pick three kinds.. I really enjoyed all of ours which were recommended by our amazing bartender and server Asia. I also thought my braised lamb shank was next level. The sauce was almost like a mole , but different . It had a very unique and delightful flavor profile. The only reason I did not give five stars was because the fish dish that we had was very dry and lacked flavor or spice. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It is very cozy , warm and inviting and I will definitely be back.

Ok, I drove by here a million times and finally was at the light long enough to google translate…read moresome of the words on the side of their restaurant. One meant Scallops. Ok so I knew it was a seafood place. ( Also he word meaning shrimp) anyhow, I decided I wanted a shrimp cocktail. The service was quick. I must have ordered stupidly bc I didn't want the octopus and the scallops lol just the shrimp. They looked at me like I was nuts, but they were very sweet and just got me a shimp cocktail. I was also served tostitos and mayo (?) overall it was freaking delicious, with the mayo on a chip withhot sauce and shrimp....YUM!! You sit outside, on picnic tables. Or take it back to your car. I will return.

I didn't anticipate that bc I live maybe 6 minutes from this place. I got the fried fish, fried shrimp and Marine tacotote. All tacos came with avocado and premixed coleslaw/mayo, which I didn't know. Fried fish was soggy and the premixed coleslaw and avocado was just too rich and wrong for this taco. I really wish I had known it came like that. I'm used to having a some sort of crema and fresh component like pico or chopped onion and cilantro. Shrimp taco was exactly as described above with the toppings. The shrimp was way way waaayyy over cooked. Marine tacotote was interesting. It had a huge piece of fried fish, 2-3 fried shrimp, and a tomatoe vegetable, cheese medley with a grilled fish on the botttom. It was...nothing like I've ever had. I can't say I enjoyed it bc the coleslaw was too much and it didn't add anything to the taco. The tacos were HUGE. I didn't need to buy 4. The price for what you get is extremely reasonable ($17) I would give it another chance but no coleslaw or avocado and I would eat it there. The people who own this shop are wonderful and kind. They have two menus English and Spanish. There is plenty of seating with hot sauce, napkins and salt and pepper at every table.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! The feeling in here is just so cozy and the person who served me, Victor, was such a nice guy, very accommodating, not only to me, but to everyone that came into the restaurant ! When you go someplace to eat, you want to be somewhere where people are happy, jolly and have a good good time! this is definitely the place that!! I especially love that they have a very nice full ( and clean ) variety salsa bar where you can help yourself to sauces of all different types. You know me I'm a saucy girl so I really, really appreciated that. Their homemade corn tortillas are divine! Super soft, great texture - I'm definitely a fan! From the salsa bar, red sauce is spicy! Green salsa is tasty with a little bit of a spice, really delicious flavor! Light green "cream "sauce is perfect to put on anything, not spicy! The battered fish taco was so fresh! I could Totally eat my fill of these!!! what's nice is they even have beer and margaritas - it's a perfect combination! All of the veggies were a cut to size, perfectly and tasted so fresh I really am enjoying it !! Shrimp enchilada, nice. Carne asada taco - perfection! Another customer ordered a shrimp ceviche, I'll definitely get that next time! After my dining experience, I was reminded of a place that my dad used to take us to in Mexico when I was young to eat tacos of ALL SORTS as well as other types of cuisine! Only exception is there weren't cutting their carne asada meat on a hallowed out tree stump! The preparation of the taco and careful attention to detail, very pleasing. This is definitely going to be one of my favorite places. Everything is tasty, clean and the people are really nice. And friendly! This is something about a good chip and authentic salsa that really lights me Up. If I go to a place where the salsa is not good, I never go back. I'll MOST DEFINITELY be back here, I truly enjoyed everything!

Prices are on par for seafood. Check out the photos of the menus I took. There was no salsa bar, but that may be because of the current COVID-19 policies. There were small containers of salsa and chipotle mayo included with my order. I ordered the fish taco and the Tori-Taco. The fish taco and the shrimp taco are named the same on the menu as "empanizado." As the lady seemed to have a very small skill set of English, my tip would be to emphasize several times which taco you want because I received a shrimp taco instead of the fish taco. The shrimp taco was good. The breading was light and not greasy. Served on two corn tortillas, it came with Mexican slaw. The Tori-Taco is described as chile guero with creme cheese, bacon and shrimp. Both were good. The shrimp taco ($3.00) was about on par with Taco Fish's. The Tori-Taco ($4.50) was also good. Give it a try, you'll probably like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
