    Spicy Tilapia was sumptuous!

I love everything about this place! The decor and music transported me to a place I am homesick for. The steak and seafood are top notch. Perfectly seasoned and perfectly grilled. I was also surprised by freshly grilled nopales that were cooked perfectly! The staff are incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome. It was a real treat to have such a fine meal. I also feel like I made new friends.

Beef soup, it taste better with lime and their spicy sauce. It comes with rice and tortillas.

Good chips and salsa and good beef soup. There were not many people there when we went there Friday night but I think their food is good.

This place is probably one of the best, affordable, authentic Mexican places around. The vibe was super nice. Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends and family. The menu was fire and the food came out fast. We've gone two more times in the past weeks. Soooo good!

I literally was crying eating my dinner because it was like god himself was feeding it to me. I had the grilled tilapia and it was so spectacular I think my soul left my body after every bite.

Best fajitas in Orem! We'll be back! Great salsa bar! Friendly staff! I've never had so much food on a plate. This was a great experience.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Alejandra in particular was amazing -- she made us feel right at home and took great care of us. The restaurant itself is spotless. You'd swear it was brand new. The booths are comfortable, the custom chairs are a nice touch, and it's clear the owners take real pride in the place. Everything feels fresh, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The salsa and chips were on point -- perfectly seasoned and addictive. I tried pozole for the first time, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The broth was rich and flavorful, the pork was tender, and the hominy was cooked perfectly. My wife ordered her go-to Enchiladas Suizas and said they were very good -- she was impressed. I went with the Chile Verde Burrito and a beef taco. Both were tasty, well-seasoned, and satisfying. I left feeling full and happy. This is a proper, quality Mexican restaurant with great staff and amazing food. Places like this set the bar high -- other restaurants should definitely take notes! We'll be back soon.

The atmosphere and menu feel true to the culture, and it's refreshing to find a place that doesn't overly Americanize the cuisine. Many of the dishes capture that homemade, authentic quality that fans of traditional Mexican food will appreciate. That said, the experience wasn't perfect. The wait time was quite long, even when the restaurant didn't appear extremely busy, which made the visit feel a bit drawn out. Additionally, while the food was flavorful and authentic, some of the dishes came out a bit on the dry side. Another consideration is the price. While the quality and authenticity are good, the prices are noticeably high compared to other Mexican restaurants offering similar dishes. Overall, Maria Bonita is a solid choice if you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and don't mind paying a premium. With a few improvements to service speed and food moisture/texture, it could easily be a five-star experience.

We waited about 30 minutes before we even got our drinks. The food was overcooked and for being a Mexican restaurant they did not know how to properly cook a quesadilla. Who adds bell peppers to a quesadilla??? And the meat was basically blackened and not seasoned. My partner and I will never be coming back. Our service was great, we were seated immediately and our server was kind. She had her hands full being the only one on shift at the end of the night but did it gracefully. We loved the chips and salsa and liked our meals. Mine was huge! I was barely able to make a dent and had to take it home. The fry was good on the pepper and it was stuffed with cheese and meat. I got the onion ball which wasn't much to call home about, neither was the spicy rice. I wish I tried the beans instead. My husband was pleased with his dish and was able to finish it. We also shared the strawberry and regular horchata and they were delicious! We will definitely be back to try more dishes!

My last review could all be wrapped up when I asked for a Mexican hot sauce and they brought Tabasco. Everything was wrong. While the food is still geared to the local palate. It's lots of overly sweet food. Still, I found things that were pretty good. In the end, I can see why it's popular. It' doesn't really bring me to Mexico City or similar. I would not exclude coming back. They no longer have beer. That's important when dining out for me, but doesn't seem to hurt things here.
