My wife and I went here Saturday night to eat a quick dinner. I got an order of chicken wings 1/2 garlic parmesan and half smokey habanero. You have a choice of wood fired or regular so I tried the wood fired. They were meaty and the sauce was great. The habenera was hot enough as you would expect. The garlic parm had real garlic in the sauce which is great. The atmosphere was a typical American pub. When we first got there it was very busy and there was a group of people celebrating a birthday that took over the whole place. Be aware that it can be very loud and very cramped if there is a big party. Additionally the seating is a little limited. We were at a high table and the chairs had no backs. It was not a comfortable seat for sure. The server was friendly and attentive. She had no issue bringing us anything that we requested. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was pricey for what it is. The wine was $11 a glass for a house Pinot Noir with a rather stingy pour. I would like to see some more affordable wine offerings. The bottom line is Villa Capri is an acceptable place to eat a dinner on a weekend night. However, be prepared for some noise and to pay a little bit higher than you would somewhere else. read more

So it is with a heavy heart, that I give them 3 Stars...because of the food. What DID surprise me was the menu spoke of a "Smash Burger", a very popular and very particularly prepared type of hamburger, and what I got was in NO way a "Smash Burger". Not even close. Great vibe and layout. Full of soccer memorabilia local and even European clubs. Had a wonderful live jazz band playing even on a Monday night. Service was good and fast. However the food was not worth it whatsoever. $15 for half cooked calamari, didn't look appetizing nor tasted like it. And for a place that is known for pizza, they're dead last on my list of doylestown pizza spots. 9 individual pieces of basil on the Nonna's pizza, one for each slice of course. The plain and pepperoni lacked flavor specifically in the sauce. If it wasn't for the vibe and service, this would have been very bad. Hopefully they can fix their food soon! Let me start by saying this is not your ordinary pizza shop. They are also a great local pub if you ever want to catch primi league games or European futbol (aka soccer). So why do I like coming here? I like the big meatball and they do have some really tasty pasta dishes as well. Definitely the big homemade meatball is the winner for me. My fiancé loves their pizza. I don't eat pizza - yep you read that right but it's not what you think. My stomach can't handle it so it's not for the lack of trying. Servers were friendly, but not terribly attentive. We heard a few guests mention they were understaffed, so we braced for some challenges. Our two appetizers and my meal all arrived at different times. The Banging Boneless wings, Summer strawberry salad special and Sausage parm were not very good. The wings were basically dry, rubbery chicken fingers and the sandwich did appear to have sausage (rubbery) and cheese, but the sauce was at a premium. The salad was only ok. The Nono pizza, however, was great. It took awhile, but very good. We wanted to like this place, and in a pinch I might give their pizza another shot someday, but I would avoid the rest of the menu. Other reviews are much more enthusiastic. My guess is maybe we caught them on a night when the staffing issue was mainly in the kitchen? Managment should be more on top of food quality. The table behind us also noted the food was not good, and forgiving of the service issues as well when the wife told the manager she understood after working in restaurants herself. I stopped by for dinner at Villa Capri and enjoyed my time there. I got the fried pickles to start which was my first time ever trying them and I really enjoyed them! The dipping sauce it comes with is also good. I got the eggplant parm for my entree which was good and much bigger than I expected it to be. The only issue was the eggplant was really hard to cut through and a bit tough to chew. The overall taste was good but the eggplant shouldn't be so difficult to cut. Usually I'm a thin crust pizza guy, Villa Capris New York style pizza is definitely a top contender for thin crust pizza in Bucks County. A wonderful blend of dough, sauce and cheese. Recently tried their Sicilian pie and it too is a winner as well. Nice and thick but not overly heavy with a crispy bottom and cheesy top. I would definitely recommend trying this pie. I also got to try a sandwich on one of their new homemade rolls. I had the cheesesteak and it really worked well together. I'm looking forward to trying one of the other sandwiches on these house made rolls. read more

Undercooked pasta (and yes, I do like al dente but this was way under) and rubbery chicken, the few pieces that they gave her anyway. I had not been to Villa Capri for other than pizza in at least 8 years. Tonight we had dine-in and tried angel hair with Alfredo sauce. Had one bite and the sauce was full of chopped onions. Overpowering. Told the waiter about it and no response, no offer to redo it without onions or offer a substitute dish. The vodka sauce and homemade meatball were good, but the Alfredo was a disappointment and the staff should have volunteered to remedy. Very disappointing. If you want pizza, Villa Capri is great. You can also catch some live music most days and watch a international soccer match complete with a tasty brew of your choosing. We had catering from them too the other day for 50 people and they did not disappoint with their offering (meatballs) and their service. And from the point on there were two people a girl awkwardly standing not saying anything and the guy hands full with food. I took the food and gave him $70 and asked for a $5 back he said he had no change so he went to his car. He came back and said again he had no change all while the girl still without saying a word stood there and I had to scrounge for some change. Due to the fact he said he had no change I decided to give him some and he didn't grasp the concept. Kept saying he was sorry to the point it got too repetitive and meaningless. Now onto the food. Me and my wife used to eat at this Pizzeria/bar before coronavirus. We would always Felt like family when we were see Mary or Nick behind the bar & occasionally on Sunday we will see the All-Star team Ryan or Alley when we stopped in. Also we enjoyed the 3 AM pizza rush with friends at times and we love to see Mitchell behind the counter. He knew each customer coming in by name which is very rare to see. He made us laugh and feel comfortable. Even those who were a little intoxicated he did not get impatient he made sure they had water. When it comes to trying to get a taxi service at the wee hours of the morning is never easy but he made sure if you cannot get a Uber. He Inform customers of the 333 taxi service. It was really sad to hear after coronavirus when we stopped in The new manager let a lot of the original staff go. Mary, Nick, Ryan, Alley, Mitchell They are no longer work there. We also Seen that the new manager brought in a whole new team to work here and everyone is in uniform now. Tonight we went back and JOEL the Sr. Bartender told us we beat the bill last Feb 8 for $21.00. We ordered 1 wine and a Guiness that night. I asked them to show us the receipt. JOEL then printed a receipt for 2 wines and a Miller lite dated 3/8/2019. I told the owner to produce the bill from Feb 8 and we would pay. He took my info and said he would contact me when and if he could find that receipt. We are seniors and do not walk out on our bar tabs. Sounds like a scam to us. I am giving this place two stars only because it is a cool spot to watch soccer games on Sundays. I would come here ONLY to drink, but never eat. The food is disgusting - the pizza is soggy and tasteless (among the worst I have had), the pasta is boxed pasta with a cheap jar gravy taste, and the cheesesteak tastes awful like a frozen, microwaved Steakum. I agree with the other comments about the poor service. I have been here many times and have dealt with moody waitresses who are more concerned with flirting with the bartenders than doing their jobs. I have never had my order taken properly. The outside deck reeks of trash and is not a pleasant place to sit because of the rickety Rubbermaid chairs. I feel bad saying this about a family-owned restaurant, but this place is not cutting it. If you want good pizza, I would recommend you try Sputino, Jule's Thin Crust, Artistic Pizza, or Bacco in town - all are cleaner, with tastier food and better service. THE SERVER NICOLE WAS INCREDIBLY RUDE TO US - TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. (read on for the full story) Villa Capri has been a place that my husband and I have been coming to for awhile. I grew up going to Dominick's (the brother of Villa Capri's owner) and always had great experiences. I was at Villa Capri the past two weeks on Tuesday because they make incredible cheesesteaks and offer a special on Tuesday nights. First Tuesday we had Christina, who is wonderful and super nice, and last week we had a guy who was great. Tonight - totally different story. We walk in and are served by a different girl named Nicole. She's apparently been there for awhile but was completely rude. We (husband and I) ordered a cheesesteak and had planned to split it, which we've done several times before. Nicole tells us that we can't split. Essentially insinuates that splitting a $5 cheesesteak is cheap, but didn't outright say that. Mind you, we may split meals (hello small stomach) but we tip well. Anyway, she says we can't do that. Then, we ask for fries instead of chips (we've also done this several times). Nicole says there will be an upcharge. We say fine, thinking an upcharge is a dollar or two for a side of fries. We get our meals and out come two cheesesteaks with two orders of fries. We ask her if this is the side of fries or an order. She tells us it's an order. We explain we wanted to substitute the chips for fries not pay for two whole orders of fries. She rudely says that it is what it is now and this is what 'upcharge' means. We explain that the past two weeks were not like that. She retorts back that this is how things are and then states that the other girl (the super nice server) shouldn't have done what she did. We didn't even have this other server the past two weeks. For me, putting down a co-worker is a BIG no-no. Have some respect! Own up to what you're doing or explain new policies if those are in place from last week until now. Don't make us feel stupid, come across rudely, or bash other workers. After that, she didn't come back once. I asked the other server Christina (the really nice one) for a drink and she ended up getting us our boxes and check. Nicole NEVER came back to us again. That's crazy to me! You're in the serving/customer business and you just ignore your customer because of a confrontation or miscommunication. I can't believe the way Nicole acted towards us and her tone when saying things. Unreal. Truthfully, if tips weren't split we wouldn't have left Nicole much at all. We approached the owner after we ate as we were walking out. He heard us out but ended up justifying Nicole's behavior by saying new policies were being discussed and that Nicole has worked there a long time. Look, everyone has bad days but in this business, keep it to yourself. New policies? Fine. We don't HAVE to split a cheesesteak but don't rudely tell us it can't be done. Explain the why since we literally have been here the last two Tuesdays and "policies" were different. We won't be back for a long time. What a shame - I was looking forward to weekly cheesesteak traditions. read more

Never again! Ordered jack Daniel wings, waiter delivered buffalo hot wings. When we questioned he denied they were hot wings and said oh yeah the dump jack Daniels in the wings while cooking. Waiter never came back to ask if we needed a refill, wings cost more on the invoice then on the menu, tap beer not at correct temperature. Like I said never again!
