Far exceeded my expectations . I got the Vietnamese chicken teriyaki with fried rice and veggies. Spring rolls on the side. Amazing. Very fresh and the taste was very flavorful . The chicken was good meat and the sauce was something special. I have had my fair share of pho and you can tell by the taste this sauce is hand made. The spring rolls had a brown sweet sauce garnished with peanuts that is traditionally served with the beef pho. I wish I had tried this spot earlier it really is a gem !! The gentleman behind the counter was also very pleasant and provided great customer service. Restaurant quality food and the price was fair for the great quality. Can't wait to eat it again ! We always try to get here when staying in downtown Columbus. Has been consistently good for 10+ years of visits. I happen to be fond of PHO soup and they have a great version. There is very little seating so you have to look around the food court and find some. They give the condiments with the soup. Order fulfillment is fast even though they are usually busy. read more

I should have known not to try this place when I found out it was in the mall food court. The Pho here was awful. The broth tasted "off" or like they added bad fish sauce or something. Almost flavorless except for the "off" flavor I kept getting. I was unable to finish it as I was afraid of getting sick. The spring rolls where ok but just not much flavor. On top of the food being bad, 1 bowl of Pho, 1 spring roll and a large Coke cost me $28 which is ridiculous. Save your money and stomach. Anyone who thinks this place is serving authentic Vietnamese, has never had authentic Vietnamese food. read more

Great if you like dysentery. I ordered the beef Pho, and they sliced off some raw beef and placed it in the warm stock (not boiling). I think that was the problem right there. I've had Been Pho at other places, but never had the experience of being that sick after it. Not sure I will ever try this place again. Located inside Great Lakes Mall's food court, this place is the real deal!! If you're looking for great authentic Pho' this is your best bet in the area. Also this is one of the only locations on this town you will find it. As of writing this review they are only 2 months old and I had to add their locations so they can show up, I wouldn't be surprised if they will be super busy and open up their own standalone restaurant soon. There is basically no other competition in the area and it's a great convenient spot. I got my chicken Pho' to go and it was amazing! Also got the egg rolls which I didn't think would be anything special but I was very surprised with the flavor! Give this place a try and you'll be happy you did! read more

"Wait! What? A Vietnamese place in Mentor? Oh, its in a food court " That was my first thought upon finding this place on yelp. Still, my husband and I went to give it a try and we were not expecting much. It was a nice surprise to find out that the food was actually very good. I ordered the beef pho.... The beef was rare and cooked instantly in the hot fragrant broth. Noodles were not overcooked and held together well. Bean sprouts were fresh as was the jalapeño and cilantro. A good bowl of pho! My husband got the combination vermicelli. It had more meat than some restaurants will give in the same dish. He was very happy with it, he said the ratio of noodle to none-noodle was good and that the flavors were authentic. My first time here, I ordered the spicy chicken. I have a "high heat" tolerance in food for a female. The "spicy" chicken is well flavored and reasonably warm. The gentleman behind the counter is nice. No complaints on quality. I returned a second time and ordered the same item due to the flavor. I will be back to try other menu items, too. They have soups. This place is the best place to eat in this food court! While it's a bit more pricy in comparison to the other shops nearby (about 10$ for pho and drink) it's well worth it. My go to is the Beef pho spicy and it's comparable to other pho places in the area. The chefs are knowledgeable and good with recommendations and are really nice. For example they kindly suggested I only add 3 jalapeños to the pho so it doesn't overpower the broth and boy were they right! Also I always leave completely full! Well, first, I'm really happy that there is finally a Pho place in Mentor. Having to trek all the way to Woodmere or Cleveland for Pho has been quite the struggle. The food here is pretty pricey. $13 for pho and $14 for bun bo hue. Pho has been a staple in my diet. Being Vietnamese and having grown up eating Pho throughout California, I have watch the prices creep from $5 to 6 to 7 to 8 and so on. But this is the first time I have seen a bowl of pho priced at $13. I thought, "This better be some damn good Pho" the first time I ordered. Sad to say that I did not enjoy the pho here and I don't think I will be paying that much for pho again here. The positive is that they give you a lot of meat. But the broth did not taste like pho broth, there were no typical pho herbs like thai basil, there was no peanut dipping sauce served with the traditional goi cuon (summer spring roll) -- it just had squeezed hoison sauce into a little container with peanuts sprinkled on top. I wouldn't mind paying that much considering they pretty much dominate the market out here being the only pho place in Mentor, but the food has to justify the price. 3/5 stars. I ordered the curry chicken. They had no prices on their signage. My wife got Sarku chicken for $10, so I figured it would be similar in price. When I got to the cash register they said it would be $18 for one curry chicken w/ rice and an egg roll. I told them I was not expecting for it to be that much. They said they would take 3 dollars off making it $15. Their food seems higher quality than the other places at the food court so I agreed. The food was not worth it. It was way over priced and the egg roll was a pork roll that tastes like a hotdog in a spring roll. No wonder ever other food place had a line of customers and their employees were just standing around. Later that night I looked at our bank statement to see they charged me 18 dollars. My first and last time ordering from here. I ordered a chicken rice noodle bowl. The rice noodles tasted like fish, the chicken was a brown gooey pile of mush that looked like dog food in brown gravy. I got two pieces of broccoli which also tasted fishy. Great food...poor management. I do enjoy this restaurant, brocade they food is good and healthy. My issue is that they haven't updated their online menu to include those ones prices. So when I face my fiancé the money to go get my Pho, and spring rolls, they had upped the prices fairly significantly! Like 30% higher! Now, if that's what they need to do, fine, but don't tell me that my Pho is $9.95 online, and then tell me it's $12.95 when I get there! My daughter and I were at the mall and decided to eat there.. What a $26.00 mistake that was never again.. The man that was taking care of us I believe was running the Asian Market across because he was mainly concerned with what was happening over there during our entire ordering process because our food was actually horrible.. Here's my breakdown: Sample: I received a sampler of the chicken teriyaki which tasted good but slightly on the sweet side. Special Pho (Dac Biet): This is in the food court so all of the ingredients are out in the open. You simply pick and choose exactly what you want in your noodle soup and it's ready immediately. The soup will come out in a cardboard bowl so be weary of leaking under it. As for the soup itself it was slightly diluted because it came out of a huge pot. Want authentic good Vietnamese food, definitely try this place. They use fresh ingredients and made fresh daily. I have had their Pho and Bun Soups with Beef, Special and Shrimp and have never been disappointed. Their Vietnamese Wraps are chocked full of noodle, cilantro, shrimp, beef and other items. They are made fresh on the spot. Their wings (honey and garlic) are fantastic with large meaty wings. We do take home for all the foods. The Pho and Bun is divided into two items a container of broth and a to go carton containing the noodles, beef, shrimp, bean sprouts, jalapeno, cilantro etc in the other. It is enough for my wife and I with some left over especially if we have the wraps and wings. The wraps always accompanied by dipping sauce (I believe hosen sauce with crushed peanuts). Their Pho and Bun soups have a mixture container that allows one to make it as spicy as their taste buds will allow. My wife dips her spoon and stirs, I take a spoonful and stir into the soup. As winter ends and warm weather arrives, we look forward to trying their other entrees. They all look delicious. My only recommendation, it would be nice would for them to host a daily entrée special. This way one can be exposed to even more traditional Vietnamese foods. read more

Omgoodness. This is a hidden gem in a mall food court. I've been here a couple times now and each time I'm happy. My husband really likes the pork vermicelli. I get the tofu version.
