Right next to the park and shop Asian supermarket. Got a spacious seating area. Had decent bun rieu so decided to try another dish I like, banh cuon. Couldn't help and get the goi cuon. Both came out promptly, came with the fish sauce for dipping. I accidently spilled wine and realized their fish sauce has a pretty low tattoo of fishy sauce. But works, banh cuon was not too bad but didn't have as much filling as I'd like. Is still come again to satisfy my cravings for this. read more

I'll be honest -- from the outside, Pho Sunshine looks pretty average. For the longest time, I kept putting off trying it. I'm not even sure why, especially since I've been on a mission to find the best pho in Northeast Ohio. I've tried plenty of dedicated pho spots and restaurants that happen to offer pho on the side, but somehow this one stayed off my list. I finally decided to give it a shot -- and I was genuinely surprised. It exceeded my expectations. This is now my number two spot for pho in the area. The broth, noodles, condiments, and pricing were all solid across the board -- I'd rate everything around a 3/5. Normally that might sound just "average," but in this area, consistency and balance like this are actually hard to find. The broth had good depth, the noodles were cooked right, and the portions and pricing felt fair. Nothing over-the-top or flashy -- just dependable, satisfying pho. And sometimes that's exactly what you want. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you're in Northeast Ohio and craving a solid bowl of pho. read more

Yum!!! I love Pho and I'm VERY picky about the broth... my fav pho place is closed on Tuesdays but I really wanted some so I decided to try pho and sunshine. Glad I did! I went at around 1 and it was empty. I ordered the P8 (shrimp pho) with extra green onions. It was so good! Can't decide if it's tied with my fav pho place. I forgot to take a pic but will next time because I will be back! The staff was also really nice. read more

Not badly priced. The mixed banh mi bbq sandwich was well filled but lacked any sort of moisture/sauce so it was hard to eat without taking drinks of water in between bites. The bread was average. Crusty like it should be without being too hard but not exactly fluffy in any way inside either. The beef ramen was a stir fried dish in good portion. It had plenty of beef but the sad thing was it completely lacked in almost any flavor at all. The beef was entirely flavorless. The ramen had hints of soy sauce flavor but nothing else. It was like eating in 2-D. duper average, but not "bad". I paid $28 for the two items. I went back the next day and sat down to eat. The service was fantastic- both friendly and attentive. The shrimp cabbage salad ($12?) was huge and delicious. The shrimp pho ($15) was also hot, well appointed with shrimp, and had all the expected fixin's. Very nice experience this time around. read more

One of my favorite new places in the city. The pho is delicious and the staff is wonderful. We came in here during the Asian Festival because the lines were long. It felt like a cheat code. Our server must have liked me or could sense I was hungover because she gave me a free little cup of chicken soup. Hell yeah! The old aunties love me. I still got it, sometimes. read more

Located in the Asia Plaza, a delicious Vietnamese spot! A huge parking lot out front, and a large restaurant with plenty of tables. We were able to be seated immediately on a Saturday night. The staff was very quick and kind, giving us extra bowls so we could sample each other's meals. Our table started with the A2 Garden Rolls ($6), which were fresh and delicious, accompanied with a peanut sauce. I got the P2 Pho with Brisket ($13), and the broth was to die for! So tasty, it did not need much other spices or sauces added. I also got to try the spiced pork in the vermicelli noodles, and it was divine. Some of the best flavored pork I've ever tried. The menu is also HUGE with: pho, vermicelli, banh mi, fried rice, noodles, etc. I will be back to try more! read more

Sadly, I was quite disappointed with the food. The banh mi and summer rolls were not fresh, nor had much flavour. In fact, the rice paper was tough to eat. It was as though it was made the night before and sitting in the fridge. I also ordered the chicken with lemon grass and it lacked flavour. My friend's food was flavourless too. Overall, the food was subpar. It paled in comparison to the food in Viet Nam. I will not eat here again. It's unfortunate because those who have never had authentic Viet Namese cuisine will not know how bad the food tastes. read more

Popped in here on a weekend for lunch with some friends to check out this new pho place in Asia town. I was pleasantly surprised by how big, airy, and clean the space was. It doesn't feel like a restaurant that's basically brand new. When we visited, the restaurant was relatively busy, but we are able to be seated immediately. We started with a side of the summer rolls and spring rolls, which were excellent. I thought the spring rolls were very crispy and delicious, and the summer rolls were filled with lots of vermicelli noodles. I was very impressed with how quickly all the food came out. The Pho is definitely good: they didn't skimp on the meat portions which I appreciated, and the noodles and the broth were great. This isn't the best pho I've ever had, but it's really solid, and I would come back for sure. read more

A new Vietnamese place, bring it on! I stopped by to grab some dinner to go and o don't have many complaints. I got the vermicelli with shrimp. It was completely comparable to the same dishes in the other Vietnamese places in the area and recently priced. Good amount of shrimp, well grilled, good amount of vege and good amount of fish sauce. I also got an order of the summer rolls (the rice paper ones) which were tasty. The sauce is the peanut based on. My only complaint is the cost those at $6 for an order of two is on the higher end compared to the surrounding places. Overall, not bad - worth trying out. read more

Ambiance: Been here twice with my wife and have had good carry out experiences. The place is very clean with plenty of comfortable seating. They have a pop playlist that's not too obtrusive and the service is decent. They do understand Vietnamese but are still learning their ordering system since the place is still pretty new. Food isn't super fast but also not too slow either. Food: Coming from San Diego and having parents who grew up in Vietnam, my standards are usually pretty high. That said, this place is actually fairly authentic for the Midwest. The best thing we've had here are actually the bahn mi dac biet sandwiches which nail all the traditional flavors. The French bread has a nice crust and they use all the appropriate cold cuts and vege fillings, I just wish they had more liver pate and stronger pickles (do chua) although maybe it's toned down a smidge for the American palate? The sandwiches are admittedly small for the price although the ingredients are actually well-proportioned. The rice dishes, despite not being labeled, are made with broken rice which gives you an authentic textural experience and their steamed egg loaf and shredded pork loaf were well executed (often left out at many restaurants). Sadly, the weakest dish is the pho which has a good savory flavor unadulterated by sugar or black pepper, but is too watered down. If they concentrated their broth by 30% then it'd be close to perfect. We have also gotten the rainbow drink (che ba mau) and Vietnamese coffee which are very enjoyable and recommended. Overall I liked Sunshine Pho. They do a lot of things right and have all the traditional flavors but they need to turn the intensity of those flavors up. They do all stumble a bit on the price:value side of things but this place is still a good option to have around. Get a sandwich and coffee here and you won't go wrong. read more

The service was good as far as being friendly, but because I guess we got their 30 minutes to closing they thought they could feed me literally a handful of scraps of meat that equaled to about two tablespoons of meat. I live in china town on the next block & have ate all the pho places here. So I wanted to try this new local business & support it. I put the fork next to the serving of meat so you may understand. read more

Excellent Vietnamese food at this restaurant! Many wonderful appetizers and entrees to choose from! Fresh ingredients in everything we ordered. When I walked through the door I noticed the modern decor. Felt welcomed right away as a staff member greeted us. Waters and menus were brought to our table right away. Ordered a hot appetizer, spring rolls, delicious! Highly recommend cutting in half so they cool off quicker if you want to eat them right away. Substantial filling in a crispy shell! My vermicelli entree was also delicious! The shrimp was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Fresh veggies were on top of the vermicelli. Great fish sauce too. My spouse also ordered a vermicelli dish and loved it. Said the meat was very tender. We also drank their iced coffee and jasmine tea. Both went well with the food we ate. The staff was friendly and attentive. They checked on us, and all the customers frequently. We were thanked for eating here. read more

I did not eat here. We came here with a party of 5 and sat very patiently waiting. We were enjoying a nice conversation even though it was almost 20 min and the waitress did not even bring us water. When we raised our hand for attention, the lady said "be there in a minute". Then 5 min later we tried to get her attention again. Instead of greeting us with a smile and thanking us for our patience she straight up came in attack mode. It seemed like she was annoyed we wanted service and then when my mom asked her if she knew what a certain term in Chinese was (referring to the pho) she basically started yelling at us "of course I know what that is what do you think I'm stupid?" All in Chinese. I was already fed up with the wait time and trying my best to remain composed. Then with her terrible attitude and straight up attacking us, my dad said, we don't need to eat here. Yup we walked out. 30 min hungrier and shocked by the lack of hospitality... Idk if their food is good or not but I don't need to be verbally assaulted when I'm paying for service. read more

We had lunch at Pho Sunshine yesterday. We were a party of three. I had the Eye of Round & Meatball Pho, my Wife had the Deep Fried Chicken Wings, and our guest had the Dark Meat Chicken Pho. We also shared three of the rolls with come two to and order. My Wife, and I had Hot Jasmine Tea, our guest drank ice water. In regard to our meals: The Eye of Round & Meatball Pho was quite good. The noodles we cooked properly, it had a fair amount of meat, and was not overwhelmed with green onions, but had the right amount. Our guest, and I were given one plate of bean sprouts, with four sliced jalapeños. I found this to be improper. We should have received one plate each, and should have received much more sliced jalapeños, or some type of sliced peppers. I would prefer Thai peppers or Serrano peppers to Jalapeño. There were plenty of bean sprouts. My Wife was happy with the Deep Fried Chicken Wings. She cannot eat Tomatoes or Peppers, because they cause her to have a Fibromyalgia flare-up, so this limits her choices. She wanted a side order of vegetables, but we were told that they were out. I was unhappy with this, as was my Wife. This was in the early afternoon, and this was completely unacceptable! There is a grocery store less than 150 feet away from the restaurant, and it is attached to the Asia Plaza. So they would not have to go outside to purchase some vegetables. Needless to say, my Wife was not satisfied, and still a little hungry after leaving the restaurant. Our guest had the Dark Chicken Meat Pho. The meat was light in color, and did not even taste of dark meat. She even asked the Lady who served us if it was dark meat, and was assured it was with "Trust me". It did not look like dark meat to any of us, and our guest described the meat as almost flavorless. She was not entirely happy, nor was I. The Hot Jasmine tea was the proper color, but was not fragrant, or having the nice, rich taste of Jasmine tea. I asked the Lady who served us what type of tea it was, and she said it was Jasmine. I told her it was a very low quality Jasmine tea. Jasmine tea should be aromatic, and have that pleasant, rich flavor. As for service, the Lady who served us was very pleasant, and attentive. It is unfortunate that they are missing on the negative points that I have mentioned. A Vietnamese restaurant should care more about their customers happiness, and should not be lacking in any point. The owner(s) of Pho Sunshine in Asia Plaza need to step up, and make some changes to what they sell, and serve, their customers. We love Vietnamese cuisine, and left a little disappointed. The meal cost around $64 after tax, and I left her a fair tip, as she deserved it.....unless she is an owner. Perhaps I should have asked. Will we return, possibly, but apprehensively, if we do. There menu has a pretty good selection to give them another try. We will be back to Asia Plaza regularly, but I am currently scanning Yelp for Vietnamese, and Chinese restaurants in the area. read more

Came here on a first date and it fulfilled all my requirements! It's conveniently in the Asian shopping mall so there was parking! It's spacious with plenty of seating. They have a big menu and super reasonable prices for everything. The presentation, taste and portions were all great! Server was humorous and attentive. I didn't even need to ask for any condiments because that amazing red chili oil was already on the table! Didn't need to ask for chopsticks or extra napkins or soup spoons because everything was thought of and provided for! Definitely want to come back to try more things! My pork + shrimp egg noodle bowl was absolutely delish. read more

At first we weren't sure if it would be good pho since the restaurant got converted from a Chinese place. However, after eating it the first time, we got hooked. My first time here and I will never come back here again for sure. I ordered lemongrass beef with rice and I was so DISAPPOINTED at the food. Beef was bland like it didn't get marinated. The most disappointing thing of this dish was rice. They used broken rice but I don't think they know how to cook it. It was uncooked and so dried. You got to admit that you don't know how to cook it but don't blame it on the rice. The server told me the rice was hard bc it's Vietnamese rice. I'm Vietnamese and I know better how to cook it. Not recommend this restaurant to anyone read more

Excellent Vietnamese food. Banh Mi worthy of old Saigon. Bun Bo Xao particularly delicious. Good service . Ambiance demanded by yelp.

Trash attitude, me and my wife were there today ordered two bowls of pho. After few bites and found two bugs in the soup. Called waitress ask for exchange, one waiter come out and confirmed the bug and brought our bowl back to the kitchen, suddenly the other waitress come out said that was a black pepper. I told her that I saw the tentacles on that bug, demanding exchange. They first agreed to exchange and then come out with a small dish with black pepper on it and trying to "educated" me what black pepper looks like. What a disrespectful behavior! This is a warning to all of you guys, do not to go this place. Terrible! read more

The restaurant is spacious and clean. We like the appetizer (Bi Cuon) yet entrees really need improvement. Pho's broth is not clear; a little sour from the noodle that might haven't been rinsed throughly. Taste bland. Bun Bo Hue (Spicy beef noodle soup) has good veriety of ingredients but the broth is truly bland. I will be back to try other dishes but so far, not a great spot for Vietnamese food. read more

First and foremost, the pho is very good! The broth is rich and the noodles and veggies/meat are fresh. I also tried a pork and cabbage salad, which was surprisingly delicious. Pho Sunshine as the name implies is clean, bright and airy. With its huge picture windows, you are practically eating outside. The place is impeccably spotless. Located at Asia Plaza, the area is always bustling but has plenty of free parking. As for food, it has your typical Vietnamese fare, but it goes above and beyond with vegan dishes, Vietnamese sausage and bubble tea. The beef pho is spot on with a cinnamon broth and tender beef. Grilled pork chop is nicely seasoned and charred. The service was about average for an Asiatown restaurant. English proficiency is not great, but then you know it's authentic. read more

Getting seated was a breeze which is a nice change from the other pho shops in the area during peak hours. Their food was good and came out fast. Unfortunately, I can't say that they are better than their competitors. Service was mediocre and staff were disorganized. They either needed to reorganize they staff's workload distribution, hire more servers and train their current servers to be more service-oriented - these may be a growing pain that most new restaurants are experiencing. In the future, I hope they continue to improve. I wish my first experience were more pleasant. read more

I have to say I'm very disappointed in this place! The food tasted bland, no flavor (I got the chicken Pho) I asked for spring rolls and they gave me the rice paper rolls and said they were better (what if i had an allergy to this) I didn't like how pushy the waitress was and then trying to say something was better because you got the order wrong and didn't want to change it. we asked for tea and was told they don't have the item when it's clearly on the menu. the list goes on...but, the kicker was the insect we found in our food we didn't say anything because we felt nothing would be done so we just paid the bill and left. read more

If I could give negative star, this should be it. Service was bad. Food was plain. The wife and I paid the bill. Walk out, the waitress ran outside yelling at us that we didn't pay enough.
