    Beef Banh Mi
    Derreck C.

This is some of the best pho and banh mi I've had in a while and I live around a lot of Vietnamese cuisine (San Diego). The banh mi was crispy and is very flavorful. The pho broth was hearty. They have good sized portions and I pretty much demolished the whole bowl. Our waitress was very nice and I had a great experience here. If you're looking for some authentic Vietnamese food or if you're new to this cuisine this restaurant would be a place I would recommend to everyone. I would definitely come back to try other things on their menu.

Incredible Vietnamese in Youngstown - noodles were not wet / slippery but stuck together well...the meat was cooked just right...the vegetables were fresh, and the crispy rolls in it were nice and crunchy. How can you beat that? Ordered (not pictured) a Vietnamese coffee too that was sweet and milky, perfect after the Half Marathon. People running the restaurant and serving were super nice too (it looks like a family business?) I will absolutely return here next time I'm in the area, 5 stars.

Amazing staff as they were attentive and friendly. The food arrived quickly and I could tell that it was freshly prepared. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, very tender not tough. Drank iced green jasmine tea with my meal, and it was refreshing and complimented the food. Will eat here again the next time I stop in Boardman.

This place has the best Pho. The service is great too. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The seating area is a bit small but very clean. The chef. Nancy, is out talking to everyone and helps in every aspect from service to ringing you out. We will be repeat customers for sure. I highly recommend to stop in or pick up some take away.

Very friendly people running this Boardman Vietnamese place. Little small inside but food rocks. I had the cha gio. They were meaty and delicious. Nice tender texture in the filling. Nicely fried in clean oil. The pho was excellent. The broth was perfect. The combo came loaded with beef and tendons. Only one large piece of meatball and a little tripe. I will definitely be back. Good prices for what you get. I gave the bill to my sales rep so he could expense it. I won't mine paying for mine next time.

OBSESSED with this place!!! Best pho I've ever had in my life and I've been a lot of places! Nancy is so sweet and I love her confidence in her cooking! Been coming here since they opened and the quality has always been top notch! Me and my bf can't go a week without it! I highly recommend the steak pho and if she's not out add the spare rib! Trust me!! The spring rolls are great too with an awesome peanut sauce or if you're feeling extra spicy ask for Nancy's special fish sauce! This is a real gem in our community! Nancy has brought her 80 year family pho recipe from Vietnam to us here in Youngstown!!! We're so lucky to have such authentic and delicious food! Go support her and enjoy some amazing food! You'll thank me later!

Nancy the owner is extremely friendly as is her whole staff! Very Authentic I love it spicy so the hot oil on the tables if you're feeling brave ask Nancy to try the chili paste she makes but be warned it is really HOT!! Best Pho in the tri state by far!! Love this place I go a couple times a week v

First off, it's pronounced "fuh ". Not "foe". Now, this place is legit Vietnamese. The best I may have ever had. The best YOU may ever had. Also, this is the only REAL Vietnamese restaurant in youngstown. That other place is a sham. I've heard Vietnamese people call that other place and speak Vietnamese and they're like "we don't speak it and we don't know it sorry". Nancy on the other hand (Pho Lv's Owner) is 100% the real deal. And so is her food. Check out the Banh Mi, it's insanely good. And of course the steak & brisket pho. Needless to say, this place is incredible. After eating here, your first question will be "do you cater weddings, birthday parties, Arbor Day parties?" Go there or you hate the American dream.

Banh Mi, crusty French roll, so darn GREAT!!! But don't eat the jalapeño slices unless you like heat!

I'm chain g it to a five star from four star. This place is the best Vietnamese food in the area. I got the house special Pho, and wife got the V-1, vermicelli with crunchy Vietnamese roll, bbq shrimp, and a marinated and sliced pork chop. Wifey loves the peanut sauce, I like their fish sauce 'cuz it is the milder stuff. Used that on the Summer rolls with shrimp and bbq pork. Love those! Added a couple pics too. Easy to find, same parking lot as Elmo's Bras. Why a muppet sells bras I'll never know.

I went to Kent for an adventure, found Hue Banh Mi & Pho on Yelp! so I gave it a go. When I walked through the door I knew the food was going to be good because it smelled like I was in the kitchen hovering over fresh cut veg, fish sauce and lime. Yum. I got two pork banh mi and summer rolls. I ate half a sandwich and one roll at a nearby park and had the other half for dinner when I got home. The bread was perfect--crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The veg was crisp and refreshing and the pork delicious, tender and moist. The summer roll was good, peanut sauce was perfect and I got a side of nước chấm so I could double dip. I had the second sandwich for breakfast.* I happily saw they put mayo on the banh mi so I asked for none and they made it without. Yay or otherwise yuk. I will make a special 55 minute trip to eat here again. *I go between Detroit and Cleveland on the regular so I usually get a banh mi for the road and one for the next day. Hear me out--deconstruct the sandwich and wrap the veg in a moist paper towel and seal in a glass jar. Store the bread in the paper bag it came in and put the meat away as you normally would. The next day wet the paper bag and put the bread in the oven for about 5 mins. Reheat the meat on the stove top, reassemble and enjoy.

The carrots and jalapenos were fresh. The baguette was both slightly crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. This would be a solid 4 in NYC. In Kent, OH... it's a well deserved 5 stars.

Kitchen, real food doesn't start until 1030. So essentially I went twice today lol On the first round, I got an iced Americano with a tablespoon of condensed milk, which was plenty sweet enough, and the espresso had really good, strong flavor. My daughter got the seasonal blueberry wildflower tea, it was a beautiful purple color, but it was a little too sweet for me. There is the option to add lemonade to the tea, but that would've made it so sweet. We also got a bagel with cream cheese and a Rainbow rice crispy just to get a little bite before we came back to order the real food. Once the kitchen was open, we went back, I got the iced coconut Matcha with Boba. It was really really good and quenching. We got all our food to go, the vegetarian fried dumplings, bibimbap with beef, a papaya salad and a veggie bahn mi. It was all very good, the papaya salad was not spicy at all. Next time I would forgo the meat on the bibimbap, all of this food had such great flavor, no meat needed. The guys working the register on both occasions were so patient and helpful. They were not annoyed at my questions at all. Only complaint is they need to be open in the evenings so I can get this for dinner! I have been wanting to go for a year or more but the hours make that limited. It's a casual, low key place, I enjoyed looking at the books and games

We ordered takeout this time, and the overall experience was great. We placed an order online, and everything was very neatly packaged and ready to go when expected. The food even travelled fairly well, such that it was still in good shape after traveling home. The restaurant itself is in a bit of a drab strip mall, but it's generally nicely decorated with colorful signage and a nicely kept interior. In terms of the food, the shrimp spinach dumplings were really nicely done, with lots of flavor and texture. My partner especially enjoyed the barbecue pork bao, which were nicely steamed with a very flavorful filling. The egg tart was good, but not really my thing. It had a bit of a caramelized sugar flavor reminiscent of waffles with syrup. The spicy oil splashed noodles, one of the noodle dishes on the menu, was generally lacking: some nice toppings, but not much flavor. Overall, this is a nice little place that seems to be fairly well run. I suggest going for the dim sum and giving up on expectations for anything on the menu that isn't dim sum.
