Hole in the wall, buried in a 1970's strip mall between a sex toy shop and a girdle store (yes that's apparently a thing in 2026?!?). When I say this is the most surprised I've been in a hot minute, this isn't hyperbole. We got a bowl or pho, along with some spring rolls and a Bahn mi sandwich. Server was very nice, although he had his hands full basically running the entire dining room. Considering there were probably eight tables all filled, containing 15 people or so... his accuracy and speed were actually pretty impressive. Only small hiccup was he forgot the Diet Coke's we had ordered. But all things considered, that's not bad at all. Spring rolls Fresh, crispy, plenty of veggies bursting from the seams. Served hot, but not so hot it melted your mouth. Came with a seeet and savory dipping sauce. After crushing them, I was sad I didn't get a second order. We're off to a *very* good start. Pho 1/2 Traditional Vietnamese pho. Salty. Spicy. Umami. Fresh veggies blanched to perfection. Quality noodles and broth. Very generous portion size. Perfect warm and savory dish for a chilly Ohio evening. Would 100% get again. Bahn Mi Absolute star of the show. First, the baguette tasted like it just got off a plane from a Parisian bakery. Buttery, soft, pillowy inside, with a firm, crunchy outer shell. Slight hint of salt and sweet. It came filled with a delectable grilled pork. Not the cheap kind you find in most Asian dishes as filler. This was quality stuff. Perfect balance of salty and savory. Also came with fresh cucumbers, shaved carrots, daikon, and leafy cilantro complimenting the pork. I often use a "how many minutes would you drive out of your way to come back to this place" scale. For Pho LV, I gave it a "30 minutes" rating. Which is absurd. It's the second highest rating I've ever given a place. Unfortunately I live about an hour and 15 minute away in Stark County, so I won't be here often. However, if I am anywhere near this place again, I am 100% stopping back in and satisfying that craving. Cause oh Lordy was it worth it. read more

Visiting from out of town (from DC). Would not recommend for take out as portions were incredibly small for the price. Had the steak pho, meatballs, and summer rolls. Was charged extra for sliced onions ($1.00) and received very little and it was not the typical thinly sliced vinegar onions of a traditional Vietnamese place. Extra meatballs and steak were both placed in the pho broth container. This is the driving force behind the star reduction. I was disappointed the steak was placed in the broth instead of on the side (ask customer preference). Paying extra for meatballs ($3 each, got 2 orders) they should be in their own container (not reducing my pho broth volume as both were placed in the one container)! The ambience is typical of any small pho place/ doesn't need to be fancy. Very nice menus. Enjoyed the summer rolls and peanut sauce. I would say this is par for the course for any Asian cuisine for this area, but as a lifelong weekly pho eater, this is a let down. read more

This is some of the best pho and banh mi I've had in a while and I live around a lot of Vietnamese cuisine (San Diego). The banh mi was crispy and is very flavorful. The pho broth was hearty. They have good sized portions and I pretty much demolished the whole bowl. Our waitress was very nice and I had a great experience here. If you're looking for some authentic Vietnamese food or if you're new to this cuisine this restaurant would be a place I would recommend to everyone. I've had the food here several times. It is always made fresh and the employees are always friendly. I appreciate that they have pics on the menu, because I don't know what everything is. Delicious options include any variety of pho, the bbq rib dinner, spring rolls, beef skewers, and a staple like chicken fried rice. Incredible Vietnamese in Youngstown - noodles were not wet / slippery but stuck together well...the meat was cooked just right...the vegetables were fresh, and the crispy rolls in it were nice and crunchy. How can you beat that? Ordered (not pictured) a Vietnamese coffee too that was sweet and milky, perfect after the Half Marathon. Amazing staff as they were attentive and friendly. The food arrived quickly and I could tell that it was freshly prepared. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, very tender not tough. Drank iced green jasmine tea with my meal, and it was refreshing and complimented the food. Will eat here again the next time I stop in Boardman. read more

Just tried this place over the weekend and let me tell you I'm mad I didn't try it sooner. Love the atmosphere, the waiter was very nice. The pork egg rolls were delicious with the peanut butter sauce. The shrimp Pho was tasty. Not as sweet and cinnamon-y as the other guys but the earthy notes of their spices still made a delicious broth nonetheless. I will definitely be back! read more

Very friendly people running this Boardman Vietnamese place. Little small inside but food rocks. I had the cha gio. They were meaty and delicious. Nice tender texture in the filling. Nicely fried in clean oil. The pho was excellent. The broth was perfect. The combo came loaded with beef and tendons. Only one large piece of meatball and a little tripe. I will definitely be back. We have, for several years, come here whenever my husband and I are in Boardman. We've always received friendly service and great food. Unfortunately, that changed two days ago. Our visit started with an indifferent greeting... neither rude nor friendly....followed by water that they bottle but when poured into a metal cup produced a sheen on top of it. We did not drink it. We ordered what we always order: a banh mi and beef and brisket pho. The banh mi lacked veggies and the pho lacked meat and flavor in addition to being the size of what we would consider a lunch portion. Our bill was $47. It woulve been well worth it if the food was good, but it wasnt. They had chili sauce sitting on the table that looked old. Judging by the people we see working there, it appears the restaurant has undergone some management and staff changes. It's also gone from excellent to mediocre and we will not be returning. read more

First off, it's pronounced "fuh ". Not "foe". Now, this place is legit Vietnamese. The best I may have ever had. The best YOU may ever had. Also, this is the only REAL Vietnamese restaurant in youngstown. That other place is a sham. I've heard Vietnamese people call that other place and speak Vietnamese and they're like "we don't speak it and we don't know it sorry". I got the house special Pho, and wife got the V-1, vermicelli with crunchy Vietnamese roll, bbq shrimp, and a marinated and sliced pork chop. Wifey loves the peanut sauce, I like their fish sauce 'cuz it is the milder stuff. Used that on the Summer rolls with shrimp and bbq pork. Love those! Added a couple pics too. I'm still shocked that Ohio has one of the best Vietnamese places I've ever eaten at, especially having lived on the West Coast for a long time. Pho LV is spectacular, from the amazing food to the absolutely lovely staff. This is one of my regular spots, and the staff is awesome at remembering names and favorite orders. Nancy's pho broth is the best broth for pho that I've ever had and the fish sauce is to die for. Definitely get the pho the first time you go but when you go back (you'll go back), try the char-broiled porkchop. Perfect for a cool day...well, who are we trying to kid here...Pho, especially from this spot, is great any day. The restaurant only has a few tables but really, you're in and out here. I was greeted and seated as soon as I walked in the door. They have apps, rolls, pho and more but I only wanted a roll and pho. I ordered the shrimp roll and pho. The soup was piping hot and I love how the shrimp was cooked so well in both. The flavor of the pho was ok, I needed a little more seasoning and after adding the veggies and cilantro it was really good. The peanut sauce that accompanied the roll was on point, I literally could bathe in the stuff with that perfect balance of peanut butter and tamari... Omg the reviews are correct. They are truly amazing food. We passed by Youngstown on our road trip and came across this little gem! (Nothing around the hotel had great reviews except this one) The waitress was so nice. We ordered XL bowls, shrimp and pork salad, egg rolls, sandwiches and the spring rolls. Everything was so delicious and the spicy oil was definitely hitting the spot if you like spicy food. The pho has the real bone broth, not bland like other places.
