Ordered takeout: everything was excellent. We will definitely go again. I believe best Chinese restaurant in town.

We have never had a bad meal here. We usually get the triple crown, and it is delicious.

Egg Roll, Won ton soup, General Tso's chicken was outstanding! This was a take out order. Food was piping hot when I arrived home. I will definitely be back. read more

The food was delicious and the delivery was prompt and definitely we will order again

I think it's the best Chinese in the area. I particularly like the Mongolian beef. It's not overdone, and you can have it without spice, if you like. Waiters are friendly and helpful. read more

Some of the best Chinese food I have eaten in a long time. We had Mongolian beef and dumplings. Service was very good.

Food is very good. I apologize I was so hungry I did not take pictures. The Spare ribs were cooked to perfection and the Egg Drop soup was piping hot and very flavorful, read more

Food is consistently good!!! Service if you eat in is fast and take out is always fresh and hot! Highly recommend.

The quality of the food has declined during the last three years. During the Pandemic, like many, Imperial Garden had to rely on take-out. Since the quality which had been superior to similar Asian restaurants is now less than average in quality and taste. read more

Great food, service, and atmosphere! great deal for the money! Nice portions on the lunch special! Hot tea was yummy.

Our go to place for take out. We order ahead on their website and it's ready when we fet there. The Shrimp Egg Rolls were exceptional today. My fVorite is General Tso Jumbo Shrimp, medium spicy. Mar loves their vegetable Mei Fun noodles. Their Egg Drop and Won Ton Soups (I mix them 50/50) have kept me going during my health battles over the past four years. Sam and Mei have actually improved their food over the past year or so. Good family run business. read more

Everything we have ever ordered here has been excellent--crispy duck, chicken with mixed vegetables, szechuan beef, cashew shrimp, mei fun, lo mein, eggrolls, steamed dumplings, and soups have all been super flavorful. We ordered last week before an overnight trip to cedar point and took the leftovers with us--much healthier food than at the park! read more

Everything was great...Best Chinese food and great service in the area. We are looking forward to our return...

Absolutely great food. The amazing chicken is delicious and big . I always get the fried Rangoon they tasty

Fantastic Chinese, along with Golden Hunan on Belmont, this is easily the best Chinese in the Valley. The steamed dumplings are clearly house made and tasty! Singapore mei fun has just the right spice and beef ho fun was equally good! Glad I found them. read more

My favorite Chinese in the valley! There food is always cooked perfectly! I have tried many things, and I have never been disappointed. Even when I use a delivery service the food is packaged perfectly. I recommend everyone get Scallion pancakes!! read more

I wish I could give this place 3.5 stars. It's not quite 4 stars. I've been a few times and came away in the past with a better impression than this evening. But, the food is good. The service is ok. The Kung Pao shrimp was good. Mildly spicy, the vegetables were a little overcooked. The shrimp was good for being inland like we are here. The rice was good. The sauce was good, but could have been spicier. The peanuts, well, I love peanuts. The wife's Szechuan Shrimp was sweeter than spicy. The broccoli was good, but again, the vegetables were overcooked. They have Sake, Plum wine, Tsingtao, Sapporo and a few wines. Prices are reasonable, most dishes ranging from $9-$14. They do a brisk takeout. Parking and access to the parking area is tricky. It's better if you approach from the north on Tippy or Lockwood, rather than from 224. The left turn into the little shopping center is life-threatening. Overall, this is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to in the area. Shanghai River, just down 224, is the next place to get a return trip. read more

This is still one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. I got the shrimp this time. It is very good. read more

Imperial Garden - Chinese Near Me - Youngstown, Ohio

I went to imperial garden it was my first time eating Chinese food the service was good I ate the sweet & sour chicken and they gave me extra fortune cookies and it was definitely a good place to eat read more

Just got done with a great dinner! Not to refute what anyone has said previously on Yelp but our party of 3 had an incredible experience all the way around. Food and service were excellent. We ordered the following items and all were fantastic and certainly to our liking! Spring Rolls Scallion Pancake *** first time trying it and I loved it. Mongolian Beef Chicken w/Garlic Sauce Szechuan Shrimp It was more than enough food for 3 and could have fed a 4th person easily. Well worth the total bill which came to about $53 As for the service, there was a very nice young girl who took care of us and honestly was more attentive and helpful than I could have asked for. She was knowledgeable and answered the few questions we had, kept our drinks full at all times and did a great job pre-bussing. I had always enjoyed Imperial Garden for take-out but this was the first time actually dining in and I will definitely be back! read more

We went here looking for a quick and affordable lunch. We were not disappointed. Food was really good and the staff was friendly. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because we had to pay for the crab rangoon sauce which most places include a small bit of for free. read more

Ordered Kung Pao chicken...thru door dash. NOT SPICY clearly written on order. Cost $28 thru door dash. Order arrived so spicy and full of pepper flakes that one bite and my mouth is on fire and throat feels burned. Called store and nothing they can do. Messaged door dash and they offered me $5 to use on an order in the next 7 days read more

Hands down the BEST Chinese food. This isn't your typical American Chinese restaurant food. Their quality of each dish is outstanding.

We eat here often. We love the food and the family atmosphere. The General Tso is out of this world good. Their Crab Rangoon is homemade and delicious. Please come and try it out! read more

Imperial Garden - General Tso - Chinese Near Me - Youngstown, Ohio

We were trying to find a place, which could accommodate a vegetarian and a man with dietary restrictions (Crohn's disease) They had both - vegetarian options and lean dishes! (Meat lovers, they had all your favorite dishes as well!) On top of the good menu selection, service was very good, kind and attentive. Very friendly stuff, highly recommended! read more

Absolute best Chinese food in the area, their attention to detail is outstanding.... I suggest the garlic and broccoli chicken extra spicy... But anything on the menu will be delicious. read more

I went here for the first time today. I have always heard good things. I was really pleased with my experience here. The owner was very friendly. I started with the Won Ton soup and it was great. I liked how it had a little spice to it. I then had the General Tso's and white rice. You can get the spicy dishes mild, medium, or hot. I got it hot and it wasn't to bad of heat. The chicken comes in bigger pieces then other Chinese places. I will definitely be back. I think I found my new favorite Chinese place! read more

Very good sweet n sour chicken and fried rice. Will be back to try other dishes. They also serve brown rice which is a nice healthier option. read more

Imperial garden is an amazing place to go. Whenever I am home to visit family we go. Best Chinese food ever. Portions large and owner is so nice. Don't let the prices scare you off because it's more than your average Chinese place. It's worth every penny, your portion is large the pieces of beef or chicken are huge You can tell it is made fresh. Love this place read more

This was the worst Asian food we have had in the greater Youngstown area. First of all, they were unwilling to accommodate for any type of children's portion, but this was just the beginning of an overall terrible dinner. When I tried to confirm how my food would be prepared, I was led to believe it was completely different than the soggy mess presented to me. Once told that I didn't like my dish, the waitress proceeded to tell us that the owner will not do anything about it - including charging full price for a plate with a 1/2 a bite taken from it. My husbands dish was equally unappetizing and the food was FAR too salty overall. It most certainly contained MSG and we are trying to recover the evening - thirsty and hungry after paying a full bill and leaving. read more

Very courteous staff who answers & takes orders over the phone. Their wonton soup is the best we've ever had, hands down! (Just one time the broth was quite spicy that made it quite difficult to eat.... Even for my husband who's usually ok with mild spicy foods couldn't eat the soup) I truly think it was not intentionally meant to be spicy. But do try their wonton soup! It's delicious! The reason I gave this 3-stars is because their sweet/sour dishes literally swims in cloyingly & overly sweet sauce. We aren't sure if the chicken, beef, pork are truly such. The texture, taste is way off for it to be called chicken --- or beef ----, et. Their Lo mein is usually quite good. I'm very allergic to ground grown mushrooms. They require extra charges to make sure there's no cross contamination. I do not mind paying the extra charges. I just wish more places focused on such sensitivities concerning cross contamination. read more

Best food, first time ordering here. Very fresh, the most tender chicken ever. I had chicken with broccoli, he had beef and broccoli - both amazing! The BEST shrimp egg rolls I have ever had! read more

Okay so this place has been great until recently. My last 2 orders had missing items and then when I called to tell them the lady argued with me. They have totally lost my business, and it is so sad because I really like the food. However, terrible customer service. read more

Nice and cozy little Chinese restaurant with lots of seating. Only off thing was that they were playing country music. Attentive service from the moment we entered the front door. Started with egg drop soup and wonton soup. Egg drop was perfect. One of the best I have had here in Youngstown. We then got the PuPu platter. Egg rolls, crab ragoon, ribs were very good. Finished off the meal with special fried rice. Lots of shrimp, chicken and steak pieces. Overall a great experience. read more

I'm so sad. This was my go-to place for years. I was absolutely in love with the quality of food here. They didn't understand me well when I called, but we got through that and I enjoyed some of the most flavorful and delicious American style Chinese food I've ever had. Quietly, summer 2016, the restaurant was sold. The family that opened and built the business sold it to a new owner. I had high hopes. The former owner said she was staying on for a week to help show the new owners the ropes. A week? Oh man, I hope it was enough time. I tried it twice after the sale. A month after it changed hands, my chicken was super chewy, and of an obviously lower quality. The sauce was awful and uninspired. Ok, I'll try it again. I'm a reasonable man, and I understand that change can be hard. I waited this time for another two months. Three months of operation should be enough time, yes? No. The same awful chicken, the same bland and sad sauce. Forgive the complete bashing review, I'm in mourning of my favorite Chinese food. read more

Reviews were good so Don't know what happened but most of the food was tasteless. I order take out, Food was ready on time. Shrimp egg roll was good thin wrappers. Crab rangoon I thought very good But no dipping sauce, sweet enough for me but my Mr was very unimpressed. He loves the sauce that usually comes with it. Steam dumplings just OK dough needs to be thinner , Egg Foo Young was good. My Mr's Sweet and Sour Chicken there ws NO Sauce at all very bland. just deep fry & some vegetables but either chief had off day or they forgot 2nd bag with sauces. Paid the extra for fried rice No Taste at all. I talk my Mr into trying this place and everything is more money so I right now I'm upset. I will call tomorrow since closed now to see if I can get refund on his chicken since they really missed the boat on it. read more

The best Chinese I've ever had. I've ordered from here since they first opened up, and nothing ever compares

The BEST place I've encountered in Youngstown. The family is absolutely amazing....I am treated like a star every time I come in. The food is wonderful, and I try something new every time. If you like great food and amazing service, this is the place! Try the sizzling beef and scallop plate; my mouth is watering just thinking about it! read more

The food is descent if you like MSG. They claim they don't use it but that's not true. They drown their cheap quality meat in so much sauce to disguise the taste. The woman owner is rude and unaccommodating .... DO NOT ASK TO PUT THE SAUCE ON THE SIDE! Be sure to check your bill.... If she THINKS you won't leave a tip.... She'll ADD ONE ON! That's against the law. . . unless stated on the menu. It's not. She will also charge extra for togo containers..... ? They do a brisk take out business. There were three tables including ours but apparently she was overwhelmed. When asked if she would put the sauce on the side... She did not want to ask the cook ( her husband ) for this. ' special request '. It was for my youngest son... and she said.. " If you want chicken nuggets for your kid... Go to McDonald's!!!! " ....we would've been better off. This is not the first time she was rude to me and countless others... But it will be the last. There is better Chinese food in the area.... With owners who are accommodating, warm, friendly and happy to have your business. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. read more
