    Vegetarian pho broth, plus vegetables.
    Mike B.

Overall good experience. We ordered takeout, and the ordering experience was very easy. Everything was well packaged and ready exactly when it was expected to be. In terms of the food, everything was good but also somewhat underwhelming. That might or might not be a result of our mostly vegetarian order and the restaurant's focus on some of the meat-based items on the menu. Also: parking was fairly easy, despite the East Liberty location. In terms of the food, our order was good but not great. The shrimp fresh rolls were good, but the peanut sauce seemed to be lacking. The tofu banh mi was decent and included excellent bread, but it could have use more vegetable content: more cilantro, more jalapeños, more cucumber, more pickled carrot and daikon. I also added some sriracha to add a little more flavor. The vegetarian pho was good, with plenty of fresh vegetables on the side, but the broth could have used more flavor. They served the pho vegetables with a packet of sriracha and a packet of soy sauce, plus some fresh limes. That might suggest that we were responsible for seasoning things on our own, but I would have liked to see more flavor in the baseline broth. The salt and pepper tofu bowl was good, and possibly one of my favorite items. They also had an option to add extra vegetables to most dishes, but the vegetables were somewhat uninspired: carrot, broccoli, and mushroom. I realize that's just an add-in, but it didn't seem worth including as an option. All told, this was a nice destination, with nicely prepared Vietnamese food, but it wasn't a particularly inspired experience. Good Vietnamese food for the Pittsburgh market, and worth checking out, but somewhat short of spectacular.

We came here to celebrate my parents finally retiring. It felt appropriate to do so in E Liberty since that's where their business had been for the past fifty years. My dad was craving pho so it was perfect. The restaurant is clean and cute. The servers were really kind. The food was good. Pho is always great on a cold day. Them being a byo is also a plus. Thanks for a great meal!

Needed a warm pick me up and decided to on pho! Pho and Roll was a 20 minute walk from me and I was drawn to their pho selection and Summer Rolls. I order the vegetable + tofu pho, summer roll with Shrimp, Thai Tea and Vietnamese Coffee (to go!). The portions were great and delicious. I had pho leftover and I can't wait to have more of the soup + veggies! Overall a really great place to come alone or with friends. There was so much more I would have loved to try but everything I ordered was perfect. The store front is very cute and has so much natural lighting and many plants throughout. They play music and it's the perfect volume to add to the ambiance without disrupting your ability to chat it up.

When I first checked this place out online, I was expecting a kind of fast-food atmosphere, but despite the storefront appearance, the ambiance is really beautiful and relaxing. The staff was very helpful and patient in explaining dishes and helping everyone in our large party order something they'd like - we're a mix of omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. I really appreciate that they have gluten-free sauces available. Following the theme, I had Pho (tofu) and Roll (summer). The Pho was loaded with vegetables and generous portion of tofu and was surprisingly filling. Everyone in our party was happy with their meals and with the fun, relaxing evening we shared together.

This is my go to spot for pho in Pittsburgh. I got the regular pho with beef. Comes with a good amount of beef but it could have come with more noodles. I also had some of the lemongrass chicken which was great. Very tender and flavorful. Service is pretty quick and the place is clean.

This place replaced Two Sisters after it closed (I loved Two Sisters!), and when I went to the new location the quality and vibe felt pretty similar. I got the pork vermicelli bowl, which comes with a crispy spring roll. The ingredients felt very fresh, and the portions were really generous. The meat was also cooked and seasoned really well -- super tender and savory. I went when it first opened up so there wasn't too terrible of a wait, but don't know how busy it is now. If you liked Two Sisters I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try!

So tasty ! Wide variety of vegetarian items (none veg too!) All of the dishes had a fresh bright flavor. From Spring rolls, Pho and vermicelli noodles. The server was professional and on point. Attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant decor is welcoming as well as tasteful ! I only wish that I lived closer. Supporting this place should be on the top of your list!

The boba is delicious, great texture. Great Thai tea. Sandwich was delicious and I felt so at home. Be careful though this place gets busy quickly because it isn't a secret, everyone loves it due to the accommodating ownership and sharp flavors.

I'm definitely a sucker for a BYOB Vietnamese kitchen, and the new Pho & Roll in East Liberty does not disappoint! While the menu is relatively small, everything on it is delicious. The chef doesn't shy away from the fishy, sour, umami flavors of traditional Asian food that some American restaurants tend to do, and I love it! Serving a variety of Vietnamese soups & noodle bowls as well as fresh appetizers that are a good sharing size, I would definitely recommend stopping in! I personally recommend the spring rolls appetizer to share, and getting one of their soups (pho or bun bo hue) or a vermicelli noodle bowl. And don't forget to top off your meal with a Thai iced tea! The only downside is that the service is a little bit slow, so just be prepared for a leisurely pace to your dinner. Food: A- Drinks: B+ Atmosphere: B Service: B-

Tofu and veggie pho with chicken broth

We were nearby after a workout and wanted something warm and hearty on a winter day. Pho seemed like a good choice. I agree with other reviews that the broth here is not as potent, kind of watered down tasting. And the price of $16 for a bowl of pho seems a little on the high side, but I've seen crazier things in the post pandemic inflation world. Still, it was tasty and filling, so I'm satisfied. It was also exceptionally clean inside. Parking is paistreet parking. There is a paid lot behind the restaurant as well.

And there is an ATM near by per the staff. Also note the prices on the menu are not what they are charging for some things. And things look to have gotten more expensive. As example. The wonton soup is $13 on the physical in restaurant menu but $15 on our bill. And I saw an online picture of the menu of $1.95 for the egg rolls and spring rolls. They are now $6 on the current menu. This is an old school Vietnamese hole in the wall pho place. Paper napkins, plastic chop sticks and vinyl table cloths. 5/5 for what it is. Would definitely return for the Cha Gio. Kid gives thumbs up for the Pho and would Return for that also.

It is pretty small inside and there are a few tables outside. You order at the counter or can order by phone or online. Usually I order online and every time I have walked in to find it bagged and ready to go. They did change ordering systems a few months ago which had a few kinks to work out. The food is mostly sandwiches and rice or vermicelli bowls. There also is soup, summer rolls and a cucumber salad. In addition they have coffee and tea, lemonade and bubble tea. I have not tried any drinks but I would like to. My go to is the Feelin' Tofu Banh Mi which has the tofu, veggies and yummy sauce and I like to add some jalapeños for some kick. The bread is flavorful with a little crunch that holds up pretty well. The veggies give such a light tasty crunch. I do feel that the sandwich could do with a little more on it portion wise both for value but also to be more balanced with the amount of bread. It is a tasty sandwich though. We also like to get the tofu summer rolls. The balance here can be a bit off with too much lettuce. However, the sauce is absolutely delicious and could make just about anything taste good. This is a great place to stop by for lunch or dinner (but beware they close at 6) or just to grab a drink during the day. We like to pick up the food to take to a brewery to eat. It is usually pretty easy to find street parking close by. Friendly service and tasty food.
