    Almost nothing!

I think this place must have changed ownership. It used to be good, BUT today, the people were dismissive; the guy pressed the 10% tip himself ( after the service and amount of food I got) I didn't think they deserved anything extra). The bowl of Pho was a child portion; the amount of garnish the least I have ever received ANYWHERE!

Ordered a chicken bún for dine in. Strange that they'd serve that on a plate. Service was prompt but the lady who took our order and served us wasn't in a good mood. Maybe it's an off day for her. Ambiance? It used to be Wienerschnitzel and nothing much was done to it so.

My favorite meal here!!!! Took a bite for you to see the handmade fried egg roll center. Vietnam house is the best!!

I love the repositioning of this hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant. It's still a casual sit down spot but it reminds me about the Vietnam experience so well. Though, the prices of increased for obvious economic trading, inflation, and better wages, Vietnam House still is one of my favorite Vietnamese spots in Alameda. I always order the same thing, chicken with vermicelli and an egg roll. It's a rare day where I found myself leisurely walking down Park St. craving Vietnamese pho. The service is genuine and the food is delicious. It was relaxing eating here at 3:30pm while the hustle and bustle is calm. Definitely hit the spot, thanks so much!! Happy Retirement, Auntie! Can't wait to see you all again!

This place "feels" like Vietnam. Especially during this heatwave season. I gave this place a visit for a banh mi and their signature coffee. It did not disappoint! It's a small corner cafe with not much seating but if you're able to have a sit down, you'll have an enjoyable afternoon. The location is kind of difficult to find parking for, but worry not they have their own lot which is tucked away on the side of the street.

Honestly some of the best shrimp rolls I've had in a while. You can taste the shrimp flavor without fishiness and all balances great together. You order at the front window and can either wait there for to-go orders, or go around to the side seating to the right and there's a window they'll call your order when it's ready

Here you gooo! Best pho in Alameda! The staff here always ready to make sure you have the best experience! I love this place!

    Pho so yummy !

Good hot pho served and other offerings. We we t here a few times and food is on point. Rated 3 due to table and area was cold and my soup lost heat quicker than we can finish it. The dining area needs attention. :)

I haven't been to Vietnam House more than 5 times but I can say every time I've been here I've enjoyed the food. The portions are decent for the price and it tastes good. They have seated dining after you order at the window. The seating area is enclosed and though I haven't been on a hot day, they have big windows they can slide to let air in. There's a designated parking lot which makes it more appealing to dine at because parking on park street can be tough. I remember when this place use to be a Weinerschnitzel and I'm glad they didn't tear down the whole building before another restaurant moved in.

Overall decent Vietnamese food. Meatballs in the pho ba vien was a bit over cooked, but rest of dishes were delicious

What's the best way to order for pickup? Do they work with any apps?

It's kind of an old school place so I'm sure you call and pick up yourself. I don't know of a particular app but you could try Caviar. They deliver food all over the place.

The interior space is small and there is not much ambiance, but the food is great and the people are nice. Notable dishes I've had: - Spicy Cumin Lamb hand-pulled noodles. Nice and spicy, hits the spot on a cold day. Big portion. - Cold Noodle/Liang Pi. Shareable appetizer or maybe a main if you're not too hungry or are sharing something like dumplings. - Pork Dumplings. I prefer these with sauce as opposed to the soup, but that's just me. These really hit the spot and are a must-get!

Really great service but wow things have changed since we last came here…read more We ordered the lamb cumin dish- but there was little to no protein in this dish! Small teeny piece of lamb- I'm talking about less than a crouton size - for a dish that's almost $20, I think they can be more fair and generous with the lamb portions of this meal. The spicy beef sauce w/ noodle was soooo spicy and the depth of flavor wasn't really there. My partner ordered this and it was way too spicy for him, and I thought it was overly spicy also. I ate this as leftovers the next day and it really upset my stomach from lunch into the evening. Won't be ordering this again. Your mileage may vary- some people really love this place but I think I'll opt for other noodle places instead

Ended up going to Chong Qing noodle house and it was a smart decision. We walked over and immediately greeted by the very nice lady. We said to go so we grabbed a menu and sat down. The lady approached us and asked if we needed reccomendation. I said I wanted dried noodles so she recommended the Zha Jiang noodles. She also recommended the wonton and some cucumbers but we ended up just getting the wonton in addition to the noodles. They prepared our foood quickly and we had it to go We took our food to the alameda brewery and as soon as open the noodles - it already smelled so good. Those noodles were amazing!!!! It was so flavorful, bouncy noodles, tender meat and together it was perfect. I did wish it comes w fried eggs. The wontons are also tasty - great taste and the chili oil is perfect I would def comeback to this place and try their other dish! And I recommend you check them out

About 15 seconds after we got our menus, that one of the servers was hovering over us. We were trying to make our decision but she would just not leave us alone, and kept pointing out options. It felt more like pressure than anything. Once we ordered the food came fairly quickly. The wings were incredibly flavorful, I'd order again in a heartbeat. The dumplings were delicious. My biggest complaint was how pushy the server was. I wanted to leave but I thought my niece wanted to stay so I didn't say anything. While we were leaving my niece said she was very uncomfortable there, but didn't want to say anything. The food was delicious, but we both agreed we'd probably order delivery next time. Our in person experience was just too unpleasant.

However we did request 3 highchairs, and they only apparently have 1 available. Seating is available both inside, as well as outside in a covered area next to their parking lot. We definitely way over-ordered despite the larger headcount. However, the food pacing was really off. We only had a few dishes come out initially, which everyone just picked at while chatting away. And it wasn't until quite a bit into the meal when the dishes started coming fast and hard. And next thing we knew, the table was piled high with food that all seemingly arrived at once. The portions were pretty sizable, and the food quality overall good to acceptable. They have a pretty large menu, so there is no shortage of options to choose from. Parking is available in their private lot, which is a huge plus.
