OK food Bento box - pad see ew was burnt and overly salted - tuna roll was nothing special - gyoza should have been drained first, it was quite oily. or perhaps one with lighter skin could be purchased these are all foods my toddler usually loves however the execution was not right with the cooking Service was friendly. Atmosphere was cozy and seating was limited. the bathroom outside has a tricky lock that you may need to ask for help with. Overall I do not recommend to return unless food is of consistent good quality.
Mexican roll is always amazing!! I add the jalapeños for the extra spice! The customer service here is amazing, they are extremely kind, I'm not sure what other reviewers are saying about their customer service. Just give it a try!! I love the vibes and aesthetics. Also their Chicken Satay is super good! Grab a beer while you at it or some hot sake
A great place to grab lunch on a weekday. Their lunch combo is a great deal! You get an appetizer, entree, salad, and soup all for $16. The pad see ew with chicken was super delicious and made to my spice level just as I asked! The fried spring rolls are super tasty and come out piping hot! Customer service was great and plenty of seats !

When I came home with my order, I realized our tempura was missing. I immediately called the restaurant to mention this and they said they would have it ready if I wanted to go back to pick it up. I would have appreciated a discount or something for this lack of attention to detail, but let it slide. When I got there, they handed me the box right away and said they reheated it for me so it should be warm. One thing to know about tempura is that it cannot be reheated - it ruins the entire dish as the tempura batter is supposed to be light and crispy. When you reheat it, it becomes soggy. When I mentioned this, they wouldn't budge on creating a new order. - 49er roll: average 49er roll - Crazy salmon roll: I enjoyed the spice and ikura on top of the roll I would recommend trying a variety of their dishes. For the most part, they are good. The three stars is simply for the tempura incident and I hope that doesn't happen to anyone else.
My first meal in Alameda. This restaurant is a fusion of Thai food and sushi. I ordered three sushi rolls and two Thai dishes. The sushi is beautifully presented and tastes delicious. The quality of the food is good and the portion size is worth the price. The Thai food I ordered was crab fried rice and Kra paw Beef (come with rice). The food was delicious. The crab fried rice is the MUST !!! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and warm.
I had a Thai iced tea, chicken wings and spider role not necessarily in that order. The beverage seems to taste the same wherever I go. The chicken wings were good served up with a sweet sauce. The spider role was delicious. Liked the crunchy aspect of some of it. The service was good in this small restaurant. Not a bad place to grab a bite. I was part of a group of eight people. They do have an automatic service charge for certain size parties. Since we had the server issue a couple separate checks it didn't occur to me that the gratuity was already built in to the bill. Glad my friend spoke up and had the bill amended.
We love Blue fin sushi Thai as our neighborhood restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is very very good. It's nice to have a broad menu where everyone can find something delicious from Thai food, Japanese food, and sushi. It's great also cause it's right next to the Encinal Market.
Stopped by here for lunch and dined outside. The sweetest waitstaff helped us. We were served ice cold water right away. The bento box lunch special caught our eye. You choose one appetizer and one entree. it comes with a salad with a delicious ginger dressing, rice, and a juicy slice of orange.

We are about to embark on a seafood paradise adventure. crazy salmon roll -- I liked this roll more cause of the salmon and ikura (which I think resembles popping boba) heh nikko crunch roll -- this roll was just ok. gyoza came in a cute little boat dish. Crispy and flavorful. takoyaki -- my fave! Well made and quite tasty! mix tempura -- my friends ate this and enjoyed it poppy love boat -- presentation is sooo nice!! Great variety and freshness of the sushi/sashimi. omakase nigiri -- again, another great presentation. Make sure to dip in soy sauce. seafood pad thai -- it was the sweeter, citrus side. Wished it was a tad bit spicer. Good amount of toppings from the shrimp. Yummy. green curry with chicken -- the green curry was soo good I kept on scooping for more and finished the whole bowl! There was a hint spice but still tolerable to eat. beef teriyaki -- liked how the sauce was served ok the side so you could put per your liking. Service is welcoming and accommodating. I'd come back if I was in the area.
This place gets 5 stars for their food, service and ambience. My boyfriend and I came upon this place because we were intrigued that they served Thai food and Sushi (genius). We love ordering their Chicken Satay and their Mexican Roll. The servers are so kind and always remember us when we go:)
Love the service and the location. Don't love the food but it hits the spot and portions are copious. The Beto box deal at $25 is value for money for sure and is all day long. I wish the food was little more refined and flavor some.
Me and my friends have to decided to give this place a try since we were really craving sushi. Our experience here was amazing!! The staff were super welcoming and nice. They sat us down, gave us plenty of time to order and served us nice cold water :) We came around at a slow time so our rolls were made pretty fast. Our number one favorite so far is the Golden State Roll. When leaving we were thanked by the entire staff!! Overall the food was amazing and we will be coming back soon.

Got treat from a friend and she surprised me with "salmon aburi" roll. I had to say it was a mixed of tastes. Layered lightly with shredded carrots on the bottom, top with salmon (half cooked and half raw), top with seaweed, top with small fish egg, and finally top with fried shallots. The color contrast made the presentation of the dish well. The taste was good too. Might have to consider dinning in. Looking forward to add more in the future. Bluefin Sushi Thai has delicious Thai food in a causal setting. Located next to Encinal Market in central Alameda. This is the second time I've eaten takeout here and the food is flavored deliciously. I also appreciate the care they use when preparing the condiments for my dishes to go. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have plenty of parking as they share a parking lot with Encinal Market. They are a local favorite! read more

Nice local place amongst the many Sushi places to go to. A bit different mix of cultures on the menue. I have never had short flavored rice on my sushi. In hind site I can say I would ask for that again if it was a choice to Calrose rice not Jamin. Outside of that I have to say the service was very attentive and not over bearing with the three tables that occupied the place at the time we where there. We noticed a bout 5 different customers picking up orders at the same time. Good to see them busy on a Thursday. Good fish cuts and choices. Seating area is okay, just watch sitting in the window. The ledges are hidden and hard if you plop yourself down...ouch. Next time I will try the Thai side of the menue read more

The best sushi I have ever had. Attentive service. I love sitting outdoors at restaurants. Although the patio area is near the street you never feel the energy of cars because the patio is surrounded by planters. There are several tables, most with umbrellas, it's quaint. read more

Service was decent and nice! Sushi I ordered was the bluefin bomb roll which was okay. 7/10 and also ordered crazy salmon roll 9/10 and spider roll 7/10. Would I come back? Sure. Would love to try out the rest of the menu since they also have Thai food. read more
Bluefin Sushi Thai is at the corner space next to Encinal Market. take out only offerings: sushi, sashimi, thai food, bento boxes eats: chirashi bowl lunch special (17.95) didn't have soup nor salad -16ish pieces over sweet tasting sushi rice (not the usual vinegared rice) that had undercooked particles. experienced some crunchiness -tamago, tuna, salmon, butterfish, orange color fillets, imitation crab fillets were marinated in some kind of sauce. *average quality, not a good value temaki: -should have gone for the bento box (12.95) better deal/value, maybe would have tasted better. read more

The service, staff, and ambience has definitely been more elevated the last time we were here--maybe 5 years ago. The portion size was average and it was able to satisfy our party of 5. The staff were extremely patient and friendly. Cant get over the new look of the place, very comfy and aesthetically pleasing. But, most importantly shoutout to Nix (their sushi chef)!! We've known since hes worked at Thai Bbq in Union City. Such a sweet person who really cares about food. If you stop by this establishment, you'll know that Nix is putting his all in serving you good sushi! read more

Cute little place near Encinal market, our Thai friends told us they like the sashimi here & their kids love the unagi bowl. I loved that their shrimp & veggie tempera was crisp & not overly oily like other places. Staff were really friendly & helpful. Crab fried rice & Tom Yum soup also very tasty. All went great with bottles of Chang & Asahi beer. Parking was easy & restroom is located across parking lot w a key. Prices super reasonable- we will be back! read more

Food is ok, ordered from DoorDash, I've got the ticket of what I ordered they messed up on a dish, I called the store to ask to speak with manager, the host said there was no manager available and that they were gone for the day... never has that happen in the restaurant industry I've worked for it before and I know the manager is the last one to leave due to counting banks... now, I asked the girl that answered the phone to see if they can reimburse the money from the dish that was mistaken, she said I have to speak to a manager to get that done, completely unhelpful and rude when speaking, I didn't give her an attitude nor I sounded rude at all, if this is how they handle business I would not recommend it. read more

Order Template: Miso soup Sake nigiri Cali roll (real crab if possible) Hamachi Maki Dragon roll Open slot for special/recommendation Criteria: Food of course Service Friendly to kids Price Miso was good, sake was amazing, hamachi was good. Cali roll was very fake. I wish they had real crab would bump it up to five stars. Good service and good with kids. read more

Bluefin is such a cute spot in a quiet little area of Alameda. The parking lot is small and shared but thankful that one exists nonetheless. I dig the vibe in the restaurant, perfect for small get togethers. I have only ordered for pickup so far. My basic self always opts for a tempura app and a lion king roll. The roll was small in size. I've been served rolls with large amounts of rice which I do not like, so I was satisfied with the portion of this one roll. It seemed over baked because there were parts of the topped salmon slightly crunchy and burnt, but it wasn't horrible. The tempura was okay. I liked the breading, although it was a little much. I was given two large pieces of carrots, two huge onions, two shrimp, two broccoli and one squash. I personally did not like the carrots, and would have preferred sweet potato instead. The carrots still had a somewhat hard crunch to them which I did not enjoy. The onions were thick in batter and had more than one layer in each ring I received so it was just extra. Same with the broccoli. I always love tempura squash and that was perfect. The shrimp was also tasty as well. Overall, considering I had this meal to-go, I still quite enjoyed the food. I would want to try again and maybe dine-in for a better experience. read more
