So I came in last week to get my boyfriends PS3 fixed (it wasn't reading discs) and had the best experience! I showed up 30 minutes before closing time and was taken care of asap, without attitude because of how late I came which was nice. $20 bucks to inspect it to see whats wrong with it and I got it back the next day working perfectly. (I probably could have gotten it same day of I had came in earlier) Ran me $75 bucks total, including the original $20 inspection fee (So i technically got it fixed for $55). I also got a couple cables that I needed to go with the console at a super low price! I even showed him the cables I bought from game stop and he said "WHYYYYYY"lol. (I ended up returning the cables to game stop lol). I left in such a great mood and I never felt like I was getting overcharged or ridiculed because I'm a girl and didn't know exactly what I'm talking about when it came to the PS3 lol. Got quoted from other places for 100-150$. Long story short I called him 4th of July day. He was open! Said come by as soon as I came in he knew it was me who called and got right to the point. Said it would cost 60$ if he fixes the problem or no charge if he didn't. Said come back in a hour or less and I will have it fixed. I live maybe 20-30 mins away and right when I got home sat down he called me and said it was done. Very nice! My PS3 would not read Blu-ray or play games, but other discs played. I was told that the HD laser was out and was given ranges of $85 - $125 from various repair shops. Also the repair times of up to 2 weeks because of the special parts. The tech at VIDEOMEN had me squared away for $75 and called me to come pick it up 20 mins after dropping it off. Took my Wii here to be repaired. It would not play the disc inserted. I wanted to play some of my old games. The man working here fixed it the same day . Initially he said around a week cuz he had to order a part and it would be mailed to him. Later that same day he said he got the part locally and I could pick up later same day ! It was nice of him ! My ps3 got the ylod aprox 5 yrs after I bought it. After going online... It seemed like I had to send it to Sony to get a refurbished one for almost over $200. Nope. Found this place on yelp, called him, said he can fix it for cheap. And he wasn't kidding. Less then two hours before I dropped it off, guy called me saying it was working. Highly recommend place for anybody that has the same problem. EDIT: My PS3 got the YLOD again after high amounts of use time on netflix, videogames, and watching blu rays. 14 months after he fixed it, took it to him once again and got it working again!! Shopped around in the Valley area and this place is by far the least expensive and quickest turn around, I've ever experienced for something like this. My Nintendo 3DS L and R Triggers didn't function very well. I put up with it for a while, but limited me from playing most games that required them, such as Resident Evil: Revelations. Upon leaving my 3DS to be repaired, Ty took no more than 20 minutes to have the triggers working perfectly, I couldn't believe it! When my PS3's power supply was shot after a power outage, I thought I'd end up having to buy a "new" used one from Gamestop to keep playing my games because the first place I called quoted me more to fix it than I'd need just to buy one. Then I called Videomen, who was one of the few repair places open on a Sunday. I told him I needed him to look at the power supply for my PS3 slim, and he quoted me a fraction of the other guy. So I took it over to him, happy I could fix my PS3 with all my save data and my game disc in it. Since he had a fresh Power Supply unit on hand, he swapped it out then and there and had my PS3 running beautifully in mere minutes. When I saw he did iPhones too, I asked him what he'd charge to replace my busted LCD screen and again, he quoted me much less than what I had expected to pay! He also happened to have an iphone 5C screen on hand, and said he could have it done in half an hour! At this point I was already impressed, but then he offered to let me play my PS3 on the TV he had in the shop while I waited for him to fix my phone! So the time just flew! To top it all off, before he gave me back my electronics he cleaned them both, made sure everything was in proper working order, and made sure I had his card so that I could contact him in case anything went wrong with his repairs. I felt like I was walking out of his shop with a new PS3 and a new iPhone. I am so glad I made my way there today instead of throwing tons of money I don't have at someone ready to overcharge me. In all, Videomen is one of those easy to miss Golden Nuggets you typically wouldn't look twice at. I came here after reading all the great reviews and was very disappointed by the terrible Service. This owner told me he warranties all his work, after coming back 3 times in a month to fix my PS3 overheating issues, i demanded my money back so i can just buy a new unit. He kept telling me he guarantees his works and cannot refund me because he already fixed it. I told him if this unit is fixed, then why did i come back 3 times , he said he already put in his time and labor. I said what about my time , my gas, and my labor just to get to his lousy shop and wait an hour just to come back again next week. Shady Bait and Switch owner. My son called for estimates on the phone to fix his PS3. I thought the price was decent compared to the other shops. I showed up after work a few days later and he gives me a completely different price. When i confront him about it, he changes his story saying it was a special but i had to come in that same day.. Apparently, they charge you different prices depending on whether you are a walk-In customer or not. I was in my work attire so he figure since i am female i would not know better. This story gets worse, So with great relunctance, i bite my tongue and agreed to get my PS3 fixed since my son really wanted it for the holidays. He was able to fix it, i take it home & surprise my son on thanksgiving. My son was so excited, he immediately turns it on & plays it for literally 5 minutes and the PS3 shuts down again. Videomen is amazing! Last night I had full cup of soda spill onto my Xbox one Elite, and I thought I was screwed and had to buy a whole new console. I searched for a repair place and found Videomen. I went to the store and explained what happened and he suggest he can open it up and see what he can do. After inspecting he said he could try to clean and see if it fixes it but mostly like the motherboard would be toast. I replied with just replacing the motherboard and asked the cost. He quoted me for the part and labor, which I thought was a great price. I agreed and 1.5 hrs later he called me to say it was repaired and working. He even cleaned out the console for me.
