The video only team was able to chase me out in a matter of minutes! We have been TV shopping for a few days and decided to see what they had. We know what we want, and what we can spend, but just wanted to look. I made one quick trip down an isle before a pushy little man started questioning me. I let him know we just wanted to look and dismissed him. He quickly pursued, and asked what we wanted to spend, again we dismissed him saying were not sure, we just wanna have a look around. We got 5 more steps before being asked "Do you know what size you are looking for?" we dismissed him a couple more times and tried to be polite and just take a look through the store but we can see he wont let us just look so I stop and engage. I let him know we aren't sure yet, we just wanted to do some looking around and see what is out there. Then he gets rude and says well it sounds like you aren't serious at all........YES, that is what you should take from this and leave us alone! Apparently they should just swipe you CC at the door because they don't like people who shop. They like to tell you what they want you to think instead letting you make an educated decision I guess. I absolutely loathe stores like this and sharky salesmen. If the ghetto run down store didn't convince me, this little salesman did and we wont be back! read more

NEVER AGAIN! No customer service, at all. Once the sale is made, you are quickly forgotten and put into their 'pest' coljumn. The Beaverton, Oregon store is dirty, shoddy, very messy, and the sales personnel are obvously ex used car salesmen. It seems as if it is easier for them to leave things out or just plain "LIE" about everything. Also, a bunch of fast talkers. We were in the market for a 55" LG OLED TV and a 32" LG TV. We talked to the Beaverton store manager, Ryan, by phone and followed that up with a store visit. We asked for Ryan who met with us immediatly. He showed us the TVs and was very knowledgable in answering our questions and demonstrating the TV. He never tried to upsell us. He put together a very attractive deal and scheduled a deliver y for the next day that included installation and removal of our old TVs. The delivery, installation, and removal were flawless. After researching and pricing TV's online for quite some time I finally decided to get an upgrade. After looking at several of the big box stores I wasn't impressed with the pricing (let alone the lack of any knowledgeable sales associates) compared to what I had seen online. As a last stop I checked out Video Only after a friend recommended them to me. First thing that impressed me is that Jared, the salesperson that helped me, knew pretty much everything about each TV I wanted to look at. After researching for so long I was growing annoyed of sales associates who worked with TV's all day long and knew less about them then what I had found on the internet. He knew his stuff inside and out. I was hung up between two TV's and couldn't decide. He went over all the advantages and disadvantages of each and I was able to make a choice. i never felt pushed towards a more expensive option, and for the first time found a salesperson helpful in making the decision on what to buy. I would highly recommend this store, they had all the TV's I had been shopping, cheaper prices, and knew them in and out. Next time I need an upgrade this will be my first stop. read more

Video Only is a great store as long as you understand the return policy, and are sure of what you want to buy. That said, my experience is that they are willing to negotiate a great price for tvs and audio equipment. My last transaction they gave me a great deal on a LG 3d tv. Then, when Fry's put the tv on a lower price during a sale within 30 days after I bought it at Video Only, the VO Mgr., Cyle, gave me a credit for the price difference. Absolutely the best retail electronics store to purchase a TV and related items. Tom Doherty was my salesperson. I purchased my first 36"HD TV 16 years ago when HD first came out in 2000. Still watching that HD set today . I just purchased my 4th HDTV in 16 years from Video Only (a 55" this time) the Tues before Black Friday @ Black Friday pricing. I have been a purchasing agent my entire career, so I can't make a purchasing decision (a blessing and a curse) until I am certain that I receive the best price and value available. That means always checking out three or four competitors on major purchases like an HD TV. Video Only beat everyone's price including Costco and other large electronic retailers. We had excellent service at Video only. We found a 42" that had better features for less than the one 'on sale' at Best Buy. The salesman was knowledgeable & low key. We didn't feel pressured to buy anything which was appreciated. Video Only offered free delivery/set up and only charged $20 to remove the old TV. They ended up helping us decide on a Samsung smart TV. They also referred us to a technician that helped us install it. The delivery was prompt and the technician installed it perfectly. Best TV/electronics buying experience!! I've been meaning to write a review for these guys for a few weeks now. Sorry if this review seems a bit long, but I have so many good things to say. About Mid-August i was in need of a new TV. I spent a few days online re-searching new HDTVs and finally narrowed down to the brand, size and model I wanted. Other common sites like Best Buy & Amazon said my model was not currently in stock but usually shipped in 1-2 months! I read some good reviews about Video Only on Canyon Rd, so one Saturday afternoon I decided to swing by to see if by chance, they had the model & size I was interested in so I could check it out a little closer as well as compare w/ a few other TVs. I wasn't actually expecting them to have it in stock. Shortly after walking in, Jeff came up and introduced himself. I told him what I thought I was looking for, and to my surprise, he walked me over to where they had one on display and I also noticed they had 2 or 3 new ones boxed up in stock on the store's floor as well!! One thing you'll notice right away w/ this store, is that they have a very wide selection and they seem to be well-stocked, even with latest models. Jeff was super nice. He was very friendly, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, took time to listen to all of my questions, and also took time to answer all of them as well. He also gave me space & time to think, look at some other nearby screens, and was not pushy in any way. I really appreciated his patience w/ me. While i was in the store, I also decided to look into a new stand and Jeff also guided me to a few different options within my price range. Jeff also helped me figure out what additional cables I'd need. Once decided, Jeff then said let me see what we can do on prices. When he returned, I was very pleasantly surprised again. The price he offered for everything, was significantly cheaper than anywhere else I'd seen, especially on the TV and the stand. I was sold right there and then. He said everything could be deilvered and set-up the next day (Sunday) if I wanted. I had other plans so I actually arranged for the delivery and set up later in the upcoming week. I was again surprised they could deliver & set up so soon after purchase. When the delivery guys came on the agreed on date, they were also very nice and were in and out in a very timely and efficient manner. The next week, I also decided to pick up a new blu-ray player. Again, they had in stock the one I wanted, and Jeff also gave me a really good price on that as well. When I went to pick it up, Jared helped me out this time, and he was also super nice, very friendly, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, took time to listen to all of my questions, and also took time to answer all of them as well. I've been back to the store a couple other times again, just w/ some follow-up questions. I've asked for either Jeff or Jared when I've gone in, and both, on separate occasions, have always taken some time to patiently and knowledgeably answer my gazillion questions. Always friendly & courteous. I was enjoying my new TV so much, I even decided to exhange it for the next size up (went from 55" to 60") since i was within the 30-day exchange period. And that exchange & re-delivery was also very easily facilitated by Jeff. Great price on the 60" as well. I've already been telling a few of my friends to check this place out whenever they are in the market for a new TV or related accessories. Video Only will definitely be the place I return to whenever I'm in the market for something again!! read more

I wouldn't recommend at all. Was told they had the best prices, but found them about par with other dealers. Staff was rude and when asked why they had no disabled parking or curb cut out was told that it wasn't their problem that they just rented the place. read more

I saw an ad for a blue-ray player for $59 and went to the store to check it out. Salesman told me that they were all out of that model and they were display models only and they only had a couple to begin with. The ad in the paper never mentioned limited quantities or "Open box" units. That is my first complaint. Bought the newer model for $79 and after playing two DVD's it froze up and would not respond to any commands. Brought it back to the store within three days for a refund and the sales clerk says they will only do an exchange or store credit. Their return policy clearly states that "that for any reason you are unhappy with the equipment you purchase from Video Only, you may return it for a full refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase. Units must be factory sealed." So the catch is the "factory sealed" qualifier at the end. How do you know if you are satisfied with the product unless you open the box? I know of very few if any other merchants that will not refund your money for a defective product. I had already bought another blue-ray player from Best Buy so I did not need another player. After arguing with the clerk for a long time I was forced to exchange the defective unit for another and drive back to Best Buy and return the unit I had bought from them and hour ago for a full cash refund. Moral of the story: Don't do business with stores like Video Only with misleading ads and return polices. read more

Don't want to pick on this store, I dealt with the one at Jantzen Beach, didn't see it listed. All I can say about VO is if you shop there "you'll be sorry." Paid five grand for a Toshiba Plasma 42" TV several years ago. One month after the one year warranty expired it required a new $800 circuit board. Eight months after that, another $800 circuit board. The store said nothing they could or would do but offered to contact Toshiba. Don't know if they ever did, all my follow up calls were ignored. Drove to the store, talked directly to the manager. She said she would follow up, all my future calls were ignored, none returned. No more Toshiba products for me, no more Video Only. I'd rather pay more. Hope the economy eventually drives them into bankruptcy. All the things you're thinking I should have done? Yeah, did those too including contacting Toshiba directly. Bought an LCD TV, never a problem. Plasmas get too hot and burn out but VO pushes them as hard as they can. read more

Our ten year old Hitachi plasma died one night so the next day I had two destinations, Video Only and Fry's. Walked into VO and was greeted by Randy Baker. Randy listened to what I was after and proceeded to show me what was probably best for my budget and desires. Did not try to up sell, did not BS me either. When I inquired about the warranty there was no high pressure speil to purchase an extended plan, I really appreciated that. I purchased two Sony 4K televisions. Randy had the next day off so he gave me his personal cell number in case I had any problems or questions with the install. Next day the TV's were delivered by two enthusiastic and courteous guys (can't recall their names) they helped get the 65 inch up on the previous TV's bracket and explained and helped with the initial settings. About three weeks later I saw Best Buy had the same TV's for less, I took my receipt to Video Only and they refunded the difference to meet that price. They have a 30 day guaranteed low price! I had a great experience at this outlet, it's worth going in and looking. read more
