Vidao was great until they changed managers and employees. New employees are not skilled enough to provide services. I stopped going because I went for a wax service and the employee burned me. The first application wax was too hot and I told her. The second application she blew on the wax (unsanitary) and wax was still too hot. I came back the next day and the manager offered a $5 off voucher.

I went to get my eyebrows waxed, when I got home I had realized my skin was hurting more than usual and the lady actually ripped some skin off! I called the front desk to let them know, they said "thank you so much for letting us know, I'm so sorry this happened." AND THATS IT!!!! Didn't even try to offer any kind of redemption or even helpful tips of what to do. I signed in with their text thing and it asked me to leave a review so I did with pics. And no reply since. I'll never go back and I have told my friends in our area to not go.

I called Vidao nails to get a price on an acrylic full set, I was told by a male employee that the starting price for that service would start at $45. I called ahead of my arrival to make sure a technician was available and as a courtesy. Upon arrival I was told to check in, wash my hands and pick an acrylic powder shade. I washed my hands and headed over to the table with the powder colors, however before I was able to see any of the colors nonetheless choose one, a male technician asked what color I wanted so I told him "powder pink or a baby pink", he told me to follow him to his station so I was under the assumption that he would have someone bring a few powders around that shade range that I could choose from, that isn't at all what happened. Instead of allowing me to choose a color, he chose it for me, it was pretty although I wanted to see a few options. During the process of applying the tips I noticed one of them was crooked, when I asked for it to be fixed he got an attitude. Before my nails could even be drilled a receptionist walked over and asked the man doing my nails "how much??" He told her he wanted to charge me $60! I chose the most basic set other than length, no design, no special shape, not even glitter so I was extremely confused! The receptionist asked if I was ready to pay while I was still being worked on, how relaxing is that?! When my nails were finished I went up to the front desk to discuss the total. I asked how it was $15 over starting price, the male receptionist at the front told me it was for "shape and length"... I'm okay with paying $5-10 more for that but $15?? I told him there was absolutely no way I was paying $60 for a BASIC set considering the shape is square, which is a BASIC SHAPE! When the nail tech was asked about the $15 charge he said "that's for the length", so you're telling me that whole $15 charge is solely for length and this was never explained to me prior to my service??? Very unprofessional and unacceptable. I ended up paying $55 after the nail tech said he would bring it down to that price, which told me everything I needed to know, the salon apparently doesn't make their own prices, clearly the nail techs run the place, and they severely lack structure and customer service skills. Big NO for me, take your money elsewhere friends.

After seeing a doctor and dr removing my pretty toenail

Went for a pedicure for the first time in years, ended up with an infected hangnail . Never had this happened before. Had to have my nail removed. A year later and I'm still having issues with the SAME nail. Had to have it removed TWICE. Cute pedi and mani though.

Update: I got a call the same day after writing my review. I was apologized to for the experience I had and was offered to get my pedicure and polish redone. I was thankful that they were able to offer me these services again. I have gone for pedicures previous times and never had any problems until this last time, but I was able to go back in and it was definitely a better experience.

So I came here to try it out. They have some very good services. Service 9/10. Just the main person who handles scheduling & decides what customer goes where be breathing down the worker's neck, making the whole experience rushed. They literally made me pay & told me I was good to go... bro my toe nails were still WET. I parked kinda far, I couldn't just walk out with those disposable sandals.. I messed up my toe trying to put on the sandals I brought. There's places that usually help you put the sandals you brought but they could care less here. The guy who did my pedicure was pretty neat & nice. The gel or shellac is $20 extra here. There's other places that do it for $5 extra so ‍ & charge extra $5 if you have shellac to remove.

Yeah, won't be going there anymore. Got gel polish lasted 2 days. Went back and they fixed them for me just for them to last 2 more days. Waste of time and money. Super thick application and no primer. POS work.

Me,My Mom,Aunt,Grandma all got our nails done so cute,then they didn't check our nails to see if they were dry,next it was too cold in the building, and last the quality was horrible the seats were uncomfortable and dirty!!!! read more

I am in town for a funeral and wanted to get my nails done since I didn't have an opportunity to visit my normal nail artist for my normal gel x nails where I live, Anaheim, Ca. I have visited this location before. I've not had any issues. In my previous visits I selected colored power acrylic. This time I asked for gel X I was told the 4 gel x technicians were gone for the day, so I said give me the basic acrylic and whatever fingernail polish to place on the nails, I chose black. I was charged $55 for acrylic nails with gel black polish. This was done on Wednesday. It is now Friday. The gel polish is coming off. There are bubbles under several nails which I noticed on application day. I thought she didn't file the acrylic correctly, I do not have time to go back to get them fixed. I feel this should not have happened in the first place. I will no longer recommend this place to friends and family members in the area. Update: Five - Ten minutes after posting this review, I received a phone call to correct the situation for free. I appreciate the gesture, although as this is a visit to Houston, I do not have time to visit the location again for them to correct what should have been done correctly the first time. read more

Angel, the front desk clerk is a joke. We were told previously that we needed to make an appointment if we wanted to have our pedicures together. Today my daughter makes an appointment for three pedicures with the technicians of our choice. We arrive on time. After waiting 15 minutes we are told that one of the technician is not here. And after they sat me down, I was told that my technician wasn't here. How can this place allow you to make an appointment with a technician and the technician is not scheduled to work. But the worst part. Angel is the rudest person I have ever dealt with, not sure what her title is. But with an attitude like that she shouldn't be working with the public. Angel do the community a favor and go work as a garbage collector that job is more suitable for you and your bad attitude. read more

Very busy nail salon! There's a lot of powder tech here that can design acrylic nails really well! Piper did my set this time and it was great. They have a lot of color choices and design options. A lot of other nail salons in the area doesn't have as much selection for colors and designs. There's usually a wait but always worth the wait! read more

I come her for all my nail needs! The front desk is exceptionally welcoming and always follows up with my services. The staff is ever so friendly and patient with me bc I am particular and I appreciate that. The salon is clean which is necessary considering covid precautions etc. They also do waxing ; one stop shop! Thank you to the staff for always letting me leave satisfied I highly recommend coming here they do take walk in appointments as well. read more

Where do I begin? The pedicure was an absolute joke. After being burned by a hot towel during a pedicure (I had to ask the technician to step away from me), 3 of my natural nails being broken during the removal of the old dip (they had me remove the old dip with a paper towel), and replaced with tips I ended up with this flugliness. read more

This is my third time here and I am pleasantly surprised. One of the few decent, well put nail shops in the east side that isn't ridiculously over priced. Friendly, quick and affordable staff. Always go above and beyond to meet my wants,I think this will start being my go-to place. read more

It was my first time and I was not impressed for $140 bucks I still have scrub on my legs. My nails are not even. My mom had to file them. And then I could have done a better design. I won't be back! OVERPRICED and you don't get what you want! read more

This is my second time going and this time I took my boyfriend's mom and I absolutely love this place. I came in as a walk in and they took us in right away. It was So nice and we got exactly what we wanted. Cindy did french manicure tips on my boyfriend's mom and they looked like her natural nails! Lucy did amazing on my pedicure and made my broken big toe nail look natural with overlay. Ive had overlay done on my big toes at other places and it has never looked as natural and as thin as her work. John did my full set and took his time making sure i liked my short length and did amazing shaping and always asking to check. I have been looking for my go-to nail salon and I have found it here at Vidao! read more

I used to go here a ton when I lived in the area. The ladies were always very friendly and got the job done with no issues. I came by yesterday because I was visiting my parents and wanted to get my nails done and my usual spot is on the other side of town. Full set, with gel color. I came in and waited for a good while actually before I got sat in the nail station. No biggie though, I just understand how this works and I understand these ladies stay late every day to finish all their customers. They were letting people come in at 6:45 even when they closed at 7pm. Crazy. Tina did my nails and they look great. She was quick and I was out of there as soon as possible. read more

I visited Vidao Nails for my appointment today. prior to scheduling I explained in detail what I wanted over the phone. Upon my arrival a lady with short hair told me to sit and show her what I wanted, when I showed her she immediately said she didn't have time for these nails because she had an appointment, mind you I was also an appointment, but i guess just not hers. Another lady told me to sit in her booth and show her what I wanted, when I showed her I was told that they could NOT do the design that I wanted. Which is really basic and not complicated AT ALL! ( black on top, red on the bottom) I've visited this location before and won't be coming back for this was very unprofessional because I had scheduled my appointment two weeks before. read more

I went in for a shellac manicure on December 4th and now a month later my nails still look just as good... they're just grown out of course. I've never had a shellac manicure that didn't chip until I came here. I will be coming here from now on. It's only $35 and you can't beat that, when it last an entire month. read more

I have been going to Vidao for approximately 20 years. I like all the technicians but there are a couple of them that I go to more than others because they know what I like. The salon is clean and comfortable. Prices are very reasonable for manis, pedis, eyebrows, facials, and massages. I have had all of them done. My husband has had manis, pedis, and massages done. Gift certificates from this salon are some of our favorite gifts to each other. My mother has also come to love this place, as she gets gifts certificates from there also. She comes all the way from Huntsville to be pampered. Please make an appointment and try to be flexible. They can get very busy, but it is worth a wait. read more

Unless someone has recommended a specific nail technician THAT IS GOOD HERE please do not risk going here. I usually go here bc it's the closest nail place close to my house and I try to give them the benefit of the doubt EVERYTIME. Simply bc I've gone to other nail shops close to mine and it's gone worse. I've gotten my toes and nails done here and it's always something. I don't mind paying a lot of money for QUALITY service & QUALITY work. But they over charge for the bare minimum. I've been going to Vidao Nails for over 15 years. During that time, they've expanded the salon size twice. They offer everything from your basic mani pedi to spoil me rotten mani pedis. They also provide facials, waxing and massages. The quality of the work I've received from day one to just this past weekend far exceeds the quality of other salons I've been to in the Galleria/Post Oak area. With the most recent expansion, the wait times are not long at all if there even is one and the customer care they provide is above and beyond. I'd recommend Vidao Nails to anyone!!!! This is my go-to place!! I come almost every 3 to 4 weeks for a manicure and a pedicure, and they never disappoint! Jacey does an AMAZING job, and is awesome at nail designs. I gave her creative liberty for my fun Halloween set, and I absolutely LOVE THEM!!
