Rain or shine this is where you have to come and enjoy authentic Mexican treats and homemade ice cream/popsicles! Stopped in on a rainy night and it was very busy. A paleteria I can get behind because of my love for Hispanic ice cream and desserts! This was a lengthy 30 min drive of full anticipation and dead set on a mangonada that I haven't had in a few years! For the duo, we shared a magonada, Oreo churros, and a strawberry popsicle (non-dairy). The Mangonada is for those who wants a flavor bomb in their mouths; the freshly sliced mangos, the sprinkle of tajin, the mango sorbet, the tamarind on a stick. Delicious! Now, the Oreo churros weren't a let down. In fact, it was a let down because we shared and wasn't being greedy about it! They give you whipped cream, caramel sauce, and chocolate sauce to dip in. The center of the churro would make your mouth MELT. The strawberry popsicle is pretty basic to me, and basic is all that you really need with fruit flavored popsicles Bottom line: with an endless menu of things I've probably never had before, it's a good spot to dive into the deep end and try something you haven't before! I expect my opinion to be the unpopular one here, but I accept it. I went with my husband on a Sunday evening around 8:45pm. Had a huge craving for ice cream and had been wanting to try this shop for awhile. It was insanely busy (which to me is a good sign), to the point where the workers seemed a bit overwhelmed and didn't know who to help. No one offered any guidance or asked if they could help us, so I asked one of the girls at a side counter where we should order. She responded, "Anywhere." Ok then. I sampled a couple of flavors and wasn't crazy about any of them because they were so, so sweet. I was hoping for indulgent, rich ice cream, not blinding sugary tooth pain. Still, I ordered a scoop of coconut in a waffle cone and attempted to eat the whole thing (which around 3am proved to be a terrible, awful decision, but that's a story for another time). My husband ordered the churro split. Now, he's from San Diego and churros are his favorite dessert, hands down. These churros were stuffed with what I guess was a dulce de leche sauce which only added to the sugar bomb overload. He got brownie, oreo, and mint ice cream to go in the split. I tried a little of each and same thing - super sweet. The mint tasted strong and fake...almost like a weird version of stevia mixed with peppermint oil. He didn't come close to finishing it. Unfortunately, we simply did not enjoy their offerings. And for $11 for a single scoop cone and a split, it absolutely isn't worth returning. read more

Staff is always super nice and they have so many yummy things to pick from. Street corn in a cup tasted like canned corn and just the glob of mayo was unappetizing but that is all we have had they we didn't really enjoy. I like that they have a punch card loyalty program but it is one punch per visit instead of based on how much you get. I always get at least 5 things each time I go and more than one punch would be nice. Menu is a bit confusing and all over the place and I always see people eating things that I have no idea what they are but I would like to try them if I knew how to order. The popsicles are really worth the trip there. read more

Deliciousness! Stumble upon this place while looking for something sweet and was amazed by the variety of things they sell and the freshness of their products. I knew we wouldn't be able to finish the Tropical fruit platter ,but we were definitely gonna try. They cut half a watermelon,and add mangoes, cucumbers, strawberries, oranges, grapes and I believe it was pieces of Chayote. Then they topped it with sour candy strips, a sour stick, a sweet syrup and tajin. Definitely a great snack at an awesome price. We also had their water base Popsicle's and they were very refreshing . They offer a large variety of options of ice creams, natural waters, juices, sweets and snacks. From churros, to elotes. Sensory and palate overload! This place is delicious! What a sweet (pun intended) way to spread Mexican culture The options are overwhelming. They do a phenomenal job of showing you what's what as well with flickering pictures on many screens! Note: they have both desserts AND savory snacks including elotes, hot dogs, loaded fries, etc so the name doesn't do their variety justice You can pick from paletas, ice cream, rolled ice cream, churros, fruit cups/massive fruit bouquets... and even a combination of some of these in the form of floats! They have a few different lines to order these so even if the line is out the door, they move relatively fast! They do a really great mangonada which is mango bits and ice cream with a spicy sauce! And other fruit versions of this, too. Paletas are all delicious and fresh made! In the churro float, you can pick 3 different ice cream flavors and your choice of toppings! This was my second visit to Vida Dulce and I enjoyed it just as much as my first visit. Because I like what I like and there are so many options, I had almost the same thing I had the first time, the cucumber pineapple drink and 2 scoops of freshly made ice cream, coconut and brownie with chopped pecans on top. I enjoyed my visit with a few friends and two of them hadn't been before and they loved it. One got a banana split, which was 3 scoops of ice cream, any flavor, a split banana and any topping you'd like!! One of my other friends enjoyed the rolled ice cream taco, which you can customize however you want. It's pretty and was very tasty! If you're ever in the area and love dessert, snacks and Hispanic specialties, like Street Corn, Vida Dulce is your place. Such a cute ice cream/dessert shop. Located in a small shopping strip that includes international shops.They have so many options for dessert some light and healthy and some large enough to share. Everything is made to order so it comes you fresh and hot with topi great variety. We for the churro funnel cake with vanilla ice cream and caramel and did not disappoint. Very good ice cream, thoroughly clean store, and super nice customer service. I had the banana and strawberry ice cream bar and it was amazing! You can really taste the strawberries and banana in every bite! My husband had the Crazy Pineapple or Piña Loca and honestly I had to help him eat it after I finished my ice cream! The Crazy Pineapple tastes really good, its made with many fruits so every bite is amazing! The fruits honestly go so well with each other! It is a lovely healthy snack! Mangonadas!!!!!!! Absolutely the best! It reminded me of my visit to Mexico so it definitely gives you the authentic vibe. This is one of the most magnificent establishments in the Triangle. The staff were super friendly and patient with us as we struggled to choose between the many delicious looking options. The menu is posted in both English and Spanish and they have tons of unique desserts and snacks. As a group of three we decided to share two desserts and there was more than enough to go around. First, the Cheesecake Burrito... oh my God I may have died and gone to heaven, it was so good. The cheesecake was perfect light but dense, not to sweet. Carefully wrapped in a not too thick wrapping friend with tons of cinnamon sugar, it was amazing and perfectly complimented with a cake batter ice cream. We also tried the churro split. More delicious cinnamon, I was worried about the churros being prepared maybe being a bit too cold or chewy, but they were delicious. In the split we tried Ferrero (my new favorite ice cream!), Oreo (also amazing), and BlackBerry Cheese (which was more of a sorbet with some ice cream and good but not right for the split). Visiting from San Diego, CA with my family and decided to try this spot out for dessert. The three of us shared the Cheesecake Burrito with vanilla ice cream, a Churro Split (Strawberry butter, tiramisu and cotton candy ice creams) and chocolate covered strawberries. Of all the items the cheesecake burrito and vanilla ice cream was our favorite. The vanilla ice cream here is actually pretty fantastic! We always have an eye out for delicious frozen treats and after seeing Vida Dulce's takeover of Yelp NC Triangle's Instagram account for the day, we knew we had to go check it out! The only problem I had at Vida Dulce was that there were so many amazing options and it was super hard to decide what to order! One second I wanted one of their signature popsicles, but then the next second I was contemplating the cheesecake burrito or one of the gorgeous fruit cups. We eventually decided to order the churro split, because... well churros AND ice cream! And we also liked that you got to try 3 different ice cream flavors with the split. We ordered the churro split with the Pina Colada, Brownie, and Forrero flavors. Of the three my favorite was probably the Forrero. But all three were really smooth, creamy and just downright delicious. Another thing that I really loved was that they made the churros to order and everyone knows that anything fried is best when served immediately. Everyone here was so friendly and also patient while we struggled to make up our minds! We had an excellent experience here and will hands down be visiting again and again! My boyfriend and I go a lot to this location and we love it the deserts are amazing we get like 5 items for the two of us to share it's a 30 minute drive from chapel hill but worth it. Amazing dessert place near Cary downtown. One of my friends is (nearly) obsessed with the popsicles they have here and come very often. I finally came with her and another friend and started coming myself as well. They really have good popsicles (decent price as well). They also have good ice cream. They even have authentic churros! I knew I had to visit Vida Dulce as soon as I saw that they opened up and posted some pretty compelling photos on their IG. The location itself is a place that you probably wouldn't just run into because it's tucked away in a plaza in east Cary. But it's a trip worth taking. There is plenty of parking and the shop itself is spacious, though it could use more tables. I went in with the intention of taking photos for Yelp and ordered the prettiest looking popsicles they had (mixed fruit, kiwi and watermelon). I didn't get to try the watermelon because my mom dropped it while taking the photo but I was sooooo impressed with the flavors for the other two. I think for a hot day, these popsicles are so worth it because of how tasty and refreshing they were. And the pricing is not bad at all! I believe I paid $8 and some change for three popsicles which I think is fair. I have to go back to try the ice cream and agua frescas but I'm so happy to have this place be a part of the community. read more

We order strawberry&creme popsicle and vanilla ice cream with a waffle cone. The popsicle was light and creamy and the vanilla ice cream is the best we've had in the triangle area. The only downside was the waffle cone, too airy and sweet. We'll come back next time to try new items. read more

I was so excited to hear about a Mexican ice cream store opening in Cary! Vida Dulce has a great selection of drinks, ice cream, popsicles, snacks, and even rolled ice cream tacos. I got the pistachio popsicle and my friend tried the mixed fruit. Both were beautiful and refreshing! Can't wait to come back and try other flavors. read more

An excellent and necessary addition to the triangle. Vida Dulce has some of the best Mexican-inspired ice creams and popsicles. Have you ever tried Tamarind-flavored ice-cream? Here you can try that and even more innovative flavors you won't find anywhere else. My favorite has to be the Curdled Milk and Tres Leches flavored popsicles. They also have rolled ice creams, churro splits and other fruity creations - all in all, plenty to choose from and more reason to go back and try something new each time. I'm very sad and conflicted about posting this review. Because I've come back here a few times and each time the ice cream has been AMAZING. BUT..... everytime I've come back, (which I always do come back because honestly the ice cream is really good) it's been noticed that each time at least one staff member is not doing a good job keeping things sanitary. The first time I came with my mother in law over memorial day weekend. And they were SLAMMED. So I dismissed it and was like yeah that's gross but whatever, I'm hungry and it looks good, versus my mother in law was like nope. But it was a younger staff member that was doing the rolled ice cream. And she kept using the same wet dirty rag over and over again on the area where you do the rolled ice cream. That's it. A wet dirty rag. I skipped the rolled ice cream and was like I'll just get there churro scoops and avoid that lol. There were other times I went in there with people and someone pointed out that someone should really have been wearing gloves when they touched their ice cream. The other times it was someone else noticing that they spotted a worker doing something really unsanitary that I won't put on here since I did not see it myself, but it seems to me like an easy fix would be to wash hands after touching objects including phones, noses, etc. Today, we noticed someone go to the trash, press down on it, and come back, and did NOT wash their hands. Or put gloves on. It's a bunch of little stuff like that right. But when you notice that every time you come in, I feel like that's a sign that the staff isn't understanding how to do things in a cleaner, more sanitary way. The food is still amazing. Unfortunately the friend I took there today won't ever be back after she saw that, and my husband made it worse by telling her other things we've seen and dismissed and she was like why'd you take me here then lol. Because the ice cream is delicious, the menu has something for literally everybody, and I feel like the select actions of a few people don't represent the place itself. I think it'll be a while before I go back after today though which makes me sad, because I feel like if I go back again and see something, I won't be back which sucks because it's so good, but that's just not worth it anymore. I'm hoping when I do go back the next time, it'll be better, because the quality of the food is really good. I've talked to the owner a few times and he really is the sweetest man, so happy and friendly, so I really want this place to succeed and it gives me hope seeing all these 5 star reports on this place that maybe I just have the worst possible luck coming at these moments. read more

We absolutely love coming here, the fun upbeat atmosphere with plenty of options from delicious creamy ice creams to fruit and snack. Heck, i would live here if I could ;) they offer an array of ice creams which you can taste before getting, all kinds of Mexican goodies, dulce tamarindo, smoothies, ice, nachos, the whole nine yards. Pricing is Uber affordable for the quality and competition in the area. A unique feature is the rolled ice cream live station. Here is the breakdown of options (I asked them how it worked because the pricing wasn't written on the station) Rolled ice cream: $7.99 which includes all steps in the following order: pick a taco or bowl, pick a base (chocolate or vanilla), mix in- array of varieties like KitKat, fruit pebbles, pineapple, etc. add toppings (nuts, sprinkles, chocolate chips, cereal, etc). All your mix ins and toppings are included in the rolled ice cream price. There's no upcharge for what you top with. The portion size is huge! All scoops of ice creams come with listed flat pricing and toppings come as a 50 cent price per topping. This place has sooo many good options that you will have a hard time choosing one. The best part was Dairy based and non-diary options to accommodate everyone's preference. I tried the Oreo Popsicle and it was fantastic. It tasted homemade and very different from the normal packaged ice creams. I would definitely go back and try other things at this place. Simply amazing! We have found out newest dessert shop. My daughter has the mango slushie and I had a mixed fruit cup. They were both super fresh and delicious. We can't wait to go back!!
