There are tvs everywhere and a big screen in the outdoor patio area making this the perfect spot for Sunday football or grabbing an astros game. The staff: Super welcoming and helpful. Quick to keep the space clean but not in a rush you out the door kind of way. The food: The brisket was delicious, both moist and tender! I paired it with the barbecue sauce and it gave it a nice little kick. The ribs were seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. They had just the right amount of tenderness for this style of ribs. The wings were nice and smoky. I personally prefer a little bit more spicy/vinegary buffalo sauce but I still really enjoyed them and would def order these again. The Mac and cheese lasagna was extremely cheesy and reminded me of a southwestern style dish. Very hearty and filling. Not really my fav cuisine type, but I would highly recommend trying it if you love cheesy pasta dishes. The elote en vaso was amazing! The seasoning and garnishing were excellent and you could've easily fooled me into thinking this came from Mexico. I did not try the slaw but my partner said it was crunchy, light and had a yummy sweetish flavor. I really enjoyed everything and I can't wait to have my 2nd dinner (leftovers ). It's located in the former East End Backyard location, and they revamped the place by enclosing the front part, adding AC, a deck, and container building. When you first walk in (coming in from Sampson), you can hang a right for the bar or go left to enter the barbecue area. (You can still order drinks from the barbecue counter). I heard about East End Barbecue from my gf who dined there with her boyfriend. They got The Works plate ($32)--brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sausage, beans, potato salad--and she insisted two adults could eat a filling meal from it. So that's what my beau ordered and had plenty leftovers to take home. As a non-red meat eater, I was pleased that they have turkey, chicken, and smoked wings on the menu. I ordered the wings--pastor and Eastbound gold. This'll be my new go-to spot for wings because it's hard to find non-fried wings. They kept all the patio areas in the front and back, the dog park, jumbotron screen... love the thoughtful touches of hand sani stations, water, fly fans, and dog poo bags... When the weather finally cools off, this will be a great day for patio drinks and eats.

One note to point out: if you follow Chicano BBQ on Instagram, apparently that's the best place to find out their location. We went to the address listed, and they were definitely not there. So I went to their latest IG stories, and while they posted that they were out and about, there was no address listed. So I called and found out that they were less than half a mile away from where we were. Crisis averted. We walked up to the food stand (not food truck) located in the courtyard of a restaurant and promptly ordered 2 smash burgers. A few minutes later we were told, "sorry, we don't have anymore burgers." My soul was crushed, but I was at least happy to try the Brisket Torta Croissant. Plus, the owner sent me a voucher via text that I can have two burgers on the house next time. The good news: the torta was absolutely awesome. As was my wife's brisket sandwich. As was the elote. I do not have a single note. We are an hour away from this place, but I would love to take them up on those burger vouchers in the future if I have the opportunity.

Lots of people were coming in for beer and many for the BBQ too. We got the Chicano sampler plate with ribs, brisket, turkey, the jalapeño poppers, and a side of plain elote. Wow! It was sooooo delicious! I might opt for the lean brisket next time but we were super pleased. Also, the crew was so nice! Once I got home, I added pickles and onions and poured on some of their beef sauce. It was outstanding and made for a very good meal. I strongly encourage anyone who enjoys barbecue to stop in and give them a try. This is a food truck, but they do have outdoor seating available. There is also another food truck next to it serving Mexican food. I made it out of there for $16.24, which seems to be about average pricing for a barbecue sandwich and two sides.
