I went in yesterday for lunch. It was excellent. The owner Cobo is so nice. The ambience is great. The service was great. I had the slider brisket sandwiches. Excellent. The wings were cooked to perfection. The french fries were nice and hot. Good proximity to Shell Stadium. The brisket slides were very mediocre. I'd skip them. The boudin mac & brisket quesadilla was excellent though. The big issue was that their in-person prices were 20% higher than what their menu showed online which is pretty unacceptable. We wouldn't have come here had we known about the increase. read more

Good food and the service was helpful. Not someplace I would go on a date to but a fun meetup location with friends or a quick bite.

Music was a little loud from DJ (great music though) but hey it's a place to have fun and a lot of people pregame before baseball games. It's a very fun space with food trucks outside that have a nice variety. Outside seating and inside available. The day we went no bartenders were there so we did have to wait longer than normal BUT the people who were there made it happen, I can only imagine how stressful. The chips and salsa were OMG YUM! Salsa was spicy but not terrible, so much flavor. The brisket sliders were also very tasty and the seasoned fries were so good!!!! Would definitely come back! read more

We came here while in town for the College National Championship game. This place is a fun time. Seating is ample both inside and out, and they have outdoor games available. Music and vibes are 5/5! I ordered the birria tacos with a side of mac, and my friend got the brisket sliders. Both were really tasty, but the brisket sliders were the way to go. The mac was alright - kinda of a mushy texture all around. Service was quick. We ordered at the counter, and our food was ready in about 5 minutes. read more

This is a really neat place tucked into EADO in an amazing location. The best part about it is the real neighborhood bar feel, local ownership and strong customer loyalty especially among Astros and Dynamo fans. I've been a couple of times, it seems as if the popularity varies from near overrun and packed to near empty. The former whenever there are big Astros games (or Dynamo) people flock here for games. It has a great small town sports bar feel where you're watching your team with friends and HUGE TVs and a bunch of them. The latter when I came by off hours, once it was closed for a catering event (I think it was) another visit my group was one of two groups in there. Fine, small place that's not crowded (although it was a Saturday with football and playoff baseball just not the Astros). Heck, I find this more attractive sometimes. When packed, the kitchen was backed up and service struggled. This time, we could get any game turned on we wanted (and weren't looking for a bunch of packed action). Probably the best plus is the food. Creative, craft menu. Limited options (like a food truck) but all look good and everything I've tried and my friends tried were amazing. Items will vary and prices are reasonable for top notch food. Beer menu is cans (can't remember if bottle) of both local and national brands. A bit limited if comparing to other options in the area but you can find something you want. Drafts would be a big upgrade but I know that comes with overhead maintenance. Just say, if you're a beer snob, may not be the place for you. Space is great. Big tall tables inside, space to stand. Decent size bar but can get overwhelmed when crowded (one data point). Outside (weather permitting) is underrated. Upside, big picnic tables, some corn hole and other space for kids to run around. Downside if you're there to watch games, maybe one TV up by the building. Definitely will continue to come here for what they do well (big fandom, lots of TVs, good food). read more

Bar food who ? Honestly blown away with the quality, no fatty brisket and no shyness of cheese - the quesadilla was damn good. If I had to complain it was a little hard to distinguish where exactly the place was, and once there, where even to order. Daytime ambience not the best but probably easier to navigate during later time hours (with more foot traffic as well). read more

Had the birria tacos. Comes with 3 to the order and the gravy it comes with has a BBQ/chipotle pepper hit in it. Solid tasting salsa verde on the side, but didn't add too much heat which is how I like it personally. The meat inside is flavorful and plastered together with cheese inside. May be a little on the expensive side, but it was also filling for a big boi like me. I usually like to get my tacos on the from a food truck in a parking lot instead of a brick and mortar. But, overall a fun experience. Inside there is a sports bar and chill kind of vibe with high tops to hang out at. And I really enjoyed the michelada I had. I think this would be a chill spot to hang out with a large group of people and would be conducive to visiting with friends. read more

I loved the Cobo's birria quesadillas more when it was a food truck. Something changed now that they are brick & mortar (I've been there twice; same result) The consome is now thick and quite salty whereas before it was a lighter delicious broth. The boudin macadillas are amazing and I can't wait to go back for more! Hoping they go back to the original lighter consome for the birria quesadillas soon. read more

We stopped in to get a drink and appetizer before an Astros game. We got the boudin mac-and-brisket quesadilla and it was really good and a perfect amount of food to split between 2 to hold us over. Off day or just average, not sure with just one visit. Didn't get the same spectacular tastes from the barria or macdillas that I have heard so much about. Customer service was awesome and made the daytime visit worth it. Food in the kitchen didn't seem timed properly as some items were hotter than others. Been wanting to try this place since they opened. Saturday wasn't the day though. I thought it would be better to try without the Astros in town when I bring the kiddo. Unfortunately, they do not have high chairs or anything for children. I got the sports bar vibe so that's understandable. The bartender didn't seem very happy we walked in anyways. Therefore, we decided to leave her with her other 2 customers and opt for something different. The bums are really aggressive in the area and the workers for the bar next door were smoking weed when we walked up. There is virtually no free parking in the area. I will update the review if I ever stop back in after a game or something when it is safer with more people around. The food looks really good in pictures. read more

One of the best finds in EaDo. Heck of a story and execution to get to the brick and mortar. Owner is fair and friendly, staff is great to talk to, service is pretty quick. The food is unique and true to the roots. Great Astros hangout spot, but good DJ/karaoke night here and there. This is a must if you're in Houston. read more
