We visited for dinner on a Saturday and the inside was packed. Thankfully, they have an enormous heated and covered patio with plenty of space for large groups. The staff were exceptionally warm and I didn't feel rushed while I decided on what I wanted to eat. I was pleasantly surprised by the NA selection on the menu, including a CBD mocktail, served in a mason jar that was crisp and not overly sweet. I also had the vegetarian "chicken" sandwich, which had a delicious spread and slaw on a very light baguette, and a side of fries with a spicy aioli. Even my meat-eater husband raved about it, and ended up eating half after claiming to not be hungry. We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu. read more

Just moved to the area about two months ago and love finding new spots where the staff makes you feel incredibly welcome. Felix was awesome and had good vibes from first walking in. Explained the whole spot, went through the menu. I came specifically to try the new Italian sandwiches on homemade schiacciata bread...just went to Italy again in march and have been craving these type of sandwiches since. Straight up on the food. Fries are insane - best I've had in a while Salad - meh. Didn't hit Sandwiches: Super delicious. Great taste. Great portions. I'm not sure if the drive (30ish mins) did it but the outside of the bread on each side wasn't as crispy as I've been accustomed to. I put it in a pan for 1 minute on each side and it was perfect. For the first day, this was a smashing success for me. Palate wise ...very happy. I came for the vegan brunch on a Sunday at around 9:45am. When I sat at the bar to order, the bartender asked me if I wanted mine vegan. I made the mistake of assuming everything on the brunch menu was vegan, but I guess it can be made vegan or not vegan. Good thing he asked me! David ordered the Humboldt Burrito and I ordered the Victoria Breakfast. Mine came with tofu scramble, vegan sausage, biscuits and gravy, and country potatoes. The biscuit and the gravy were both SO GOOD. The housemade sausage tasted like meat to me, so I didn't like it at all. (I've been vegan for 25 years so things that are too meaty are not for me.) Next time, I'll order the biscuit and gravy and the tofu scramble from the sides menu and skip the sausage and potatoes. I like how much outdoor seating they have because I was able to find a spot in the corner where my reactive doggo could sit without her anxiety being triggered (see my pics). The bathrooms were very clean, and the bartender was super nice. Finding street parking was easy. This place is great. Too bad they aren't 100% vegan, but I would for sure go back. read more

This is a must try brunch when you're in Portland! It's a quaint, hipster restaurant with upbeat yet rustic vibes. Must try's: - breakfast burrito (the hashbrowns were perfectly crispy, eggs were fluffy, the sauce was essential) - French toast (berries were incredible) and there was a thick slab of whole wheat bread that was crispy on the outside. I got the seasonal salad and while the presentation was nice, for $17 I guess I was expecting a little more. The salad was barely seasoned with like 5 edamame and a couple pistachios and about 5 small citrus segments. This salad did come with a sizable piece of burrata, but still kinda just felt like a pile of greens with mild cheese piled on top and overall flavorless and not really satisfying. We stop in every time we're in Portland. Being a vegan (with food sensitivities) and a non-drinker with dogs our options are limited (obviously), so to find a place like Victoria is pretty special. The service is always great. Friendly, present, genuine and welcoming. The dog policy "good dogs allowed inside, NO BARKING" saved us from the 100 degree heat outside. The NA cocktails are always beautiful, balanced and expertly crafted and the Vegan chicken and waffle was pure love. This local neighborhood spot has the best ambience in the evening, fast service, and delicious rotating selections for both food and drinks. I got the Lightning Bowl. The vegetables were cooked nice and firm and the tofu was perfectly crispy on the outside without being too dried out. The fried brussel sprouts were my favorite. I am not a bar person, I'm really not. Well, over the years I have been changed into a curmudgeon because it is not the bar but it's guests. As an example, I go to an event's night before meet and greet and have an amateur (seriously, it was 10pm girl slow down!) dump an entire glass of fresh poured Cabernet Sauv on me... She did compliment my outfit, which would have meant far more had she not just soiled it sending me home early needing a shower. With that said, my dear friend and I had a long day and were quite hungry. She named this, I had never heard of it before and drove us. She is a vegan and I am not but I love the options. While we were driving by I was mentally thinking about how annoying - someone seriously grabbed my princess parking spot right there sending us over a block away but, seriously, Saturday night. She has a walker though so having to walk in a busy street on a Saturday because the sidewalks are closed is a bit frightening - genuinely as ADA you have to watch the ground for things that will catch you or your device enough without having to also watch the street since the days of Portland being safe as a pedestrian are long gone. I was still a bit annoyed and seeing the front... whatever... Then we walked in... oh wait, what is this gorgeousness?!? Space...nice glorious open space with tables a plenty. Ample seating everywhere, booths, non booths... outdoors a plenty. The bar is lit with vintage and modern lighting that compliment each other fantastically. We sat down and perused the menu - looks like they are a great brunch spot for those who brunch! I ordered a cheeseburger with avocado, their parmesan herb fries and a side Caesar because I was starving. I just went with RC - long story short, we had a long mishap happening day and were there for food and blood sugar adjustments. My friend ordered their gorgeous looking mock pina collate which I was tempted to, especially after she said it was one of the tastiest things she had ever had. All of the food was pretty perfect and that cheeseburger...thank you for giving me a burger not dripping! Seriously, I rarely order a burger out of fear since so many places serve it as if it is also a drink! They can veganize nearly everything on the menu and watching those gorgeous cocktails go out - I plan to be back when I am not having to take pain pills from that kind of day. BUT, they have a glorious mock tail menu also! A final note - that music! I could write sonnets to the sweet bartender for his Joy Division heavy playlist - thank you fellow darkling! I needed that after a very long day. Me and my friend made some great musical discoveries too thanks to that amazing playlist. I ordered the skillet mac & cheese for dinner tonight and honestly I'm unsatisfied, only because they changed the recipe. They now include chopped up banana peppers, red bell peppers, and corn into it. I think it makes the dish taste completely different. I've gone to Victoria Bar occasionally over the past 2-ish years and most times I've gone there I usually get the skillet Mac & cheese, but this time I noticed they changed the recipe. 6 months ago I had ordered the same thing and it did not have the added chopped up peppers and corn in it. The deviled eggs were spot on and one of my favorite features was the adult vending machine. I purchased one of the mystery bags and it was full of fun, unique stuff. Fun place to come to if you're visiting. Would've given it 5 stars but the bartender was kind of a jerk. Can I just start with YO THE FRIES though! I dropped by with a friend for a quick drink on a weekday and gosh this place was PACKED. We were able to grab a table pretty easily so wohoo~ Technically, we weren't going to grab any food buuut who can resist fries and burrata?! Not me or my friend apparently l o l We loved the drink themes and each got a pretty delicious cocktail and absolutely went to town on the fries! The burrata was served with caponata and bread and we definitely enjoyed that as well. The interior is cute and cozy and you order at the bar, grab your number, and sit down for your food and drinks. Ozzy (named after the survivor icon, not the rockstar) is a really anxious pup who generally doesn't do very well in public- especially around food. But we were on our way back to Seattle and needed a place to eat that allowed dogs. Victoria was perfect. They have a really impressive bar, nice draft beer selections, creative cocktails, and an extensive menu with tons of vegan options. We opted for the vegan burger, plain fries, and the vegan Caesar salad. The burger was okay. They use a beyond patty with house seasonings and a few toppings. It certainly wasn't life changing, but not bad by any means. The fries were really really reeaaaally great. Crispy, thin, perfectly salted, and served with a sauce that reminded me of Thousand Island dressing. I loved the salad too. I usually like more dressing and more croutons than the average person. It had the perfect amount of dressing for me, and there were more than enough croutons. It also had whole roasted garlic cloves and toasted pepitas in it which was a nice surprise. I would not hesitate to recommend this place or to go back when we're in town. But I think we would probably try some different food. Great service. Clean place. Heated patio. read more
