Went here with some friends recently and had a decent time. The interior is pretty small, feels very cozy and staff were very nice and attentive. Food was served pretty quickly and coffee was always refilled. I got the Belgian waffle and it was okay. My friend got one of their lunch salads and the chicken in it was delicious, wish I got that!! One of my other friends tried the pancakes and liked them. Overall: decent brunch spot in Portland if you're not looking for anything fancy

All decent, good, not great, not bad

Elevated, but not overly foo-foo, breakfast fare. This new location is quaint with good service. I was tempted by the Breakfast Grilled Cheese then re-read my review from their Sherwood location. Instead, I opted for the simple egg on brioche. It comes with a side salad, one of the better values on the menu. I was disappointed to see Tabasco (you know, like from the '80s), but appreciated the homemade hot sauce. My partner had the steak and eggs. Decent, but not too memorable. The star of show was the seasonal watermelon drink. So good. Dig the table by the window. One of those places I'd come back to, but won't rush to do it.

We stopped here on our way from the airport. It was open early so it was convenient. Parking is on the street. It's a good thing we got there early because it got crowded! It's a quaint place with amazing, personal service. The food is really good too!

What a cute way to display the "soup of the day".

Brand new place in the neighborhood, 1mo old. Found it by searching Yelp for breakfast places nearby. I just had the "Usual" which is two eggs, potatoes and meat. I also added a "Side Pancake". All it was pretty good plus the service was fantastic. It's a cute little place, so stop in sometime. I found the first cup of coffee sour, but when they refilled it, it tasted fine. p.s. At any restaurant, if you receive a sour coffee, just ask your server to replace it from a fresher batch. Most places are fine with that.

We were on the hunt for a place that serves breakfast food "late" and we were lucky to find Fat Milo's! It's a small restaurant and service can be a but slow, but the coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches hit the spot. We opted for salad (choice of breakfast potatoes or salad) and we loved the crunchy breadcrumbs sprinkled on top. There's not much for ambience but we just wanted something to get our day started well, in and out. The chorizo breakfast sandwich tasted great, but was difficult to eat because it's a giant link split lengthwise. You really need to chomp through the casing. Would be nice if the chorizo was cut up a bit more. Prices were decent for the food and it's definitely worth a repeat visit.

Went for brunch today and had fabulous food and friendly service. Clean, cozy, bright space. Had a waffle w/ a side of bacon, my friend had the vegetable hash. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. We will come back for the biscuits! (my daughter wants to try the fish and chips)

It was such an amazing and personal experience. I have trouble with going to breakfast places around Portland because they just seem so "in and out" if that makes sense. Here it felt like I just went into those older breakfast/diner places that everyone loves because it's very nostalgic and simple. In the best way! Our server for the day was absolutely amazing! We are definitely going back more. I really want to try out their fries since they're thinner fries which is what I prefer!! I'm hoping to see eggs Benedict on their menu too in the future! Thanks Milo's!

Warm & friendly staff that clearly like their job, can easily recommend dishes- a welcome place for me to go in my neighborhood. So happy you're in NE!

Fat Milo's is a family owned business! The customer service was 100/10. Nick was our server and he was very personable, funny and attentive! The food was AMAZING. I got the 1/2 serving of Biscuits & Gravy and it was bigger than I thought. Also got the French toast and it was more than enough. The food presentation 10/10! Definitely recommend, will be coming back. You should too!

Thinking sweet and savory? Excellent chicken and waffles here great service as well. We are fortunate to have a place like this in Northeast Portland.

Wow! Clean, simple eating area, the warmest of staff and the most incredible scratch food coming out of the kitchen! Couldn't ask for more! This was our first time in and we will certainly be back! Pictured is the smothered southern chicken sandwich and the chicken and waffles. Not pictured was the last minute to go order of their lemon pound cake and it was scrumptious!

The space itself is smaller and intimate, so bringing a larger group than about 4-5 people might not be ideal. The ambiance definitely gave Italy vibes, for sure. The chicken liver mousse was a good consistency, paired with the figs gave a nice balance between sweet and savory. The steak frites was a classic, steak was a good portion and cooked medium rare, but I'm sure if you wanted it more cooked through, you could make that request. The fries were definitely a standout, great texture and the garlic flavor gave a good contrast to the steak. My favorite dish was the dessert, the flaky crust gave a nice texture to the cream insides. I'm a huge passionfruit fan, so once I saw it was on the menu, I knew I had to try it. It didn't disappoint and I would definitely come back just for this dish alone. Overall a solid experience and would recommend people to try Canard out at least once!

I wouldn't bring my girlfriend who is hard of hearing, at least with a group. I'd be curious to try more of the menu. I was very much not wowed by the breakfast. The beverages were however very nice, and I recently had the cobbler dessert and it looked amazing and tasted better. We had the coffee (Extracto, love.), I had a really good hef and my mother a very well balanced Bellini that I was very pleasantly surprised with trying. From what I saw, the lunch sounds very good and I'd be more apt to recommend folks give that a shot if they happened to be going there too. I'm not sure if I'd recommend as a must go stop. Vibe wise, the ambience is overall really nice. I think having rolled flatware, even with just upgraded napkins, would better complete the aesthetic you initially see and feel. This would also connect with the price point of the food and quality of the beverages. As a fellow server, on that note I would expect more consistent stronger visual appearance standards with servers. (Sorry guys! But some of you looked great!) Overall, I'd definitely join a friend for coffee and lunch over there in the future. Just wouldn't be my top pick for a celebratory brunch or intimate dinner with a date or friends and fam.

The salmon benedict, although highly recommended by the waitress, was extremely fishy, even though the "hollandaise sauce" (which had no depth of flavor, and was just thick) covered the entirety of the egg, salmon, and english muffin. It came with cheesy hash browns which again had no depth of flavor. Cheese makes anything tasty but it was just too much. The service, while friendly, was not attentive. We were unsure who our server was and I had to flag down the server for the bill and then to take my card 10 minutes later.
