All decent, good, not great, not bad
    Andrew A.

Elevated, but not overly foo-foo, breakfast fare. This new location is quaint with good service. I was tempted by the Breakfast Grilled Cheese then re-read my review from their Sherwood location. Instead, I opted for the simple egg on brioche. It comes with a side salad, one of the better values on the menu. I was disappointed to see Tabasco (you know, like from the '80s), but appreciated the homemade hot sauce. My partner had the steak and eggs. Decent, but not too memorable. The star of show was the seasonal watermelon drink. So good. Dig the table by the window. One of those places I'd come back to, but won't rush to do it.

We stopped here on our way from the airport. It was open early so it was convenient. Parking is on the street. It's a good thing we got there early because it got crowded! It's a quaint place with amazing, personal service. The food is really good too!

I picked this place for brunch as it had such a variety of options on the menu. It's a small neighborhood cafe with excellent Service

Quick read: YES, COME HERE! We took a chance on this place when some unexpected family flew into town and wanted a good breakfast. This was the first spot open long enough for us to still squeeze one in. As soon as we walked in, we noticed a sign proudly supporting inclusion and justice. As a Mexican queer woman, seeing that right away felt genuinely welcoming. We grabbed a table, got our menus, and I immediately noticed the Community Meal option-where anyone can come in and get a meal, no questions asked, free of cost. Our server overheard us talking about it and was ready to offer it with complete respect. We were the only ones in this restaurant and they were okay with providing meals for free if we needed them. That alone speaks volumes about the kind of place this is. When ordering, we learned they don't even have a freezer everything is fresh and locally sourced. Big win. One of us ordered the French toast, and wow... I wish I had too. It was beautiful, topped with nuts for the perfect crunch, and made with brioche bread. PHENOMENAL. I had a bite (and got the leftovers), and it was just as amazing cold. I ordered the chorizo breakfast sandwich with a side of tots, and even the quality of the oil they fry with must be top-notch because those tots had the perfect crispy outside with soft, fluffy insides. My friend ordered the huevos rancheros, which I barely saw before he devoured it and immediately went into a happy food coma. We also had biscuits and gravy--slightly sweeter than usual, but still delicious. I'll absolutely be bringing friends here for future breakfast dates. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and come try their food!

What a cute way to display the "soup of the day".

Brand new place in the neighborhood, 1mo old. Found it by searching Yelp for breakfast places nearby. I just had the "Usual" which is two eggs, potatoes and meat. I also added a "Side Pancake". All it was pretty good plus the service was fantastic. It's a cute little place, so stop in sometime. I found the first cup of coffee sour, but when they refilled it, it tasted fine. p.s. At any restaurant, if you receive a sour coffee, just ask your server to replace it from a fresher batch. Most places are fine with that.

Fried chicken, blt, sloppy southerner. Fried chicken was tender with biscuit and home fries. Homemade ranch. Gotta try their homemade BBQ sause with a smokey heat. BLT was full of bacon, juicy tomato and tender toast. Sloppy Southern tender chicken thigh with bread and butter pickles that added a hit of vinegar and heat? A must try is their homemade strawberry lemonade. A must try!

We were on the hunt for a place that serves breakfast food "late" and we were lucky to find Fat Milo's! It's a small restaurant and service can be a but slow, but the coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches hit the spot. We opted for salad (choice of breakfast potatoes or salad) and we loved the crunchy breadcrumbs sprinkled on top. There's not much for ambience but we just wanted something to get our day started well, in and out. The chorizo breakfast sandwich tasted great, but was difficult to eat because it's a giant link split lengthwise. You really need to chomp through the casing. Would be nice if the chorizo was cut up a bit more. Prices were decent for the food and it's definitely worth a repeat visit.

Biscuits hot out of the oven, smelled divine...

Went for brunch today and had fabulous food and friendly service. Clean, cozy, bright space. Had a waffle w/ a side of bacon, my friend had the vegetable hash. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. We will come back for the biscuits! (my daughter wants to try the fish and chips)

Vegetable hash- brunch out on the sidewalk with people who were VERY familiar with the other location!

Warm & friendly staff that clearly like their job, can easily recommend dishes- a welcome place for me to go in my neighborhood. So happy you're in NE!

It was such an amazing and personal experience. I have trouble with going to breakfast places around Portland because they just seem so "in and out" if that makes sense. Here it felt like I just went into those older breakfast/diner places that everyone loves because it's very nostalgic and simple. In the best way! Our server for the day was absolutely amazing! We are definitely going back more. I really want to try out their fries since they're thinner fries which is what I prefer!! I'm hoping to see eggs Benedict on their menu too in the future! Thanks Milo's!

As i approached the building, I noticed that it was full of people. I fell into the street. I was in and out of consciousness. My heart was racing at the thought that I drove 15 hours and could not get a seat at SCREEN DOOR. As I walked into the building a humble man greeted me. He told me that they would clean off a table for me. WOO HOO. I bursted out crying at the thought that I finally got my seat. As I sat down a soft chair graced my bottom. Beautiful. I looked around and the scenery was beautiful. As I looked at the menu, my eyes sharply turned to the chicken and waffles. Deliciously perfect choice. I ordered my food and got a coffee. My chicken and waffles arrived and I took a bite. I started floating. My soul left my body. I looked down at my body as I floating away, I was enjoying every bite. I reached the heavens. A loud voice said "Its not your time yet. Return and enjoy the rest of your meal." I ascend back to the chair and every chicken and every waffle was gone. The servers were SO kind. I got my check and shead a tear, knowing that was the best meal of my life. Over all from kind servers to and delicious food, SCREEN DOOR was an awesome experience. Our total was 73.2 after tip for 2 dishes and 2 mocktails. Portion sizes were huge, if you're getting any savory dish, the sausage gravy is a must add. The artist formerly known as Price played overhead. A light warm breeze lapped at my ankles, while the AC froze my left shoulder. The Bloody Mary's (spicy as I am dirty slut who needs a beer back) were warming. We opted for the 'Brunch for two' which was the correct option. The tarragon and acidity balanced the salad course, while salty, fortifying undertones during the charcuterie course brought the quality of THE MEAT forward. We finished bloodies and opted for a spritz each. The Ham Benedict slapped with the 'laser potatoe' stealing the show. By this time the relaxed pacing welcomed warm summer air into the warehouse. A group of bears, fresh from pride weekend clucked over the to-go options. A couple sat nearby looking at homes, clearly in love and excited for what tomorrow's dreams held. Then the blackberry short cake dessert arrived; wow cream, berry, soft malt, air(?), so good. My spouse and I left full, satisfied, and hopeful for tomorrow. Everything we ordered was gorgeous and whimsical in presentation, but of course that would mean little without the flavors to back it all up, which it had in spades. The Thai steak tartare tostadas were incredibly balanced, with brightness and herbaceous notes from the vegetables, herbs, and sauce, great punch from the Thai spices, richness from the tartare, and a nice snap and slight nuttiness from the tapioca crisps cradling everything underneath. The foie gras dumplings were simply divine. I expected them to be rich and dense, but they were like little pillows, with a savory filling and a perfect balance of smoked leek broth, crispy fried leeks, and a caramelized shallot jam that ended up being the surprise star of the dish for me. Then came the main event, the Duck Stack, which I can only describe as a McGriddle on steroids (in the best possible way!). Somehow it all worked beautifully, with the rich duck gravy, fluffy pancakes drenched in syrup, spiced onions, and a fried duck egg tying everything together in perfect harmony. It was one of those dishes that sounds wild on paper but is totally brilliant on the plate and in your mouth. Really fantastic meal from start to finish, and I'm already excited to come back to try more of the menu (and the happy hour!) on a future visit.

It comes loaded with a generous portion of grilled mortadella and melted provolone cheese, perfectly moistened with a tangy mustard aioli. The fresh lettuce and bell peppers added a satisfying crunch to every bite. Chefwich - K-Town Steak Sandwich (5/5): A limited-time creation packed into a banh mi roll.
