Sweedeedee is an absolute brunch dream. We truly enjoyed ourselves there so much that we returned two more times while on vacation. The place is intimate, homey and comforting. Staff was welcoming and very friendly. Wish we could have tried the whole menu but we were definitely stuck on the corn cakes. I really wanted to like this cafe and I have tried to come here once before but it is very small and was too crowded. I got the turkey sandwhich and it looked delicious but there was so much horseradish sauce on it that it overpowered everything and I couldn't finish it. I wouldn't reccomend ordering that. The pastries looked very yummy as well but the flies in the case and around were a little off putting. Servers were very nice though and this place is cute with a good menu. A cute cafe for a date! This spot can have a wait with a lot of small tables. There is a record store next door you can shop while you wait. A menu that leans a little healthier and European inspired. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was okay. The bread and bacon were a little overdone, but side salad added on it helped. The hot sauce is a must add! Farm salad was fresh and delicious, but small. Turkey sandwich was not huge, but it was pretty good. Some prices seem high, like $22 for minestrone- but others fair. My partner and I came for a Valentine's breakfast and were looking forward to returning since our last visit was in 2023. I enjoyed the breakfast plate and my partner ordered the smoked trout sandwich. The cafe au lait was delicious! We both left feeling disappointed with the service though. One of my favorite brunch spots. Very zen atmosphere when I come here. Seating is perfect for small groups or for solo diners. It's a cozy interior with not a whole lot of seating inside. If you come solo you can be seated quickly, 2 or more and you're probably gonna have to wait. I got the Spanish tortilla with romesco sauce and salad and my friend had the breakfast plate. We split the bacon. Everything was delicious, my only comment is that the breakfast plate seemed kind of low value. Not a lot of food for a lot of $$$. In fact, all of the portions here are fairly small. This is going to depend on your appetite obvi but my friend and I had just finished a 2 hr workout and we were a little ravenous. I came here for brunch with friends and had an amazing time. The decor of the spot is so adorable, dainty, and quaint. They also even have a spot where you can buy wines and some cooking ingredients! However, the inside of the restaurant is very small, with enough space for just over ten people, so my friends and I dined outside. This is just such a cute neighborhood spot. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating but it's worth the wait. All the staff are very friendly and you can tell a lot of thought was put into the food. They use a lot of seasonal produce which makes everything feel so fresh. Where can I start? They brought me the wrong order 2 times. And all the time they were acting like was my fault. I understand that mistakes happens but don't act like is my fault. They gave us a tiny tiny coffee cup, so of course we needed a refill. We asked many times and no refill of coffee. When was time to go we asked for a to go coffee. For our surprise they charged us for that coffee to go. At that point we just wanted to leave and definitely we are not going back. Sweedeedee is a utopia of aesthetically pleasing food with a dash of hipster snobbery amongst the crowd and staff that reminds me a lot of my days in LA. Nonetheless, the pastry I had (some sort of raspberry custard) was so so so good. We waited in a line that went through the door for an order and go type situation. We came around 12pm on a Saturday and they were already out of majority of their pastry selections which is a good sign, people love this place. The space inside is elbow to elbow when it's busy, be prepared. The pastry was ~$8 which was a pretty hefty price tag for one pastry but I do love helping local businesses and have no regrets. So I've been to Sweedeedee several times now and I felt the need to write a review after my most recent visit. Because I keep thinking about it. Specifically: Grandma's bread with cinnamon sugar and butter. So the atmosphere is charming. It feels European. Small. Cozy. A little sundry inside. A pastry case with unbelievable desserts. It's warm. There's always an actual record playing on a record player. No reservations, which always makes me nervous, but I've never waited more than 20 mins there. Service is lovely. I'm beginning to recognize folks there. Prices are high for small portions but it's worth it. Clearly the quality of ingredients are really top notch. I never go without getting some focaccia. It's fantastic. Now I'll never go without grandma's Bread. It's unlike any bread I've had before. I keep speaking on it! I had a cup of local tea and a fantastic Niçoise salad with poached tuna. The salad was so fresh and crunchy and plated in the most beautiful way. The menu changes and I've never had a bad meal. Dinner I would get some of the pasta options. Visited this place a few weeks ago with a friend. We had expectations as we've been wanting to try this place for awhile and it did not disappoint! The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food was so delicious. I got the French toast which came with lemon curd, cultured butter, blueberries and powdered sugar. It was so yum! I also had their coffee and they provide free refills which is awesome. The ambience is lovely. Very minimalist space that is complimented nicely by natural lighting if you sit inside.
