Olive from Right time was very helpful with guiding me through the steps of sending my timepiece halfway across the country to get my watch there. Olive was very helpful by providing me a shipping label to send my watch there and when I had any serious questions she would simply reach out to me by phone which made it easy to discuss my concerns. My watch now preforms better than ever after the service. However their was a slight hiccup when I received my watch back there was just a small screw missing in the bracelet. That was not an issue for me though as I simply reached out to Olive and she provided me a shipping label and had my bracelet sent back and repaired and back to me in a week and half. I live in Victoria BC by the way making it very quick waiting time. Now my watch is back on its lovely steel bracelet and I'm enjoying it just as much when I first purchased it. If you're looking for a place with amazing customer service and care then this is the place to go! Thank you so much Olive and the rest of the staff for bring my very special Ball watch back to life! You all are truly amazing!! - Brandon Long

So I dropped my watch on the floor and the crystal cracked. *cries* The Fossil official repair…read morepeople estimated 2-4 weeks after sending it but I wanted my watch fixed right away. So I searched up and found Right Time, which is conveniently located right in the atrium. Out of all price quotes, Right Time had the cheapest price quote which was $35 + tax compared to the $40 $45 price quotes. And Gabriella, the business owner, estimated it would take 1 hour for the repair. Which is amazing compared to the other estimates I got. So I dropped by around 1 and returned an hour later at 2 and my watch was fixed almost like new. The glass of the crystal is slightly raised above the height of my actual watch so you can feel the bump and so now I have to be even more careful. I'm still happy with the repair and the workers there were super nice. I'd totally return to get my watch fixed if it needs fixing again, which hopefully doesn't happen. Totally recommend.

One of the best experiences we had during our wedding process was buying our wedding rings! To us,…read moreit is a true personal moment and Hollywood Diamonds was there for us throughout the experience. There were 3 moments through the experience that motivated me to write this review: 1. No pressure on fees: I told sales associate Linda our budget and she ensured to stay in it. If I was attracted to something a bit more expensive she did warn me before taking it out of display and even showed me comparables that were in my budget. They not only understand a couple's desire to buy wedding rings but understand the bigger picture of planning a wedding itself and therefore are very considerate when discussing prices. 2. The team's patience: My husband and I went into the store not knowing exactly what we wanted. We stayed there for a very long time looking and they never pressured us to buy. They kept advising us to take our time because they understand how big of a decision this is. 3. Very informative: My husband works as an Electrician and therefore they adjusted ring recommendations to rings that don't scratch easily. They also taught me how to clean the rings to keep it an extra shine as well as mentioned how easy it is to resize in the future. If you are a couple that needs heavy guidance like we did, I would highly recommend Hollywood Diamonds. They truly accommodated us in every way and now, we are wearing our dream wedding rings everyday all thanks to the team.

Thank you to the Thai family who provided my fiance and I an excellent experience at Hollywood…read moreDiamond! I had already (surprise) proposed to my fiance with a placeholder ring - the next step for us was to start shopping. We heard about Hollywood Diamond through word-of-mouth, and thought we could sit down to educate ourselves about diamonds, as well as try on some settings. Thach and his wife had the patience of saints to sit down with us for 2 hours to educate us on the 4 C's of a diamond, lab vs. mined, sizing, settings, literally any question and concern we could think of - Thach took seriously and alleviated our thoughts. Overall, it was a very pleasant, low pressure experience and to seal the deal, the pricing was unbeatable when we compared to online retailers. The cherry on top was that we were visiting from Vancouver, and Hollywood Diamond was able to get the ring completed for us in 10 days! That's unheard of, and we are grateful to the Thai family for going above and beyond.

I genuinely don't understand how this place accumulates so many positive reviews. If you care about…read moreyour watches, please read this before stepping in. I brought my vintage Rolex Oysterdate 6694 (1963) here for a standard movement service. Being new to the country, I needed a trusted watchmaker for my vintage pieces, and I fell for his claims of being a "former Rolex watchmaker" and his high Google rating. The technician originally quoted me $890 tax included for a full overhaul, with a one-month turnaround promised. Exactly 6 days later, he called saying it was ready. My BS detector immediately went off. He then claimed the price would be higher because he "had to replace the mainspring with a genuine Rolex part," for an extra $250. Let's be clear: in a standard overhaul, the mainspring change is always included in the base price. Furthermore, a mainspring is a completely blank, generic part, there is no such thing as a "Rolex branded mainspring" or any markings on it. When I challenged him and told him to put my old spring back, the price magically dropped from $250 to $125. A 50% discount on a "premium branded component" the second you ask questions? Shady. When I went to pick up the watch, the "welcoming" guy from before was gone, replaced by a sour and defensive attitude. I asked for the timegrapher report and the waterproof pressure test results, standard documentation provided by any real watchmaker. He refused, claiming he "doesn't do that" and that I just had to trust him. When I insisted, he aggressively diverted the conversation. Worse: the crooked dial feet I had specifically asked him to fix were still completely crooked. He tried to "fix it" on the spot in a rush, but again diverted the conversation, and ultimately did nothing. I had a timegrapher report from before his "service." The amplitude was a bit low, meaning the watch did need a service, or that the spring was a bit worn, nothing that cleaning and oiling wouldn't have fixed. The rest: 0s/day (perfect), 0.5 to 0.9ms beat error (near perfect, but suggestive of an aging spring). I went back home and put it on my own timegrapher. Result post service: +9.9s/day, 1.7 to 2.2ms beat error... the beat error indicates it was never tuned, he simply slapped a new spring in and closed the watch. Worse, a beat error that high prematurely wears out everything inside. Since, I bought a professional timegrapher. The readings were even worse than before. +183s/day, +2.3ms beat second. To top it all off, he added an illegal credit card surcharge to the final bill. On an initial verbal quote of $890 tax included, I ended up paying $1134.80 before taxes... I sent him texts, emails (that bounced back), asking him to: 1. show me the spring's packaging, 2. give me back the old spring, 3. explain why the readings were worse than before, 4. fix the crooked dial as he said he would. He never replied. I took it to my bank and credit card company, and here's what's interesting: they had received complaints about him before, apparently he operated under multiple names. I got a chargeback. PS: I went to Rolex to service another watch and mentioned him. They know him very well, but he is not, and never was, a watchmaker for them... and issuing a document to prove former employment or even an authorized service center is absolutely impossible. So the Rolex letter behind his desk? Probably forged. PS2: I went back in my hometown where I have a trusted watchmaker, I brought it to him. He confirmed the spring is indeed new, but the wrong reference for this watch, too "strong," likely the incorrect part. He had to clean and oil the whole thing again, as some oils were too thick, others too thin, and some were simply dirty. He told me it was unlikely the waterproof test had ever been run, as the gasket was dry and improperly seated. Which makes me wonder: what did this guy actually do to my watch, besides slapping in an overpriced, wrong spring?
