horrible service... 4 cents per page for 100+ pages Slow, no service help printing The dude worked there kept blaming me for everything. Yes I want my stuff printed out fast, double sided. But he said I messed up at the very beginning to send all jobs to the printer and he had no clue which printer it was... I have no idea how the other reviews are all so positive, I think they must be padding their own scores. Please pay attention to the one-star negative reviews, because I had a similar experience. I printed a document here on machine BW#3 and it clearly came out fainted, with less ink in the middle column of the page than on the edges. I promptly indicated to them that the ink toner is weak and should be replaced. The owners told me that their machines are fine and that my file must have a problem. It's shocking to me that they would suggest such a thing. My file is a LaTeX typeset vector graphics PDF, so my file of course has no problems. Then he said that "grayscale is hard to get", if I am not happy with the copy machines here, don't print anymore, all the machines will be the same. Any of the following responses would have been more appropriate: 1. I'm sorry, the ink toner is clearly running out. We will replace this right away. In the meantime please use this machine instead, or wait 10 minutes for us to replace the toner and then use BW#3. I'm sorry that I insulted your intelligence by suggesting that the print-outs are weak because your file is flawed. 2. I'm sorry, we are not Kinko's. We are just a cheap-ass joint that has been sitting here in Berkeley for the past couple decades, fighting an uphill battle against big corporations and losing miserably, barely able to meet our margins, accruing moss and becoming increasingly outdated in the information age. I simply cannot afford to replace that dying ink toner, because I need the handful of quarters that I'll be able to extract from more acquiescent customers that will just accept my pathetic print quality and infuriating customer service. And if I can't get those quarters, I won't be able to feed my family today. Please accept my sincere apologies for being forced to cut corners in order to run this outdated junkyard which I'm passing off as a "business." Do NOT come here. The owners were very kind and very helpful! I had a typo and they let me use their USB so I could edit the old one and still print it the same day. They also were helpful for what paper I should use for the event program and it looked great! They also printed one copy to make sure it was the way I wanted it before printing out all of the copies I needed. read more

I used Vick copy's printing services during my wedding. I was running out of time and needed the job urgently, and they delivered!! They were extremely professional and understood exactly what I needed. They did an excellent job with lawn signs and they lasted through the night even with the pouring rain. The service was great! The owner was really nice and understood exactly what I wanted. When I messed up on the order of my pages, he nicely explained to me how to reorder my pages so it would print out correctly. And he didn't charge me extra for folding and stapling. That is about the same as the other shops around UC Berkelely. I don't know if they'll honor it. I never tried. If they don't, please yelp here. Although they are okay for making copies, DO NOT mail packages through them. I saw a sign on their window saying that they also mail packages, and since I needed to send a package to my sister for her birthday and since I live a block away, I decided to give them a try. First of all, to mail one slender envelope to the next suburb over in CA plus one 4-pound package to Minnesota, the cost was $29!!! That is very expensive. However, more concerning even than this was the fact that I filled out no paperwork and was shown nothing at all regarding which service was being used to ship my package. I paid, and the worker took my package and envelope to the back room. That was it. It was definintely partly my fault for going ahead with this suspicious practice, so I blame myself too. But it is not helpful for them to take your package without giving you any information, forms to fill out, or guarantee that they actually prepard and mailed your package! They did ask me for my email address and did send a link to check up on the status. However, when I did check the status, I saw that the package was not brought to the sorting center until 3 days after the day I brought it to them. After 5 days, it has not yet reached Minnesota, which seems crazy for the price I paid. Overall, I would not suggest mailing packages through them, although I have had a good experience making copies there before. read more
