I love when it's time to go to Vici to get my hair done. My appointments are with Valerie who I love. She's so fun to chat with. I also love seeing the owner Laura around the salon when I'm there too and getting to say hello to her as well. Coming to this salon is so convenient. It has a coffee shop attached where you can even get dirty sodas. You can also align your appointment with a visit to the attached beauty bar to get your filler, laser skin rejuvenation, microneedling, GLP-1s etc I love an efficient operation where you can get multiple things checked off your list. If I could hang out at Vici all day I would! read more

BRIAN AGUILAR!! He is the KING of precision cuts! I found Brian through a ChatGPT recommendation. I had been thinking of getting bangs for several years and after wearing clip-ins from Amazon to a 1960s party and loving them, I decided to take the plunge, but not until I did a TON of research on different bang types so I understood what to ask for and how to find the best stylist with "Fringe"/"Curtain bangs" cutting experience because it's definitely a "art"! After spending a lot of time understanding what I wanted specifically, I had to find a great stylist. I thought I'd have to go to LA to find someone I could trust since this was a big commitment. Fortunately, ChatGPT helped me find Brian as the top recommendation for experience in cutting bangs in Newport Beach, and his 150k+ IG followers do not lie. I knew I had found my person. The vibe of the salon is super-cool LA Salon vibe. I feel like I am transported out of Orange County everytime I'm here. Vici is a hidden gem!! CHELSEA HENDRICK is the QUEEN of K-Tips and Color....WOW she completely transformed my color (base, color correction, lowlights, and highlights) in one swoop. ...We met before my appointment and mapped out a plan together, which I SO appreciated. She actually listened to my inspiration photos and understood exactly what I wanted -- a rich, warm brunette with dimension woven all the way through, not stripey foils. The result is this gorgeous multi-tonal, melted color with a soft root so nothing grows out harsh. It literally glows in the sunlight. And the K-Tips!! She custom color-matched my Great Lengths extensions so seamlessly that even I can't tell where my hair ends and the extensions begin. We added a few colors that all blended and it turned out AMAZING!! The blend is flawless. She's meticulous, honest about what will and won't work, and clearly a total color nerd (the best kind). Between Brian for cuts and Chelsea for color and extensions, Vici has become my one-stop salon. If you've been burned by streaky, brassy, or ashy color before -- RUN to Chelsea. Worth every penny! read more

Went and saw Lizzie for the first time today to get a basic haircut. She texted me a few hours before the appointment asking what I was looking for which I thought was amazing. Lizzie was so friendly and super sweet. Never pressured me into getting anything that I didn't want which I have experienced at other salons. I would definitely go back to this and definitely will see Lizzie again! read more

Vici Salon - After the cut! - Waxing Near Me - Newport Beach, California

Salon encourages stylists to take multiple clients at once and is set up for this. Wouldn't be an issue if it didn't sacrifice client experience but in my case it definitely did. It was my first time here and I was excited to try a new stylist. I then spent 90% of my appointment with my stylists' young assistant who did my color, shampoo and blow dry...all without my stylist checking on me even once. In the process I was shifted between multiple chairs and when I asked if I would be returning to the stylist's station, the assistant told me no and directly said the salon was set up for the stylists to take multiple clients and my stylist was doing someone else in her chair now. It was very clear she was juggling multiple people and came to me for the last 10 minutes of my appointment. Stylist then proceeded to give me an awful bang cut...I mean bordering on microbangs with weird straight razoring technique layers all around my face. It wasn't at all what I had asked for. She spent 5 minutes hacking away without once turning me around to see what she was doing or collaborating with me at all. When I've had bangs in the past, other stylists have done very incremental cutting, making sure I'm comfortable with the length the whole way. This was the opposite of that because she was rushing to get to the other person she had in her chair. I was then left to pay the $250+ bill...for a gloss service done by an assistant and an awful bang cut that took 5 minutes. I cried the whole way home from the salon. It's been two months and I'm still struggling to deal with the cut which literally is always frizzy and lays horribly. It's a bummer because this salon was bright, clean and a good atmosphere but the vibes don't cancel out a poor result and subpar service...all for hair I am embarrassed of and an overall not great experience, the exact opposite of the rare self care time I was hoping for. If you can't juggle clients without sacrificing client satisfaction...don't do it. If your young assistant is having to take care of 90% of someone's service, the price of the service should reflect that and a disclaimer should be given upon booking. Edit: the technique she used was slide cutting and specifically should not be used on fine hair I have now been told by another professional. She badly damaged the all of the hair on both sides of my face to where the whole shaft is frayed and the bangs are thin and sparse. I have confirmation from another stylist I've since seen that this was a poorly executed hair cut and she was surprised to hear it had been done by a professional. read more

I don't even know if words can fully capture how incredibly talented Danielle Becker is. She's truly in a league of her own. Her work is nothing short of extraordinary. I've been going to Danielle for nearly 10 years now, and from the very beginning, she has completely transformed not just my hair, but my confidence and how I see myself. It all started when a coworker casually recommended his girlfriend to me because "she does hair." I was 19 at the time and, while it might have sounded like a simple suggestion, it was actually a big deal for me. My hair has always been deeply personal, an extension of who I am. After years of bad experiences, I was terrified of letting anyone near it. So needless to say, I hadn't had it professionally cut in a long time. From the moment I met Danielle, I knew she was special. She had this warmth about her: genuinely kind, attentive, and so easy to talk to. It felt like reconnecting with an old friend. I nervously shared my fears about haircuts, and she listened without judgment. She made me feel safe, reassured me that we wouldn't do anything I wasn't comfortable with, and stuck to every word she said. What was supposed to be a simple cut turned into something magical. I left her chair that day feeling seen, confident, and (most importantly) like myself. It was the first time in a long time that I felt truly beautiful. And from that moment on, I knew Danielle was the only person I'd ever trust with my hair. Over the years, our trust has grown so much that I eventually took a leap I swore I never would: I let someone color my hair. Of course, that someone was Danielle. We decided to go lighter and do a big chop. Something totally outside my comfort zone. And as always, she absolutely nailed it. I was blown away, not just by her skill, but by how she made me feel through the entire process. Danielle isn't just my hairstylist... she's someone who has walked with me through major milestones in my life. I've followed her through every salon move and watched her grow both personally and professionally. She's a true inspiration. Her passion, drive, and genuine care for her clients is unmatched. She's not only a master at her craft but also one of the most incredible humans I've ever met. If you ever have the chance to sit in Danielle Becker's chair, consider yourself lucky. She has a gift, not just with hair, but with people. Every time I leave her salon, I feel like the absolute best version of myself. I owe so much of my self-love, confidence, and identity to her. She has truly changed my life. You can always trust the process with Danielle. Because with her, it's not just about looking good, it's about feeling right. Feeling like you. And every time, without fail, she delivers just that. read more

Just had a pretty bad experience here with the stylist Carla and her assistant. I went in for highlights and a haircut, and it was obvious she was in a huge rush the whole time, which honestly I'm pretty okay with, but when the assistant washed my hair out from the highlights and then toned my hair I started feeling light headed and nauseas and the fumes were unlike anything I've smelled before. It was kind of crazy, I've had highlights and toner for years and never smelled them that strongly before. It's been about half an hour since I left and I still feel nauseas. Then at the end I was rushed out without a hair cut and it was just so obvious the stylist didn't feel like doing it, which I guess worked out because I was feeling so sick anyway, but overall a pretty negative bad vibe read more

Carley has been doing my hair for over two years now and I'll never have anyone else do it again!!! I wouldn't let anyone touch my hair after growing out all the color from previous stylists jobs over the years. A few summers ago I decided it was time to lighten my natural hair, I was skeptical, but Carley assured me it would look seamless and the grow out would have no harsh lines. The before picture is an 8 month grow out - it looks amazing, there's no harsh lines and grew in completely naturally in regard to my root color. The after pictures are from our most previous session - I asked for it to be lightened but still have a natural grow out. Carley specializes in custom color and creates a natural and seamless look for anyone who may sit in her chair. On top if it all - Vici salon is beautiful and all of the stylists there are top notch. The owner, Laura, has gone out her way to create a safe yet beautiful space to accommodate anyone who may step foot inside. Can't wait for my next session! read more

Went in for a consultation with Melina Elise for haircut, balayage, and keratin treatment. The salon was nice, clean, bright. Stylist seemed knowledgeable and I scheduled an appointment. Days later she texted and said she wasn't a good fit, so naturally being caught off guard and not having complex hair, I had asked if I had offended her to which she said not at all, that she wanted me to love my hair. So I asked for a referral to which she hasn't replied, might be in middle of appointment, so not pressing on it just yet. But trying to call the salon to get a referral for another stylist and the phone system doesn't seem to be set up. First call no ring, just goes to voicemail that isn't set up yet. Second call, rings, then to vm not setup yet. Website doesn't have a contact form or chat. So had to resort Yelp. Overall frustrating experience, which is a shame because the salon has a lot of positive aspects, but the last elements of no alternative stylist, no response, and no way to get through to anyone or leave a comment added stress to my day instead of the usual opposite effects one receives from a self-care type appointment. read more

I've been seeing Janay for over 4 years now, and I truly don't trust anyone else with my hair. She does my color and always nails that effortless, natural look ... like the hair I wish I was born with. I have super fine hair, and she just knows how to work with it so it feels healthy, soft, and full of life when I leave. She recently gave me a deep conditioning treatment just because. No upsell, no pressure. That's just who she is. Janay never feels salesy or pushy. She's simply amazing at what she does and genuinely wants you to love your hair. On top of all that, she's warm, bubbly, and makes you feel like you've been best friends forever. Our appointments are my happy place. She's currently at Vici Salon, which has such a light, airy vibe.., the whole experience is a dream. If you're thinking about booking with her... do it. I've been seeing Jenny Warner for over 12 years. I've moved across the country, all over Orange County and up to LA- and I've never been able to find anyone who is as amazing as Jenny. I now drive down from Santa Monica every 3-4 weeks to get my hair done with Jenny because I adore her and value her skill so much. What I love about her: - Her ability to do color is unmatched. She perfects the color, tone, texture. - She can do "it all"- cut, color, extensions, masks, up-do's, braids, blow outs, keratin treatments, etc. She did my hair for my wedding and entire wedding party, and also did my extensions and keratin for my honeymoon. One stop shop. - She's assertive but listens. She'll tell you if the bleach blonde you're thinking of won't match your skin tone; if you'll hate the bangs you're considering. But she'll also ask a lot of questions so she can give you what you're looking for. It's a perfect balance. - She continually strives to learn- taking continuing education classes on color, extensions, cut, braiding- you name it. She loves her craft and takes it seriously. - She is flexible and easygoing. When I sit down in the chair with my laptop and tell her I have to work the whole session, she says "Do your thing, girl!" And does her work in silence. When I want to be chatty and complain about my kids, she commiserates and gives great advice. When I need to come a little earlier or later for my appt, she tries her best to accommodate me. She really cares about her clients and is part of my "village" - She is gorgeous, strong, smart, worldly, has great stories, and is funny as hell. She is a chef, a water polo mama, and madly in love with her hubby- the wife I've always wanted to be. As my mom says (who now sees Jenny every 3 weeks too)- "Jenny knows many things." - Pricing is super competitive. I'd spend $200+ more in LA for the same (or worse) service in LA. She's fair. I love Jenny so much, she's become a true friend. You will too! read more
