It's easier booking a tour at the White House and making an appointment. They have a new rule that they can't make an appointment with the stylus for you. She told me again she's unable to make an appointment for me and I have to reach out to the stylist, I said OK what is her phone number? This salon is great! I called on a whim, I went to Kaylyn to get my short black bob turned into long, flowing locks. I text her and she responded immediately, which is good, because I needed this installation done in a hurry for a film we're shooting this weekend. I decided to get sew-ins. She was amazing! Very attentive, and if any of the beads were too tight, she would immediately fix them. I felt very comfortable with her and had a great time. The actual installation only took about 2 hours. If you're not sure about extensions, I would go to the salon because they do specialize in that service. As you can see, my real hair blends magically into the extensions. Pretty cool. A really cool feature is the hair store built into the building that you can just walk to and buy the hair from. I got the genius wefts, and this particular type of hair (Kovi) does not get wavy when wet. It's straight and matches my real hair, which is what I was looking for. The women stylists who work here are dedicated and know what they're doing. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Just got my hair done at this salon recently and it is absolutely gorgeous! My stylist was extremely informative throughout my entire appointment. We did highlights and two rows of extensions. They have an entire hair extension store inside the salon! We walked right over and matched colors and bought the hair to install that day. My hair has never looked better! I am so happy with it. When I did arrive maps took me to a different building so I added the photo of the red circle where it actually is, but the stylist helped me find it over the phone no problem. I have to say once again these wonderful, beautiful ladies saved me from myself (again) ....I've gone to have my hair done by Kyle for a while- seriously she's saved in my phone as "Kyle's the best" - I think my first visit to Tease was in 2014. Even when I moved back to Vegas I flew here to get it done, that's how good they are!... but, in all honesty when I mess things up it sucks & I'm really good at it! (I've cut my own bangs, had my husband give me a "trim", given myself a "trim" - I don't advise anyone do any of that) & When I think I can go to another stylist for a quick fix - I'm wrong & of course I did it, clearly she should be paid more just for putting up with my crap! I travel from Manhattan to get my hair done at Tease Salon every six weeks. That should tell you everything you need to know. I was an extension newbie before Vanessa and was super nervous about the process. I was imagining all of the worst things - hair falling out, fake looking hair, poor blending, etc. Vanessa was so amazing and talked me through the entire process to make me feel at ease (with the aid of a couple glasses of wine). It did take me a total of two weeks to get over my shock and get used to the long locks but four months in and I am still loving my two rows of hand tied wefts. To address the extremely entertaining but negative reviews here, I have had no issues with beads falling out, no hair loss, no split ends, and no matting or tangling. I only use the products recommended (Caviar, Unite, Wetbrush) and wash my hair once a week (twice if there's a special occasion). Regarding pricing, I find them extremely reasonable. I was getting my hair done at Bumble & Bumble in Manhattan for $500 for cut and color, no extensions. Even if they were expensive I'd be willing to pay as they are specialists in extensions. Why would you go anywhere else? Alight fine if you're looking for something negative, the only constructive feedback I would give is that it would have been nice to have been notified that the nail tech Zaza left the salon. I received no warning (probably because Zaza did her own booking, I think?) and only found out because I texted Zaza looking to reschedule. Luckily, there are about a million nail techs in NYC so I'm not even mildly upset. I love Tease Salon and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality and professional services.
