My usual hairstylist had gotten sick with Covid before the holidays. So I was on the hunt for a new stylist who could dye my hair and put my extensions back in before my son and I had to take photos with Santa. You know Santa is a very important man so I had to look on point. I found this salon via Yelp and kristen was open. I told her I have a 14 month old son that I'd be bringing and hoped that would be ok. My son and I showed up for a visit and it all went really well. Kristen did my color better than my last stylist and her extension placement was way better. She and the entire salon were very accepting of my son being along with me and my singing to him and needing to occasionally take him outside for a break. As a new mom it's very scary when you're showing up for a long visit and wondering if everyone will be accepting or not. All in all I'm breaking up with my old stylist because this was just a great experience. Pic of my son outside enjoying himself as well. Can't wait to go back!

Not only does Valerie do an amazing job with listening to ALL my hair needs, as a queer woman, she always makes me feel safe, heard and most of all beautiful! It's important that the LGBTQIA+ community have safe places to go to feel like they can be them selves. Not only does Valerie excel in this but she colored my hair pink for Pride back in 2019!!! I can't say enough good things about Valerie! She is so attentive to what your hair goals are and has just the sweetest personality! I'm always OBSESSED with my hair after every single visit! This review is for Omar. I paid $300 each treatment for crap results. I tipped fat every time too. Our goal was to lighten it to a brighter red and he couldn't do it. I Asked for a haircut with each color and I didn't get one. I don't mind paying the money but come on match it with some talent! Don't be fooled by good photos online because here is reality. I sent him these two photos and told me to wait for my next appointment which was 4 weeks out. I wore a hat the whole month. Even after my next color was still the same. all I could do was laugh about it.

As a natural brunette, I have had some interesting results with highlights and lightening my color, but Kendra seriously killed it. It's such a treat to get my hair done at "Sweeter Than Honey Hair Lounge". Even a bigger treat to have my hair done by Monique! She's very sweet and such a great hair dresser. Both my daughter and I are relieved to find a hairdresser like Monique. Just ask her what style would be best and she'll let you know. If you don't agree she will do exactly the cut you do want. It's a really cozy place that's just been remodeled. A very chill vibe. I always leave feeling so pleased and content. read more

I passed by and saw the salon thought it was very cute reach out to two stylist one never replied the other one replied but was very inconsistent and then stop replying all together later on the salon reach out to my request telling me they don't do color correction or accept new clients when the stylist never mention either she even told me to go so she could look at my hair and see what could be done . Why didn't she said she didn't do color correction or accepting new client to me this is feeling very racist I guess I don't fit their standards for their clientele read more

Always an amazing experience with Leah DiMaria. She is a color master and has been doing my highlights, balayage, cuts, etc for years. I'm super indecisive and Leah had such patience with me when I wanted to go from bright blonde to brunette, and back light again. All while making sure my hair stayed healthy! If you're looking for a new hairdresser, look no further! Devin is extremely knowledgeable on current hair trends and thorough on her explanations of how she plans to style your hair. More often than not, I will come in and show her a picture off of Pinterest and she'll match it. Her ability to color all different shades of blonde is unmatched. Had an appointment scheduled on my birthday and my hairdresser didn't show. She texted me that she messed up the schedule, that it was her fault, and she was trying to get there. I waited 2 hours past my scheduled time because she told me she was "trying" to get there. Eventually I had to leave because I had plans. It was extremely frustrating and disappointing. read more

Almost a year and a half I came to Alexis with DAMAGE HAIR. My previous hair stylist burned my hair and I was losing a lot of hair. Alexis Over the year made my hair stronger with still keeping my hair blonde. I'm a natural DARKKKK brown and she was still able to keep my hair healthy and not burn looking. My hair continues to grow and is healthy with still having fun with my blonde and other colors. I constantly am changing what I want and she is able to accommodate she is amazing!!I also go on and off with my extensions and I couldn't be any more happier with her and the work she does. I love this place! This salon is so personable, and the inside is gorgeous! The stylists are incredibly talented. I went in today for a cut and color, and the final product was exactly as I requested. Liz is very patient and made sure the final product was exactly how I envisioned. Kendra was amazing and helped with the color and styling. They have taken extra precautions during COVID times to make sure everything is clean, and sanitized and everyone feels completely safe. REQUEST KRISTEN I moved down to socal a couple years ago and found kristen and that has literally been the biggest blessing for my hair! I get blonde and extensions and she is amazing at what she does and is SO SMART. She knows just about everything in the hair world and can help you make your hair everything you want. If you're looking for someone to do your blonde she's mastered that. Also just an amazing hair stylist that is whatever vibe you need her to be! I came here for a color and haircut for the first time. This salon is so cute. I walked in to a comfortable and cozy salon. It's not overcrowded and load like other salons that Ive been to. The decor and ambiance made me feel at home. The music was nice too. My color and haircut came out just the way I wanted. AUBREY knows what she is doing. Ask for her !! I left happy and relaxed. Jacky is amazing and understands color. She's not going to try to talk you into doing something just to nickel and dime you. I love her honesty and her passion about using the best products. Both Jacky and Racahel are flexible and reliable. Ive texted them on a couple last minute occasion to come in for a quick blow dry and style, and they always accommodate. My hair looks grown out as if I had not even had it done. Watch the video and you be the judge. When I brought up my concerns, the owner, I sent her this same video (Emily) explained that this is what the salon considers a partial ROOT highlight touchup. I already had my hair previously bleached . I respect that explanation, but for $240 plus a $50 tip ($290 total), I expected a more noticeable result. She offered to correct it for an additional $50. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision and have a clear understanding of what this salon considers a partial highlight ROOT service.

Thao guided me through the entire process and reassured me that she would keep my hair healthy while also making sure it remained low maintenance. Over the years, I've gone from dark to light and back to dark again. Each time, Thao has been incredibly professional and patient. I remember sending her numerous inspiration photos, and she was always honest about what was achievable with my hair. Without causing any damage, she successfully lightened my hair without it ever becoming brassy. During the appointment, the stylist made several comments that felt unnecessary, judgmental, and uncomfortable. Instead of feeling listened to as a client, I felt dismissed and pressured. A salon appointment should feel professional and respectful, especially when the client is paying several hundred dollars for a service. I also did not feel that my concerns were handled with care during the appointment. I felt uncomfortable continuing, but at the time I did not know how to address it directly. Looking back, I wish I had asked to speak with a manager before the service continued. For a salon charging this price point, I expected a much more respectful and customer-centered experience. Clients should not leave feeling upset, uncomfortable, or regretful after paying over $300. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously and provides better training on communication, professionalism, and how to handle client concerns during a service. Based on this experience, I would not return.

I'm extremely upset that I paid $165 for my toes and nails with tip included to get nails and service of this quality. Had it been regular gel nails, maybe I wouldn't be as upset but it's due to the fact that I PAID EXTRA FOR THE GEL BUILDER TO LAST 3 WEEKS.

Horrible salon. DO NOT GO HERE! Many of the 5 star reviews are fake. If I can save any new clients from going here, I hope this feedback helps. They are accustomed to clients who set the bar very low for themselves, and judging by the owners attitude and willingness to allow anyone off the street such as Kendra to come in and rent a chair...avoid avoid! I have been to many high end salons over many years, and have never experienced such bad quality, attitudes and as many errors as I did here. Lack of knowledge, lack of talent, lack of decorum. My stylist Kendra was unprofessional, rude, and uneducated/ just overall sloppy and far from knowledgable. She made a handful of mistakes and threw an ego fit when it turned out badly. I was mistreated for not liking her work, and for HER laundry list of errors? Ha. Her attitude and skills are bottom of the barrel. No manners, no class! She's a rude pedestrian hair dresser who makes it clear she doesn't care if you like it, and doesn't want to be at your appointment! Will end up gaslighting the client to make up for lack of competence. Refused to find a solution, and let me leave with awful hair with no refund and gave me a tongue lashing on top of it. Thats not the way the rest of the western world does business or treats customers! LOL. Damage: I'm talking black stains on your blonde, choppy haircut, cutting it shorter than you asked. Drying out your hair, not using conditioner or Olaplex etc! Forgetting to lowlight big pieces of hair. Not able to blow-dry your hair completely dry. Guess this girl is fresh out of the back alley beauty school. Gave the choice between awful orange lowlights or dark brown... its because she isn't creative or solution oriented enough to choose any other color on the wheel. I have shown my hair to some actual caring, talented, experienced individuals and they said that what I asked for was very simple! it came down to lack of education & understanding with the stylist and owner on coloring and cutting in general!! But of-course they want to gaslight you to keep your money, these people don't care about other human beings. They just want to take your money and certainly don't care about results of your hair! Will not offer to fix it/ complete what you asked for. I trusted these people with my hair after reading fake reviews from bots and stylists who work there, don't make the same mistake. Remember, they are accustomed to clients who set the bar very low for themselves, and judging by the owners attitude and willingness to allow fraud and just anyone off the street come in and do hair in her salon... they are not gonna last. This review is for a few people who I have seen here. I am going to start with Lindsey who does the skin care there. I have actually been going to her for some time now and I would not trust ANYONE other than Lindsey with my skin. I have incredibly sensitive skin and I love that she uses all organic products. She recommended to me to start using sugaring as it is better for sensitive skin and I loved it! She has done my spray tans which I LOVE because it helps me avoid sun damage. She does such a wonderful job giving me a very natural bronzed sun kissed skin leaving ZERO streaks. When it comes to brow shaping, waxing/sugaring, and spray tans she is so detail oriented; I wouldn't recommend anyone else! For hair, I have been going to Liz since I was 16 (over 10 years). She has done an AMAZING job with my hair and has NEVER disappointed me; clearly otherwise I wouldn't be going to her for so long. The ONE TIME I went to someone else, they completely damaged my hair and I regretted going to someone. Thankfully Liz is incredibly talented and a magician and was able to restore my hair again. Anytime I go in I don't even really have to tell her what to do with my hair, I just tell her to do what she thinks is best and she never fails to have me leaving smiling with how much I love my hair. And her assistant, and right hand, Devin is fabulous! She is so tentative and can predict Liz's every move. Needless to say, Sweeter than Honey is filled with TALENTED people and every visit is magical. I look forward to every visit I have there. I went to Sweeter Than Honey less than a month ago. I'm writing this review so late due to vacation and work, but I finally got around to writing this review. So I wanted to lighten my balayage that I had previously done at a different salon and Jackie (my stylist) gave me some educated advice about what she wanted to do with my hair. I told her that I wanted to lighten and neutralize my balayage (because it was getting brassy) without damaging it more than it already was. She basically told me that it's going to be hard to do -- and I can understand that -- so she gave me a rundown: she was going to 1. Neutralize it by toning it 2. color my roots to a more cooler shade. 3. add more dimension into my hair. Now I was all for it, especially since she gave me a price tag of $130. I thought that was a really good price! She did what she had to do, her assistant was helping her out, but at the end of it all, she charged me $150 instead of the agreement of $130! I couldn't say anything because Jackie told her assistant to charge me while Jackie went to the bathroom or the back or whatever. So I obviously had to pay the amount. When I went home, it didn't look like she did anything. My balayage was not lightened at all, there wasn't any dimension, and my roots didn't even change their tone. It's still pretty warm. I am not going to come back here again, this isn't what I paid for. read more

Although I would seek Cindy's services at any location, it doesn't hurt that Sweeter Than Honey is a darling salon that makes any service a delight. Cindy Perez is a master colorist. First, and most importantly, she listens to her clients and is then able to successfully execute their vision. Her results are always exactly what I want without damage to my hair. She is able to take what the client wants for themselves and produce beautiful hair. Additionally, Cindy has a lovely personality. Her warmth and caring mixed with her passion for creating beautiful hair make an appointment like a visit with a good friend. Her prices are reasonable and she really is the best deal in town. As someone who is VERY concerned with her hair, I wouldn't trust it to just anyone. Cindy is that someone. I am so grateful to have found her and often receive compliments on my color. I am a client of Shelby's and when she informed me that she was moving to a new salon - I packed my bags! I would follow her anywhere! The moment I walked into Sweeter Than Honey, I was instantly charmed and knew she had made the right choice! The atmosphere is relaxing and low key. The décor is bright and cheerful. You can hear the sound of the waterfalls from the nursery out back coming through the open windows. I love that the stylists make their own appointments and that there is no front desk. Shelby is beyond talented and I walk out after every appointment with hair perfection! I am a client of Liz's, I got referred to her by one of my friends. And I am so happy that I found her. My hair looks fabulous every time I walk out the door. I get compliments left and right for my hair color. She always knows what I want and then will give suggestions on what she thinks would look great as well. I have really curly hair and it's hard to find a hair dresser that knows how to work with it. She always takes her time to make sure its perfect when I leave. Kristina does AMAZING color on blondes and beautiful extension placement. I was referred to her by a friend when I moved out here from New Orleans. I had her do my color before I was even moved out and just visiting and I've never used anyone else again since. The salon is precious, complete with a beautiful back courtyard area where you can sit and have your extensions taken out or wait with your foils on. They have wine and beer and they always let me bring my Chihuahua in to sit with me. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice place to relax and have your hair done to perfection! read more

Cindy has taken me from dark brown to blonde from short to extensions when I want my long hair, she's done it all amazingly well for me. I recently went into Sweeter Than Honey to have Kamryn do my hair and had an amazing experience. Her expertise and professionalism are perfectly complemented by the adorable decor of the salon. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted with a smile and before Kamryn did my hair we had a consultation so she could really get a feel for what I wanted (a short, easy bob and natural highlights). I've been coming to Kendra for a year. She's amazing with color, cut, and extensions! I always get compliments on my hair now. She's really pleasant, professional and patient, and has had great suggestions and ideas for me. Whenever I've asked to have something adjusted she's done it without charge. I got my hair done by Kendra Alfonso and I am IN LOVE! I have really been struggling to find someone who takes their time and is so attentive to detail, but after going to Kendra I know I have found that person! Lindsey is sweeter than honey. Seriously .. she's the nicest human being. The spray tans she gives me make me feel like a Greek goddess. And she makes me upper lip as smooth as a babies bottom. Recently had microblading by Jessica Coleman and I'm extremely impressed with the results. Jessica did a great job and left me with eyebrows that look extremely natural. The process was less than two hours with zero discomfort. If you're considering microblading, I would highly recommend Jessica. read more
