Valet is apparently free, but I found street parking in front of OSPI. I initially found SAGE on Yelp, then visited their website to learn more before booking. I really appreciated how transparent they are. Each stylist has a profile with a bio and a picture. The services and individual pricings are listed upfront in the booking portal, which made it easy to choose someone who fit what I was looking for. Price transparency is important to me, and at the very end I was charged exactly what I booked. My stylist was Mikayla, and she was incredibly meticulous/detail-oriented. She spent about 4.5 hours perfecting my Full Highlights, and I never felt like she was rushing through any part of the process. During the consultation, I felt heard. She listened to what I wanted without any judgment or pressure to steer me toward a different outcome. Instead, the conversation felt collaborative, with explanations that helped me make informed decisions. I know for some, having to chat for all that time may be daunting. Mikayla struck the perfect balance between friendly conversation and giving me space. She clearly communicated each step of the process before doing it. My Full Highlights service included foiling, toning, a shadow root, a hair mask, and a full blowout. I'm so happy with how everything turned out!

Colby really took the time to listen to what I wanted and understood exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to keep my long hair while adding movement and shape, and he absolutely nailed it. My hair finally looks the way I had envisioned. Beyond his talent, he was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the appointment. Before I left, he even let me know that if there was anything I'd like adjusted after living with the haircut for a few days, he'd be happy to take care of it. That level of care and attention really stood out. I'm so glad I found both SAGE and Colby. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a stylist who truly listens and delivers.

Aside from a few highlights around my face and on the top of my head, it didn't look like I had recently had my roots highlights touched up at all. My hair looks grown out as if I had not even had it done. Watch the video and you be the judge. When I brought up my concerns, the owner, I sent her this same video (Emily) explained that this is what the salon considers a partial ROOT highlight touchup. I already had my hair previously bleached . I respect that explanation, but for $240 plus a $50 tip ($290 total), I expected a more noticeable result. She offered to correct it for an additional $50. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision and have a clear understanding of what this salon considers a partial highlight ROOT service.

This review took me months to write because reliving it is genuinely upsetting. I want to start by…read moresaying the stylist I saw, Caitlyn, is a sweet person but she destroyed my hair. I went to her in October for a refresh of my highlights. I was already nervous, since my previous stylist had moved away and always took great care of my fine hair, making sure it never got damaged. I told Caitlyn upfront that I was anxious about letting someone new bleach my hair, given a history of stylists frying it, and that I chose her specifically because she's a senior stylist. She reassured me she doesn't use heat dryers and starts with a low developer, so my hair would be fine. Once I was in the chair, I explained exactly what I wanted: a little brighter, a refresh of all my highlights, but keeping the dark root and dimension shown in my before photo. She agreed and got started. She never mentioned pricing, so I assumed it would be around $400 at most. During the appointment, she suggested going through my ends because they looked dark. I said maybe next time, since I wanted to preserve the integrity of my hair. Later, she mentioned she'd gone ahead and done a few extra pieces at the bottom anyway something I never asked for. By the time she finished washing my hair, it was already dark outside, so I told her not to worry about blow-drying it. I went home with wet hair. Even then, it looked extremely blonde, which worried me, but I assumed it was just because it was wet. At checkout, I was shocked: the total came to $650. I left a tip anyway because she was watching the screen as I paid and I felt put on the spot. (Receipts attached.) When I got home, my husband immediately said my hair looked way too blonde and pointed out broken pieces. He was right. Over the next few days, it kept breaking. My hair had taken years to get healthy, and in one appointment it became dry, brittle, and was falling out. The extra strands she did without asking only made the breakage worse. I ended up buying box dye to fix the color myself, since I hated how it looked. As of June 2026, I've had to cut at least 8 inches off, and I'm still working to repair the damage. This experience caused me real distress -- I loved my hair, and I deeply regret trying a new stylist. I'm sharing this so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Even though I only came in for a haircut, she took the time to give me honest advice about my hair. She recommended that I should focus on treating and restoring my hair first, and then come back next time for coloring so the results would look better and healthier. What really impressed me was her thoughtfulness -- she noticed that my roots had grown out unevenly in color, so she went ahead and blended the color to match the rest of my hair. And she didn't charge me anything extra for it, only for the haircut. You can truly tell that she cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. Everyone that works there is so kind, the employees are friendly and helpful. Pricing is competitive for the area and the VIP treatments are absolutely worth it every now and again, although I typically stick with the basic gel pedi. Chairs are comfortable, beverages are complimentary and offered on seating, and the herbs they use for teas and soaks smell incredible. Finding a good nail salon is always a stressful task. Happy to find a place I can count on.

Horrible salon. DO NOT GO HERE! Many of the 5 star reviews are fake. If I can save any new clients from going here, I hope this feedback helps. They are accustomed to clients who set the bar very low for themselves, and judging by the owners attitude and willingness to allow anyone off the street such as Kendra to come in and rent a chair...avoid avoid! I have been to many high end salons over many years, and have never experienced such bad quality, attitudes and as many errors as I did here. Lack of knowledge, lack of talent, lack of decorum. My stylist Kendra was unprofessional, rude, and uneducated/ just overall sloppy and far from knowledgable. She made a handful of mistakes and threw an ego fit when it turned out badly. I was mistreated for not liking her work, and for HER laundry list of errors? Ha. Her attitude and skills are bottom of the barrel. No manners, no class! She's a rude pedestrian hair dresser who makes it clear she doesn't care if you like it, and doesn't want to be at your appointment! Will end up gaslighting the client to make up for lack of competence. Refused to find a solution, and let me leave with awful hair with no refund and gave me a tongue lashing on top of it. Thats not the way the rest of the western world does business or treats customers! LOL. Damage: I'm talking black stains on your blonde, choppy haircut, cutting it shorter than you asked. Drying out your hair, not using conditioner or Olaplex etc! Forgetting to lowlight big pieces of hair. Not able to blow-dry your hair completely dry. Guess this girl is fresh out of the back alley beauty school. Gave the choice between awful orange lowlights or dark brown... its because she isn't creative or solution oriented enough to choose any other color on the wheel. I have shown my hair to some actual caring, talented, experienced individuals and they said that what I asked for was very simple! it came down to lack of education & understanding with the stylist and owner on coloring and cutting in general!! But of-course they want to gaslight you to keep your money, these people don't care about other human beings. They just want to take your money and certainly don't care about results of your hair! Will not offer to fix it/ complete what you asked for. I trusted these people with my hair after reading fake reviews from bots and stylists who work there, don't make the same mistake. Remember, they are accustomed to clients who set the bar very low for themselves, and judging by the owners attitude and willingness to allow fraud and just anyone off the street come in and do hair in her salon... they are not gonna last. This review is for a few people who I have seen here. I am going to start with Lindsey who does the skin care there. I have actually been going to her for some time now and I would not trust ANYONE other than Lindsey with my skin. I have incredibly sensitive skin and I love that she uses all organic products. She recommended to me to start using sugaring as it is better for sensitive skin and I loved it! She has done my spray tans which I LOVE because it helps me avoid sun damage. She does such a wonderful job giving me a very natural bronzed sun kissed skin leaving ZERO streaks. When it comes to brow shaping, waxing/sugaring, and spray tans she is so detail oriented; I wouldn't recommend anyone else! For hair, I have been going to Liz since I was 16 (over 10 years). She has done an AMAZING job with my hair and has NEVER disappointed me; clearly otherwise I wouldn't be going to her for so long. The ONE TIME I went to someone else, they completely damaged my hair and I regretted going to someone. Thankfully Liz is incredibly talented and a magician and was able to restore my hair again. Anytime I go in I don't even really have to tell her what to do with my hair, I just tell her to do what she thinks is best and she never fails to have me leaving smiling with how much I love my hair. And her assistant, and right hand, Devin is fabulous! She is so tentative and can predict Liz's every move. Needless to say, Sweeter than Honey is filled with TALENTED people and every visit is magical. I look forward to every visit I have there. I went to Sweeter Than Honey less than a month ago. I'm writing this review so late due to vacation and work, but I finally got around to writing this review. So I wanted to lighten my balayage that I had previously done at a different salon and Jackie (my stylist) gave me some educated advice about what she wanted to do with my hair. I told her that I wanted to lighten and neutralize my balayage (because it was getting brassy) without damaging it more than it already was. She basically told me that it's going to be hard to do -- and I can understand that -- so she gave me a rundown: she was going to 1. Neutralize it by toning it 2. color my roots to a more cooler shade. 3. add more dimension into my hair. Now I was all for it, especially since she gave me a price tag of $130. I thought that was a really good price! She did what she had to do, her assistant was helping her out, but at the end of it all, she charged me $150 instead of the agreement of $130! I couldn't say anything because Jackie told her assistant to charge me while Jackie went to the bathroom or the back or whatever. So I obviously had to pay the amount. When I went home, it didn't look like she did anything. My balayage was not lightened at all, there wasn't any dimension, and my roots didn't even change their tone. It's still pretty warm. Although I would seek Cindy's services at any location, it doesn't hurt that Sweeter Than Honey is a darling salon that makes any service a delight. Cindy Perez is a master colorist. First, and most importantly, she listens to her clients and is then able to successfully execute their vision. Her results are always exactly what I want without damage to my hair. She is able to take what the client wants for themselves and produce beautiful hair. Additionally, Cindy has a lovely personality. Her warmth and caring mixed with her passion for creating beautiful hair make an appointment like a visit with a good friend. Her prices are reasonable and she really is the best deal in town. As someone who is VERY concerned with her hair, I wouldn't trust it to just anyone. Cindy is that someone. I am so grateful to have found her and often receive compliments on my color. I am a client of Shelby's and when she informed me that she was moving to a new salon - I packed my bags! I would follow her anywhere! The moment I walked into Sweeter Than Honey, I was instantly charmed and knew she had made the right choice! The atmosphere is relaxing and low key. The décor is bright and cheerful. You can hear the sound of the waterfalls from the nursery out back coming through the open windows. I love that the stylists make their own appointments and that there is no front desk. Shelby is beyond talented and I walk out after every appointment with hair perfection! She takes the time to listen to what I want but will also make suggestions based on the texture, etc. of my hair. I highly recommend her and the salon to anyone looking for a change. I am a client of Liz's, I got referred to her by one of my friends. And I am so happy that I found her. My hair looks fabulous every time I walk out the door. I get compliments left and right for my hair color. She always knows what I want and then will give suggestions on what she thinks would look great as well. I have really curly hair and it's hard to find a hair dresser that knows how to work with it. She always takes her time to make sure its perfect when I leave. Kristina does AMAZING color on blondes and beautiful extension placement. I was referred to her by a friend when I moved out here from New Orleans. I had her do my color before I was even moved out and just visiting and I've never used anyone else again since. The salon is precious, complete with a beautiful back courtyard area where you can sit and have your extensions taken out or wait with your foils on. They have wine and beer and they always let me bring my Chihuahua in to sit with me. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice place to relax and have your hair done to perfection! read more

As a long time client of Cindy's I was ecstatic when I walked into her new place! I love the atmosphere at Sweeter Than Honey Salon, SO cute & comfy! Cindy has taken me from dark brown to blonde from short to extensions when I want my long hair, she's done it all amazingly well for me. If my expectations are to high she does a great job of wrangling me back into reality of what my options are without damaging my hair :) I thank her for that, I love my hair! I've been coming to Kendra for a year. She's amazing with color, cut, and extensions! I always get compliments on my hair now. She's really pleasant, professional and patient, and has had great suggestions and ideas for me. Whenever I've asked to have something adjusted she's done it without charge. Lindsey is sweeter than honey. Seriously .. she's the nicest human being. The spray tans she gives me make me feel like a Greek goddess. And she makes me upper lip as smooth as a babies bottom. Recently had microblading by Jessica Coleman and I'm extremely impressed with the results. Jessica did a great job and left me with eyebrows that look extremely natural. The process was less than two hours with zero discomfort. If you're considering microblading, I would highly recommend Jessica. read more
