Depends on the stylist, the length, thickness and color of you hair as in does it need to be bleached and then recolored, etc. Call the salon and discuss it.

Allen is incredibly detail-oriented, and I leave happy with my haircut every single time. The first time I went to Allen was actually to fix my hair from my previous hair person. I was almost in tears because my hair was orange literally the week after I got it done and dropped so much money. my hair felt so dry and looked like I havent gotten my hair done in a year. I tried to tell myself it doesn't look that bad but the more I looked at it, the more upset I got. So I was looking for someone on yelp to help me fix this and came across Moc Hair Studio. The reviews were great and although I was nervous I couldn't stand to look at my hair anymore the way it was so I took the leap of faith and gave it a try. Allen was so informative and let me know what exactly my previous hair person did to make it look like that. He explained what he will do to fix it and throughout the entire process I could tell how meticulous he was. I felt like I was in good hands and after he was done, my hair looked like what I wanted it to look like in the first place!! I was so impressed with his work that I decided the next time I needed my hair done I'm coming back. Fast forward to yesterday.. I wanted a change with my hair so I decided to go back to Allen and see what magic he could work. I wanted to try something a bit different from what I usually go for and I knew Allen could do it but from previous trauma of going to the same person multiple times and never getting exactly what I wanted, I was still scared. Again he calmed my nerves by taking his time and making sure everything looked perfect. Yet, I still had to pay a whooping $90 for it. The owner of the business also seems to be gaslighting and bullying anyone who gives them a negative review on here. I will not be recommending anyone nor will I be returning.

I know my family and I will be going to Aldo for years to come. Before finding Aldo, I was going to a well-known, high-end salon on PCH in Newport Beach. Somewhere along the way, they stopped listening to what I wanted. My hair always looked great when I walked out of the salon, but the moment I washed it myself, I realized the cut just wasn't right. Either it wasn't a good cut, or it simply didn't suit my face. I'm a busy person--I don't have time to spend every morning styling my hair just to make a haircut work. I spent weeks researching salons on Yelp and probably overthought the whole process before finally making an appointment with Aldo. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had found the right person. He's genuine, straightforward, and refreshingly honest--no fluff, no sales pitch, just someone who truly cares about doing great work. The salon has such a fun, welcoming energy, and it's obvious everyone genuinely enjoys working together. Aldo took the time to really listen. We talked at length about what I had liked--and more importantly, what I hadn't liked--about previous cuts. He looked through my inspiration photos, explained what would realistically work with my hair, and was honest about what would and wouldn't flatter my face shape. I appreciated that he didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear. I loved my haircut the day I left the salon, but the real test came after I washed and styled it myself. It still looked fantastic. That's when I knew I'd found my hairstylist. I've since gone back for both cuts and color, and every visit has been just as great. My 14-year-old daughter is also incredibly particular about her hair. She's been to Aldo twice now and has made it very clear that he's the only person she'll let touch her hair. That's about the highest compliment a teenager can give! We're so grateful we found Aldo and the magic he works with our hair. If you're spending hours researching salons like I did, save yourself the time--just book the appointment. I don't think you'll regret it.

I went in twice to get the gems replaced and they just told me to come back tomorrow. If you don't want to fix them, then just tell me that. Don't ask me to come back again on a third day. It's ridiculous.

this is my friend's story please read!!!!!!!!!! " if i could give these terrible horrible monsters and yes i said monsters a 0 star i would. i would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy!!! i went into this salon to get a silver blonde i was "helped" or at least i thought i was being helped by a guy named (ocean). i was aware that my hair would take at least 3 sessions to get to the silver due to me having black/brown hair. i was perfectly fine with that everything started off great until he had his assisant take over while he focused on another client this assisant acted so clueless she didn't know what she was doing to the point where he had to take over again and whispered "go get (blank) out of my bag in my locker" once he rinsed the bleach out there was a ring around my head patches of black spots i was not happy so he claimed he could dye it a dark brown/ blonde i came out with orangish/ toner brown !!!!! on top of my hair coming out absolutely terrible. he left me bald!!!! all around the edges on the side of my hair i've heard of little breakage but nothing like this!!! he knew he messed up so bad he didn't even want me calling the salon that to call him personally and that i didn't have to pay him. i was hysterically crying so bad i almost went into a panic attack so i called to owner (sandy) thinking we could resolve this. she was so rude telling me it was my fault and that he was an independant contractor that theres nothing she can do she even went as far as threatening me with lawyers wanting to sue me for being unhappy " read more

Terrible Experience - Avoid Aynaz at All Costs! I had the worst experience with Aynaz, who claims to be an experienced stylist, but it's all talk. After a disastrous keratin treatment that didn't deliver any of the promised results, she made excuses and offered to reapply the product. But instead, she just blow-dried my hair and sent me on my way, completely ignoring the issue. I waited for the manager to step in, but they never bothered to respond either. To make matters worse, Aynaz even threatened another client who knows me, warning her not to expect future help if I left an honest review. Then, she called me directly to say she would refuse service to me moving forward. Her behavior was completely unprofessional, rude, and downright threatening. I paid $550 for this nightmare, and not only did I not get a refund, but she also cut off half my hair when I only asked for a trim. I feel completely scammed and heartbroken over the damage. Avoid Aynaz--she's inexperienced, dishonest, and a complete scam artist. Don't waste your time or money on her! read more

I recently got hair Botox with Aynaz before my trip to Europe, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Despite facing rainy days, walking over 9 hours a day, going to the beach, and sweating, I experienced zero frizz, an absolute miracle! I've never had such a long-lasting, frizz-free treatment. Normally, after just an hour at a party or after dancing, my hair would frizz up, but not anymore. Before this treatment, I had to iron my hair often, which caused damage, and styling would take me over an hour. In one word. Outstanding!! Ive been going to Alohi (for color) and Dora (for cut) for several years. Finally got around to posting a review - lazy me! Alohi and Dora are both super sweet, kind, great listeners (as to what your hair concerns are), super skilled and talented, and do the most amazing Job with highlights ,color, Brazilian and cuts. Okay first and foremost I have to say, I couldn't get into my yelp so I created a new yelp account just so I could leave this post. People who don't know need to know! Nicole is the way to go. Hi, I am so glad i found Nicole R. She has had so much patients with me, THANK YOU NICOLE. Im always trying to tweak it. My hair has a tendency to turn red or orange. She has been trying different things to get it just right, never complained, always willing to help. I am so glad with the color now, i just love it. Ocean is hands down the best color artist out there with hair. My appointment was canceled the day of, yet I received no text, email, or notification informing me. In fact, at 7:52 a.m. the morning of my appointment (scheduled for 11:15 a.m.), her team texted me confirming details and letting me know what to expect during the service. So, when I arrived and was told my appointment had been canceled due to "miscommunication," I was very confused. What made this even more frustrating was that nowhere on the booking site or Instagram page does it clearly state that new clients are required to complete an email consultation prior to their appointment. After explaining the cancellation, Stephanie quickly asked me to put my hair down so she could assess it and ultimately said she could still fit me in for the service I booked but that I would have to wait because she was busy. During the time slot I had originally booked, she was servicing another client. The most disappointing part of the experience was how cold and unwelcoming the interaction felt. My hair wash was extremely rough, rough enough that the shampoo bottle was even dropped during the service and the entire appointment felt rushed. There was no effort made to make me feel valued as a client. As someone who also works in the beauty industry, I truly believe client experience and genuinely making an effort to talk to your client is important and part of the job. At one point, while going back and forth between me and the other client, she told the other client, "10 more minutes and I'll be all yours," which only reinforced how much of an inconvenience I felt like during my appointment. To be clear, this review is solely based on the customer service experience, not the quality of her work. I'm not seeking a refund. I'm only sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision and in hopes that this feedback is taken seriously by the salon as it seems I'm not the only one with this experience.
