The Caesar salad was crunchy and cheesy, and a good portion size. The oysters were came pre-sauced and were phenomenal. Service was attentive and very friendly. Wowwww what amazing food and drinks! I've been wanting to come here- mainly because of the rave reviews about the negronis- but was wowed with the service, upbeat ambiance, and delicious food. The scallops were so fresh and the sauce they were in was so good I literally was eating it like soup. The wagyu carpaccio was so tender and rich and paired perfectly with grilled bread. For the drinks, I started with their classic negroni. No notes. It was amazing and the ice cube had frozen lemon, lime, and orange peel on it !! For the second drink I wanted to stick with the negroni theme and the waitress recommended the cherry negroni. It was so light and had the perfect hint of cherry. The ambiance is very lively and definitely a bit hard to hear the person across the table from you (and easy to hear the tables next to you) but it's part of the experience. We didn't try the famous pizzas because we weren't super hungry but they looked amazing. Will have to come back to try! read more

First of all - the design of the restaurant itself is so cool. It's rich, emerald green interiors with fun prints to add a bit of color. The prints match the uniforms, which are also very festive. Onto the food. The mortadella pizza is something that I have dreamt about since I tried it. I also really enjoyed the scallop crudo and tuna tartare. There is a pizza called bad first date, and while I have yet to try, the name is hilarious and I have to add it to my rotation soon. As for the drinks, the name Viceversa means there is no right time for an aperitivo - and this is something that I most certainly agree with! I'm a negroni and martini girlie, so this menu speaks to me. I've tried the negroni, the sbagliato, the Martini Doppio - a slightly dirty gibson - and I loved them all. I have been meaning to visit Viceversa since the year started and I can see how it has become one a favorite of many this year. The restaurant has valet parking which is always a plus in that area and it is tastefully decorated. Probably one of my favorite features of the place is the decoration and their negroni, of course. We went on Sunday night near closing time and our drinks took a little to come out, reasons why one star was deducted. The food was flavorful, especially the mortadella and pistachio pizza. The beef carpaccio was a bit salty for our taste, but we do eat low in salt. The meatballs were very delicious though, so I would recommend them. In terms of drinks, I highly recommend the negroni, they do have some takes on the classics, but I have to say their negroni wins the prize here. Service was good, unfortunately our drinks took a bit too long and we finished our meal before our last drink arrived. The local is small and gets easily packed, so plan ahead. They have a nice bar vibe/younger crowd, but you can have a mix of everything. read more

Any place with relation to Jaguar Sun is something I need to try. Vice versa is a small space located in a hotel but very cozy, stylish atmosphere, perfect for date night or just grabbing a drink at the bar. We came for dinner and tried the oysters & the scallops - both fresh and delicious though the scallops I thought was a smaller portion. For dinner, we split the spicy pepperoni and clam pizza, both were amazing and cooked to perfection. I can't pick a favorite but both were great. Last but not least was the pistachio gelato - AMAZING. Either the pizza or the gelato was the star of the show. Aperitivo culture was born out of the booming 60's in Italy. Whether you were an young industrialist in Turin or an up-and-coming finance bro in Milan, you wanted to spend your newfound wealth on good food, good friends and good cocktails. The aperitif and pizza culture bestowed upon us by ViceVersa celebrates the 60's phenomenon and adapts it to the bougie, Brickell/Coconut Grove/Midtown arrivistes of today. The sungold tomato pizza was fantastically executed. The dough was kneaded gently by expert pizzaiolo hands and the tartness of the delicate cherry tomatoes balanced the richness of the guanciale. What can I say about a tall drink of aperitivo? Like a Botero, the volume is its appeal. In this case, one could be enough. But number two adds that much more to the fun. Back in the day, the curious, vibrant red color from Campari came from crushed lady bugs. The only ladies being crushed nowadays at ViceVersa are the ones caught in the throng waiting to eat in the overcrowded dining room. I really enjoyed my experience at ViceVersa. The drinks were yummy, you can see the picture of my margarita attached. I didn't get pictures of my meal because we were hungry. We shared the meatballs and the spicy pepperoni. Both items were delicious. I would definitely go back. I just don't think I would go too often because of the location and the lack of parking. The place is located in the lobby of the Elser hotel in downtown Miami. It's a great location to grab dinner and drinks before any event at the Kaseya center. The location is nice. If you're looking for a hidden gem in downtown, Vice Versa is the spot. I was a huge fan of Jaguar Sun and was honestly a little sad when it closed. But once I heard about Vice Versa opening, I knew I had to check it out. After at least five visits in the past couple of months, I can confidently say this place is amazing. The location is perfect--right by the Kaseya Center, making it my go-to spot before events or games. Just a heads up, since the place is pretty intimate, it's best to make a reservation. It's tough to just walk in without one. Now, let's talk drinks. I've tried a few of their cocktails: the Italian Vice, Giostra d'Alcol, Martini Doppio, and the Affogato Martini. The Italian Vice is refreshing, with a little pepper on top that gives it a fun twist. The Giostra d'Alcol is a Lambrusco-based drink, which I thought was interesting, but it's more of a one-and-done for me. The martinis, though, are where it's at. I loved the Martini Doppio and can see it becoming my regular go-to. But the Affogato Martini--wow. It comes with ice cream at the bottom, and they pour the coffee over it at your table. It's so good that I went to an event, came back, and had another one. The food? Incredible. I love that they offer both raw dishes and great pizza. From the raw bar, I've tried the oysters, royal red shrimp, scallops, and carpaccio. The shrimp, with its tangy relish, are a must-order. The scallops are served raw with a delicious sauce that I honestly could drink straight. Both are amazing. The carpaccio is fresh and light, and the Caesar salad and meatballs are definitely worth ordering, too. When it comes to pizza, Vice Versa hits it out of the park. The spicy pepperoni with hot honey is the perfect combo of sweet and salty. I also really love the mushroom pizza--it's a white pizza, and the flavors are on point. And let's not forget about the Monday night special: the smash burger. This is hands down the best burger I've ever had. Everything is made in-house, from the buns to the sauce, and it comes with pickles on the side. I'll be coming back for this burger over and over again. Had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Elser Hotel where ViceVersa is located. We were in the bar every night of our stay. The ambiance is dark and moody which is my vibe! It's not a very large place however we managed to get sitting at the bar every night besides one. Let's start with the staff, they are absolutely wonderful! The bartenders Shauna, Carlos, Lucy, John and the others were the best!!! By our second night they knew exactly what we wanted to drink and even suggested more amazing cocktails. Their suggestion of food options were spot on. The spicy pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad and smashburgers were delicious. We had the pizzas and salad several times. They really make you feel like family in here. We hated to leave and come home. And Keenan is the honorary host (one of the best patrons) and was a wealth of information. Both the ceasar and the fennel salad hit but i'm specifically referring to the fennel salad. it's bomb dot com. it's bright, it's refreshing, it's tangy, it's crunchy, it's salty but not too salty (thanks to the olives), i mean i absolutely love it. Pizzas are creative and delicious, loving the mortadella pie - it isn't something i would typically order but it was recommend and i appreciated the deviation from status quo. Drinks are also tasty. To start, the hostess is not accommodating to your request to have another table, they put in the tiniest table surrounded by other diners inches away while there were plenty of roomier tables empty. The meatballs had to be returned, they were like golfballs covered in sauce, dry, hard and tasted simply awful. The pizzas crust was pure charcoal but the server was very nice and was always willing to help. They management was also gracious in inviting us to a delicious gelato. By the way if you ask for Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on your food they charge you for that. read more

Located inside the Elser hotel this restaurant is small but mighty. It's a cool relaxed restaurant vibe with a modern twist. The servers look like they're wearing cool streetwear and the music is great. The "let's grab a bite after work" vibes are amazing. But, don't let the casual nature of this restaurant fool you. The seating is close and intimate to those around you since it is a smaller place but the staff here was so attentive but not over bearing. They could tell when you just want to talk to the people you're with or when you need something. After recommending me some popular items on the menu after each coarse I had the plates and utensils were removed of the table and new plates and utensils replaced the used ones. The table was wiped between each coarse as well. The drinks! I mean they were amazing. I had the sbagliato which is a classic drink from Italy and it was refreshing yet punchy. The food was crazy good. Highly recommend the Wagyu carpaccio with the cured egg yolk shaved on top and the aioli on the bottom is delicious. I don't know what they toast the bread they use for the carpaccio in but it is addictive. The duck fat flatbread is dangerously good I recommend getting the Stracciatella to dip in it. The warm flatbread fresh from the pizza oven with the coolness of the creamy cheese. Amazing! The pizza is also delicious. I got the spicy pepperoni pizza with this chili and honey and it was great. To be honest I wish I would have gotten something more adventurous for the pizza but, it was still good. Now, the dessert "chefs kiss" the housemade gelato served with some sea salt and olive oil absolutely delicious 10/10 highly recommend. My only qualm is the parking but, it's Miami it's always like that. Will be coming back again to try more pizza! read more

Located right inside the Elser Hotel, it's easy and convenient if you're staying here. They are only open for dinner and have happy hours during the week, up to Thursdays. It was very busy when we got there around 6pm. As an out of towner, drinks were a little different....beers were different. They did have martinis and daiquiris though. We ordered oysters, which were absolutely superb! And then we ordered the spicy pepperoni pizza, and somehow I missed that it had spicy honey on it...so I was not a fan of the sweetness on my pizza.
