Service here was fantastic! Great vibe in the restaurant. I had the spicy pepperoni pizza and was a little too much pepperoni. It was overpowering and I do not recommend. My party had another pizza's and was delish so I'm optimistic of other menu items. read more

ViceVersa Miami - Spicy Pepperoni - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Miami, Florida

I loved Jaguar Sun & Sunny's is one of my go-to's so how in the world could ViceVersa fail me so terribly?!? Perhaps it as because it was during WMC on Ultra weekend when my boyfriend and I arrived early for our Friday night dinner reservation. The vibe in the hotel lobby in which the restaurant is located was upbeat and full of out of towners. Once you stepped into ViceVersa, you got a sense of the much missed Jaguar Sun vibe. The hostess was lovely with a beaming smile & although we were close to 30min early, she sat us immediately. Sadly, our waiter was not nearly as lively & seemed to grow more & more apathetic as the night wore on. We looked over the cocktail menu & ordered what tickled our fancies & since we weren't terribly hungry, decided to start with some crudos: -KAMPACHI WITH CHERRY BOMB RELISH: literally inedible... why anyone would decide to shovel heaps of what can best be described ad tasting like Tostito's jarred salsa all over some beautiful white raw fish is beyond me. You barely knew the fish was there are you struggled to taste anything other than the overwhelmingly strong tomato/onion/pepper taste from the "relish". Will NEVER order this abomination again. When our waiter returned, I told him we were done & without blinking an eye, he took the almost completely untouched plate back & did not even bother to ask what was wrong of if they could do anything to make up for it. This guy literally has ZERO training. -BLUE FIN TUNA TARTARE WITH CALABRIAN CHILI VINAIGRETTE: slightly better than the last but again, the beautiful, ruby red cubes of tuna were absolutely drowning in what tasted more like a soy-onion umami bomb glaze. Inedible as well & was sent back with only 2 tiny tastes. Again, the waiter said nothing & apparently could not care less that we had now sent back 2 dishes barely touched. We kept our fingers crossed for the 3rd (& last because we were OVER IT) -SCALLOP WITH TOMATO WATER & CELERY LEAF: looked beautiful & by FAR my favourite of the 3 (although that's not saying much). The quality & delicate taste of the scallop was actually detectable on this one! hooray! As if the disappointment in the food wasn't enough, when I asked for a dry & dirty gin martini, the waiter looked at me like I had 3 heads. "Dry AND dirty?!?" He asked with a puzzled look on his face... "Correct", I said. "Light on the vermouth & add olive brine & olives". He seemed to want to tell me I was wrong but took off for the bar anyways. A little while later, he brought back the martini & a small, porcelain ramekin filled with ice & 3 olives with a toothpick on the side. Is this meant to be funny or was he just playing a practical joke on me for the heck of it? As I imagined they would, the moment I tried to pierce an olive with the pick, it went flying one way while the crushed ice flew the other. We ended up grabbing the olives with our fingers to impale and pop in our drinks. Why they decided to make this a DIY activity, I'll never know but it was a super annoying way to end the meal. Between the lackluster service from the waiter who seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else but there, to the over priced & underwhelming crudos & the basic drinks, I am SHOCKED at how little we enjoyed ourselves not to mention how expensive it was... The fact that they did not even MENTION removing the 2 dishes we didn't eat was crazy to me. Terribly apathetic service. Maybe it was an off day but unless something extraordinary happens, I don't see myself coming back anytime soon. read more

Wowwww what amazing food and drinks! I've been wanting to come here- mainly because of the rave reviews about the negronis- but was wowed with the service, upbeat ambiance, and delicious food. The scallops were so fresh and the sauce they were in was so good I literally was eating it like soup. The wagyu carpaccio was so tender and rich and paired perfectly with grilled bread. For the drinks, I started with their classic negroni. No notes. It was amazing and the ice cube had frozen lemon, lime, and orange peel on it !! For the second drink I wanted to stick with the negroni theme and the waitress recommended the cherry negroni. It was so light and had the perfect hint of cherry. The ambiance is very lively and definitely a bit hard to hear the person across the table from you (and easy to hear the tables next to you) but it's part of the experience. We didn't try the famous pizzas because we weren't super hungry but they looked amazing. Will have to come back to try! read more

From the team at Jaguar Sun and bartender Valentino Longo, a star was born! The star, would be ViceVersa Miami. This spot is a total dream. If you want an aperitivo, this is you place. If you want a pizza, this is your place. If you want to dabble in crudos from the raw bar, this is your place. Most importantly, if you want to experience great food and the kind of friendly and welcoming service you can expect from the team at Jaguar Sun, this is your place as well. First of all - the design of the restaurant itself is so cool. It's rich, emerald green interiors with fun prints to add a bit of color. The prints match the uniforms, which are also very festive. Onto the food. The mortadella pizza is something that I have dreamt about since I tried it. I also really enjoyed the scallop crudo and tuna tartare. There is a pizza called bad first date, and while I have yet to try, the name is hilarious and I have to add it to my rotation soon. As for the drinks, the name Viceversa means there is no right time for an aperitivo - and this is something that I most certainly agree with! I'm a negroni and martini girlie, so this menu speaks to me. I've tried the negroni, the sbagliato, the Martini Doppio - a slightly dirty gibson - and I loved them all. Welcome to the neighborhood, ViceVersa! We love you already! read more

Great decision of the weekend! The inside is dimly lit with a chill atmosphere. The pizza dough was so soft and delicious and the pepperoni had a crispy taste and was full of flavor. Please ignore how the crust looks in the picture as it was actually a great pizza. Would recommend for a happy hour (5pm-7pm). Definitely going back to try more pizza flavors! read more

I was a BIG fan of Jaguar Sun and was devasted when they closed. However, when I heard about ViceVersa being from the team behind Jaguar Sun, I was SO excited to give it a try! I went on a saturday night with my husband and was able to secure a resy 2 days in advance. The place in general reminded me so much of Jaguar. Same vibes: tiny place, great (and kinda loud) music, dim lights, cool decor. First impressions were the best possible! I had an espresso martini that was a 8/10 in my opinion. It was good, but Ive had better ones. My husband had the Italian beer and loved it. For food we ordered the Wagyu Carpaccio that was SURPRISINGLY good - very tasty and creamy. And the margherita pizza that is a very well executed neapolitan style pizza. Service was also great so nothing really disappointed. Experience was 10/10 and I will definitely go back to try the other pizza flavours! read more

I do not get impressed easily in Miami, but this was worth it. Between the wine selection (iykyk), the quality of the pizza, the speed of the service, and the people watching (we sat at a high table in the lobby), I would come here all the time. A great place for food and wine. I would come here by myself just to get away. I can't say I would love sitting directly in the restaurant as it's small and dark (yet elegant). The lobby table kept it entertaining with excellent food and wine. read more

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Miami! I could eat the carpaccio every day of my life. The drinks were refreshing and creative. The mortadella pizza was so unique and creamy. The Caesar salad was crunchy and cheesy, and a good portion size. The oysters were came pre-sauced and were phenomenal. Service was attentive and very friendly. He was honest and gave us genuine reviews and recommendations. The ambience is dark and mysterious, great date vibes. read more

I'm at a loss for words at how good this place is. When you deliver high quality drinks and food with an intimate atmosphere you've created something special. We had some negronis, stracciatella , carpaccio (ordered it twice just wow) meatballs, and the pistachio gelato. I highly recommend everything you really can't go wrong. This place is a gem, definitely one of my new favorites! read more

I have been meaning to visit Viceversa since the year started and I can see how it has become one a favorite of many this year. The restaurant has valet parking which is always a plus in that area and it is tastefully decorated. Probably one of my favorite features of the place is the decoration and their negroni, of course. We went on Sunday night near closing time and our drinks took a little to come out, reasons why one star was deducted. The food was flavorful, especially the mortadella and pistachio pizza. The beef carpaccio was a bit salty for our taste, but we do eat low in salt. The meatballs were very delicious though, so I would recommend them. In terms of drinks, I highly recommend the negroni, they do have some takes on the classics, but I have to say their negroni wins the prize here. Service was good, unfortunately our drinks took a bit too long and we finished our meal before our last drink arrived. The local is small and gets easily packed, so plan ahead. They have a nice bar vibe/younger crowd, but you can have a mix of everything. read more

Would give 5 starts but too limited of a menu. That can be a good thing but u need to hit on all dishes if so. If I could give 4.5 I would. Location is great for a heat game but not for a Sat night as it's not the best hotel it's attached to. 5th st is not in a great area read more

Any place with relation to Jaguar Sun is something I need to try. Vice versa is a small space located in a hotel but very cozy, stylish atmosphere, perfect for date night or just grabbing a drink at the bar. We came for dinner and tried the oysters & the scallops - both fresh and delicious though the scallops I thought was a smaller portion. For dinner, we split the spicy pepperoni and clam pizza, both were amazing and cooked to perfection. I can't pick a favorite but both were great. Last but not least was the pistachio gelato - AMAZING. Either the pizza or the gelato was the star of the show. Our server was attentive with great recommendations, need to come back for drinks. read more

We went on a Monday night to specificity get the burger (only served on Monday nights) we had to wait 10 minutes for our 6:30pm reservation it was packed. We sat and immediately ordered three burgers, they only had 8 left! It was not even 7pm. So go early if you want a burger. We also loved the pizza (margarita) the Caesar salad and the blue tuna ceviche . The food was out sanding. But the burger is only a cheese burger (with onion, sauce cheddar cheese , pickles) they do not have fries. The restaurant is in the lobby of the Elser hotel across from Bayside , parking was $20 in the hotel garage read more

Aperitivo culture was born out of the booming 60's in Italy. Whether you were an young industrialist in Turin or an up-and-coming finance bro in Milan, you wanted to spend your newfound wealth on good food, good friends and good cocktails. The aperitif and pizza culture bestowed upon us by ViceVersa celebrates the 60's phenomenon and adapts it to the bougie, Brickell/Coconut Grove/Midtown arrivistes of today. The sungold tomato pizza was fantastically executed. The dough was kneaded gently by expert pizzaiolo hands and the tartness of the delicate cherry tomatoes balanced the richness of the guanciale. What can I say about a tall drink of aperitivo? Like a Botero, the volume is its appeal. In this case, one could be enough. But number two adds that much more to the fun. Back in the day, the curious, vibrant red color from Campari came from crushed lady bugs. The only ladies being crushed nowadays at ViceVersa are the ones caught in the throng waiting to eat in the overcrowded dining room. Considering the quality of the food, attention and unique experience, quite possibly, it might be worth the pain. read more

The off menu tuna tartar is phenomenal ! Doesn't last, but if you ask and it's available, highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my experience at ViceVersa. The drinks were yummy, you can see the picture of my margarita attached. I didn't get pictures of my meal because we were hungry. We shared the meatballs and the spicy pepperoni. Both items were delicious. I would definitely go back. I just don't think I would go too often because of the location and the lack of parking. The place is located in the lobby of the Elser hotel in downtown Miami. It's a great location to grab dinner and drinks before any event at the Kaseya center. The location is nice. Our server was rough around the edges but then he warmed up and he was a good time and a good server. read more

One of the most anticipated Miami restaurant openings of 2024 and happy to report it lived up to the hype! Vibes inside are dimly lit, stylish, and intimate - although a little bit loud given the crowd for the size of the space. This place was packed, but the staff were so incredibly accommodating to my large party. I was super excited about their cocktail menu - creative, diverse, and elevated, with a clear focus on artistry. I got the affogato martini and loved it! The pizzas were all incredible as well and I could see creativity again reflected in the options; my favorites were the Spicy Pepperoni and the Clam pizza! read more

From the team behind Sunny's and Jaguar Sun (will be forever missed), ViceVersa is stellar. Hidden gem in the Elser Hotel. Quaint and cozy with a bustling bar and tables close to one another - gives you a NYC restaurant vibe. Quite loud but a neighborhood feel for ambience. Started with the snapper tartare which was fresh with nice citrus vineagrette. Fennel salad was unique and flavorful and the star of the night was the Clam Pizza - delicious with a little spicy kick to it. Add attentive and friendly service and well made Negroni and Margarita -- that's a thumbs up from me. read more

A little bigger that your average hole in the wall but not without that exclusive, small, only cool people know about this place type of vibe. I hate to be short but everything was great. Def go try it. We ordered the meatballs and focaccia and 10/10. I almost wished we ordered doubles of each. The pizza, omg. We ordered the Mortadella and thankfully we had the apps first because I would have fought one my friends on site for an extra slice. Yes it was that good. The dessert was the perfect sweet ending it was an olive oil topped gelato which was creamy and delicious. read more

If you're looking for a hidden gem in downtown, Vice Versa is the spot. I was a huge fan of Jaguar Sun and was honestly a little sad when it closed. But once I heard about Vice Versa opening, I knew I had to check it out. After at least five visits in the past couple of months, I can confidently say this place is amazing. The location is perfect--right by the Kaseya Center, making it my go-to spot before events or games. Just a heads up, since the place is pretty intimate, it's best to make a reservation. It's tough to just walk in without one. Now, let's talk drinks. I've tried a few of their cocktails: the Italian Vice, Giostra d'Alcol, Martini Doppio, and the Affogato Martini. The Italian Vice is refreshing, with a little pepper on top that gives it a fun twist. The Giostra d'Alcol is a Lambrusco-based drink, which I thought was interesting, but it's more of a one-and-done for me. The martinis, though, are where it's at. I loved the Martini Doppio and can see it becoming my regular go-to. But the Affogato Martini--wow. It comes with ice cream at the bottom, and they pour the coffee over it at your table. It's so good that I went to an event, came back, and had another one. The food? Incredible. I love that they offer both raw dishes and great pizza. From the raw bar, I've tried the oysters, royal red shrimp, scallops, and carpaccio. The shrimp, with its tangy relish, are a must-order. The scallops are served raw with a delicious sauce that I honestly could drink straight. Both are amazing. The carpaccio is fresh and light, and the Caesar salad and meatballs are definitely worth ordering, too. When it comes to pizza, Vice Versa hits it out of the park. The spicy pepperoni with hot honey is the perfect combo of sweet and salty. I also really love the mushroom pizza--it's a white pizza, and the flavors are on point. And let's not forget about the Monday night special: the smash burger. This is hands down the best burger I've ever had. Everything is made in-house, from the buns to the sauce, and it comes with pickles on the side. I'll be coming back for this burger over and over again. Thanks, Vice Versa, for bringing something fresh and exciting to downtown. The vibe is laid-back yet elegant, and the food is top-notch. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! read more

Amazing Pizza in Miami I will be there soon with my hubby. I was told the pizza is a must try.

Had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Elser Hotel where ViceVersa is located. We were in the bar every night of our stay. The ambiance is dark and moody which is my vibe! It's not a very large place however we managed to get sitting at the bar every night besides one. Let's start with the staff, they are absolutely wonderful! The bartenders Shauna, Carlos, Lucy, John and the others were the best!!! By our second night they knew exactly what we wanted to drink and even suggested more amazing cocktails. Their suggestion of food options were spot on. The spicy pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad and smashburgers were delicious. We had the pizzas and salad several times. They really make you feel like family in here. We hated to leave and come home. And Keenan is the honorary host (one of the best patrons) and was a wealth of information. We can't wait to come back to Miami just to visit this place again. Thanks everyone for a remarkable time! read more

One of the best and most amazing bars I have ever been to. Service is incredible, food is incredible and the cocktails are world class. Already one of my favorite bars ever! Get one of their delicious pizzas, some fresh oysters, and a crudos... it's like magic in real life. In terms of drink... You have to try their Negroni delicious ! Food is excellent. They may have the best salad in town, at present. Both the ceasar and the fennel salad hit but i'm specifically referring to the fennel salad. it's bomb dot com. it's bright, it's refreshing, it's tangy, it's crunchy, it's salty but not too salty (thanks to the olives), i mean i absolutely love it. Pizzas are creative and delicious, loving the mortadella pie - it isn't something i would typically order but it was recommend and i appreciated the deviation from status quo. Drinks are also tasty. Vibe is sultry and loungy but not dark and not too loud. Service is superb, every time we go, they're very attentive. Great time! read more

Delicious pizza, carpaccio and Caesar salad. Great service and lively atmosphere. Will be back.

To start, the hostess is not accommodating to your request to have another table, they put in the tiniest table surrounded by other diners inches away while there were plenty of roomier tables empty. The meatballs had to be returned, they were like golfballs covered in sauce, dry, hard and tasted simply awful. The pizzas crust was pure charcoal but the server was very nice and was always willing to help. They management was also gracious in inviting us to a delicious gelato.
