Today I broke from the normal Monday routine. 17 Mar '26. It is a cold morning and not just by Houston standards. It's 45 degrees F with strong winds. I arrive at Memorial Park at 5:45 am (again not my normal routine) and I embark on a 3 mile fast walk in the dark. Afterwards, I ease over to the Memorial Park Conservancy and sit outside the patio as the sun is slowly greeting the morning. It's still before 8 am so I decide to wait it out until Vibrant opens. I make my way in and greeted politely by a smiling cheerful lady. I tell her I'll have coffee so I can sit outside and enjoy this cold windy weather (and yes I really do mean it when I say enjoy this weather). Soon enough Houston will be oven hot for the remainder of the year so enjoy it while I can. The pleasant barista describes the coffee I'll be drinking. Even though I probably didn't need to know the intricacies of it, still it was nice that she took an element of pride in what she served. I found my seat outside on this cold morning and sipped enjoying the rising sun on my face. When I went back for 2 refills, she cheerfully greeted me again and offered more insight of their breakfast offerings. I selected the omelet with lion's mane mushroom with sorghum toast, and of course with their delicious coffee. It didn't disappoint. My Monday wasn't planned. It was spontaneous when I woke up early to the cold windy weather. Sometimes all we need is a smile and a kind word. Vibrant's happy barista seemed genuine and warm. It was the perfect prescription to greet the day. Sure I could have easily introduced myself. There's occasions when some things are better left unsaid. Thus giving us an opportunity to return and replicate this beautiful morning. Vibrant and their barista along with the bright morning sunlight made my day. read more

I like the concept of a cafe right in the middle of Memorial Park. The bathroom and water makes it a nice stop on your walk/run. I tried their latte with rose syrup. It's interesting because I usually don't see rose syrup being offered at cafes so I'm surprised that this place carries it! The latte wasn't filled all the way to the top which was.... Not ideal. Wow! I'm so happy I discovered this restaurant on TikTok! Coming from Los Angeles, it's so difficult to find a seed-oil free restaurant! I love that they use reverse osmosis water (complimentary) and pasture raised eggs. This restaurant is using quality ingredients that are real food! Not this "natural and artificial flavor" stuff 99% of restaurants use. For food and drink my husband and I ordered the strawberry matcha and a mocha. *Tip- if you need your drink sweeter ask for maple syrup! For food we ordered the avocado toast and the pancakes! Both were delicious! Because they don't use seed oils, there wasn't bloating or inflammation after eating! Yay! The restaurant is clean and spacious. While I cannot speak for the food, I can't say I'm eager to try it based on my experience with their drinks. I was very excited to try this place for many reasons. It's in a great location, settled amidst the nature of Memorial Park. The interior is super cute, with a clean, bright aesthetic and wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows. Both of these aspects met my expectations--I thought the ambiance was lovely. It's a great place to settle in on a weekend morning and do some work, or to wind down after a walk around the park. The service was also quick. But unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives for me. I ordered an iced matcha latte with rose flavoring and cashew milk (which is their default). At nearly $9, I was just hoping that I would somewhat get my money's worth. However, I can say fairly confidently that this was the worst matcha latte I've ever had. For one, I could not taste any matcha at all. I was so surprised, because the color didn't look too bad when it came out, but nope--there was simply no flavor there. They also completely forgot to add the rose, which I paid for. And the texture of the drink was super unpleasant. It was simultaneously watery and powdery. Like, I could feel powder settling in my throat. Overall, the drink tasted just like powdery, unsweet cashew milk. I actually cringed upon my first sip. I don't use this word lightly, but I hated it. Also, the water cups smelled like wet dog. Maybe I will come back one day to try other menu items, but I am really disappointed in this place so far. The food was good, but I'm still stuck on being asked for a tip and then being told getting me a spoon wasn't someone's job. My food was brought to the table without a utensil. Since it was my first time here, I asked where I could find a spoon. The employee said, "Inside." When I asked if he could grab one for me, he told me he was too busy and that it wasn't his job. Maybe it's just me, but if you're bringing food to the table, helping a customer get a spoon seems like part of the experience. read more

Love this coffee shop! They have a great healthy menu with a good variety of options. I love the chia pudding and tacos. The waiters are helpful and kind. Unfortunately the WiFi can be spotty and they don't really have outlets to charge up but otherwise it's a good vibe and not too loud. read more

We had very high hopes when visiting Houston from out of town to try this organic cafe/coffee shop. We went out of our way to go and were very disappointed. The staff are all very cold and unfriendly. We ordered a matcha latte, espresso, veggie muffins, chicken sausage omelette and one egg and one beef taco. The latte was $7.50 and was very chalky. I ordered it with honey it was completely unsweetened. I ended up requesting they make me something else. Got the mocha and it was also a disappointment. Pretty much no flavor. Just milk with a tiny hint of coco and coffee in the aftertaste. The omelette was actually gross. Kind of slimy. The tacos were small.. we ate them but again, just nothing positive to say. All of that and we spent almost $50. What a disappointment and a waste of time and money. Two thumbs down. read more

Had to come try this location as I love the Fairview one! As the weathers gotten nicer it was such a great place to visit in memorial park and I saw their outdoor seating getting a lot of use. I got the chicken tacos and they were absolutely delicious, the chipotle cashew crema as well, and two was a perfect filling portion! Everything tasted very refreshing. My girlfriend got the sweet potato hash and enjoyed it thoroughly. I really enjoyed their sweet potato cassava tortillas as well! I can't wait to come back it was such a nice experience. They have plenty of parking but it can get a bit packed in the lot. It's metered parking as well. read more

I can't speak for the food, but if you are going to be a coffee shop - you have to... well... serve good coffee. I can get wanting to give in to new age sentiments and be dairy free, but for the majority of us (who drink milk fyi) you have to at least provide the most analogous whole milk alternative - oat milk. So when the server, with a whiff of superiority, motioned to their hemp milk option for my cappuccino, I was not expecting the most vile liquid to ever enter my mouth in Houston. I recently stopped by this cafe while on a walk at Memorial Park, and honestly, it was just okay. The space is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it a convenient spot to relax if you're out on a walk or run. However, the selection of non-coffee drinks felt really limited, and the options they did have felt pretty basic. I was particularly disappointed by the Iced Matcha - it was $7 for an 8oz drink which was overpriced and didn't feel worth it. I did try their Root Veggie Muffin and i'm a fan of vegan muffins but this one was quite boring. To elevate it I would recommend Vibrant adds mini chocolate chips or a simple, not too sweet icing on top to elevate the flavor of the muffin. I do appreciate that they make a lot of their items in-house, but overall, the cafe didn't stand out. It's a decent stop if you're nearby, but nothing special. My experience was mostly based on a quick break for a small snack and I was seeking a refreshing drink. I do want to note they do have other food items and my friend did order a braised beef taco. I absolutely LOVE the location off Shepherd, so I was pleasantly surprised to see another location open near Memorial Park. The space is beautifully minimalist with plenty of natural light. I had one of my children with me last time, so I asked the cashier what would be less messy: their special toast with jam (didn't know the consistency of the jam) or one of the muffins (didn't know if it was super crumbly). He suggested the toast with jam for something like $14, and I got a piece of damp, heavy bread with a huge slop of strawberry jam. It was impossible to eat without getting severely messy. For $14, I would've expected a lot more too. We ended up throwing it out. Otherwise, I do like the place! read more

Advertising in the establishment, social media and the website that they are gluten free is wild. This no longer a safe gf facility because they are replacing the gf flour with "organic grain flour" because they think celiac is just due to chemicals in the food and not due to wheat, barley and rye. So if you're celiac or have a wheat allergy, this is no longer a safe option!!! Please beware of hidden gluten and risk for cross contamination! It's not safe to have even 1 product that has gluten when advertising as a gluten free place. read more

We have been loyal Vibrant customers for a long time at the Montrose location. We tried the new memorial park location for the first time today and the food was great as always but I was disappointed they do not have high chairs. For a restaurant in a park right next to the arboretum (which is crawling with children) seems like a mistake to not have family-friendly options! Also there is very limited indoor seating and lots of it was taken up by individuals on their laptops not even eating/drinking. So many people with their hands full of food didn't have places to sit. Would be a good idea to institute a rule that tables should only be reserved in 60 minute intervals to avoid it getting turned into a workspace! read more

I thought Vibrant was gluten free, since their website has said so (see photo) but the Houston Gluten free community has made me aware that Vibrant is now not celiac friendly, and they changed things up without any major announcements which is pretty problematic when it comes to food safety. To make things worse, they are now replying in a very rude fashion to people who DM them about things not being gluten free claiming it was never meant to be for celiacs Edited to add: ive been a customer for YEARS, but not for the taste of the food ..just for the ingredients. Such a great place for breakfast!!! I love how fresh the food tastes. You can definitely tell they are using high quality ingredients. There are great choices for people with allergies, especially to dairy or gluten, which is awesome! It is perfect that this restaurant is next to a park because you have great views and can go for a nice walk after eating. The inside is also super adorable, great for taking aesthetic photos. This is my favorite place in houston. Everything we've gotten is good. Only complaint is that they took short rib tacos off the menu and I wish they were open for dinner. Some of my favorites are the avocado toast with chili crisp (spicy and messy), the golden milk latte, and the GF crispy chicken sandwich. Servers are all nice and the atmosphere is great. Especially after walking in the park. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends but the food only takes about 15-20 min to come out. We accidentally went on Mother's Day and it took 45 but that was a special occasion. read more

I'm surprised this restaurant doesn't have 5 stars off the bat! I've never had a bad meal here. I've had a variety of things on the menu. My favorite it the gnocchi but I recently tried the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. I love knowing I'm eating completely healthy here. You can't even tell it's gluten and dairy free! I came here the first time, and I really enjoyed the location and ambiance of the coffee shop so much that I decided to invite a friend to come check it out. As I was ordering my drink, I took about two seconds to see what milk I wanted and to my unfortunate surprise, the person who was taking our order ran out of patience and suggested to take my order in Spanish. I was confused about that remark since I had already ordered in English. The person who made that remark was wearing a mask and taking orders in the morning of Juneteenth day.
