You walk in and this place is gorgeous. The real star of the show is the pizza display. I had the pepperoni pizza and the deep dish. Both had crispy crusts, nice texture, they pull apart well, soft yet crispy. The sauce isn't overpowering, it allows for the other ingredients to be front and center. The pepperoni tastes fresh, there isn't an excessive amount of cheese. The pepperoni to cheese ration is perfect. Every bite is guaranteed to be perfection. This place is conveniently located to my house - could be a good or bad thing :p The few times I've gone, it's been consistently busy so it may be hard to find a table depending on what time of day you come. During the lunch time period, it gets packed with people who work in the area so I suggest either calling ahead for takeout or coming during the off hours. Their pizza is delicious! Nothing like a Detroit style pizza :) The ratio of the ingredients in their slices is perfect and cooked to a perfect crust that is not insanely dripping in oil. I love the simplicity of the menu, to me that helps them focus on perfecting their speciality. I have yet to try their wings and other food items - looking forward to a future visit. read more

We were excited to try this pizza spot as it's close to my house. But my initial experience was lack luster. Opted to try a bit of everything on the menu-- mistake. Buffalo wings-- seemed to have been sauced cold as they had a weird buffalo film on them and an abnormally thick crust on the skin. Very cold tacky and gritty consistency. Cesar salad-- this was by far the most lack luster part of the order. Overly dressed salad-- limp lettuce and the croutons had to have been sitting out for weeks at a time. As they were stale and had what could only be described as a pencil eraser-- both in consistency and flavor. We ordered a full pie-- the slices were ample in size but was quickly over shadowed by how greasy each slice was. In the pies defense it was a touch better the next day cold. But that was A+ effort on our part to not feel completely swindled from our dining experience the day prior. The first alarm bell should have been the warm cider house that was served to me. Overall very disappointing experience. And extremely hard to justify the assignation the of the Benjamin Franklin that took place. Perhaps ordering just a slice is the ticket here. But safe to say we won't be back. read more

My kids and I decided to come here for my birthday. Cashier (male white guy) was rude to everyone including co-workers. He was upset because other co-worker made a mistake and gave us wrong wing order and let us keep them on top of correct order. Jimi was very satisfied with his Grandma Pepperoni Pizza and Hot Wings. This place has all the pieces to be a great pizza slice spot. Food, atmosphere, TV on the wall, good music playing. It's just lacking one thing and that's where Jimi comes in. Jimi would like to offer his services as sports programming director for the big TV on the wall. When Jimi stopped in, he had to watch The Flinstones Movie on mute instead of any of the many sports currently airing at that time. There were at minimum several college basketball games that could have been put on at the time. Many places suffer from this problem. They have a muted TV playing a movie or sitcom or reality show with no captions. These are not shows you can watch that way. Any athletic competition on the other hand, you can definitely watch and enjoy with no volume or with music in the background. For all those businesses within shouting distance of this review, please consider hiring Jimi as your consultant to make sure the correct sporting event is being shown on your bar/restaurants TVs. Jimi is an expert at prioritizing the most important games and quickly shifting to the next significant game once one ends. Shifting gears, I'd like to now discuss the bathroom at Via Della. They have an awesome bathroom key, but Jimi was a little confused about the bathroom door lock. There wasn't an apparent locking system but maybe the door automatically locks when closed? Maybe Jimi just missed it? But shouldn't it be obvious? In summation, Jimi wants to reiterate that this place has really good pizza and wings. 5 stars read more

Absolutely love the pizza and wings from this place. It is a bit more on the expensive side if you want to buy a whole pie but I totally recommending it if you like their pizza. I'd recommend trying the spicy sausage pizza as it has a little kick and some sweetness to it as it has hot honey drizzle. The wings here are possibly some of my favorite wings too, they are served with a type of sauce that isn't extremely messy. Never really had a complaint with the service, it was always honest and fast. The ambiance on this slice shop is filled with community as they have photos and plenty of seats that can hold up to at least 4 or more people. The only complaint I can make is that the drinks are sold in their own bottles as they don't have anything refillable. Love a good slice & wings, and these did not disappoint! We got golden bbq for the wings, and they were pretty bangin. They were crispy, sauced well, and piping hot - just the way they should be (I was also pretty jazzed that we ended up with more flats than drumsticks). Whenever I try a new pizza place I always order too much on purpose because I just want to try everything, so we ended up with four slices: Spicy Sausage, Phoenix, Di Parma, and an Original. Spicy Sausage was probably my favorite. The Calabrian chilis and honey hot sauce drizzle were very well paired. The Di Parma was also really tasty, but I wish the prosciutto was added before it went in the over so it was crispy. Just my opinion here, but a balsamic glaze drizzled on the Di Parma would absolutely slap. Absolutely will return! Finally a decent place for New York style pizza! Even better, I can order by the slice! I tried both the pepperoni slices as well as the vodka sauce slices. Both were excellent. Everything was nearly perfect from the quality of the ingredients to the chew of the crust. I can't wait to return to try other varieties. Saw this little pizza shop on Instagram. Had to try it. Parking is not the best and no handicap parking. Just how downtown phx is. Cute shop. They 5 or 6 pizzas cooked and ypu pick out a slice or two they pop it in the oven and it's out asap. You can order a whole pie. They have 1 sandwich only and 1 salad. I believe they have wings. Drinks are canner soda amd bottled tea and that kind of stuff. I had a slice of white and delicious. A slice of pepperoni and it was great also. I'm a grand ave pizza fan, and they closed down. Via Della commented on their post "good luck brother" something like that, so I hope they're actually brothers or good friends. Because I am very sad grand ave pizza closed down. I finally went to via Della today and this place is just a good! Downfall- they don't have dill ranch... they need to buy the recipe off grand ave pizza so I can live my best life. I believe Dave portnoy would be impressed with this places pizza structure, it folds and stands up, the green slice I was holding for more than 30 seconds, bottom is crispy, dough is fully cooked, nothing weird, crust is delicious!!!!! Amazing pizza green slice is amazing 9.2, white slice is the best white slice I've ever had 9.5, cheese slice tastes exactly like grand ave pizza so I'm very happy. 9/10 for the cheese slice only because nothing can get a 10/10. White slice has a sweet base I think, I forgot the ingredients but they're so good, thank god for via Della! Downtown, around 8 parking spaces up front, inside is cute with brick and wood details.
