We got there just after the rush died down, chatted with the very pleasant owner throughout our visit, and thoroughly enjoyed every bite! The sauce is delicious, the mushrooms are fresh and not canned (so you get that deep earthy flavor), everything was fresh and flavorful, and we have a new favorite pizza place when we're in the area visiting family! We even expressed interest in their newest pizza that wasn't yet on the printed menu, and she made a mini one for us to try (spoiler alert: it was excellent!). 10/10 and we'll definitely be back! read more

Around a year ago we finally tried this hole-in-the-wall place I drive past daily on my way to/from work. Since then we have become regulars. Their pizza is great, the cheesy bread sticks awesome, and their pasta dinners an amazing deal! Anytime we don't know what to do for dinner we grab a pasta dinner that comes with a very large salad and garlic toast. More than enough for two to split! So it's been a few years since I've reviewed this restaurant. I still think it deserves 5 stars. The food is good, but the service is excellent. I absolutely adore the owners, who purchased this location several years back and have turned it into our favorite pizza place in Elkhart. If you want to be treated like you're family, order from here and get to know them. Julie makes her own sauce and you can taste the care and love that goes into it! If you like calzones, you're in for a treat when you order one here, just be sure to have a big appetite! We order the Chumley for our son's birthday parties and the kids all remember the "Godzilla sized pizza". It's so good we usually don't have any left over. Ordered the extra extra large pizza with everything on it for a large party. When unboxing for our guest noticed that it look like a cheese and pepperoni we were very disappointed for the $47.00 price tag, we served the pizza and finished our evening, tried to call and complain next two days but they were not open. When finally getting hold of them and I was told that really nothing could be done after disagreeing with the owner they offer a 20% discount.. on our next order .. very very disappointed as this was the first time using them, and was very embarrassed as even the guest commented .... we will not use them again. First things first. After I called and ordered I was told 40-45 minutes. Pizza wasn't done for an hour and a half. I thought they forgot. I live a mile away. I ordered extra sauce and half of the pizza had almost no sauce. It was just cheese on dough. The other half had what I'd expect to be normal. The people I ate with even asked if I ordered no sauce. The entire pizza tasted 'frozen'. I'm not sure how unless the cheese was frozen or something. Just odd that it didn't taste fresh but that would explain the little to no sauce since it would be tough to add when you have frozen components. Unless something drastic changes I won't go back. read more

I'd rather eat chain pizza than this. Cheap ingredients, bland sauce, and a weird rubbery cheese. It's intolerable reheated, which is weird for pizza. I haven't tried the rest of the menu, but I won't be back. Try the original Vesuvio on Bristol st. They are miles ahead of this place - at least better than the chains! read more
