Now. We love Volcanos. Been a customer for prob 30-35 years. Great food, great folks. Today I order spaghetti and 2 meatballs. That normally comes with bread. In my car, I notice there's no bread in the bag. The manager is walking out. I ask him about the missing bread. "Yeah it should have bread hang on, I'll go in and get it". Comes back out. They thought you just ordered 2 meatballs. Hence, no bread. Unbeknownst to me; there's also no spaghetti in the container. No big deal, just a miscommunication. They give me some spaghetti in another bag. get home. I still have NO FUCKING bread in this bag either. Now. That's on me. I guess. I should've have checked the 2nd bag. But c'mon guys. SUE IS RUDE!!!!! I have always loved Volcano. I grew up on it! However, tonight when we got home with our order it was wrong. When I called them it was ummm what did you get and what did you order. Mind you this was after they pulled out the order ticket. I asked them if they could remake the sandwiches that were wrong and deliver them but of course I was told no because it was too far for them to deliver to. I asked to speak to a manager and the young man on the phone said I am a manager so, I asked the question why do you keep putting me on hold to talk to someone else? anyway I had the unpleasant experience of speaking to Sue who has worked there for 34 years. After arguing with her She told me that I could come and take her job and she also started to blame me for the order being wrong. I don't understand how someone who has been in the industry for 34 years has made it this far acting so rude. Needless to say they will not get another cent of my hard earned money! We love Volcano pizza, spaghetti and meatballs and their sandwiches! We have any combination of these regularly. When family members come back home for a visit, they always request it for a meal! We order from all 3 locations, depending on where we are going to be eating. Volcano was the only Italian food that I had has a child, growing up. As a wife, it became a staple in our house. The best pizza in Elkhart (if you get it from the Easy Shopping Center location. I've never went to the Concord one, but do not go to the one on the Northside. Although the manager said every pizza has the same amount of everything every time and the recipes are always he same, our experience has been a negative one. This is the best pizza I've ever had. We lived in Elkhart about 14 years ago and I fell in love and have craved it for that long. We finally made it back and got to let my kids try the famous Volcano's pizza. It was just as we remembered, so so good!! Needless to say, the kids are fans now also! Delicious family owned pizza joint. The food and service is quick and quality . The pizzas are uniquely perfect. Cut into strips with really great tasting tomato sauce. The cheese is melted perfectly and lots of it. The pepperoni and mushrooms are so good here too on the pizza. Not to much sauce either which is a plus! The spaghetti and meatballs is worth it as well. Huge portions and the meatballs are about 2" in diameter, the meatballs taste soooo good, real quality meat. The sauce is similar to the pizza and taste great but with more spices in it like basil. The spaghetti itself taste great too! The Italian bread here is great for dipping and fresh tasting. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting great quality Italian tasting pizza and spaghetti and it's not a big chain pizza establishment so u can taste the fresh difference:) can't wait for the next time! Volcano takes me back to my earliest memories growing up in Elkhart. I can remember going here as a special treat as a very young child in the early 1970's. The GL Perry Variety store was in the same plaza at that time, as well as Wilt's grocery store and Drake's department store. There was also a bank just to the left of Volcano. Any other Elkhart natives remember those old stores? So, I'm probably emotionally biased on this, but despite that, Volcano is incredible pizza. I pray this place never goes out of business. The Easy Shopping Place area has certainly declined over the years, but Volcano seems to be the one constant in an ever-changing universe. read more

We ordered a pizza, salad & sandwich and were told it would be an hour. One hour and 30 minutes later I called and they said it was on the way. At 2 hours I called and spoke to the manager. He asked to get the address again. They had the phone number, if they had a problem with the address they should have called to verify. He said they would remake it and send it out. At this point it would have been well over 2 hours after being told one hour. I asked if he expected us to pay full price and he offered to refund the credit card. He said it would be another 30 minutes. Finally after nearly 3 hours the food arrived. The pizza clearly wasn't fresh, the sandwich was bordering on soggy and the salad didn't arrive but the dressing did. Absolutely wouldn't cross the street for this again. Literally the worst pizza I've ever eaten. Crust is flat (but not in a good thin pizza way), when handed over to us it had apparently been tipped to its side and the entirety of cheese/sauce/toppings slid to one side. We tried to order breadsticks and were told "we don't make breadsticks on the weekend" Uh, what? The fact that Elkhart voted this their best pizza is a sad commentary on Elkhart. Kid who took my order was beyond rude, he was talking to a girl while taking the order. He botched my order and told me the food would be delivered to the hotel in 45 minutes to an hour. At the 1 hour 30 mark I called to see where my food was. When I asked him he said he never took the order, I told him he charged my credit card at that point he just hung up.
