My wife and I stopped in for lunch and buy a few goodie's. A chicken salad sandwich and open face sloppy Joe for lunch and a tray of iced cinnamon rolls and a loaf of Dutch apple bread. Our sandwiches were average in both taste and size. Just over priced for what you get. We waited to get home to get into the iced cinnamon rolls and Dutch apple bread. We opened the cinnamon rolls first. They were soft but not much cinnamon swirled inside with a strong yeast flavor which neither of us liked much. Next we tried the Dutch Apple bread. Now that was extremely good. We will be back to try out their other goodies. read more

We gave this a try today and it was fantastic! The staff were very helpful and patient with us. I had a LOT of questions since we had never been there. I ordered a toasted meatloaf with cheese sandwich, potato salad, lemonade and a large slice of chocolate cream pie for $15! Everything was good and homemade -- even the bread! My daughter had a BLT sandwich, Mac& cheese, lemonade and a piece of Texas sheet cake for $15! She said it was the best BLT she's ever had. It really stinks to have to update a review and dock stars rather than adding them. We used to love this place, but in the past few years, things have gone downhill. The care is not there anymore. I've ordered wraps that come broken and impossible to eat without a fork....completely negating the point of getting a wrap, and today we order sandwiches without certain ingredients....both came with what we didn't want. I don't know how the communication is so difficult when we were the only ones there at the time. Another W from Baker's Nook! I have been to this restaurant about a half dozen times & always had excellent service. It is Amish owned, meaning that everything in their cafe/bakery is homemade. The bread, the soups, the sweets.. all of it. They offer a wide variety of snacks (we love the chex mix!) & handmade accessories for purchase as well. The interior itself is decorated with a homey, farm feel & everything is very clean. Our experience today was a first for carryout from here. My daughter ordered to-go this afternoon & it was perfect. I got the You Pick 2 combo, I chose a BLT (w/ extra bacon) & a cup of the Sodbuster soup. With your meal comes your choice of dessert, my daughter picked me out some kind of rich, gooey peanut butter bar. I mean it when I say that EVERYTHING is delicious! Bakers Nook catered our Thanksgiving dishes this year. It was absolutely delicious. Perfect in every way. The Turkey was THE best I've ever had. Very servicable breakfast. Great atmosphere, ladies working there were very nice and cheerful and the trainee did a great job. My eggs sausage and toast did the job, since we're doing a road trip I wished I could've eaten in as barely anyone was in the restaurant. Ever since we happened upon the Baker's Nook at a Chamber Business Expo, we have been in love. Their cupcakes, which you should order ahead if you want a variety or large quantity, are delicious and can be filled with fruit or cream or oreos. Their breakfast and lunch are basic, home cooked items, but great. No waitstaff, order at the counter from some of the most helpful and lovely people who quickly get orders ready to go. There is plenty of seating for breakfast or lunch. Now, I learn that they are doing Paczki for the locals that are Polish or simply love to partake on Paczki Day (AKA Shrove Tuesday).
