3 high school girl friends got together 48 years after graduation. Volcano Pizza had to to be on the lunch menu. A gorgeous 1/2 and 1/2 pie brings back great high school memories! I am never disappointed by anything that I have ordered over the last 50 years. Spaghetti and meatballs with extra sauce, pizza and ham and cheese sandwich with mushrooms are our go-to items!!! We grew up in Elkhart. My husband introduced me to Volcano's pizza while we were dating. Fast forward 41 years, we are now in Arizona but he dreams about Greg's Special every time we have pizza. So, last year I ordered two, uncooked Greg's Specials and had Volcano's freeze them for my husband's birthday. My husband's cousin then shipped them to us overnight with dry ice through FedEx. This place has been a family favorite for over 30 years. Family care in from out of town craving Volcano's. Currently not allowed to go into lobby and grab a salad and breadsticks. Had to stand on the sidewalk to call in my order and while they are looking at me through the window put me on hold. One of my favorite pizzas! From the crust to the cheese and everything in between quality ingredients are used. The reason I knocked off a star is we never know if we are going to get what we ordered, something close to what we ordered or possibly someone else's order. We've been here soooooo many times over the years. We lived in Colorado for almost 20 years and almost always made this one of our stops when we were in town. I loved the cheese! It was incredibly delicious. I do agree with the previous reviews though that I felt as if I was inconveniencing them for ordering pizza and picking it up. Easily my favorite pizza and sandwiches in the area. Thin crust, great sauce, a good amount of cheese. It is slightly greasy because of the amount of cheese but it's so delicious. The sandwiches are something I crave. The bread is made in house. There's nothing like a hot ham and cheese or a meatball and cheese. Great bread sticks too! This is an Elkhart, family owned classic. When you order by phone it does seem like they are short so subjectively that's something that they can improve. I haven't experienced the same treatment when I get my order. The pandemic has shown just how out of date their method is. Lack of online ordering makes it impossible to order as the phone is usually busy. Of course it doesn't help that they put everyone on hold. Unless you park in the front no one ever comes out no matter how much you try to get their attention. I'll be avoiding them like the plague until something changes as they desperately need to organize accordingly. read more

they did have stellar pizzas,after my last review,I thought I would give them another chance. I lost. the pizza was tasteless and when I picked up the toppings on the Volcano special,there was'nt any sign of sauce. This may be my favorite place to get pizza any where. Their pizza is Fantastic! In addition this is a great place to pick up lunch. I absolutely love their Stromboli and their meatball is good as well. For the price, you cannot find much better for lunch, but make sure you grab a couple extra napkins. read more

My husband and I finished half of the pizza - not feeling over stuffed or sluggish. Ordered a large pizza (9:15 pm), half pepperoni and half Greg's special with a meatball sub with extra meatball and extra cheese. I asked for delivery, but whoever takes the orders (some guy by the voice) just called (10:30 pm) and asked when I was coming to pick it up. I told him that I wanted delivery when I ordered it. He even told me that there would be an additional delivery charge when I ordered. The order finally arrived at 10:40 pm. Had to check to make sure the food wasn't cold (like they would care or even understand the difference between eating hot and cold pizza). Overall, the level of customer service at this place has been declining recently. I don't think my family or I will be ordering from here again. P.S. Just bit into the pizza - not even hot! The meatball sub congealed and wasn't even what I ordered (no extra meatball, no extra cheese). I called back around 10:45 pm and asked to speak to the manager. The guy who answered said he was the manager. This was the same guy who took the order and the same guy who called me asking when I was going to pick up my order. From the detached, uncaring tone I really didn't think he was the manager. Regardless, when he sighed and asked what he could do for us (like he was doing us a favor!), I told him that Volcano's has gotten its last $30 bucks from my family. EVERY time we order from here our pizza is wrong. How hard is it to add the toppings that are on the ticket? We get charged for them, so the least you could do is put them on our pizza, especially considering how much you charge for them! I can spend the same amount at Milano's and get a better quality pizza that is twice the size! We decided to try this place again after about a year of not ordering from them because of disappointing service and it seems they are pretty consistent with mistakes and crappy service. We would rather order from a big chain than ever spend our money or waste our time giving this place another shot. read more

Love their food don't care much for a certain employee at the Concord commons location. I went in a while back to pick my order up and asked to use the restroom, the manager told they didn't have a public restroom. As I'm waiting for my order a guy walks in and straight to the back into the bathroom. I ask if he works here and the kid working says "no it's our mangers boyfriend". I don't know her name but she has blonde hair and a nose ring. I think that she should of allowed me to use especially since her boyfriend got to. I over heard the kids talking about how she lets her boyfriend just hang out in the back where only employees are allowed. read more
