Fresh motzarella basil and tomatoes. I chose the Kalamata olive martini. It was very different but good. My friend had a basil lavender concoction which rated as expensive. The service was friendly but not intrusive. We sat on the sidewalk and it was fun being out and watching traffic and people. The only disappointment was the lack of gelato. The Asparagus Bruschetta at Pizzeria Venturi reminded me of picking asparagus with my great grandma and her cooking it for a meal. The vinaigrette on the arugula is light and crisp in flavor and the pancetta adds a layer of saltiness that finishes off the bite when combined on the house made toast with the housemade mozzarella. Memories came flooding back of my childhood and early adulthood with my grandma in her kitchen similar to the way Anton Ego's childhood plays for him while he eats the Ratatouille in the movie of the same name.
