Quite the "yummy" NYC pizza experience in the middle of Granger, Indiana. We called to order for pick -up and the pizza took about 30 mins or so to be ready for pick up. The pizza slices were HUGE in comparison to the pizza slices I'm used to. So I pretty much had 2 slices and was full. The crust itself was nice and thin as expected for the NYC style pizza they are known for. We ordered 2 pizzas. The first pizza was a sausage, onion, and pepper. The second pizza was the chicken, bacon, and ranch pizza. I did not have the chicken, bacon, and ranch pizza since I like the traditional pizzas better, but everyone else seemed to enjoy it much better than the classic sausage, onion, and pepper pizza. read more

The husband and mother-in-law split a Deluxe Pizza and Deluxe Calzone, and I got a pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom pizza (jalapeños on the side so no one who accidentally took a bite of mine would die). Great crust, which is the basis for any good pizza! The sauce is good, not too sweet, not soupy, didn't taste canned. The pizzas came out of the oven with the perfect golden color and that wonderful crispy sound when she ran the pizza cutter through it. From where we sat, we could see them behind the counter working with the dough in proofing tubs, kneading dough on the counter, and tossing the pizza dough, everything you see when Food Network visits an excellent little pizza joint. I had the pomegranate lemonade to drink, it was absolutely delicious and I wish I'd bought a gallon of it. Service was excellent, everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive. This was our first time trying Yummy Pizza. We were presently surprise how delicious the pizza was. We are traveling from AZ and I looked on Yelp for a New York Pizzeria. I found Yummy Pizza so we thought we would give it a try. The crust was certainly New York Style. I must commend the owner for an impressive and flavorful pizza. She was very cordial and sweet. We recently tried Yummy Pizza after driving by it for the past few years. I was AWESOME. Some of the best pizza in the area. The pizza is NY style with a semi thin crust, simple but excellent sauce and really good cheese. Their homemade breadsticks are great as well. They are about 12" long and come with either garlic butter or marinara sauce for dipping. The actual restaurant itself, isn't anything special. There are about 20 or so small tables and a few arcade games for kids. All in all I would highly recommend Yummy Pizza to friends! read more

This is a solid pizza place. I go through periods when I get pizza here every week or so, so I've tried it often. While it is NY style, it bears saying that (for better or worse), the pizza is not as greasy. They must use a lowfat mozzarella here, because there's no occasion to sop up fats from the top. I actually would prefer the greasier style, but this place is, all the same, a great addition to the area. Also, while I normally carry out, it's important to note that dining is great with kids and whoever else likes electronic skill and video games, a pool table, etc. This is a GREAT place to go where adults can sit around and chat and have worthy food while the kids can go off and have fun without getting out of sight. read more

Tried this place for the first time tonight. We ordered breadsticks and a pizza with bacon and meatballs. The breadsticks were long and thin and came with a side of garlic butter. Delicious! They were so hot and fresh out of the oven that we burned our fingers a bit on the first one. Although they may not look like exceptionally hearty breadsticks, I started to fill up after the first one. The pizza arrived shortly thereafter and was cooked to a medium degree of doneness - cheese was thoroughly melted without any crispy bits and the crust was golden brown. The sauce was neither too sweet nor too tomato-y, which is a plus for me. The crust wasn't quite New York thin, but it was a thinner crust. There were generous amounts of bacon and "meatballs" on the pizza. I say "meatballs" because they were more like little dabs of meat instead of small meatballs, but I believe that actual meatballs would've been a bit too much. They do not appear to offer alternatives to tomato sauces, which is the only reason I gave them a 4-star rating. I prefer a white or an oil-based sauce on thin crust pizzas. In fairness, I don't usually love tomato-based sauces and tend to avoid pizza altogether unless there is a non-tomato sauce option, but this one was good enough that I'd eat it again, tomato sauce and all! The service was attentive without being intrusive and the two staff members were friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for some thin-crust pizza! read more

First they tried my patiences but in the end it was worth it! To start with we got bacon dip for appetizer which was outstanding! For main entree I choice the steak sandwich which was fantastic - guys got the steak which was very good too! Recommend highly but be patient. read more

Pizza is AMAZING!!! 5 stars!!! The price on the other hand is a little bit high, 20 bucks for a 16 two topping new york style pizza is a couple bucks more than I think it should be. But the staff are extremely friendly and professional. They call you by name and refill your drinks promptly. Quiet atmosphere, nice and bright, very homey. Billiards is a big plus. So all in all I would say the TOTAL experience is worth 20 bucks, just not the pizza alone. read more

Stopped in while visiting from out of town and looking for some good local pizza. Was not disappointed. Great handmade New York style pizza. Friendly service. Great specials. We ate inside the restaurant and it was comfortable and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're looking for some thinner crust pizza with tasty sauce and just the right amount of cheese.
