I really missed Barnaby's after moving out of Chicago! Ambiance: This Barnaby's look the exact same as the ones in Chicago. It had the dark rustic wood interior, and beautiful heavy wooden booths and tables. I've never been to Germany, but it kind of reminds me of the traditional German bars I see in history books and online! Service: Like all Barnaby's, this place is counter order only. Once you place your order and the pizza is ready, they will bring it to your table. If you're customizing your pizza, expect about a 25-35 minute wait. Food: The tavern style pizza wasn't as good as I remembered...but it was still pretty delicious! I loved that we can customize and add our own toppings on the pizza. read more

Quaint restaurant that throws me way back to childhood years and similar places I enjoyed going to with family & friends while growing up -- a fantastic era. I ordered an " individual" sized pizza (more than enough for me to get three lunches out, so I'm taking a to-go box). Should have known something was off when the entire block smelled like a bread factory..... That crust was so yeasty and the bottom was covered in corn meal. Yuck. The pizza was mediocre. The sauce was not sweet enough to balance out the yeasty crust. Yuck again. The 8$ frozen mushroom appetizer was not impressive either. You must need to be a local to figure out the way this restaurant works. The pizza was tolerable and the wings were a joke but the salad was good! The order process was interesting- drinks from one counter, food from another. And pick up of food was from two different counters- pizza from one and, as far as i could tell, all other food at another counter......and that's only if you hear your number called from the scratchy, quiet speaker. Had a Grubhub order delivered. The salad had a lot of wilted greens. The ingredients that looked great were the egg, cucumbers, and grape tomato. I also appreciated that there was plenty of dressing included. I had ordered a chicken sandwich with a side salad but got a chicken salad instead. Been going here since I was a kid and through the years I've never been disappointed until now. The burger was good along with the fries and mozzarella sticks but the pizza was not good. The pizza was cut but not all the way through so we had to try to cut it ourselves with the knife and it was not doughy but it was tough in a chewy way. The toppings were melted and the cheese bubbly but the pizza was not cooked throughly and the pizza used to come with cornmeal all over the bottom that added to the crunch and flavor and it was non existent on the bottom. The sauce was also sweet leading me to think corners were cut and sugar added to make up for ingredients. I love this place with all my heart I really do but I can't recommend going here when the pizza was like this. Change happens nothing is consistent especially in this new post Covid world but the issues with the pizza come down to execution for the most part and cooking the pizza longer. We were also here early and there might have been 20 people in the whole place eating so it was not like they were rushing to get the pizzas out. I ordered two sausage and pepperoni pizza's with extra cheese and a chicken strip basket to be delivered. I also asked for Parmesan and ranch in the notes. The pizza has no extra cheese and I did not receive Parmesan or ranch and the pizza was so burnt the pepperonis were crispier than burnt bacon. The lack of quality they let go through their doors to their customers who pay their high prices is insane. Also every employee working there are all so friendly and will do anything to help out. The ambiance is just right! Parking outside we could smell the pizza baking inside and immediately felt the hunger pangs radiate thru my body. Quickly ordered and got our drinks. Pizza crust is a dry cracker with flour to dry it even more. Toppings are weak. Salads are iceberg lettuce in a bowl, toppings bar had almost nothing to add. Not sure how this place is in business. $25 for that pizza is robbery. Never again. read more

I don't know who is making the pizzas now, but something has definitely changed. My last two pizza orders were terrible. Crust was wet and soggy. Seemed under cooked and then there was a thick layer of cheese. Like...way too much cheese. About 2" layer. On my first order it seemed like the new method is putting all the toppings under the cheese which there was a whole stack of pepperoni. A disproportionate amount man. I don't who's cooking the pizzas now but definitely hurting the reputation. Jefferson location used to be a sure bet now it's very hit or miss. read more

We've been coming here for many many many years! I don't know why we came on s Friday night at 6 pm to I take partial blame for the bad experience!!!!! We usually don't have this problem but we don't go 6 on a Friday night. Parking lot was packed but there was a lot of open tables so that was good! I believe people parked and walked to the park across the street to an event going on. I ordered our 1 pizza 1 salad 1 order cheese bread. Pizza came up..... half hr later STILL no salad or bread... I go up and ask I got attitude from the worker... I stood there with 3 other angry people 2 were waiting on salads as well. 30 more minutes I finally got my salad. I paid for a large dinner salad and got a small side salad. Then she said 5 more min on the cheese bread! I ended up waiting over an hr for the salad and almost an hr and a half for the bread. Last night a group of us went to this location and it was SUPER busy and very loud. You order the pizza and you are given a number and they will call it out when it is ready. You get your sodas or adult beverages at the bar and it took over an hour for the pizza to be done. The toppings are great but the crust was very hard and so much so I just took the toppings off and ate that. The best location of the two in town. The pizza and sandwiches are all super good. If you have never been, ordering can get confusing. You wait in line and order now because of covid. They will call your number when it's ready. Sandwiches are usually out a lot quicker than pizza. The poppyseed dressing is good and you can get a side salad instead of fries. The pizza is unlike anything else in town. Only negative is they charge you for the box if you get it to go. Also more expensive than chains. Best day is Monday, $3 off a large pizza!
