Autumn salad & matcha latte
Lydia C.

I came here for a lunch meeting and I was quite happy with the size and amount of seating available. The layout creates almost two "rooms" with some seating near the cashiers, more in the back, and some space outdoors as well. It's café-style where you order at the registers up front, but food is brought to your table and you bus it yourself when you're done. I had the autumn salad, which was quite tasty. I prefer the sweet potatoes at other similar cafés (like Sweetgreen and Flour) more, but it wasn't bad. I would've loved a little more salad dressing, but overall was quite happy with it! On the other hand, the matcha latte was a little weak for my taste. Despite being a popular order, it didn't have much matcha flavor and felt a little watery, so I wouldn't get that again. The iced coffees did come in a cute branded can, which felt trendy.

Came for grab a Hong Kong milk tea to go for a quick caffeine pick-me-up. The milk tea was a bit weak and diluted for my taste but I appreciate that the amount of simple syrup can be adjusted to your liking. I ended up getting it half sweet which was perfect for my taste. The space is cute and service is really friendly. I can definitely see this being a nice spot to sit for a while and catch up with friends over coffee!

Avocado Toast, Matcha Latte

I LOVE this spot!! It's such a vibe, honestly and their menu is packed with unique and yummy offerings. Plus, they're usually pretty quick even when it's busy. I tried their Strawberry Matcha Cloud and it's amazing!! It reminds me a lot of Greystone's matcha with almond strawberry syrup. The sweet strawberry flavor melds so well with the high quality matcha taste still coming through. Definitely one of my favorite cafes in the city!

Such a cute coffee shop!! Every drink I tried was absolutely delicious and perfect. They have some beautiful unique options as well. Also tried some of the pastries and granola bites- yummy and fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

This is such a gem of a cafe!!! Wow!!! Definitely my new favorite in the Boston/Cambridge area. I got an iced latte with coco-ube syrup, it was some of the tastiest iced coffee I have ever had. Ube is such a unique flavor and it compliments coffee very well. I would describe it as sweet potatoey, vanilla-y, and earthy. My friend got an iced cookie butter matcha, and while the cookie butter wasn't super strong of a flavor, the matcha itself was very good. For food, we ordered their signature avocado toast and the buttermilk chicken avocado wrap with homemade chips. The avocado toast was the best avocado toast I have ever had - completely out of this world! The lemon juice and zest made such a difference, and the cilantro and black salt were a great addition. The wrap was pretty good as well, I expected the buttermilk chicken to be crispy, but it was grilled well and the homemade ranch was very tasty. The homemade chips were awesome too. I will definitely be back here, such a yummy cafe!!!

The seatings are spacious and comfortable, and that's the major reason that I go there. However, the drinks I had were disappointing - the matcha latte did not have a prominent matcha taste, and the lavender latte tasted like a pungent scented liquid soap The menu on the wall does not have prices. After I paid for the latte and saw the total price ($7), I asked the barista softly and respectfully "btw was there an extra charge for the oat milk" and she got really offended and impatient. I didn't mean to offend anyone and I just wanted to have clarification since the price was not marked. And to be respectful, I even asked after I paid. This place has best seating compared to other coffee shops in this region, but I didn't like the coffee and I had an awkward and somewhat incorrect experience

I found out about Vester from looking up places to do work and it really stood out to me! They not only have a great selection of drinks especially different types of matcha (the Ube and pistachio ones are so fun and flavorful), but also a wide range of food! I got their prosciutto mozzarella sandwich which was pretty good but the bread was a little dry. Not bad though! The interior is beautiful and I love that there's so many places to sit. Something to note, though, is that there's not a ton of outlets and you may have to move around a little but definitely doable!

Salted caramel latte GONE

Very very very good iced salted caramel latte but I would skip the avocado toast. Everything else food wise is delicious the avocado toast is just probably the worst I've ever had. BUT this place is amaze and yummy besides that!!

Camo Matcha
Nikki Y.

Camo matcha is super good!! I also got the strawberry cream cloud, but there wasn't much strawberry taste at all. Food and drinks can take a while to come out, so plan accordingly or order online! Lots of seatings available, but can fill up quickly during lunch hours (11-1).

Convenient cafe in Kendall square with rotating seasonal menus! They have great service and punch cards for regulars. All the drinks are solid, but my favorites are the black sesame latte and the camo latte which has espresso, matcha, and white chocolate ganache!! Plenty of seating inside too to do work or sit and eat food.

Avocado toast, breakfast burrito, yogurt parfait, pumpkin chai, cafe au lait, matcha latte

Vester is my favorite cafe in Cambridge, maybe my favorite cafe ever. Their matcha is better quality than any other coffee shop I've found. I love the coco ube matcha and the regular matcha latte as well. Their coffee drinks are great too, although they skew towards being very sweet, so if you're not a fan of that you might want to ask them for it less sweet! My favorite foods here are the avocado toast and the veggie breakfast burrito. I don't know how, but they manage to get perfectly ripe avocado 95% of the time, which in Massachusetts is a feat. The black salt and the fresh herbs/lemon zest really elevates this avocado toast above others. The veggie breakfast burrito comes in a soft flour tortilla, and the scrambled eggs are light and fluffy. I highly recommend grabbing some of the little hot sauce packets they have to put on the burrito! I've also catered from here for large work events, and they were timely and easy to communicate with. Vester is truly a Cambridge gem--not to mention, they caffeinate most of the Kendall Square area, and it's a great place to do some famous scientist-spotting.

Breakfast sandwich

What an interesting coffee shop tucked away next to Kendall Square. To start off, this place is huge. The rooms go on and on, and there are so many tables and seats for people to order food and coffee and then get some work done. The menu is pretty extensive and I opted for the breakfast sandwich on sourdough. The food was pretty average for a coffee shop. But again, the major selling point is the wonderful ambience and plentiful seat choices.

Woo K.

Cafe is cute. Store closed super early. Told us food wasn't available. Coffee only available. Flat white and a Madagascar latte. Both were ok. Flat white wasn't strong enough. Latte had a stronger milk flavor than anything. Espresso was a bit weak.

The American breakfast was also tasty, I was shocked by the size they gave so much food. The star of the meal was the French toast! I am not a huge French toast fan and often steer clear because most people can't get it right, but this was by far the best French toast I've ever had. Perfectly fried and full of flavor. If you are a fan of French toast you gotta try theirs you won't be disappointed.

It is very cramped and the tables are close together, but the rustic feeling makes it a great place to catch up with 1 or 2 friends. There's a wide variety of breakfast/brunch items, so there's something on the menu for everyone. The kitchen also is good about substitutions. Additionally, the portions are reasonable for the price, especially for the area. Most entrees come with a salad, which was a fun surprise. I got the Signature Scramble and liked the variety in the dish. The eggs did have caramelized onions, which I picked out, but there was a good amount of sauce and flavor on the plate. This place has been on my Boston brunch bucket list, so I'm glad that I've gone. I'd recommend this place to people who appreciate a good meal, but wouldn't take people who are impatient or claustrophobic.
