    People, relaxing before and after

This place has been a valuable part of my mental health therapy. It's more affordable than seeing a therapist. I can relax, energize, and focus, allowing all my negative energy to melt away in warm salt water and soothing music. What more could I ask for?

So happy I found this place! I went yesterday with two friends for the first time and wow, what an experience! The vibe as soon as you walk in is immensely relaxing. We were greeted immediately by a staff member and directed to some comfortable couches. There we were asked to pick out an adaptogenic tea and to set some intentions for our float. The staff member guided us through the process of what the float would be like, asked our preferences for in-float music, and shared with us what to expect both during and after our float was completed. She then walked us to the back, showed us what one of the rooms looked like and we were on our way! The room is spacious and the float tank itself is gorgeous! I found the entire thing very easy to navigate and they really had everything so nicely laid out. Ear plugs were available just in case and they even included a head rest if you preferred to use one. I felt very taken care of- which was helpful because I was anxious! Turns out I had nothing to be anxious about because my float experience was so relaxing. As you exit, you're instructed to shower with their suite of Le Labo products and then continue getting ready in their vanity area which had a Dyson dryer and a number of hair products, even ones for Black hair! As we came out we were greeted with another round of delicious drinks and told that we could debrief in the seating area for as long as we would like. A beautiful experience!!

    1 Hour Float - First-Time Guest (~$85)

What I got: 1 Hour Float - First-Time Guest (~$85) - with Euphoria & Matcha Rosa drink selections Aya's take: I decided to treat myself to a float session for my birthday and opted for the sensory deprivation option. Before that, I was greeted by Arturo who walked me through what I was going to experience in 3 stages. The first is the "Dose" where they give you an adaptogen-based tincture to open your mind and elevate the trip. I chose the Euphoria option as it stood out to me the most. The next is "Float" where you can choose sensory deprivation or immersion. I opted for deprivation which is how it is intended to be. I like how you can adjust the light to your preference which helped me adjust to the deprivation aspect. It took me a little to get used to but by the end of it, I was floating in the nothingness which was incredible. Finally, the "Reflect" is to reacquaint you back to reality. I chose the Matcha Rosa which was honestly one of the best matchas I've had and the genmaicha were these popcorn-like pieces which I loved. All in all, it was a divine experience to say the least and I would highly recommend trying this at least once.

Son was wonderful in guiding my journey with vessel floats. I came in a bit apprehensive as I didn't know how I'd feel, but the entire process was smooth, relaxing and left me feeling rejuvenated.

This is the best float place in NY! I had injured myself a bit while working out and I searched for float tanks to assist with my recovery. This place caught my eye with its vibrant design and minimalist decor. Upon doing some research, I discovered that an architecture firm designed this place! The vibe of every area is so perfect and chill. The lounge has these bright yellow chairs which greet you with positivity after you emerge from your blissful float session. Inside the float room itself, the black walls set a somber ambiance for solo relaxation and reflection. Prior to even getting into the float room, you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff at the front. If it's your first time, they will offer you lots of guidance to make sure that you are comfortable. You get to pick: a tincture to enhance your intention before your float, guided audio journeys (optional) during your float, and a soothing drink for after your float. Unfortunately they don't offer the pre-float tinctures due to the pandemic; I would've liked to try that out! The walk-in style float tanks here are 7.5' tall, so you can climb in easily and not feel claustrophobic (in case you have such anxieties). I've floated dozens times in the pod style tanks, and I can definitely say I prefer the walk-in style much more. The float experience helped me decompress and relax my mind and body. Coming out of the float, I showered again with their fancy Hinoki soaps, which hit you with a therapeutic forest scent. Every detail of this place was planned out meticulously, down to the soaps. I definitely found my favorite float place. All this being said, I highly highly recommend everyone to try floating at least once in their lives - especially at this place. The importance of having a comfortable environment and helpful guidance cannot be overstated for a life changing experience such as this. I will definitely be getting a membership here!

This totally ruined me. Vessel is above and beyond any other float I've experienced (in and out of nyc). A unique time and a must try. Super clean and the touches are spot on. Makes for a fun afternoon with friends. Will be back on the regular!

A phenomenal experience. From the moment you enter, it's all about the details; not one step of your visit is overlooked in thoughtfulness or design. Some of the magic is better left to experience than be described, I couldn't recommend Vessel Floats more highly. Aside from the challenges, I imagine, of opening this kind of business in the midst of a pandemic, it's worth mentioning that there is more than ample space for social distancing. Considering there can only be a few clients visiting at any given time, you aren't crossing paths or sharing close space with other visitors. VF's website details the actions they are taking to keep everyone safe. This offers peace of mind when it comes to the float tank, etc., making it obvious that this is a safer alternative to the typical spa experience. Reception is warm and concise in explaining the process, and as you're walked through the details, you feel taken care of, but not hovered over. Commencing with an elixir to help set your intention (one of the extras included in the float price), I tried "Euphoria," which was both amazing to look at and drink. After some time in the lounge, you're led to your suite, where the float is further explained. The low-lit rooms are spotless, beautifully appointed, and include a selection of La Labo products, as well as in-house tools to prepare for your time in the tank (please sell the charcoal scrub!). Having never floated, I wasn't sure what to expect. The tank is large and inviting, with high-ceilings and sensory options to accompany you through the experience. I chose the sound bath, which seemed to help rid any anxiety in getting used to being without external stimulation, something not easy to come by in NYC. I preferred the total darkness, but there is also a Kubrickian star ceiling option. After your float and a shower, you're received in the lounge for your post-float "reflect" drink, time to relax and adjust. Check out their perfectly curated library of vintage books on consciousness, if not to take the time to read, to admire the iconic covers and artwork. Christian and Vessel Floats have elevated the concept of floating and taken it to an entirely modern, wellness and self-care experience. I can not wait to return. This city wears on you, and a float is the perfect reset to shut it all off and self-repair.

Tax season has been brutal on me. I had a fantastic experience, and I don't regret trying it out. It helped me unwind and was just an overall incredible thing to experience at least once. What an out of body experience! This was honestly incredible. M-I-N-D B-L-O-W-N, i also love the yellow sectional !

do you suffer from rumination? do you feel like your mind never "settles down" no matter what substance you inflict on it, or how much you try to "just. friggin. focus."? vessel floats is a one-stop shop for DEEP (I mean DEEP) relaxation like you've haven't felt in years. I'm honestly 50/50 about leaving this review because I feel like in btw medication, therapy, and nature, I have finally found something that works for me (and I don't want Vessel to have a waitlist or up their prices). Apologies, yelpers, I won't even review my 10/10 experience. It's just that - if you know, you know. already booked my next session ;)

Not only did I want to do this to figuratively wash away 2023 and bring in 2024 in a more peaceful, calm setting - but I also happened to throw my back out 2 weeks earlier and was looking to stretch and soak the pain away. The experience was amazing from start to finish. Upon entry, we checked in at the front desk. We signed in, signed waivers and watched an introductory video explaining what we were to expect. We removed our shoes and socks and left them in cubbies up front. If you do not have flip flops, there are paper ones available for you to walk the premises in. This is where I tell you to bring your own flip flops if the idea of paper ones turns you off. From there, we were brought to our private rooms. Inside my room was the float pod, a sink, a shower and a spot to leave belongings. They provide disposable ear plugs, which you'll want to use as you'll float with your ears submerged underwater. Everything is explained again before you're left alone in the room. I disrobed and showered. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash, along with a washcloth and towel are provided. You're not to use conditioner prior to entering the pod. Once you're done, it's time to submerge yourself. There is a handle which you can pull the cover of the pod down easily. There is a button to control the lighting, along with a button to control the music. Additionally, there is a small spray bottle full of fresh water that you can use should you get the salt water in your eyes. Admittedly, I had to use it - twice. If you feel too enclosed, the choice is yours to float with the pod open. I went in with lights to familiarize myself with the pod. I listened to music on and off. The music is soothing spa like type tunes. The volume controls were perfect. I chose to do the majority of my float in the dark with moments of complete silence. It was peaceful. Calming. The water warm. The way it flowed over me, suspending me mid pod was so relaxing. I stretched to the left and right. Arms to my side. Above my head. Completely outstretched. Allowed my toes to guide me along the way throughout the pod. At one point, rested my arms, criss cross, under my head and fell asleep for maybe 5 minutes. I didn't want to sleep. I wanted to be in the moment so I made myself wake up lol. After the hour passes, a voice comes on indicating your float is now complete. You're to exit the pod at this time and shower again. While I was showering, the filtration system in the pod comes on filtering and cleaning the water you just exited from. Once dressed, there is a primping station down the hall. They have lotions, deodorant, individually wrapped combs, q-tips, a hair dryer. I brought my own personal effects but this is good to know in the event you'd like to travel light. Once ready, I relaxed in the common area. Made some tea and just took everything in. I felt a calming sensation. At ease. Super relaxed. I could've gone to sleep. We stuck around for maybe 15-20 minutes. Once we were ready to depart, we visited the front desk and paid for our time. $93 later, I really enjoyed myself. The front desk woman was super pleasant and explained everything perfectly. This may be something I choose to do at the end of every year to cleanse myself of what the year has done and to prepare myself for what's to come. It also may be something I choose to do again if my back gives out or I'm in any type of long term pain. Quite an experience, which I highly recommend.

For the most part, we have always enjoyed our experience - it never felt super crowded and the pools were always nice and relaxing to enjoy, as well as the steam room located in the center of the pools. It's a beautiful space. Massages continue to be mixed however --- my husband always wants a harder massage, while I ask for a lighter touch. He claims they never go as hard as he wants. My last massage there was fantastic. They renovated the space last year, and have run some promos recently and on our last visit it was noticeably more crowded, more than I had ever experienced before. I can only guess it is due to these two factors. We had an hour long massage, which I was extra happy about because I would've been frustrated being in those packed pools for the full 90 mins (massage was good, see above). The steam room was packed, some pools filled with large groups of people, etc. And it was tough finding space at the vanity to get ready afterward, which I'd also never experienced before. Add to this that they were fixing one of the new plunge pools while we were there, and during our massage they twice dropped tools resulting in very loud sounds which echoed into massage rooms which were located nearby. I don't think it was a wise choice to have that work done while guests were there, considering the setting of tranquility they are trying to create. Considering all the above, we have decided to take a break from AIRE, at least the TriBeca location. I brought these issues to the attention of management there and they have apologized with a discount.

This was a really nice experience. I especially loved the float, very different from any other spa…read moreexperience. The guy at the front desk was very welcoming, he greeted us as soon as we walked in. He told us it would just be a few minutes while he got the rooms ready for us. He was very thorough in explaining the process and offered us waters and showed us where we could get some should we need more during our time there. The place was also very clean. They provide robes, towels, slippers, pretty much everything you need. I did the two part experience, starting with the sauna and finishing with the float. I started with the sauna where which was 45 mins then moved to the float which was 1 hour. The only issue I had here was that the sauna room was too small. I was unable to fully lay/stretch out on the bench, which would've made for a much more relaxing experience. Instead, I had to sit the 45 mins with my knee bent and the bench was hard on my butt despite them having a towel down. The float was by far my favorite part of the experience. It's right across from the sauna room. The guy again comes to take you there and explain the process in detail. There's a shower for you to use before you get in the float and to get your body ready and acclimated to the temperature in the float. There's float has light and relaxing music, both of which you have control of if you want it or not. I turned the light off initially but it was way too dark for me lol I felt trapped so I opted for lights on. The process was so very relaxing that I even fell asleep for a while. I was woken up by the audio telling me the float has ended and thanks for floating. It also tells you that it will begin the cleansing process soon so you should exit the float. As I was showering and getting ready to leave, I saw it going through the cleansing process which was good to see. Definitely recommend this float if you are stressed or just need a mental break. It was good to just be in there with you and your thoughts to reflect and detach and then eventually, truly relax!

This was a nice experience. Hubby gifted me a visit to Reset Float for an hour in their sensory…read moredeprivation tank. He purchased the experience from Groupon. I was initially worried because of a past claustrophobia event during an MRI (I'm not usually claustrophobic but I freaked out during my scan and had to be calmed down). Hubby and I had time off together and decided to take the trip to LI for my session. He booked one for himself as well. When we arrived, Raymond checked us in. He explained what we should do in preparation for the session and provided us wutg wax ear plugs. Each room is single occupancy with its own shower (with soap and shampoo), towels, slippers, and bacitracin (if you have any scratches on your skin). It would be best to not book right after shaving or if you gave open wounds, because you'll be floating in a high concentration of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate), which could be irritating to cuts and abrasions. They provide the bacitracin for you to put onto any scrape you may have, which alleviates the sting. Once in the room, you disrobe and shower. You must be clean before entering the tank. The tank is like a clam shell, you climb in and use the "pillow" under your head to keep your head afloat. You're completely naked in the tank and you just float. Napping has exponential benefits while in the tank. Once you set your session, the tank does all the work. You can listen to music, adjust the sound, or just stay in the quiet room. I fell asleep a few times. Because of the high concentration of MgSO4, you're floating and have pretty decent buoyancy. I have locs, so I brought my own swim cap - I would suggest bringing one of you don't want the liquid saturating your hair. Raymond examined how to put on the cap, with the hair on the very top of your head, and the side of the cap covering your ears. I would say, however, not to cover your ears because it creates a spacc for the liquid to seep into and for that reason, I was a bit unhappy with what happened after my session. Once the float is done, the tank let's you know. You exit the tank, hop in the shower, and clean yourself. Once you leave the tank, it begins it's self-cleaning process. The water is swirling around and around and I'm guessing they use UV to help clean it. I did not realize that there was soooo much salt in the tank. I thought I did a good job cleaning myself off in the shower, but because the water got into my swim cap some, once it dried, everything that still had remnants of the water, dried white. Once we headed out, Raymond had water waiting for us. That was refreshing. You should not have a heavy meal or drink a lot of fluids ahead of your visit. I was wearing a black dress and the drips from my hair would dry on my dress and then turn white. You really have to rinse yiursf off very well. It would be best to schedule this kind of experience on a day when you have nothing else to do. I will say that for the actual experience, it was very relaxing and felt amazing but the aftercare was a lot, especially with the salt drying. I would do this again, but definitely will not be going anywhere else afterwards.
