Wow, I didn't expect such a rude walk in experience. I went in and although working on a clients hair she managed to talk to me as well. I asked her what her prices were for a haircut and balayage and when I showed her what I wanted, she immediately said no. So she suggested that I look on her Instagram page. I'm standing there next to Veronica as she continues to work on her clients hair with my boyfriend who also is scrolling on Instagram with me. She pauses and looks at my hair, grabs it (with coloring products in her hand), and says "oh wow, I didn't realize its that long". She then has the audacity to say "you don't need to show me exactly what you want, because if you keep scrolling down that far you're not going to find anymore balayage". I randomly stumbled upon Veronica's instagram page (stylistveronica) and noticed she was local. I looked her up on Yelp and I was instantly sold after seeing all of Veronica's work. I just knew I had to go to her for my trim/highlights. I haven't had a haircut in over 2 years mainly because I didn't know who to go to. Every time in the past when I ask for a trim, most of my hair gets cut off and thinned out. I wanted highlights and a trim, Veronica told me that it would take 4 hours because of the length of my hair. I like that she only books one client at a time, so that all of her attention is on the client's hair. The 4 hours went by really fast, she explained each step she was going to do and didn't rush one bit. I had asked Veronica to only trim off 2 inches off my hair and she did exactly that. She even curled my hair for me! Overall I'm extremely happy with the outcome and will definitely be back in the future without a doubt. Hands down, Veronica is one of the SWEETEST and most SKILLFUL hairdressers I've ever encountered! And trust me, I've seen a lot of hairstylists. I called to make an appointment a week in advance. Although she was unable to squeeze me in on the weekend, I opted for a weekday after work hours and she was super accommodating in fitting me in as soon as possible. Let me say, it is SO RARE that I am ever 100% happy with a haircut. Usually when getting a trim/cut, I leave the salon only to go back home and stare at the mirror and mess around my hair until I let it grow on me. But Veronica gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten and I am so happy with it! Basically, I told her I wanted a pretty haircut. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, I wanted low layers, wanted to keep it long, and trim 2.5 inches off. She cut my hair skillfully and efficiently. My haircut with hair wash took no longer than 1 hour. Overall, my haircut was $45. Typically, I usually do not feel justified in paying that much for a haircut, but I get it now as it was WELL WORTH IT. I've been use to paying for $20-25 haircuts from Asian salons, but really, those cuts are whatever. But being completely happy and satisfied with your haircut is worth every penny. It was such an enjoyable experience and such a pleasure to have my hair cut by Veronica. With full confidence, I can say I've finally found my perfect person to cut my hair! I'm a returning (and loyal) customer of Veronica. I can't recall how many times I've taken a trip to visit Veronica, but every time I get my hair done, Veronica does an amazing job. Veronica is there for her clients. She is very busy now that her workload is sky high, but she tries to fit everyone in. I have a very busy schedule and can only come on Fridays, or weekends, and Veronica always works with my schedule. She knows I'm a working student, so she tries her best. 2.) She listens to her clients. Veronica knows that her clients flock to her because of her skills, but she is able to enhance that by listening to her clients. She does only what her clients wants her to do. She listens to what they have to say, what they want, and gives her professional opinion on what works, and what might not. She'll suggest colors and styles for her clients, because she wants each and every one of her clients to look their best. Being able to listen, and following through with what the client wants is important. This was the reason why I left my previous hair stylist. 3.) Veronica is simply the best at what she does. Her expertise outshine every other hair stylist I've previously been to. She knows what she is doing, and does it well. 4.) Veronica is very understanding. She knows that I'm a working student and that I probably don't make much, and tries to give me discounts here and there. She is so nice! 5.) She gives free samples! She works with companies and tries to get samples for her clients. Every time I come in, Veronica always has free samples to give me to try. These samples range from shampoo to conditioner, to even hair oil! I've loved some of the samples so much that I had to get some for myself. LOVEEE IT. 6.) She's funny and charismatic! The first time I came here, I was pretty scared (well, not scared, maybe more nervous) seeing that this is a new environment with new faces. However, Veronica made me feel comfortable and talked to me throughout the whole process. She was singing to the songs played on the radio, and even though she got some of the words wrong, I forgive her cause she's so cute. I'm sure there's more as to why I love Veronica, but this is all I can think of right now. I'll be back to add onto this. And once again, I cannot stress how much I love my hair. She does such an amazing job. So, thank you Veronica! And please ladies, if you have an appointment with Veronica, do try to come on time. Veronica went out of her way to get me that appointment and called me multiple times (I was at work) when someone canceled to give me the appointment. I had gotten my hair done at Paul Mitchell the school in Pasadena and had gotten an ombre, but it had gone wrong. No transitions and the bleached part of my hair had turned completely orange. I AM IN LOVE!! I have had a fear of hairdressers since my sophomore year of high school when I had the WORST haircut of my life. Since then, i have only had my hair cut my hair twice and each time, I went into the salon with a very nervous stomach and a fast-beating heart. If there was silence, it was comfortable. The whole process took 5 hours exactly. However, Veronica promised me that it would be lighter and that I would love it. When she finished blow drying my hair, I was EXTREMELY pleased with the results. Don't let the pictures fool you! Veronica does a beautiful job on different ethnicities and short hair and medium hair lengths as well! I found Veronica on Yelp after giving up on my hair stylist. I am truly grateful to Veronica. I had a horrific experience with another salon in Arcadia a few months back. I've been dreading getting it done, since it got so incredibly damaged at the other salon, but my vanity got to me and I couldn't take the roots anymore. I made an appointment and went in for the first [but definitely not the last] time today. I asked for a darker brown with some blond highlights (which is what I typically ask for). Veronica was very upfront with what she felt comfortable doing (and not doing) with my hair. Since my hair was so damaged, she firmly let me know that she would not put highlights in. Now, some people might not feel the same way I do, but I was pleasantly surprised that she said "no". I would much rather have her tell me "No, that will only damage your hair more - it's not healthy enough for that", than have her go ahead and do what I asked for, and then have me be unhappy that my hair got even more damaged. Instead of me being upset that I didn't get something...something completely unrealistic for the current state of my hair...I listened to what she could/would do with my hair. And ohhhh, I'm so glad I listened. She made me feel like myself again...like a better, more beautiful self. We all want to feel beautiful, and Veronica made me feel beautiful again. I have always had a fear of dying and cutting my hair in hair salons with strangers whom I don't trust, I always go in with a nervous stomach and come out disappointed. Ever since six months ago, I have found Veronica on Yelp and decided to call her, I was pleased with how professional and understanding she was! Therefore, I came in for a consultation and immediately after she felt my hair, she asked for what I had in mind and we settled with a base color and low lights. Veronica has such a warm and bubbly personality, it made four hours pass by so fast. The whole process of dying, toning, trimming, washing, and styling was very enjoyable and she gave me her full attention. Until now, I've had my third appointment with her today, and just as expected, she gave me a head of beautiful low lights with a rich, chocolate brown base, and finished off with a luscious blow dry. Saw her work on Instagram at stylistveronica and found her work with long hair impressive. I'm so glad my 16 Yr old daughter has finally found a skilled stylist to work with her baby fine hair. Veronica always talks thru the cut and style prior to starting work which I like. She makes sure her client is happy and frankly that's key in providing consisently good customer service. She also works evenings which is another plus for me. Parking is readily available in the back on the shop. Just down the row from Matt Denny's restaurant. Average amount of seating in waiting area, which is small but comfortable. read more

I found Veronica off of Yelp and went with a terribly done ombré from a previous salon. They had unevenly bleached my hair and it turned brassy within a couple weeks and left my hair completely damaged. Veronica was a lifesaver for my hair and I am in love with it! She added highlights and lowlights to my hair, toned and trimmed it, on top of using a treatment. I left completely impressed and satisfied with both the service and result. She is also very thorough with what she will do to your hair and informative on what I need to do to treat and maintain my hair. She tells you before each step what is going to happen and ensures that the state of your hair is the best it can be. I would definitely recommend getting any color corrections done by Veronica and am sure you won't be disappointed when she's done with the session. Veronica is the layer whisperer! She is the absolute best, somehow making my hair fabulously young and vibrant. She is such a natural at what she does. I think she could cut and style hair with her eyes closed and taking a nap. If you love layers as much as I do, you MUST try Veronica. I found Veronica through yelp and I'm so glad that I did.She's a very nice lady aside from that she's very talented. I will post a picture so you can see yourself. I want to say that I had a great experience with Veronica and found her to be very thoughtful and experienced. I came in wanting some red in my hair and she was very attuned to the fact that I wanted it to be subtle but still noticeable. She was also able to work with my hair, which had been dyed very dark but with "virgin" roots, which was a huge plus. I found her to be very warm and sweet. She clearly has a lot going on but that's to be expected when she's a popular stylist in a suburban area. I was incredibly happy with the lowlights she gave me and she was also very charming while doing my hair! The price was a liiiittle expensive, but my philosophy is that for something like a hair color change, you want to ensure you're being treated by someone who knows what they're doing.
