Verner-Cadby is the only reason I'm staying with Ford. The service, body shop, and sales folks are wonderful, along with the rest of the office staff. I've been with V-C since 1984. They treat me like family! They are thorough with their service, very considerate with cost, and great people! V-C is family-owned, family run, and treats its customers like family. This is feedback for Ford Corp. Ford has made a mistake twice by discontinuing production of the Taurus, and their drop in sales is indicative of customer disappointment. The first time they stopped production of the Taurus, they replaced it with The Ford Five Hundred, which lasted only a few years, and they wisely brought back the Taurus. Now Ford went all in on EVs and no longer has a standard sedan. I will need to replace my current Taurus, which has 100,000 miles, and I am struggling with how to replace it with a new non-EV Ford sedan. I may have to settle for a hybrid SUV, which does not make me happy. I've been advised by friends to get a different brand of car, but I will not go to another dealer. I've explained why I will not do that, but at this point, it's a choice of which car is the least objectionable for me. Ford needs to listen to its customers. read more

Always helpful, always listens, guides us through the test drive, purchase, and teaching the systems on the car. Carl, the sales manager, is alway out front and accessible, not like other dealerships where you never see the mysterious "sales manager" the salesperson always has to clear things with. If the dealership wasn't great I would not have purchased five cars there. The entire process is low key and low pressure. Service manager and tech (Larry) were great in helping to diagnose a headlight issue on my 2023 ford explorer today. Unfortunately, it is a design flaw (reduced light is being projected). Solution was to lower the high beam level and to use both low and high beams all the time....especially on very dark highways. Hopefully, the adjustment will not bother oncoming traffic and cars directly in front. Buying new, after market bulbs/lights, is not a solution, as the units are sealed (good for the life of the car). Ford-corporate should investigate this issue as it has led to several issues on unlit highways with just 3400 miles on my new explorer. My 2024 Edge has no headlight issues. Really great, straightforward and no BS car dealer. If you live in the greater NYC area, these guys will probably wind up being one of the most pleasant Ford dealers you'll contact. I was in the market for a Mustang Mach-E so I called/emailed upwards of 40 dealers in NJ and NY, and these guys were in the top 3 in terms of communication and ease to work with. Plus they were honest - many other dealers were trying to charge above MSRP (a practice that Ford Corporate is starting to crack down on). In contrast, this dealership was accepting Ford X Plan (a competitive, pre-negotiated sales price that I was able to obtain through my employer). Although I didn't wind up purchasing at this dealership (they didn't have the trim/color I wanted in stock), if I had to purchase another Ford in the future I would definitely stop here first. And if I lived closer I would definitely take my vehicle there for servicing (such was my positive experience with their sales team). Where to begin... I have been going to Verner Cadby Ford for my automotive needs for over 27 years. I have recently overlooked & gave the benefit of the doubt on more than one occasion & I realize no one is perfect however, I need to express my frustration & disappointment. I recently brought my 2015 F150 Platinum truck to be completely serviced & overhauled since it has 122K miles on it. I gave them a list of 27 items I wanted checked and/or changed including my breaks & tires. In addition, I also told them the rear breaks squeaked. After spending over $2600.00 on need repairs I was told my rear breaks were fine & just needed to be cleaned. After leaving, the squeaking began once again after 20 minutes of driving. Long story short, they were kind enough to take the truck back free of charge to remedy the issue. I was told they sanded and replaced one part and there were no more issues. I took my truck home & it sat for three days. When I began driving it again, the squeaking returned slowly to a constant squeak. From 40 - 0 mph all I hear is a constant squeak. In addition, that morning, a coworker was following me and told me it looked like I had an inner sidewall bubble on my rear tire. When I looked, there were two large sidewall bubbles the size of my fist at 12 & 6 on a clock. I went to a tire store & had it immediately replaced the same day. When they took the tire off I noticed what appeared to be gouges & grinder marks from a hand grinder all over the face of the rotor. From my limited knowledge of automotive mechanics, this is unacceptable. Usually, the rotors go on a lath to be cleaned or reconditioned. My question to them is this - how can a person that handled my rear tires not only once but twice, not notice the two sidewall bubbles on my tire. Especially, when they were supposed to inspect them. I could of had a blow out at anytime! Also, how can they leave my rotor in that condition - please see the two enclosed pictures. I can understand maybe from the time I got back the truck I could have gone over a pothole which caused 1 bubble but Not 2 on opposite sides of the tire! An actual fact - there are no potholes, they are all filled in & I Did Not run over any within this time frame! This makes me worried what else was missed or overlooked during the $2,600 worth of work that I can't see?? When I called, the new service manager just listened and denied they missed the bubbles on the tire & did not give any explanation for the breaks. Please note - I am willing to spend the money to make sure my truck is running 100% - just tell me I need breaks or a new rotor!! Similar frustration with my daughter's car - Without all the details, after a service earlier in the year, it had to go back twice for what they missed... then it still wasn't correct! Unrelated, I ended up selling the car but before it sold, another mechanic from a private garage (& personal friend) looked at the car and physically showed me $1,800. worth of need repairs from breaks, leaking engine hoses, a worn belt and exhaust issues. And just 3 weeks before Verner Cadby service dept told me everything was good with the car. Each time I went in with my daughter's car I specifically asked them to go over everything so my daughter can be safe in her car during her travels. When I saw these repairs were ignored, I was sadly disappointed with most of my trust gone. Now, with my truck, I will not go back to Verner Cadby Ford ever again. Best wishes & good luck. read more

He spent time with me after my car was totaled and i was waiting for my insurance to give me their findings. He answered all my questions, never knowing if i would be back. Well I did Come back. At 7:50pm he started the paperwork (They close at 8pm) and my truck would be ready for pick up at 530 the next day. The next day I met with Paul, Another awesome guy. I recently bought a Certified Pre owned Ford Escape. Overall I got a nice car but when I picked it up I noticed I got a half tank of gas while ford dictates a full take on a CPO vehicle, I also have a chip on the windshield. When i picked up the car it was raining so hard to tell. There are also scratches that were supposed to be taken care of. I complained on the survey from Ford and then a month later get a call from Carl the sales manager saying that the owner doesn't give a full tank of gas because its too expensive!! Are you kidding me!!! I know for a fact its built into the price and its one of the things Ford corporate says you receive. I purchased my 2016 Fusion Titanium from another dealership several months ago. Ten (10) days ago, I had to arrange for a Service "check engine" problem. My Dealer Service Department gave me misinformation that day, & I had to call the Service manager. (But before I did that, I called Verner Cadby, spoke with Brian, who clearly explained that he couldn't perform this service, but if I had difficulty, then call him back, and he'd find a way to assist me) Returned a 2nd day,to my original dealer, they fixed the problem, then wanted to schedule my Free 1st oil change, but charge me $54.00 for a "required" additive with it. I contacted Verner Cadby Service, spoke with Richard, he assured me there was no "required" additive, and I scheduled an appointment with him. Even though I had to pay for my 1st Service, it was so comforting to know that Richard, and Brian, took such a personal,caring, interest in providing EXCELLENT, and sincere Customer Service. In addition, I contacted Ford Motor Co. Customer Care center, and after explaining my distress, and if they could switch my Warranty Coverage & Service to Verner Cadby, Ford Customer Care did so without hesitation. So, I will not only happily & trusting to continue with Rich & Brian at Verner Cadby Service, I am HIGHLY recommending Verner Cadby Service Department to everyone. I was in the market for a new vehicle. After much research I settled on a Fusion and was interested specifically in the hybrid or energi model. I began my search on the internet. I visited Ford.com and TriStateFordDealers.com to ascertain 2014 and 2015 models that were in stock. Incentives on the 2014's ultimately guided my purchase decision. I was in communication with several dealers. It proved difficult to compare pricing and options (apples to apples). Some offered special internet pricing and others did not. I was just looking for a dealer that would lay out the costs in a fair and understandable manner in the realm of a car that I was interested in. The sales person that I spoke with was clear and concise on all costs and how they would all work together. The whole experience was so honest and clear that we had an agreement on the phone the next day. We exchanged paperwork via email and I headed to the dealer that weekend. The meeting was cheerful and relaxed as I filled out all the required paperwork. There were no surprises. This whole experience made car buying a pleasure. I am not sure I have ever said that before. Once the paperwork was complete I accompanied the sales person to my new Fusion Energi Titanium where all the features of the car were patiently explained. I had the radiator replaced in my F350 at the Ford dealer in my area in Connecticut. While on my way to Pennsylvania on I 287 I started to loose coolant quite rapidly. I was also towing a trailer at the time so I had the truck and trailer towed to Verner Cadby. The service manager greeted me as the tow truck pulled into the yard. He asked what the problem was and I explained that the radiator had been replaced at a dealer in CT and it appeared that the lower hose was no longer firmly attached to the radiator allowing for a very major coolant leak. Without spending one second to look at it or ask one of the mechanics to look at it he said that they would not be able to look at it for at least two weeks. I ended up having it towed to a local body shop and towing company who determined that in fact the lower hose had come off of the radiator. He was able to snap it back in place and I was on my way thanks to someone who was willing to help out a guy who was 150 miles from home and had a major problem. If I had not come in with a Ford, which is what they sell there, and had not had it recently serviced by another Ford dealer I might have been able to understand their reaction. I had a vacuum pump on another truck that I had fail while I was on a trip in Pennsylvania and I pulled into a Ford dealer and they were most helpful and I was back on the road in two hours with nothing but good things to say about my experience there, unlike my experience at Verner Cadby. read more
