Found this place on yep with good reviews and decided to give it a try. Jim was professional, courteous, patient and above all honest. I was expecting to have to replace the wheel bearing and at least some part of the AC unit. But he was able to properly diagnosed the problem and only charged me 1/2 hour of labor. read more

does what ever is needed, no more. fair prices and great service. reliable out of the way a bit but worth it. read more

Quick and efficient, Jim had my car in the morning and then tires on by noon. $20/tire + $2+ for new plugs, and a small rebalancing fee. A waiting room (w/A/C) and a long counter with die-cast model cars. Tried to sell me an alignment, which I declined, but they still made sure the car was okay. read more

Jim and his team are the best! They are knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. I brought my car in for a last-minute inspection today and it was such a great experience. Although the shop was busy, Jim was very accommodating and able to fit me in anyway. There was a clean, spacious waiting room and the whole thing was a quick and easy process. Super impressive and highly recommended! read more

Outstanding! Quick diagnosis, excellent workmanship, and a chill, no BS attitude. James is a great mechanic and very straight-forward with his customers. I knew that our 2003 Ford Explorer was getting old, and something felt and sounded wrong in the front end. But, because it's a fairly low mileage car, we just kept driving it and hoping for the best. Then the 'check engine' light illuminated. I figured, all right, it's time to find a good mechanic... Yelp pointed us to Expert Automotive and we could not be happier with the outcome! James diagnosed and replaced our ball joints, hub bearings, and thermostat, all within one day. We dropped off the car the night before, and it was ready for us by 5pm the next day! It now drives like a new car and I'm betting we get several more years out of the vehicle now!! We have found our new mechanic! read more

My husband and I have used Expert Automotive for several years and have always been pleased with the service, professionalism and pricing for the work done. Jim is friendly and honest....we have since moved to Arizona and wish we could have transported him with us to have him address any issues we may have with our cars....call him to work on your vehicle, you will not be disappointed! read more

Expert Automotive is the best! And the only place I would ever trust with my Jeep for anything from oil changes to major repairs. When other places have messed up my car, Jim fixed it for me and ensured that the job was done right. It's not always easy to find a mechanic who is consistently honest, always accommodating, and very reasonable. My whole family uses Expert for all of their automotive needs too. Highly recommend! read more

My husband discovered this auto shop when I needed to change the tires on my car. We ordered the tires online and they got delivered to the shop. The price was very reasonable and the work was done quickly and professionally. It would be hard to find this place just driving by - it's located in a very residential area. But it's a real gem! I'm going to them now for all my auto needs and I don't feel like they try to sell me what I don't need. Very honest. The shop itself is very simple, but clean. There is a waiting room with free wifi and tv. I usually call in advance and make an appointment. They are always on time and the service is quick! I'm planning on continuing to use this auto shop! read more

My car is 15 years old and has 247k miles, and it is still on the road and getting me where I need to go thanks to Jim and his team at Expert Automotive. I've been a customer of theirs for a number of years now, and I've always been satisfied with the service. They consistently exceed expectations! My car has been there for routine care (ie. oil changes and tire rotations), but we've also limped into the lot for those random incidents you can't predict. For example, a couple months ago, I ran over a giant piece of someone's car in the dark on Route 80, gutting most of my exhaust system. Jim did the repairs for a reasonable price and in a timely fashion. He takes the time to explain what he's seeing and what would be the best approach, given the existing variables (age of the car, cost factor, etc.). I appreciate someone who takes the extra time to help his clients better understand their vehicles--and always does so with a smile and a positive attitude. Thanks for all of the help! read more

I've brought my car in for oil changes and also whenever my check engine light comes on or I hear something out of the ordinary happening with my car. They've always been very straightforward and honest with what work needs to be done right away and what can wait a little while, without ever putting on any undue pressure to make repairs that aren't needed. Highly recommend for anyone in the area who wants an efficient and honest experience with their repairs! read more

My mechanic finally retired and good ones are hard to find. It is so easy for a mechanic to inflate the work and the bill and or perform poor work. I had taken my car to the dealer about a month ago. One of the services they performed was a tire rotation. Anyway, I was driving along the highway and there was an awful grinding noise coming from my left front wheel. I was convinced that either the ball bearings gave out or the break pad pin fell off. It was too far to drive to the dealer. I took the car to Jim and his crew quickly pointed out that the nuts on the wheel were not fastened. This was the remnants on the dealers work. I'm glad the wheel did not fall off and hit someone while I was driving. They are typically very damaging and sometimes fatal. Jim's crew addressed, no damage was caused and I'm now driving around happily. My other car needed service as well so Jim worked on that. He is fair, honest and reasonable. read more

My first experience with Expert Automotive and I could not be more pleased! I drive a 2003 with almost 200k miles and I may or may not have gotten a little misty eyed driving home after I picked up my car because it felt better than it has in YEARS! I needed work on my exhaust system, the wheel bearing and axle boot - I was blown away by the absolutely reasonable cost of repairs (and speed! all these repairs in a day!) and the car feels like it was dipped in the fountain of youth. They were friendly and professional - they explained everything completely, sent me a report on everything they found while inspecting the car, and before pickup, texted me a link to make payment so I could pick up after hours - it was such a smooth and fast transaction. Having experienced this level of service, I can't imagine bringing my car anywhere else for service - see you for my next oil change and to have my front brakes serviced soon! read more

I'd like to say that this business is all professional but that simply isn't the case. They treat you like you are a member of their family, not just a customer. Since I started going to them I don't even know how many years ago, you always feel like you are getting the best service and car care that is available. Always respectful and courteous, I am always 110% happy with the service I receive when I leave. I moved out of state two years ago and still come back to them for everything, down to an oil change. Best automotive repair facility by far, I'm an Expert Automotive customer for life. read more

I needed to get my car inspected quickly and Jim was great. He was so helpful; I could not be happier! I definitely plan on using Expert Automotive in the future, when need be. read more

I read the reviews and thought "too good to be true", but I was mistaken; this place is the real deal. Very nice and clean establishment. Jim is extremely honest, he charged me 1/3 of what my local guy charged for an oil change. He was very direct on what needed immediate attention and potential fixes which could wait. Just a very honest mechanic; will be my go to guy. read more

Everybody there was friendly. They got me in and out much faster than I had anticipated and the price was great. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

It's tough to find a mechanic that you can trust. I've been bringing my cars here for a few years now. Great work. Great prices. Very trustworthy. I highly recommend read more

I have been using expert automotive for years! They have always been honest with every repair and well priced! They never fail to get the job done for my personal vehicle and they also service all of our work vans! read more

Started going to Expert Automotive in September 2015, and won't go anywhere else. Jim and his crew are super friendly and helpful. I have had a few different jobs done including brake replacement, tires, oil changes -- all top notch and reasonably priced. Jim is extremely honest when it comes to telling you what's going on with your car. I am not the greatest when it comes to handling car stuff and I tend to do online research whenever something goes awry. What I like about this place is I can have a discussion with him about my research and he takes everything into consideration in addition to offering his expert opinion. Service turnaround is incredible and the waiting room is super comfortable and inviting -- feels like you're relaxing at home. Go with Jim and you won't be just a customer for life, you'll also make an honest friend. read more

Best mechanic in the area. Have been a customer for 20 years. Does great work for reasonable prices. Honest.

Great honest service. Reasonable prices for quality work. I come here for all of my car needs and wouldn't think about changing spots! There's a little sitting area inside the shop with a nicely sized television, a massage chair and reclining sofas. Grab some free candy from the front desk on your way out! read more

Great experience with Expert Automotive! I popped in after noticing a rattling/knocking sound in my front end and Jimmy and co. were able to take my car that afternoon. I received a timely phone call the next afternoon as promised, complete with an assessment and quote for the work. James even priced out an after-market part for the repair to give me more options. My car was fixed within 24 hours at about 1/2 of what the dealer had quoted me. I'll definitely be going back if any more issues arise. read more

Just moving to the area this year, I was weary about finding a new mechanic but I really lucked out finding this place. Reasonable pricing and always super quick turnaround, I'm so happy to have found myself someone reliable so close to my new home. read more

This is an honest shop, he didn't try to upsell any bs (wipers, engine flush, etc.). As a former auto damage adjuster, I approve, and I'll be back. read more

I had conflicting reports on whether the wheel bearings on my car had gone bad. Took it here and within an hour they were able to inspect them and confirm that they were fine. Would definately recommend them. read more

These people know how to work with cars and customers. The waiting area is setup like a living room with complete comfort in mind and the owner even offered me fresh coffee while I wait. Each phone call that came into the shop was handled by the owner himself in the most polite and attentive manner I've ever heard at a shop before. The prices are very reasonable for such great quality work. My car needed a fair amount of work, parts came in promptly and my car was ready to drive home in one day, no issues, no delays, and Jim even educated me on the regular maintenance to preserve my chariot. More than pleased and I'm taking all my future business here! :) read more

Flat out honest and dependable guys to work with. I've brought a few of my cars in over the last two years for maintenance, and some bigger repair jobs and they have always fixed it right the first time. Jim takes his time to explain what is needed and what not to waste money on. Also, the shop is the cleanest I have seen. I will continue to do business with these guys! read more

Great service by trustworthy mechanics! They really care about the customer and take the time to explain what's going on with your vehicle so that you know exactly what's being done to your car and why. It's by far the cleanest shop I've even been in with a pleasant atmosphere and cable TV which is a huge plus for waiters. They aren't just your mechanics they are your friends. They make getting your car repaired as pleasant an experience as possible. I highly recommend them for all your car needs. It's nice to finally have a mechanic you can trust who cares about you and your safety. Two big thumbs up!!!! read more

I had some major car problems that consisted of brake and engine work. Jim is a great guy, he will answer every question you have and explain all of the work to you. While diagnosing my car, he performed many tests and drove it to make sure he made the right diagnosis. After the repairs, he drove it over 40 miles to make sure that the problems I was having were completely fixed. I'm not from the area, and Jim made having car problems so much more bearable by walking me through everything and doing expert work on my car. Would recommend!! read more

Jim and everyone else at Expert Automotive is absolutely great at what they do. Everything is quick, well priced, and the service is great. When my wife had a flat and I was out of town, they did everything to get her to the shop and make sure she was fully taken care of. Appointments are always good since they are fairly busy, but they do take care of emergencies better than any other mechanic I have dealt with. Since it is located in a neighborhood, when I drive by at night and on the weekends, I will still see the owner there playing with his own cars. You can tell they love what they do and are very good at it. This is one of the few places where I can say there was nothing to complain about and only good experiences after going to him for several years. read more

I've been bringing my cars (Hondas) to this place for years. The people are GREAT! Jimmy goes above and beyond to make sure things are done right. I took my car in for an oil change and he cleaned the bottom of the chassis where there was old oil dripping. He made sure it was free of leaks, wouldn't drip oil in my driveway and fixed the hood release that I snapped while opening a year earlier. Everything was perfect, it's hard to find a mechanic that fixes the little details to ensure a perfect fix. Highly recommended. read more
