After spending time looking for a used car at different dealerships, my wife found Colonial Motors. We're very glad she did! While the choices were slim elsewhere, Colonial had multiple cars to choose from. The manager, Jack, was a pleasure to work with. When we did select a car, he was very accommodating letting us take it locally to have it checked out, even offering to have someone take it there. After passing the inspection, the purchase process was very easy. Jack told us that if there were issues afterward, he'd take care of them. True to his word, when we did have a few minor problems, he took care of them at no cost to us. Buying a used car is always such a tedious process. Should be re-named clunker depot. Jacks nice enough but ultimately hes willing to take advantage of the under privileged. Unfortunately we still don't live in a world where genuine people own used car lots. Most positive reviews seem to be from the unsuspecting elder or the naive consumer. Have the car checked before purchasing and dont trust the carfax documents that reflect limited info. If your signing an "As Is" waiver you have already made a bad investment. My oldest son Ryan purchased a vehicle here approximately three weeks ago. The owners and operators were both honest, reasonable and professional! We pointed out a variety of possible problems with the pick up truck he purchased and they were more than willing to repair a few minor suspension problems at no cost to us. The price for the vehicle was on point, and exactly is marketed for its value. Every aspect of this companies professional attitude shows that not all used car dealers are shady or crooked! Every individual we've dealt with from the sales manager, owner and even the mechanic went out of their way to make The transition into his new purchase comfortable and flawless. These professionals even let us check under the vehicle while it was on their lift for any possible problems. Noting some suspension flaws the manager directly made note of the problems and had them repaired. I would highly recommend this facility for any used car purchases in the future. Do NOT go here. Save yourself from a junker. I needed a reliable vehicle for my family. I asked about a truck on their lot and they said they had it. I went in that day to find out it had sold a week before. I looked for another option and found a Mercury Mountaineer on their lot with decent miles. It drove well when I tested it and they said it was a great truck. I bought it and within a month it was having major issues. My mechanic told me it would need a whole new engine to fix. Another mechanic in Kenvile told me to never go back to them again because they're not a good dealer and to get a refund for the truck. I took it back to them and the owner and manager refused to give me my money back saying it wasn't their fault leaving my family and I without a car and down thiusands of dollars... Put simply, these guys are rip offs and I'm not the only one to recognize that. Buyer beware! read more

I hate writing a bad review I wasn't going too .. I feel though people should be careful of this small business bought two cars here at different times first car was really bad had a lot of issues in a very short amount of time.. a few years later we go back recently this is we spend a good amount of money on a bigger car I would think they would check the car out before it leaves the lot it had so many issues .. it looked beautiful on the outside they offered to fix partial I guess his warranty doesn't cover much at all .. we took it to our mechanic that we trust turns out there's a few things wrong it will cost us around four thousand dollars I feel awful the one man tried to say maybe we did something in the time we had the car 3 weeks? Four thousand dollars worth of damage? Scam I will never go here again or refer anyone again I wish I could give zero stars very upset read more

Between a 2 and 3. I got a response super quickly after I was interested in a car which was great! I spoke with Jack. He was very knowledgeable but didn't even work with our budget or try to help us find something in our budget. Felt as if he was trying to get every cent out of us even though he knew we were not looking to spend that much. After looking at other dealers in the area, they are definitely overpriced but I know people who have had a great experience here. read more

I bought a car here almost 5 years ago and it is running great and I have had no issues. They tried to convince me to get the 3/4 month warranty but I wouldn't buy the car if I felt I was going to have issues in a short amount of time. In a few months I did realize (I should have in the beginning) that a few bolts were missing from the tires. I did take it back and even though I didn't have a warranty, they took care of them for me. Since really the tires should have had all the bolts. The reason why I'm not giving this a 5 star is cause even though my car is probably the most reliable used car I have ever had, I paid way over market value. The car was 10 years old and had over 100k. I overpaid a lot for it on top of trading my car. I was in need of a car and did not have much time to shop around so I really only blame myself. The dealer had also told me they get their cars from other dealers and not auctions. Basically this car was marked up twice. There are many car dealerships in this area, many of which go to auctions and I know its cheaper to go through there then to go to other dealers who are already marking up the car to sell. I don't regret this purchase as lucky as I was to still not have any issues with this car 5 years later but that's the luck of the draw not really anything they did in particular. read more

DO NOT BUY CARS THERE !!! I recently bought a car it lasted me 3 months !! At first it didn't pass inspection for like a month and half because they weren't cooperating to fix it knowing that by law a dealer can't sell you a car that won't pass inspection. Number two the head gasket went bad and they didn't want to fix it either knowing that I had payed for warranty . The owner himself decided to just put a liquid which it made the car not over heat but my engine died !!!! Thanks to the fact that he didn't fix my car the way he was suppous too . I wasted $3,400 cash for a garbage car !! NEVER AGAIN I REALLY DONT RECCOMEND NO ONE THIS EXPIRIENCE !! All their cars have high mileage they promise you that if you pay for warranty they will take care of everything but in reality they screw your over ! Let's not talk about how they wrote 200.00 miles less on my warranty so when something happen I'll be screwed. read more
