OMG! I had the worst experience of my life! Treated horribly by the supervisor Justin and this kid named David. These two bungled the porting of my cellphone number of 33 years and it was because of their error! Do t ever deal with Verizon wireless ever! You've been warned folks! The manager stopped me at the door telling me we needed to wait until the other 3 people left the store. He wanted my ID and said that's the policy. He also stated families need to remain together so they don't have to wipe down the entire store. I believe it's time to change carriers because this is how it has been when going to the VERIZON IN DANADA . The manager on duty at 11am, 3/12/21, needs additional training on how to treat people. I am only giving this store one star because he first two people to greet me were extremely nice and helpful! However, the SALES rep that finally can to help me after TWENTY minutes of waiting around, would not honor the coupon I received via email because he hadn't seen it before. He was overly loud and EXTREMELY rude to me and basically kicked me out he door when I told him he was being unkind. He said "No there is nothing we can do for you." TERRIBLE sales experience. My husband left his company and needed to transfer business number to our personal account all thru verizon sounds easy right? Ha! Well they had a glitch in their system that they could not do until Aug 10th they told us this Aug 1!!! 5 visits to the store 10 calls into the company sometimes up to 45 minutes in the phone took 13 days to complete. My husband needed an upgrade and thought hmmmm as a great customer we are and what we have been thru could we get an upgrade stores said they cannot honor it, calling verizon could not honor it, I contacted them on Facebook and they check out my story said yes and it would take 24 hours to get into the system. We waited 48 hours and when we walked into the store the store member looked at me like I had lobsters coming out of my head! So in front of her I contact them in Facebook 15 minutes later they put in the upgrade! Now everyone in the store is busy and cannot wait on us and after 40 minutes we walk out! The service now is they have all their sales people looking at their devices. It's like teenagers constantly on their phone walking around. No one can help, I asked for mangers every chance I got no one ever called back and I am paying $230 a month for two lines. This is acceptable customer service? Waiting 13 days to transfer a number to our personal line? Promised a upgrade for it never to happen.... Guess what?? I drove across the street got my service transfer, hubby has his new Galaxy 6 phone and we are saving over a hundred dollars a month! Never thought about leaving verizon but I put together an entire law practice together office, furniture purchased computers, built a website, stationary and verizon could not transfer a business line to person which was alllll Verizon accounts and could not honor an upgrade that was well deserved! This is the best experience I've had at a Verizon wireless store and with a salesman (Jason). I run a business myself and rely heavily on my cellphones for both my employees and I. Today, I broke my phone and was in a complete panic. I hurried over to this store pretty frustrated and immediately Jason calmed me down and took care of me. He got me a new phone, upgraded my account to a business account, and set me up with their new one talk feature which instantly saved my business about $60 a month, which is unbelievable. Jeremy, another salesman, was also super helpful walking one of my guys and I through the new one talk plan which I'm super excited about for my business. I honestly can't believe the bad reviews that are left on here about this place and I would highly recommend this to all my friends and family. Great job guys! read more

He has always been very helpful and has helped me purchase a new phones for my family, multiple accessories, and even took the time to go over my bill so I was on the right plan. Awful customer service. Basically a repeat of the other reviews. Since I live in Wheaton have been going to this store for years. There is always a long wait (I'm talking daytime hours during the week), the staff is condescending and rude. If you are upgrading it takes an excruciatingly long time. I went in today (a Thursday morning) to ask a question about a setting. As usual it took about five minutes to even get acknowledged. The person waiting n front of me just wanted a new case. We were snootily told they'd put us on the list for an indeterminate wait. They really are only interested in the sales aspect. I left and went to the naperville store on Ogden. The people that this Verizon store do not care. They will suggest a factory reset for pretty much any problem you suggest or try to imply that it is a user error. I have had a Droid Turbo 2 for two years and it is had many problems. Zero stars if it would allow it... We went in to upgrade our phones and the sales rep, John tried to completely take advantage of us. Because we were eager to buy he assumed we would not research and realize he flat out lied to us about the offer presented. He also became agitated toward us when we questioned things. It felt very condescending and unprofessional. My instinct told me to ask for a manager but I was eager for my phone. As a consumer who wishes we all Get fair deals , avoid working with John. He is looking out for himself but does not present an offer that is also in your benefit as a customer. John offered us the option to get a "free" tablet that would be the same price if we added it on to our phone plan. We questioned how this would he free and he told us it was a multi line discount. In actuality , he altered the cost of the first plan we had to have less data , and then told us he was giving us a special offer he pulled strings for. He got combative when we didn't see the value in this and scoffed at me when I told him I had no use for this tablet. After we spoke to corporate and A manager we realized we had paid for those tablets after all! He presented the deal in a different light and told us they were free. The manager at the store said he was shocked we were not given the receipt showing we paid for those tablets. Basically , they use a gimmick to get you to believe you are getting a discount only offered to you and they manipulate the way they explain this so that you think you're getting it free. We were very clear we didn't want them and he made it sound like we were crazy not to take This deal It turns out , after we called corporate that this action is not condoned and we were assured a district manager would speak to him. Beware of This scam and demand to see a breakdown of the costs. Do not accept the handwritten "used car deal" like offer he will Present you, showing you options. Demand a receipt. We found out afterwards that he purposely did not give us the receipt that proved how the "deal" worked Corporate apologized , the store texted us to apologize but I also think this is how their associates are trained. If John wasn't so agitated every time we had questioned him, we would not have been so upset. But nobody likes to be swindled , so please beware and do your homework before working with this store and I would suggest asking for a different rep We all work very hard for our money and deserve honesty and respect. That is how life long customers are earned. Trust is created with honestly not gimmicks. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!! The manager, Mark Radziszweski, was extremely impolite, inconsiderate and downright rude. I went in there for essentially a price adjustment, after having already spoken to customer service. I was still within my worry -free 14 day time period and there was a note on my account from the customer service agent who had specifically told me "they have to honor it; do not take no for an answer." Mark told me that customer service obviously doesn't know how things operate in the stores, and there was nothing he could do. Yet he is a so-called "Solutions Manager." Ha! I then told him that I would call customer service and get them back on the line. He told me to go ahead and see what they could do. What he neglected to tell me was that he had a direct line to customer service that he could've called himself. Instead he made me call the 800 number and wait 50 minutes while sitting at his store to get through to an agent (they were experiencing extremely high call volumes). When I told this to the customer service agent, she was mortified. I am a working mother of 7 children & he robbed me of the only downtime I have with my kids in the evening. I should never have had to spend almost 2 hours of my life trying to resolve this. I am sick over it!!! I will be blasting this store and their management to any and everyone who will listen, including the higher-ups at Verizon Wireless. read more

This store used to be on Geneva in Wheaton and was a great store. Unfortunately they did not keep the same staff and the manager Jose is the worst customer service person I have ever met. He was unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude. I should have looked at the reviews before I went there because they are both right on. The only helpful employee was Matt who finally got me taken care of one hour and 20 minutes after Jose brushed me to the side to take care of other customers who came in after me! Every time we go to the Wheston location, we come across employees who have horrible customer service skills. They are never willing to help us. We went in tonight before closing and they made no efforts to really help us. After getting frustrated and walking out they locked up. They were in such a rush to close, they were unwilling to help us. I was looking to upgrade my phone, but now I am having second thoughts. It isn't the first time we have had problems with them. Culture has changed at this store. Staff used to be welcoming and helpful. Now, two years later the staff is condescending and dismissive. Most importantly, watch out for sneaky sales promotions and fine print. You'll be asked to sign on an iPad and you'll probably miss monthly charges that will haunt you for the duration of your contract. The Verizon phone-based customer service is excellent which makes the attitude at the corporate store frustrating and confusing. In the end, I counted down the days until I could escape to another carrier. Even with an opportunity to price match the competition, Verizon salespeople said: "Nope. Nothing we can do." This store was the worst Verizon wireless experience I have ever had. We worked with Jason Dank who was incredibly cocky and condescending. He set up a new plan for us that he claimed would be saving us a ton of money and it actually had ended up being more.... I've now collectively spent over 7 hours on the phone with verizon trying to correct what he did. At one point when I questioned what he was claiming, he pulls out his business card and says "see this? It's 2015 Winners circle" aka what star employees get for excellent service..... given the incredibly poor service he gave us in the store.. I understand why he is not 2016 winners circle. I went in to get a screen protector for my new iPhone. They said they could install it for me. So they took my phone to the back to install the screen protector. The guy came out of the back and gave me my phone. I then stepped outside to look at in the sun. I found dog hair and finger prints underneath the screen protector. I then walked back in and had them redo the screen protector. They then took my phone back to redo it again. They came out and I stepped outside again and it still wasn't right. I then went back into the store and the manager was very rude saying they are not allowed to install screen protectors. I then said my mom had a screen protector installed at another Verizon store and it didn't come out like this. She then made excuses why it turned out the way it did. She then refused to install a new screen protector on my iPhone. I had to fight them to get my 27.05 back on the screen protector. read more

We stopped in last night, just to see what our options might be to switch our phone plan now that Verizon has recently updated their options. We first went to an authorized dealer closer to home, but were left waiting for 20 minutes without being helped, and I'm glad we found this place instead. Despite other reviewers, we found John to be very helpful. He's a straight shooter. He probably up sold us into the newest phone, but after having the Samsung S7 for only one day, it was already worth it. He managed to get my fiance and I in to brand new phones, with one more gig of data a month, for the same price we were already paying. I had a few months until I was even eligible for an upgrade, but he made an exception in exchange for trading in my old phone, because they have a current demand for them I guess. Once he got us set up with the new phones, the customer experience rep Erika came over and helped us all our info to our new phones. She definitely knows her stuff, and was very nice. She factory reset our old phones right in front of us, which was peace of mind. Overall, we left feeling much better than when we have gone to any other Verizon store. No wait, and everyone was friendly enough. They didn't strong arm us into buying any accessories either, which is a common turn off for us! read more

I was taken care of promptly, all of my issues were resolved, and Denise set me up with a new phone, was very patient while I found all of my correct passwords. Stopped in there when my phone up and died. The one girl that was shadowing was nice. The first person worked with me a little but I had to return later to finish the deal. When I came back and told them I changed my mind and didn't want to pay extra for a Galaxy notebook and that I would have to figure out something else,the salesperson got pretty snotty with me even though he could tell I was very frustrated. He didn't try to do anything extra to help me and was very short with me, like he was ready to go home. I left and went to the South Elgin store and they were wonderful, gave me a great deal and couldn't believe that Wheaton wouldn't even offer me what they did. Completely baffled by their "sales process"! I went here this afternoon to purchase a new cell phone since my phone recently broke down. I was eligible for an upgrade and figured it should be a smooth process since I am already a Verizon customer, and was going to be purchasing a brand new phone. After the run around with the front staff, due to "account authorized user non-sense", I was finally able to speak to a "sales person". The man asked me which phones I was interested in and I told him that I wanted to purchase the Galaxy S 7. He then looked into my account and noticed that two other users on our accounts (my mother and brother) were eligible for an upgrade too. I explained to him that even though we are on the same plan, they handle their phones separately and that I just want to purchase my own cell phone. Like any salesperson, he began explaining that he can get our whole family this amazing deal if I were to purchase all three phones together. I again, thanked him for the offer and told him I would only be purchasing my own cell phone. His last remark was, "You are going to lose your family a lot of money..." This immediately pissed me off. He then went on to ask what I do for a living, what things I own, what do I use them for, what do I use my phone for, etc (trying to sell/add on more thing to my purchase). He then proceeded to ask if I have a bluetooth enabled car, because I guess in the state of Illinois, cell phone carriers have to make sure their customers are "hands free users" before selling them the phones. Since I didn't know if my car was or not, he then proceeded to tell me that they would have to sell me a bluetooth headset or a bluetooth thing for my car in order for me to leave with a cellphone. I actually went on the internet later and researched this law. From my research, you do not need to have a bluetooth enabled car to have a cell phone. You must be "hands free", yes, by using a speakerphone, headseat, or a bluetooth, but this does not mean you are unable to purchase a cell phone if you do not have a bluetooth enabled vehicle. He then left me to go "see what deals I am able to get you to save you money". I immediately walked out and went home. I was legit about to give them $700 right then and there, and within 20 minutes they lost that revenue. Never going here again... read more

The sales staff is very friendly. But, I am very discouraged with what we were told to expect and what we actually experienced. We go into the store, they tell us what we need to do to replace our phone, then when we come in to actually replace them we are given the choice of only three phones for the replacement. Not the phones we talked about prior, the ones we told them we wanted of course. I called the Verizon customer service number to ask for assistance regarding a warrenty phone issue I had. OMG. What has happen to Verizon? Between being put on hold, transferred totally randomly and basically made to feel like my time was not important. Have they forgotten the meaning of customer service. I did not yell,swear, or insult them in any way but..... I seriously do not intend on returning to this Verizon store when my contract ends, and I intend on researching Verizon vs. other providers with the intent of going elsewhere. We have been loyal to Verizon for a long, long time. Never before have we been so misguided and treated so disrespectfully both in the store and with customer service. Been trying to think when I have been treated more poorly by a merchant - but I can't. I went into Verizon to replace my phone - sales guy says "we got this great deal on the Motorola phones, just bring in any smartphone, even an old Blackberry and we can give you a huge credit and all sorts of good stuff". so I went home to look but didn't have any old phones. Went back, he says "you can just run down to Walmart and buy the CHEAPEST smart phone you can get and we will take that" - he added that the day before some guy brought in a phone I never heard of and they took it. So we traipse down to Walmart (favorite place to go on a Sunday afternoon) and get a cheap phone. Back to Verizon, different sales guy but he says he knows all about it - then he looks at the phone and disappears with it. Comes back out and says "sorry, this phone is not in our system - we can only take a Verizon, AT&T or TMobile phone". I said whoa, why did the other guy tell me ANY phone was fine? Well he missed this. No, he flat out lied. Well, no problem, just take this phone back, get another phone, make a 4th trip in here, and we will happily sell you a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 (suddenly the ONLY Moto phone this offer applies to, and NOT the phone I was looking at) for $500! It was good the wife was with me, she got me out of there before I erupted. I will never go in this place again; I would drop the service altogether if the family wasn't about $1000 behind on paying off the stupid phones we have to constantly replace.
