Let's first start by saying that Craig (I sure hope that was his name as it's the only thing coming to mind) was a phone saver! I came here on a Tuesday afternoon after what seemed like a ton of unsuccessful experiences with Verizon (via the online customer service tool and another Verizon location). Due to prior Verizon customer support not being able to determine a successful resolution to my issue, I was essentially without a workable phone for almost three full days. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted by Craig who asked what brought me in. After I explained what my issue was and explained my experience thus far with Verizon regarding this issue, he immediately assured me that it was a quick fix (which it was). He quickly learned that the last step of setting up my eSIM was unfortunately not completed successfully (which was activating the eSIM) which caused none of my calls, text, and internet services to work without WiFi. With his knowledge and expertise, I was probably at Verizon for all of 15 minutes, if that, and left with a working phone. Big props to Craig, who allowed me to leave as a satisfied customer. read more

I have been going to this Verizon store since 2020 when I worked in a nearby office building. I no longer work in that area but I now go out of my way because of the very kind and helpful support I have received from the staff, especially Everett Kline. Mr. Kline has helped me over the years with many issues related to my Verizon service, including today. I am extremely grateful. Beware! Silly "Device Setup Fee." My clerk, Everett, was fantastic. However, despite me explaining to him that I had already backed my two iPhones that were being upgraded to both iCloud and my computers, he went ahead and transferred data from both iPhones to new ones without telling me I would be charged $40 a phone!!!! I would never had paid for this had he mentioned this charge. Again, great service, but beware of this gotcha! Update: After speaking with company I got things fixed. While I never would had agreed to a migration at $40 a device, I do have to say I really liked Everett. All in all, I would come back to this store. read more

This store almost ruined my peace of mind and my health. I went there shortly after my husband passed away. At the time we had a senior plan in which we each payed $60 a month for a complete IPhone service. We were very happy with this plan as it also had unlimited data. Shortly after the funeral I decided to upgrade my IPhone to a 12 Pro, as it had a better camera. I also decided to keep my late husband's phone as calls and texts related to bills he paid were still coming in on his phone and decided to upgrade his to an Iphone 12. I decided to upgrade because Verizon was offering a"deal" where you handed in your current IPhone in part payment for a new model. So I handed in my IPhone 7 and my late husband's IPhone 6, in exchange/part payment for the new upgraded IPhone 12 devices. I was told I would pay off off the price difference in installments within 24 months. Now, almost 12 months later: I still owe $1,000 on the two upgraded devices (even though I handed in two perfectly good phones in the exchange deal). But there is worse, much much worse. For the past months I have been charged between $350 and $500 a month for service for the two phones. The add-ons that Verizon has included in my bill are endless. I never asked for them. I never call internationally because I exclusively use Whatsapp for texting or calling overseas. The bill I am receiving is so complicated and raises my blood pressure so high it is making me physically ill. I keep wanting to go in to complain but am afraid I might pass out if I re-enter this store. The store salesman was wily and took advantage of my recent widowhood which I stupidly mentioned in wanting to upgrade my late husband's phone for the reasons mentioned above. Clearly, I cannot continue to pay this for a phone service I thought would be $60 a month. It is ruining my financially, emotionally and physically. No, I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this store to anyone. read more

We went into this new store so that my mom could get her new phone turned on. Mark Argenal was super nice, friendly, and helpful to my mom, and went out of his way to help her. These people were so friendly but ended up ruining my relationship with Verizon. They messed up my billing on all four phones in multiple ways and it took hours on the phone, 3 long visits to the REAL Verizon store at Tysons mall and about 14 months to resolve the issue. When I turned to them to fix the problem THEY created they said "sorry we don't handle complex billing problems". This place is the absolute worst. They are so unfriendly and are complete morons. They screwed up on their end messing up the shipping and now are trying to charge me for their mistake. Employees don't listen to you and end up making more mistakes. Dealing with Verizon's online service as well as their in person employees is a complete nightmare. DECEPTIVE and UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES The sales experience seemed good. Until I discovered I was overcharged $200. Since I was putting it on a plan I didn't see the receipt that was nicely folded and tucked into the bag with the phone box and new cover. I joined my daughter as she was interested in getting a new phone. Brian told her that the trade in value of the phone was $200. I asked about mine and he said it was the same. He Updike me $50 for the larger storage phone and I confirmed that the cost of the phone would be 550. He said yes. How much a month? A couple more $ per month. So were talking $25/month. Brian said yes. Okay! As I was checking out Brian said I had a free phone cover promo on my account. We looked and he said he couldn't find one. Then he found 2 other cases. I asked if these were also free. He said "Yes, you can do these." Good! Checking out there's no screen for a customer to see the charges. The only cost was the setup charge of $40 and and the taxes. Everything seemed to go as expected. We arrived home around 7 and I dropped the bag on the counter. When I looked at the bill the next day my trade in was rung up at $45 and I was charged $45 for the "free" cover. A sweet additional deceptive $200 profit pocked by the store. Ok... so I hate getting a new cell phone. I hate the process. I hate having to spend the time to do it. It makes me grumpy. BUT, yesterday I got a new iphone for me and a second one for my son... and Brian Rivera was awesome. He saw me walk in, immediately helped me and got everything done FAST. He let me know all of my options. Before long, I wasn't grumpy anymore. Really nice guy. Excellent service. As fast as possible. I was blatantly lied to by an employee today in attempt to get me to pay more money. My iphone broke and I was able to get my hands on a lightly used verizon android for free through a friend. When I went into the store to switch over my phone number, I was forced to pay $40, which I thought was pricey but not entirely unreasonable. Then, I asked if the employee could help me transfer my contacts, and he claimed that it would cost another $40. I asked him how I could transfer my contacts myself and he plainly told me that there was no way to do it without coughing up $40 to him. I immediately suspected that he was lying and went home to do more research, which confirmed my suspicion. It was incredibly easy to do on my own and the employee tried to trick me into paying him $40 unnecessarily. Tisk tisk. I will not be using this store in the future. read more

Customer service at this location is poor, to say the least. We put our name on the list and were assigned a rep (this, at least, did not take long) who proceeded to barely listen to what my husband and I were considering doing (pulling me off a family plan and adding my line to my husband's individual account). We were looking for some feedback/advice on if this move was the best idea money-wise, how much it would cost, etc., and the rep (Habib) proceeded to start entering information into the computer as if the decision was final and we consented to have him make the change immediately. We barely got any eye contact from him, let alone thoughtful customer support. He actually laughed when we told him the data plan we were considering. In addition, we asked if VZW would be able to honor the BOGO deal on S5s that was in effect the week prior, seeing as how AT&T was offering $100 credits off new smartphones (in addition to a cheaper plan by comparison, I might add). The response was a blank stare and, "Verizon has a better network." Okk...not really what we asked, but fine. I understand that some employees just don't have any wiggle room when it comes to deals, but I would have appreciated a more direct excuse rather than a snotty comment about Verizon being better. Honestly the whole experience put me off even more from Verizon, as it seems there is a mentality that because of their "superior network," they can treat customers however they please and customers just have to deal with it. In the meantime, I will definitely not be returning to this location for any future needs. read more

I don't usually yelp about anything. But I am so offended by the service I received here. I am a mall employee and have been here many times and have been helped by a lovely lady who I think is a manager. I went in the other day because my bill was almost $50 higher than usual. A gentleman near the desk asked if he could help me. I said sure. I identify him as being middle aged, black and gay so that you may know who he is if you run into him, but I don't say that to be racist or homophobic as I am gay myself. I have never been so condescended, talked down to, not listened to, and made to feel so stupid in my life. He was wretched with his nasty queeny attitude and his fake apologies that "I don't understand my account." I literally turned and walked away from him in the middle of our conversation because I knew I would embarrass myself if I said what I wanted to say, while at least 5 other people at the front desk including the manager I enjoyed working with before did nothing and watched me leave. I've not been impressed with prior visits to this store but I thought they could take care of a simple request. I needed a "Nano" sized SIM card and called the store to find out if they can do this. There response was "Yes, but it will cost $20.00." This kinda surprised me and the person who answered the phone said "That's what Verizon charges us." The tone of the person on the phone was like she was talking to her poor cousins. Whether or not Verizon charges them (and how much), I don't know. However, I called Verizon Wireless support and they are sending a SIM card to my house, free of charge. If you deal with them, be sure you confirm anything you are told which sounds strange. read more

Completely dishonest business practices. Went in to purchase a new phone. I asked if the price in store was the same as online and was told yes (I specifically said the price). I also asked if there was still an upgrade/activation fee these days and was told that those were waived due to Covid. I also asked to use my Device Dollars and was told they could not be applied to this purchase but would show up on my next bill. I also stated I wanted to pay for the phone in full and to not be put on a payment plan. When the total came up I asked why it was so high and was told that the total was high because it included all of the various taxes. I signed and was told an e-receipt would be sent to my email. I got home to find out I was charged a higher amount for the phone, I was charged an upgrade/activation fee, my device dollars were not on my next bill and they could have in fact been used to purchase a new phone, AND I was put on an installment plan even though I paid for the phone in full in the store. To make matters worse they sent an email asking about my service with Brian and I left this review on that and checked the box for request a phone call and have yet to hear from anyone. Don't bother going here. On top of lackluster service they lied to me and I wasted money coming here. read more

Was so upset and left after wasting an hour. Came back today and different experience. Great staff helped me out and was a totally different experience. Lack of services offered, such as returning equipment and offering replacement phones. Lack of knowledge of wireless plans and options. And it's just a terrible location. Bottom line on top: my experience upgrading my iPhone and wireless service agreement was easy and understandable. At no point did I feel pressured to buy anything I didn't want. I needed to upgrade my phone and was helped by Simba at the Verizon Wireless store at the Tysons Corner mall. He completely and clearly explained all of my options and helped to make sure I got the best deal possible. Simba spent time to alleviate all of my concerns and skepticism by walking me through all relevant products, services, and agreements as well as their associated charges. I came to this Verizon store today to see if I could get a better plan as I always seem to get close to my data limit. Daniel, the associate who helped me, was awesome. He found me a plan that was cheaper than what I'm currently paying, and also upgraded me from 3 GB to 4 GB. No need to sign any contract, and no pressure to buy extra products/services. I am beyond impressed and more than pleasantly surprised with the superior level of customer service and professionalism provided to me by my Verizon customer service rep at the 2059 Chain Bridge Rd, Tysons VA location - his name is Amrow. He is knowledgeable, helpful, has a friendly demeanor and saved me a LOT of money by guiding me in selecting the best wireless plan for me and my family. Some of the best customer service I have ever had, period! I highly recommend Amrow. There was another sales person (I didn't catch her name) who took the time to chit-chat with my nine year-old daughter (even though I wasn't her client). She was great too. I have been to this Verizon store many times and the customer service people have always been very helpful and pleasant. That changed today when I met William L. I was the only customer in the store and William seemed to be in a rushed state throughout my visit. He was not a good listener and made many mistakes because he did not use information that was told to him. After my transaction was done I asked him why my corporate discount was lower than usual (5% today) and he said, "Because that is what I chose to give you. Reps are on commission and we get to choose the commission rate." I usually get %15 off corporate purchases but clearly William was either having a bad day or just has a bad attitude. read more

Normally when I go into Verizon I have a good experience and feel taken care of. HOWEVER last year I was duped into getting the Edge plan. The sales associate explained that I would pay 599 over 24 months and that once half of the plan was paid off I would be eligible for unlimited upgrades without further cost to me as long as the phone I was trading in was refurbish able or able to be resold. GREAT! Sign me up! BEWARE. This is not the edge plan at all. It's like leasing a car. First you pay the 599. Then when you upgrade you start paying monthly for your phone and you can either buy it entirely at the NON DISCOUNTED price or trade it in and take on another monthly payment for another phone. That being said, when I first signed up they attached the edge plan to the wrong line, so when I went in to upgrade there was first this mess of trying to get the sales associates to recognize they had made this mistake in the first place.( because they tried to blame me and said that I'm the one who attached this 599 plan to a number that has had an old dinosaur flip phone... what sense does that make?) Then they tell me they are switching the edge plan and putting it on the appropriate number. But instead signed me up for ANOTHER 2 year edge plan. WTF. Oh. By the way. The entire edge plan has since changed from when I signed up and no longer acts the same way from when I signed up. So now I no longer can go upgrade when half my plan is paid off. Not the entire plan has to be paid off. WTF × 2 can't I be grandfathered in? Ugghhh your killing me verizon! Killing me! So now I've been on the customer care line for over an hour and the lady on the phone should be hired 5 times over at any verizon store because SHE knows wtf is going on and can explain it in a way that makes sense to me and apologized (something they apparently don't teach the end sales reps) and helped me figure out a way to bring down my monthly payments and get more data for no extra charge so that in the end I'm basically getting the phone for free. TAKE THAT VERIZON STORE! WTF×3! Bottom line beware of the sales reps. They are not entirely knowledgeable on the products they are pitching. I mistakenly decided to check out this location instead of the Tysons Corner location (b/c it would be less crowded). Although it was almost empty inside, I spent probably 3x's more time in there then if I had gone to a busier location. The employees would pause helping customers to have social conversations with co-workers. One of them was eating on top of the counter (was not phased by the manager who walked by and said nothing). There was 8employees and 3 customers and I waited 45mins. Horrible management!!!!!!!! read more

Used to like going to to this store because the employees were helpful and knew their devices. Then yesterday, they insisted on charging me a $40 upgrade fee for a device I was purchasing at full retail price because I was specifically NOT yet eligible for an upgrade. I confirmed with VZW customer service last night that the store should NOT have charged an upgrade fee. When I ordered the device online later last night, there was no upgrade fee. Even worse, the employee did not mention the upgrade fee until I asked why the total price on the screen seemed about $50 too high. They just asked me to sign the purchase screen without showing me the breakdown. When I saw it and questioned the fee after this same employee told me I was NOT eligible for an uograde, other employees, including the apparent manager, said that the fee was appropriate. I walked out. As a lawyer who has litigated such cases, I can confidently say this is consumer FRAUD. I hope VZW will reprimand this store as its online CS said it would. I did have a bit of a wait time.. But the rep that helped us, Kari, made up for the wait. I upgraded to the iPhone 5 and they took back my iPhone 4 which gave me a discount. Kari went above and beyond as well, by putting on my screen protector and new case. AND I was with my boyfriend who badly needed a new screen protector for his iPhone 4.. Kari cleaned up his screen and put a new screen protector on his phone while we were waiting!! Awesome!! read more

As a former mall worker (not from the area though), I'm always cautious about any mall customer service because...well...ask any current/former retail worker. I was surprised to be greeted and attended by such amazing staff by Verizon. I was looking for a screen protector for my phone, and they immediately asked if they could help. That day, I also walked into the AT&T and Best Buy Mobile stores. None of their workers offered to help even as I perused around both stores for a screen protector. You should be lucky to be assigned to a knowledgeable and caring customer support. First of all the wait time is long. I got Verion Fios for my home, but good luck trying to change any part of your contract. 9 out of ten times they get it wrong, which usually means that you will pay more. When it comes to wireles, internet and cable, there is no competition. Verizon is not good, however Cox was worse. So I had to choose between bad and worse. read more
