I was in a pinch. My phone died with my money all on Apple Pay. In order to buy another charger I needed to charge my phone. I went into the store and simply explained this to them. They didn't ask if I was a Verizon Customer, which I am, they didn't decline in any way. They allowed me to charge my phone and I was able to buy the charger that I needed it. Kind, generous people working in this store. Does a review really matter? No but I did one so they know how grateful I am. read more

After my phone call I went to this location only to find several in stock! Basically the person I spoke with lied to me and was too lazy to go look to see if they had what I needed. I could give this store zero stars if I could. They couldn't handle a simple upgrade for me. They stated they shipped a phone to my address but it never came. I got charged for an upgrade that they said they would refund but it never went through. I spent hours on the phone with Verizon handling the refund that the store should have handled. I will never be going to this store and would caution others against it. Wesley Phillips was the agent assisting me and he eventually stopped answering my calls about this issue. My family's go-to Verizon store ever since we got to know Cameron 15654 years ago. And then he transferred away for a bit and then recently transferred back to this store. Cameron gets the job done. He is always very helpful and patient--which speaks volumes especially since my parents can be a teeny bit extra at times haha. Regardless, he does it with good cheer. Tip: He's good at putting screen protectors on too. Shelton (who is really pushing for King Shelton) is great too! And the rest of the team here seems really chill. I don't think I've ever experienced bad customer service before like other Yelpers have described. You can tell the people here work together as a team. Upon entering the store, customers are greeting and asked what the purpose of their visit is. If there's an influx of customers, you are placed in a queue and the next available representative will assist you. We've visited on a number of occasions, typically later in the day and have stayed past closing time too. Not intentionally, but we end up talking about other things and get carried away. The point is, we never felt pressured to leave. Some places, there would be people standing at the door waiting for customers to leave or something similar where you can tell they're just waiting for you. Anyway, I highly recommend asking for Cameron or Shelton to assist you. The team as a whole is great and I wouldn't want to go to any other Verizon store. read more

This new "Get Up and Go" fee is more like a "Get Up and Go Home and Do it Yourself" fee. I wish I could put the main guys name here, but he uses other peoples tablets to sign in. (Pretty sure you're not supposed to do that.) The charges don't stop there. I then had an additional two lines charged on my phone that the service team had to refund me for. my wife and I went to the store to upgrade our phones and the first question we asked was did they have the phones available in the store. The answer was yes they had a few so we should be good. After waiting for 45 mins to see someone they then said we needed to order the phones to be shipped to our homes. we then asked if a nearby store had the phones and after some research the guy mentioned they had them @ the buckhead location. when we got there they said the phones would take even longer to get to us. bottom line both the buckhead location and Lavista seemed to be focused on getting a sale instead of making the customer happy. They were very pushy about us purchasing from the location we were at instead of fcousins on making us the customera happy we ended up going to bestbuy and they had the phones and great customer service. I'd recommend going that route instead of pushy sales people like the Verizon store team members. read more

In short, this is my go-to Verizon store. You can tell that the customer service is the priority. The employees actively hold each other accountable to greet every customer and address their needs. Throughout the store, you can hear them asking each other "Did you greet that man?" and "Has that lady been helped?". I was pretty impressed. The issue with my account could not be taken care of that day, but the employee who helped me gave me his card so that I can follow up if I needed to. I did not need to reach out to him personally because my issue was ultimately resolved in a timely manner; hence, I know that he did all that he could behind the scenes to take care of me. Still, I appreciate the personal touch and a sense of personal accountability that he demonstrated. read more

We have been long term customers at this store with good results until today. The staff seemed aloof, unfriendly and annoyed. The overall feeling when you walked in was accurately described by my daughter as "soul sucking". We were put in queue and went to look at iphones. A rep blocking access to the phones and was irritated when I asked to see phones. Our rep came over, never looked me in the eye and only knew "buzzwords" about the phones- couldnt tell me the difference between and iPhone XR and 11. I had to research myself and when said I was ready to buy was told Id need to go back in the queue. To the mgmt -I was ready to buy and would have with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Please tell your staff to learn how to sell the products. This is a $700- $1000 investment. Not Small change. The staff is clearly unhappy. read more

Called the store after discovering a family member's phone wouldn't turn on. I spoke with a very helpful woman who said they stocked both phones I had been inquiring about at 4 previous locations. I got there with the intention to get in and get out. I was promptly greeted by a sales associate then taken over to the phones I had inquired about purchasing. The person helping me acted like he couldn't have been more bothered to be helping me. He also didn't know the products enough to carry on a direct conversation. My first question was never directly answered and I was just asking about basic screen dimensions- which came down to is this screen bigger than that one. He never asked another sales associate about the liquid glass screen protector I was describing that had been purchased in May for my most recent phone- at another Verizon store- (maybe this isn't offered at this location, fair) instead he looked at me like I had absolutely no idea what I was saying and made no motion to understand or explain anything further even though I had JUST bought something completely different than what I had asked for. When asking about GRIP Security he could not communicate with me clearly to say it transfers over to the newest phone. After iCloud data was restored and the screen protector was applied he just walked off. No thank you, no acknowledgement. Will only be going to the Decatur Verizon location from now on. I asked and they had bumped yet another person ahead of me and we no help. I recently went into this Verizon to take part in the "free iPhone 7" program where I was then promised $650.00 paid monthly for 24 months for my iPhone 6. This incentive was the ONLY reason I purchased the iPhone 7, and now I've been stuck with a $600 bill because of some shotty secondary appraisal. The representative at the Verizon store looked at my old device and told me I would be guaranteed $650 and no less than $450.. yet I was only given $110 account credit. This is absolutely unacceptable and a ridiculous scam to trap customers into paying full price for this ridiculous "deal". I am extremely dissatisfied and am strongly contemplating swapping providers and having them pay out my remaining balance. This trade in program seemed too good to be true and it absolutely was. The report said my device had an unresponsive screen but it did not. The phone was 100% operational when submitted with this "non returnable" device trade in program. This has been the worst customer service I've ever received and I cannot express in words my frustration and discontent with both Verizon and their representatives. read more

Went two weeks ago to delete hot spot sold to us, even though we didn't need it. My niece on my plan thought she needed it. I got it for her. Talked to a CSR who told me we should have never been sold it, that her phone would have accomplished the same job. Waited 30 minutes in store and no help. Left. Will try again soon. Want to get these charges off my plan. Been a customer since like '95. Would have been a customer before, but we had company phones, which I later talked the company into using Verizon, no thanks from Verizon, though. I went into the store today. Had the great misfortune of having Nick to wait on me. He displayed the worst customer service of all time. His comments to my questions about my current cell made absolutely no sense. He had no willingness to help..I asked about new cells ..he didn't even exert any effort to try to sell the new cell. I then asked if there was a trade in value on my current cell. He started to check something on his apparatus when the store phone began to ring..without saying excuse me for minute, he answers the store phone and proceed to talk at length and give information to the customer on the phone. As The Mgr-Cameron walked up, I asked if this was the way they handled business, Hot head Cameron says Mam we do have to answer the phone..of course you do, but do you not tell your customer there in your face just a moment, answer the store phone and ask that person to hold because you have a customer here.. This store is the worst..because of employees like Nick and Cameron. Please don't go there. Altogether, dont buy Verizon AT ALL. For this New Year I will be changing carriers. read more

Spoke to a representative to ask if my mom came in to tell her I bought her a phone because her phone isn't working . She told me she couldn't deny a sale if she is the account holder. All I wanted was for them to let my mom know that if she came I to that store I had already bought her a phone and not to worry about it. I was helped my a guy named Torre Davis. Headline of this review: The sales people lie to your face and the customer service is a joke. First issue, as he was completing the sale he was rushing us through the process and had NO intention of telling us he was changing our data and phone plans. He had no intention of explaining our new plan to us until I pointedly asked. Second issue, after discussing the plan details he assured me twice that this new plan was less than what we were currently paying. Then I reminded him that we were adding an insurance plan so THAT would be more expensive, and he mumbled in agreement. When I had a moment to look at the plan in WRITING online I realized he completely LIED to me, it was about $45 more a month than I had been paying. Not sure how this guy does math, but that is not less? Third issue, we had to pull our old data over ourselves on both of the new smartphones? The tech in this location seemed to be unable to complete any task without moaning and complaining and then finally saying we would have to do it ourselves? Useless. And I'm pretty sure I know which person was in charge, she stood in the window taking turns between checking herself out in the reflection and texting on her cell? What a joke. To the reviewer, C.W.: Don't worry. Eye contact would not have made a difference. I went to this Verizon AGAIN to see if my problem could be resolved. Was pleased to see that they replaced the check in computers with human robots. The human robots didn't improve service though. I waited for about 40 minutes before I finally gave up. While waiting, I made it a point to sit on a bench and call several people to loudly announce that I couldn't hear them since I was on my second bad Droid 4 and had been sitting at Verizon for much too long and I would call them back if I could get my phone fixed. I don't blame the human robots (since they were obviously programmed). I had already researched the ear speaker problem with my 2nd defective Droid 4 and I learned that it was a common problem. Apparently, there is a temporary fix using a bluetooth device. I decided to buy one, since I really shouldn't drive around holding a phone to my ear anyway. I explained to the human robot that I had some place to be, so I would have to return in a day or two, but that I wanted to buy a bluetooth. Since I had never used a bluetooth (I know), I asked for his assistance. When I asked which one he recommended, he said something like "They all work. Some work in your ear and some go around your ear." Duh. I've never used one and even I know that. After he spent about 10 minutes with me pointing out the different colors and shapes, I selected one. He had to go to the back to retrieve a key to unlock the anti-theft device before he told me that I would STILL have to wait until my name was called to purchase the bluetooth. WHAT???? That human robot needs to be reprogrammed. I told him that I would just go to Best Buy next door and buy the same device. How stupid is Verizon for not having separate sales and service counters? With their increasing prices, it's no wonder that they can lose accessory sales. I usually try to avoid Best Buy, but they saved me tonight. read more

I give the two stars since I waited forever to get my new phone switched over to my number. I went on a Wednesday afternoon not expecting it to be crowded but either they are slow or it was just big requests ahead of me. I believe I waited an hour for help. The workers there are very nice however not all of them listen to you very well since my name was listed as Adam Shor when I told them Autumn Shores. Luckily no one else on their waiting list had AS as initials so I just went with it being me they were calling to service. Once I was called it was smooth sailing. We had tried getting help with a cell phone issue at a "Verizon" store out in the Snellville area, but as they were a franchise, not only could/would they not assist us, but they were a bit rude about it. The personnel at this La Vista store, however, were chill and helpful. There was a wait, as it was Sat in the late afternoon, and the store is not the most comfy place to be waiting around, so I'd advise one to leave kids at home if that's possible. Skip this store if you can - try one of the other verizon locations - went in to do a simple exchange of a defective fitbit i received as a gift - it was in original packaging with receipt - just wanted to exchange it for another one - they would not do the exchange unless I waited in their queue - the same queue as people signing up for or upgrading their phones - i asked how long the queue was and they said about and hour - I talked to the manager to see if he could do the exchange for me - he refused and said I'd have to wait and hour to do a 2 minute exchange even through he was not personally working with any customers at the time. Hey Verizon - Here's an idea - have one associate available for returns - it's called good customer service! I left without doing the return - and won't be back to this location ! read more

I never write reviews but I feel a need to help others from wasting their time. I've tried this store 4-5 times through the years and each time I have a bad/worse experience and end up having to leave to go to another store with knowledgeable staff. Verizon off Howell Mill rd is great (my go to store) but that is far away from Tucker. Nonetheless, I make the drive to get the help I need. At this store in Tucker- if you are not there to buy a phone or other device, you will have a long wait and will not get the wisdom you're looking for. Most of the staff I've encountered are not knowledgeable. My last trip, a salesman told me I didn't need a sim card because everything is done in the cloud now and he could not help me. The floor associates were polite and helpful, if misinformed. The AM on the other hand was another story. She gave me incorrect information about the features of a phone that I purchased, and when I tried to return it (because it lacked the features that I had specifically requested) she tried to charge me a restocking fee, saying that they were unable to waive the restocking fee at the store level. I called customer service about it and they told me that she would in fact be able to waive the fee, and to return to the store as they had made a note to waive the fee on my account. Wheni returned she flat out refused to waive the fee again. I had to call customer service again from my phone, while in the store. They told her that she would need to waive the restocking fee, and she REFUSED to the customer service agent, saying that she did not feel that I had a valid request (she told the cst srv that the features I had specifically requestd BEFORE purchasing my phone were "really not that important"). Customer service had to go back and manually credit my account for the restocking fee. The entire exchange took over an hour and half while I was on my lunch break. I would recomed against visiting this store if you want to avoid a huge customer service hassle. read more
