Went in the store today to return a box we didn't want was told never to come in the store again. Jimmy L. was the rep. again. I left the box unopened on the counter and we were told we had to wait in line for three other customers. Been there done that. I wasn't going to wait for returning a box I never wanted in the first place. "Customer Circus" all over again. Don't waste your time. Too stressful to deal with. If you are a Verizon customer go to the Bakersfield store @ 3800 California Ave. That is a corporate office. Make an appointment first or you'll have to wait. As stated many times in these reviews, the customer service is horrible. I've lived here ten years and have had only one acceptable experience. All other visits, I have vowed upon leaving the store to make a complaint. These people are not knowledgeable, apathetic, and are obviously not trained regarding even a slight consideration of Customer Service. Do NOT go to this place!!! They'll tell you to use your phone to scan a code to enter their waiting room. I told them my phone was broken and I couldn't scan anything that is why I came in. Was told that they could only have two people in the store at a time and said to wait outside. While having that conversation a white lady came in and started looking at the accessories until one of the two customers started leaving so she ran over and they started helping her without telling her she had to check in first. My sister checked in and we went to the Albertsons next door. It's been over 3hrs and no text that they are ready. Waste of time like their service. Policies only apply to most people. All others can do what they want. Got my phone fixed somewhere where money is still green regardless of the color of your skin. read more

Wish I could say something positive about my visit to this store. Twice now it's been terrible. I had a screen protector put on, and in less three weeks it started to lift in on the right side corner. On the left side there is a hairline fracture. No help at all from the store. "Send it in" ($10 s&h) "Its under warranty". Poor customer service. Why not remove the defective screen, put on a new one and send the defective screen protector back to the vendor? I recently had to get a new phone. The manager, Marianne, and her assistant, Brandon, were amazing!! They were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with me. They did everything they could to make my experience positive, expedient, and affordable. Although I didn't really expect to have to get a new phone, thanks to them, I got a better phone than before, a better deal, and they seamlessly transferred all of my data without any stress. I was having a problem with my galaxy s9+, took it into store to get help. After explaining what it wasn't doing, she told me it needed to be replaced and gave me a number to call and told me if I needed them to transfer information they would charge me $20. The number given was not to Verizon. I thought better and called Verizon. Within 10 minutes the representative at Verizon had things straightened out and now my phone is working like it should. Like Verizon, but not quite... Long story short, I needed a new phone, and they said they could adjust the price to match what Verizon offered me. We'll they can't, so I paid more for the phone than a real Verizon store would have charged me. When I called to ask about it, I was told they could make up the difference with accessories or something. Unfortunately, when I walked in the manager was just 'really sorry, can't help'. They are great for troubleshooting or accessories, but you should probably get the actual phone at a Verizon corporate store if you expect any sorry of discount. read more

The store manager, duane, is really helpful and awesome but i have to give a 2 star because the other staff all seem to give a s**t less when he isn't there. I had multiple issues with a phone i bought and the store manager helped me the first 2 times, wonderful guy and pays complete attention to you. When i had to come back a few other times he wasn't there and the staff were terrible! They act like it's an inconvenience for them to even give you some of their attention. My husband and I went in to switch my number from my parents account to his account as well as upgrade my Samsung S7 to an S9 and possibly upgrade my husbands Iphone8 to a 10. We were immediately greeted when we first walked in and were asked what we were looking for. As soon as we explained that we were looking to upgrade our phones Isaiah directed us to the Google Pixel (which was on sale) and showed us his own phone to explain the features and all that. We were sold and both upgraded to the Pixel. Marianne was the associate who ended up helping us transfer everything over. It was quick and easy and she answered and explained everything we needed to know or any questions we had. She put on our screen protectors perfectly and put the phones in the cases and we were out the door! We have had our Pixels now for 5 days and we LOVE them. Just bought two phones and were in the store forever, they kept pushing their Verizon edge program constantly and we ended up leaving late. Then the next day we were overlooking our bill and realized we were over charged $100, which basically came down to double charging us for accessories. When we called they said we had to bring the bill in so we had to wait in line and then they kept looking at the bill for ten minutes between two different people before they finally admitted they made a mistake and credited our account. Next time I get a phone I will just order it on line and avoid the hassle. If you do go, check your receipt before you leave! read more

I moved to Tehachapi over a year ago and started doing business here at that time. I have had nothing but great service on EVERY visit and find the customer service here to be top notch. Yesterday I went in to pay a bill and ended up getting some help with a couple issues that I was not understanding with my tablet and Samsung phone. This kind of friendly customer service and support prompted me to explore purchasing a new tablet, in order to expand my portable electronic data experience. I was easily sold on a Samsung tablet, which I was pleased to have received the same friendly customer service with when I once again had questions that needed answering. Worst Verizon store ever took over an hour to change from an iPhone 5 to iPhone 6 unreal horrible service

When we bought our Motorola Droid Turbo phones we had a young man sales representative preach for the Edge program and make it sound too good to be true. When we were signing up for it his quote to us kept changing, and each one sounded just as confident as the last. He told us to come in after the weekend due to a proration problem and when we did his quote had risen $70 for "a new corporate tax policy that was JUST put into effect" Not so great. HOWEVER, when we returned 6 months later to troubleshoot one of the phones, the young man was nowhere to be seen and all the sales representatives seemed level-headed and honest. Anthony, the manager, is extremely nice and patient, and he helped me get a replacement phone by dealing with corporate tech support himself. The wait times are long, but it's a small store so that has to be excused, and Anthony brought us water after our wait. Try to be knowledgeable and realistic about the costs and procedures of buying smart phones, and you won't feel fooled into paying an arm and a leg. As for the treatment of their customers currently, I would recommend seeing how good it is for yourself, because I'm satisfied. read more

11-17-2017 Attention: Owner/Manager Verizon Store, Tehachapi, Ca I wanted to send my utmost thanks to your employee 'Dre'. Dre, was not only professional, but truly went the extra mile in correcting an unfortunate situation for my wife's 83 year old Grandmother, who is mobility impaired. To begin, less than 2 weeks ago, my wife's Grandmother's land line and internet went out in her house. After 3 days of not being able to contact anyone for help via a phone or internet, she went to your Verizon store. It should be noted she has NEVER owned or used a cell phone. She was sold 3 devices, when she only essentially needed a cell phone. Once we became aware and tried to get her new devices to work for her, we decided that all she needed was a single cell phone for simplicity and her ease of use, instead of 3 devices that seriously confused her. Dre, was instrumental in assisting us and provided excellent customer service. We were able to get her a single phone and got her account squared away with minor restocking fees. Ultimately, which will result in savings on her fixed monthly income. This was only possible with Dre's knowledge of all the red tape involved to accomplish our needs. I would give zero stars but it is not an option.... so here goes, I went to this location to pay off my phone and upgrade. Needless to say I was without a phone for about 5 hours in store and it took them a total of 7 hours to still not have my photos and contacts copied over to the new phone. I was very patient and nice in the beginning but when I get a call an hour before they close telling me they let the phone die on accident while it was transferring I began to get a little frustrated with the situation. I was instructed to take my old phone which was traded in home with me to try and do it myself which was fine EXCEPT I was already charged a 19.99 fee for setting up the new phone which INCLUDED transferring my data to new phone. Needless to say it did not work for me at home and I chose to drive down to a corporate store and get it handled since they could not seem to figure out which way was up at the store in tehachapi. When I came back to the tehachapi store to drop off the phone I already traded in, I voiced my concerns and told them I did not want to pay the transfer fee since they did not do it. I was informed by the manager there was nothing he could do and to call customer service. I am beyond disappointed in this store up here and will NOT go back for anything related to my phones or Verizon plan ever. read more

I have only had to go into this store for two reasons, when I switched to Verizon a few years ago and then at the end of March this year to upgrade my phone. Both times I had great service. I have to say I was really impressed when I went to upgrade my phone. I was helped by Julian (who has only been there a few months) and he was beyond helpful and provided excellent customer service. I told Julian I was in there to upgrade my phone because I was literally about to have a baby in a few days and needed a phone with more space so I could take lots of pictures. All of the employees that were working at that time suggested one of the newer phones that had just come out so I decided to give it a try. One of the employees had that phone but the model down and he let me look through his phone and showed me all the great things about it. Julian helped me transfer all my info from my old phone to the new one and though it really was great like he and the assistant manager, Jefferson, said it would be I realized I missed the iPhone too much so after I had my baby I went back to exchange it before my time ran out. Julian and Jefferson were both working when I went back in. There ended up being a problem with me exchanging the phone but they tried their best to figure out a way to fix it and make the exchange happen. Once I got my new iPhone picked out I asked if my info could again be transferred from the phone I had just gotten before the baby to the new iPhone and Julian said he would definitely do that. Well, as he started doing that for me he realized because it was an android phone that the info couldn't be moved to the iPhone. There wasn't an option for that in the phone. For some reason info can go from an iPhone to an android but not the other way. I told him I absolutely had to have my stuff transferred because I now had all the photos of my new baby on it. I couldn't just get my pictures off of the iCloud like storage (forget what it's called for android) because the storage was too full and never uploaded my new photos and to make this long story a little shorter, Julian kept trying different ways to move the photos to the new phone and said he wouldn't stop until he got it. I said if I had to, because it's an android, I would buy a memory card to upload the photos to and put them on my computer. He didn't want me to have to spend more money for something that I shouldn't have to spend money on. He even made a few phone calls for help and finally downloaded a free app that ended up working. I can't thank him enough for all his efforts considering those photos are irreplaceable and beyond important. It would've been easier for him to say sorry it can't be done or give some other excuse just to get out of doing it but he didn't and I greatly appreciate it. I'm very happy with my new iPhone 6s. Also just to add, while I was in there, which was a few hours because of the exchange and then photo transfer, I got to watch Julian, Jefferson and Jerrica (another sales rep) help other customers. All 3 were nothing but professional and provided great customer service. Two of the customers that came in ended up needing help with things that really weren't jobs for these guys (and girl) to fix but because they knew how to help the customers they went ahead and did so anyways. Hopefully this group of employees sticks around for awhile because this Verizon store here in Tehachapi will have much happier customers. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE OR ASK FOR HELP AT THIS VERIZON STORE. NO ONE IS ADEQUATELY TRAINED. THEY HAVE MINIMAL TECH KNOWLEDGE AND DO NOT ASK FOR HELP WHEN ITS OBVIOUSLY NEEDED! Purchased an updated phone. The"Salesman" (That's all they are.) Proceeded to download my old phone to the new phone, after finishing the download I was unable to receive emails. The "Salesman" worked on it and told me it was OK. I left, but found he didn't fix it as I was only able to receive emails in one of my four email addresses. Returned to this Verizon store and the "Salesman" that said he fixed it worked on it, again, and, AGAIN, it wasn't fixed, so back for the THIRD time to fix this email problem. This time another "Salesman" worked on it, obviously not knowing how to fix it, but continued looking on the computer at the 'What to do manual?'. My one request to this person was I didn't want the original "Salesperson" to work on it. After about 40 minutes, he said it needed to be re-downloaded from the old phone! After 1 1/2 hour I returned to the store, and I find the original "Salesperson" working on my phone! When the original "Salesperson+ came out he said he thought it was fixed, I then took the new phone and went to my emails and now NONE of them worked! When I told the original "Salesperson", he said, "There was nothing that could be done to fix it." Will NEVER return to my hometown Verizon store, again! :( From what I understand this Verizon Store Franchise has recently changed ownership. read more
